BREATHE IN THE SILENCE reveal video for 'Promised Lands'

BREATHE IN THE SILENCE have revealed the video for 'Promised Lands', a final taste of their new EP Hold My Heart which is available through Crooked Noise Records on 2nd September 2016.

First premiered by Kerrang! Magazine, check out the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hdfqgDQ7lQ

After their successful run of shows with Normandie in July, the quintet will return to the road in September for their own headline tour - they will be joined by special guests Beyond Recall.

Dates are as follows:

02.09.2016 - Cardiff, Clwb Ifor Bach
03.09.2016 - Derby, Sitwell Tavern
04.09.2016 - Dundee, Buskers Bar
05.09.2016 - Newcastle, Jumpin Jacks
06.09.2016 - London, 229 The Venue

‘Promised Lands’ shows a more mature side of the band as soaring vocals blend with softer melodies. That’s not to say that the five-piece have left their heavier roots behind as the EP welcomes back grittier post-hardcore elements: harsher riffs and guttural vocals at times juxtapose with vibrant melody to create an innovative blend of layers.

The band's live resume is one to be desired having already made appearances at Download Festival, Merthyr Rocks, Oxjam Festival and Butserfest. That’s not to mention the support that they've received from BBC Radio One, Kerrang! Radio and Metal Hammer off the back of their previous single ‘Feathers’, an impressive feat for such a young band.

Galactic Empire to strike back at the UK on 20 date tour

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....  a new heavy metal band was formed by some of the most infamous and feared villains in the galaxy - GALACTIC EMPIRE

Today, an old evil rises; the dark side of the force grows stronger... Today, news of Rogue One breaks, and so The Emperor gives word of his return to the galaxy. Dark Vader (lead guitar), Boba Sett (drums), Bass Commander (bass), Shadow Ranger (guitar) and Red Guard (guitar) are preparing to strike the UK this December, which is to become the first of the Empire's new colonies.

Lightsabers and blasters have proven to be weak against the rebel scum, so now they will be attacking with guitars, bass and drums, performing classic pieces from the iconic soundtrack of the Star Wars films, written by John Williams. Now, metal is the true path to the dark side. Will you join the Empire?

Check out Galactic Empire performing the main Star Wars theme here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPV9NNvtL20

Vader (guitar) had the following to say: "These instruments are crude but should be adequate to shred some faces as we journey across the galaxy. We have been doubling our efforts to complete our debut full-length album in time for The Emperor's arrival. Citizens of the United Kingdom: If you are not part of the Rebel Alliance or a traitor, prepare to be shown the true power of the dark side."

Ably supported by rogue solo maverick Nick Johnston, this tour is more powerful than you can possibly imagine.

Invasion plan:

01-Dec    Patterns (ex Audio), Brighton
02-Dec    Talking Heads, Southampton
03-Dec    The Hub, Plymouth
04-Dec    The Fleece, Bristol
05-Dec    The Globe, Cardiff

HUNDRED SUNS launch Indie Go-Go campaign for debut album

HUNDRED SUNS are a brand new three-piece made up of familiar faces, whose ambitious musical vision is to be realised this summer as they launch their album recording Indie Go-Go campaign.

Head to the Indie Go-Go page to check out the band's pledge video, which also reveals a clip of a new track: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/hundred-suns-new-full-length-album-rock-metal#/

Vocalist Cory Brandan (Norma Jean), Guitarist Chris LeMasters (ex Dead and Divine) and Drummer Ryan Leger (ex Every Time I Die) have been working together since 2013, sharing ideas and building the project's foundation. Their collective desire to step out of the box, take risks, and create something truly unique has been the driving force of their creativity, and after three years of hard work, HUNDRED SUNS are ready to make themselves known.

Check out HUNDRED SUNS' debut song ‘Fractional’ here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKee8UBYyOg

On the formation of the band, Cory commented "We are very excited to finally get this sucker off the ground!  We have been working hard to make this project come to life and it hasn't been easy with us living so far away from each other.  It's been three years in the making and we are as passionate as we ever have been to make Hundred Suns a reality.  I really love the crowd funding platform, it allows artists to connect directly with their fans in a huge way.  If all goes as planned, we'll be tracking as early as September and looking to hit the road as soon as we have a record in our hands.  We want to thank all our backers in advance for supporting this project and we can't wait to see and meet you all."

With a full album’s worth of material prepared, HUNDRED SUNS are all set to hit the studio to record their debut album, with pre-orders and exclusive bundles now available via Indie Go-Go. In addition to downloads, CDs and vinyl, the bundles include shirts, hoodies, posters, caps as well as exclusive studio experiences, documentaries and exclusive previews to the material. There will also be special musician packages which include guitars, drums, headphones and more.

Servers Release To Hell With You Video

The UK's dirtiest rock ‘n’ roll cult, SERVERS have released their brand new video for 'To Hell With You', which premiered via Metal Hammer Magazine yesterday.

"The song encompasses the view that here is no God or devil," comments bassist Lee Wilde (aka SERVER #0002)"There are people out there who are fanatics and they need to wise up, stop being naive, drop their guard and don't let these organisations exploit their weaknesses. With the video itself we tried to capture the chaos that religion can bring to this world and highlight the things they put people through for the sake of it all."

'To Hell With You' is taken from their forthcoming second album 'Everything is OK' which is set for release on the 19 August 2016 via Undergroove Records. 10 brooding tracks unleashing a healthy dose of melancholic beauty with equal amounts of haunting disposition, sonic drama, captivating hooks and 43 minutes of mood-building tension, succinctly enveloped by vocalist Lee Storrar's (ex G.U. Medicine) evocative, untouchable vocal delivery.

The band recently released a free track download of another track, Spells, which you can grab a copy of here: https://soundcloud.com/serversband/spells/s-TZSEd

Catch the band at their album launch show on August 19th at the Barnsley Rock and Blues Bar.

Everything is OK will be released on August 19 via Undergroove Records. Pre-orders are available now via iTunes

Synth alt-rock duo SKIES reveal video for 'Hold On'

Synth-rock duo SKIES have revealed the video for their new single 'Hold On', following its digital release last month.

Premiered by TicketMaster Blog, check out the video here: https://youtu.be/9kx8hpQbVGY

A band unafraid of genre experimentation SKIES take elements of synth, rock and pop to deliver a sound that is epic and mesmerising in equal measures, effortlessly bridging the gap between indie and alternative.

New single Hold On reveals a deeper and darker side to SKIES; quirky synth-led melodies interlace with gritty guitars and Alie Cottle’s infectious vocal tones to create a dense atmosphere that musically illustrates the lyrical theme: mortality.

“‘Hold On’ is a song about being mortal, and wondering why we are,” explains vocalist/guitarist Alie Cotter. “It’s something that I’m really intrigued about, these rules we have to live by, and no one knows exactly why. I just wanted to explore it a bit - the song itself came together really naturally, it was one of those moments where it all fell in place.”

With previous support from BBC Radio 1 DJs Huw Stephens and Phil Taggart, BBC Introducing Kent and Amazing Radio for their single ‘Drone’ which Q magazine called “A contemporary pop-rock anthem", SKIES have rapidly cemented themselves as a high potential act and they continue to do so with this latest single.

A sound that translates monumentally live, SKIES have already made their mark on venues across the UK, most recently supporting pop-rockers Evarose on their album launch run.

Catch SKIES on one of the following dates:

25/08/2016 – London, The Islington (Good Karma Club)
07/09/2016 – Manchester, The Pen & Pencil
08/09/2016 – Tunbridge Wells, Forum
18/09/2016 – Ramsbottom Festival
19/10/2016 – London, Camden Assembly

‘Hold My Heart’ is a fitting introduction, a more mature side of the band evident with soaring vocals blending with softer melodies. FOES announce debut album 'The Summit Lies Skyward' and reveal new single 'Young Sovereign'

Progressive post-rockers FOES are excited to announce that they'll be releasing their debut album The Summit Lies Skyward on the 7th October 2016 via Basick Records. Pre-orders have launched to coincide with the announcement here: https://basickrecords.bandcamp.com/album/the-summit-lies-skyward

The quartet have revealed their new single 'Young Sovereign', which was premiered on Alex Baker's Fresh Blood Show on Kerrang! Radio. Listen to it here: https://soundcloud.com/basickrecords/young-sovereign/s-UHDYO

Of the album, the band comment:

"We couldn't be more proud that we're finally able to release this album. For us, it's the culmination of three years of hard work with FOES, and a year of solid writing. Every element of the record was created and considered with the mindset of making a debut we'd hope could stand the test of time. To then be able to take the finished product, and release it through one of our favourite UK labels is a huge privilege. We hope this album can mean as much to someone else as it does to us."

FOES recently announced a co-headline tour with We Never Learned To Live, the dates for which surround the band's appearances at ArcTanGent, Throwfest and Fort Fest.

Dates are as follows:

20.08 - Bristol, ArcTanGent Festival
21.08 - Cardiff, Throwfest
25.08 - Chester, Live Rooms*
26.08 - Cheltenham, Frog & Fiddle*
27.08 - Basingstoke, Sanctuary*
28.08 - Bridgwater, Cobblestones*
29.08 - Bristol, Mothers Ruin*
03.09 - Bedfordshire, Fort Fest

*w/ We Never Learned To Live

FOES’ ability to make complex ideas accessible and create hooks out of the unexpected has been further refined on The Summit Lies Skyward. Big riffs and intelligent rhythmic arrangements are present but unimposing, providing an intricate base for the atmospheric backdrop and emotive vocals at the forefront. From the opening intricate guitar work in ‘The Choir Invisible’ to the metallic stomp on ‘Young Sovereign’ and the infectious chorus in ‘Sworn Host’, The Summit Lies Skyward has huge musical diversity, yet somehow FOES unify these extremes into a sound that is completely unique to themselves.
