Aussie rockers FIGURES have premiered the video for new single 'Alpha', the second track released from the upcoming new EP, Chronos , set for release on 16 June.

Packed full of huge hooks, groove-driven riffs and cleverly subtle dynamics, 'Alpha' is another great taster of FIGURES' inventive and accessible sound. 

Vocalist Mark Tronson commented: "'Alpha' lyrically explores the idea of ‘the artists' struggle’ through both the eyes of the artist and their supporters, both view points being vastly different. Where a fan may look upon an artist as someone living out their potential in an awe-inspiring or romanticised way, the fact is this: behind the curtain there is a whole world of stress, doubt, financial struggles, anxiety and thousands of other pressures that any artist must endure to achieve and maintain success. For myself, it’s a song about the internal risk/reward debate that comes with this type of lifestyle choice. The video itself was shot and edited by our good friend and photographer Andrew Basso from Electrum Photography here in Melbourne. He followed us around the last few gigs of 2016 and early 2017 to make an awesome live montage, including footage from Progfest 2016 and our support show for Twelve Foot Ninja in Jan 2017."

UK TECH-FEST has announced two changes to their stellar line-up. Replacing BETRAYING THE MARTYRS are Dutch tech-metal legends TEXTURES at their final UK festival. Replacing SLEEP TOKEN are THE PARALLAX METHOD.

After-parties and workshops are still to be announced, as well as the final headliner. If July is too far away, Tech-Fest are hosting an All-Dayer at London's New Cross Inn on June 17th.

Metal/hardcore quartet BAILER return with the video for their brand new single 'In For A Penny, In For A Pound', their first material since their 2016 debut EP Shaped By The Landscape. The track is taken from the band's forthcoming EP PTSD, which is due for release on the 16th June and is the first in a series of short releases for the band this year.

Mysterious collective Sleep Token have released their new single and video for 'Calcutta'. The song comes ahead of their new EP release, Two, out July 21st via Basick Records.

Having utterly obliterated the stages at UK Tech-Fest, Deadbolt and Mosh On The Tyne, as well as sharing the stage with the likes of Decapitated and Heart Of A Coward, Borders have upped the ante with Diagnosed, creating an even more ominous and demonic presence. Their most punishingly dark and sinister record to date featuring new vocalist Jordan “JJ” Olifent, Diagnosed is a short release but apt in its meaning, symbolically referencing drugs, mental health, pharmaceutical companies governed by billion-dollar corporate industries, media manipulation and corruption with unique twists and messages in the lyrics.

Black Coast emerged at the beginning of 2016 and have since caught the attention of Rock Sound and Kerrang! Radio. 2016 was a non-stop year for the band, from releasing their debut EP Crows Of The North to touring the UK relentlessly to show off their talents on the live circuit. 2017 has seen the quintet release their gritty and anger-fuelled single 'Lawless' as well as tour Japan, all whilst working away in the studio on their forthcoming record.
