Melodic death metallers Railgun stream new single / video for 'No Machine'

Canada-based melodeath band, Railgun, have released a new music video for their single 'No Machine', streaming now.

Check out the video for 'No Machine', directed by Mike Hjorth, here: https://youtu.be/OU7TeVIqrBk

On the new single, Railgun state:

"Instrumentally, 'No Machine' was written to be a bare bones, no bells and whistles banger. It’s catchy, heavy, and straight to the point. We wanted to really boil down on the songwriting and production on this song so it would translate well into a live setting.

Lyrically, it touches upon a few different subjects, but broadly speaking it’s about forging your own way, towing the line between darkness and light. We definitely think people will relate to this song for a multitude of reasons."

Formed in 2009, Railgun's style is deeply influenced by the metalcore pioneers of the late 1990s and early 2000s. As time went on, and line ups changed, the band naturally transformed into something that was far more eclectic and versatile. Their debut full-length release, Tension (2018), firmly drives this point home when measured up against their previous works. Throughout the album, Railgun flaunt their ability to bridge the gap between crushing heavy riffs and beautiful melodic lines, a juxtaposition that has a unique way of drawing upon the deeply rooted emotions of the listener. Tension is a clear indication of Railgun’s unwavering dedication to make a name for themselves in metal.

To set down blueprints for their future, the band will be releasing a series of singles which will continue to grow and evolve not only the sound, but what Railgun is as an artistic endeavour. The previous and first single, 'Doom Town', is a testament to the band’s willingness to push past what people expect from them and tread into uncharted territory.
