Rob Halford, Massive Wagons, Heriot and The Black Spiders join forces with Metal For Good for Metal Merch Day 2025
Now in its third year, the annual Metal Merch Day fundraising campaign will take place on Friday 24th October 2025. Raising money for Metal For Good, the event fully embraces the charity’s values of togetherness, individuality, passion, integrity and belonging.
Metal For Good is urging rock and metal fans to proudly wear their favourite metal merch for a small charitable donation via JustGiving. Metal fans can also purchase the official event t-shirt designed exclusively by the talented Rory Petts, aka GraphicsFix who’s previously designed for Raised By Owls, Cage Fight and Party Cannon.

“The involvement and support of some incredible bands and musicians looks set to make the third Metal Merch Day the best one yet. We are so proud of the engagement from the metal and rock community in coming together to raise vital funds for the charity.” Lisa Bardsley - Metal For Good trustee.
There will also be an online auction giving the opportunity to own a piece of unique rock memorabilia from a selection of specially sourced items, including donations from Rival Sons, Iron Maiden, Those Damn Crows, Coheed and Cambria, Creeper and many more. All items will be available to bid on via the charity’s Ebay store from the 17th October.
Download Festival organiser Andy Copping has also donated dozens of items of music merchandise from his personal collection to include in the auction, so expect some very special items of merch up for grabs.
“I love Metal For Good and what they stand for. Once I was told they were doing a merch auction for their cause, I was more than happy to contribute. Going through some drawers at home and finding some classic merch pieces from years gone by, it felt good to know these were going to put to good use!” Andy Copping
All money raised will go to fund UK based community projects that use music to improve mental health, unlock young potential, and amplify underrepresented voices - because metal is more than music, it’s a movement.

Since the charity’s formation in 2022 sixteen projects have received funding all thanks to the contributions from the rock and metal community and by supporting Metal Merch Day this year - even more can be funded. Recent grant recipients include Scrapyard Studios, Building Circles: Gig Buddies, New Note Orchestra and Shoreham Allstars.
“Last year saw 1000s of music fans come together to celebrate their love of music merch and raise funds for incredible community projects using music to change lives. We are so excited to have the mighty Metal God - Rob Halford support the campaign alongside other amazing artists, brands and our charity ambassadors! We can’t wait to see what we can achieve together in 2025.” - Katy Baker, Co-founder, Metal For Good

About Metal For Good:
Fuelled by the unstoppable energy of the metal community, Metal For Good funds projects that use music to improve mental health, unlock young potential, and amplify underrepresented voices - because metal is more than music, it’s a movement.
The rock and metal community is truly unique. We’re brought together by a shared love of great music and a deep sense of belonging. We feel part of something bigger - accepted, understood, and supported, like someone’s always got our back.
Music is transformational. Whether playing, listening or watching live - it can be an escape when you are struggling, give you a voice when you feel unheard, bring people together, and give you the confidence and skills to thrive.
Through its fundraising, Metal For Good provides grants to community organisations that use music to change lives. Previously funded projects include The Music Works, Heads Above The Waves and Gig Buddies.
Metal For Good is registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, charity number 1201152.
