UK psychedelic sludge colossus BOSS KELOID have premiered the new video for their earthquakingly rumbling track Axis of Green via Metal Hammer Magazine. The track is taken from their critically acclaimed sophomore album Herb Your Enthusiasm which was released in April via BlackBow Records.

Ion Dissonance Premiere New Track and Video - To Lift The Dead Hand of the Past

"Brutal and Brilliant." – Rock Sound
"Best album of the year so far." - Distorted Sound Mag
"F*ck. Yes!" - Soundscape

Revitalised Montreal crushers Ion Dissonance present their newest music video, "To Lift the Dead Hand of the Past" .

Premiered on Metal Injection, enjoy the darkly cinematic clip, directed by JP Charlebois, here: https://youtu.be/b1OkuskX7bg

The song appears on Ion Dissonance's upcoming album, Cast the First Stone – the band's first since 2010. A monstrous comeback, Cast the First Stone will be released November 18th on Good Fight Music. As Metal Injection puts it, "The band that kicked you in the teeth back in the early '00s are back with a few new deadly tricks! Their chaotic blend of math-core meets brutality shines though on one of the most intense albums of the year."

Ion Dissonance first mixed dizzying math and earthquaking heaviness back in the early/mid '00s and, along with bands like Despised Icon and The Red Chord, set the stage for hundreds of like-minded bands to follow. Ion Dissonance's impact on the current state of metal and hardcore is massive – and with new album Cast the First Stone, these forefathers have returned to continue pushing the genre forward.

Certain things are better left in the past. Prophecies unfold unto victims of circumstance, but regret is a broken window that shouldn't be rehashed. The alarming certainty of life is the realization that it is merely a temporary respite between birth and death. Certain things are better left in the past.

UK rockers RETRO YOUTH reveal video for 'Hometown Homesick'

UK rock trio RETRO YOUTH have revealed the video for their brand new single 'Hometown Homesick', a taste of their debut album B.R.A.V.E which is due for release in early 2017 via American label Independent Ear Records.

“We’re so stoked to be finally sharing with everyone what we’ve been working on the last 12 months,” the band told Punktastic who premiered the video. “Hometown Homesick is a bittersweet one for us and it represents those feelings of everything you know changing around you, not recognising your friends or the place you grew up in anymore and wanting more out of life, to thrive and not just survive.”

Watch the video here: https://youtu.be/dYp9yVJYcO8

Hailing from the North West of England, Retro Youth take elements of rock, pop and funk to create an enthralling and diverse sound. The vibrancy of the material is reflected in the lyrics of B.R.A.V.E, which explore the avenues of finding positivity in the things that test us. For fans of Don Broco, Lower Than Atlantis and The 1975, the three-piece have supported Ghost Riders In The Sky, Catfish & The Bottlemen and Press To MECO, as well as members of Oasis and The Stone Roses.

More album details will be revealed soon!

Aphyxion reveal album details and stream new video

Danish modern metal 5-piece APHYXION will release their new album Aftermath on 2nd December and have revealed their new single / video 'Destined To Fail'.

Check it out here: https://youtu.be/vyQyut5mLZw

Aftermath is an 11 track monstrous blend of aural savagery, which is set to make Denmark’s brightest hopes the fastest rising new band in Europe. Having honed in on their strengths: crushing riffs, gargantuan hooks and punchy song structures, their second album sees them step up their game to par with some of the biggest bands in today’s scene. This is all the impressive given that they are barely in their 20s.

Since forming, the band has played over 100 shows with dates on multiple European tours, a performance at Copenhell and one at Wacken, where the then 16-year-old members hold the record for being the youngest band to play the festival.

Aphyxion have been nominated for “Best Live Band” at the Danish Metal Awards, the “Audience Award” at Royal Metal Grand Prix and also have been recognized by Metal Hammer UK, Metal Hammer DE and UK broadsheet The Guardian. Again, this is all the more impressive for such a young band.

Aphyxion was produced by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Aborted, Primal Fear) and guitarist Jonas Haagensen at Hansen Studios in their home town of Ribe, Denmark.

The coming year will see the band tour far and wide in support of Aftermath.

FALLS announce new EP 'CREAM' and stream new single 'Live Delicious'

Self proclaimed "f*&k rockers" FALLS will release their new EP CREAM on the 2nd December 2016 through their own label Naughty Strawberry.

To coincide with the EP news the band are streaming their new single 'Live Delicious', check it out here: https://soundcloud.com/fallsband-1/live-delicious/s-95y5w

The 4-track record will be available digitally and in the form of the band's own Liberator comic book, which was designed by artist Joan Edam and will be accompanied with an EP download code. Pre-orders are available via FALLS' website: www.fallsband.co.uk

"In CREAM we have taken the opportunity to explore both the darker and more playful extremes of FALLS' collective psyche," says guitarist Philip Kelsall of the new material. "This EP showcases precisely who we are as people, and in doing so justifies the concerns of our friends and families. The writing process made our bassist sick, the recording process made our engineer sick, now all that's left is to make the world sick."

The EP news coincides with FALLS' London residency, which kicks off tonight (13th October) at The Macbeth. Set to take place across dates throughout October and November, the quartet will be hosting slumber party themed nights at the venue including pillow fights, late night ghost stories, peanut butter & jelly sandwiches and above all, loud noises.

The shows will also see performances from some of the UK's most exciting bands, the first of which will be their friends Allusondrugs.

The residency will take place across the following dates, with the rest of the support acts to be announced in due course:

13th October (w/ Allusondrugs)

10th November
24th November

At just £3 a ticket - available in advance via the band's website - these shows are not to be missed.

Ion Dissonance are Perpetually Doomed

"A jarring, relentless listen, forever tantalizing listeners with meaty grooves that last just long enough to make the next flight of blinding technicality that much more disorienting. Ion Dissonance are absolute masters of this brains-and-brawn dichotomy."
–Stereogum

Stereogum has premiered new Ion Dissonance track "Perpetually Doomed: The Sisyphean Task," off the Montreal band's upcoming new album, Cast the First Stone.

A monstrous comeback after five years' silence, Cast the First Stone will be released November 18th on Good Fight Music.

Stereogum's Doug Moore exalts Ion Dissonance's vexing puzzles of technicality and groove, calling the band "absolute masters of this brains-and-brawn dichotomy."
