Metal/hardcore quartet BAILER are streaming their new single 'Feel It More', the second track to be taken from their self-titled EP - due for release on 9th February via Distro-y Records. Following on from 2017’s PTSD and 2016’s Shaped By The Landscape, BAILER is an ambitious collection of tracks that showcase a band who have truly discovered their sound.

"We all get caught up in the heat of the moment sometimes, and it makes it hard for us to stand back and take it all in," the band comment of the track. "We wrote this song at a time where it was really easy for us to see everything for what it was and really feel it. Those moments can be rare these days."

With a small discography the four-piece have impressively garnered attention from Metal Hammer, Kerrang! Radio presenter Alex BakerMetal Injection and Heavy Blog Is Heavy, an achievement that is no mean feat for a band so early into their career. BAILER have spent their short time as a band building up a strong reputation in their home ground, having played shows alongside Norma Jean, Sick Of It All, Employed To Serve, HECK, Murdock, Shields, Red Enemy and more.

That is the exact feeling we had while writing this, and that is what 'Yearning Desire' is about. Most of the time songs keep growing on us once we recorded them for an album or whatever, and it was so much fun to go back to the studio and do some of our songs from Waiting to Derail again. Only this time with cameras rolling too and not one single overdub! What you see is what you get. Here is 'Yearning Desire' live and we have now released a whole EP with 7 songs live from GieSound Studios. We hope everybody enjoys these versions as much as we do."

Dissonant Newcomers God Complex Release Second Video
god complex 1.jpg

Dissonant newcomers GOD COMPLEX have released their second brutal video, the claustrophobic 'Insignificant'.

Standing at a whirlwind 84 seconds, 'Insignificant' was premiered on Decibel. You can now watch the video here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8brHbphYyRk

Embed: <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/8brHbphYyRk" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>

'Insignificant' follows on from God Complex's debut video, the violent 'Hate Runs Through Me'. The exciting introduction to the blackened hardcore-tinged band had Metal Injection say "they're on a path of destruction that'll be hard to stop" with "a keen sense of down-tuned melodic riffs, catchy hardcore hooks, and unsettling dissonance to keep it constantly interesting".

Although only forming last year, the Liverpool-based UK band have already toured with Venom Prison and Corrupt Moral Altar, and played alongside Loathe.

Catch the band live at one of the following dates:

25.02.2018 - Manchester - Satan's Hollow w/ Traitors

HYVMINE Release New Video and Debut Album
hymine 1.jpg

The future heroes of hard rock have arrived in the form of HYVMINE. The American quartet's stunning debut album Earthquake is out now and the band have unveiled their video for the single 'Shogun'

Directed by Hollywood Undead's Brian Cox, check out 'Shogun' here: https://youtu.be/AoD8F5OLAYg

Al Joseph (vocals, lead guitars) states: Earthquake, the album, is a theme built on the unknown paths I’ve chosen to take in my life from here on out. It is a display on how I handle adversity, love and even outright catastrophe. Every song echos the theme, in one way or another. This project to me marks a turning point in my creative mindset for the better. I’m happy that with this music we are aiming to make a positive impact on a vast number of souls to come. I am proud of this record because although it features the reviving of some of my older tunes, it has truly formed itself and shined through all the chaos.

"The ‘Shogun’ music video displays our energy as a band. We’re all just living life without apology. Life without limits. We chose to go with a more simple shoot on the video because we really want to convey that raw performing power of the group. We wanted to deliver as much attitude as we could off the performance alone. ‘Shogun’ is that 'fuck you' song that I feel best says, 'ready or not, here we come!'

"We have a lot going on in 2018 already. With every member of the band finally stepping foot in this industry, we each have a lot planned to show the world what we’ve got. We’re talking tours, shows, clinics, new music and even signature crafted brews. We are here and we are ready!"

HYVMINE play their debut show opening for Intervals and Nick Johnston at Slide Bar in LA on Thursday 25th January.

In the band's own words:

“We wanted to play on the concept of madness with this song. This world makes us lose ourselves, and sometimes we lose control. Each of us do have a normal side, and a crazy alter-ego on the other side. This interactive music video plays on this, with an opposition between a soft version of the band and the crazier version. Both teams take a look at each other. The bright side tries to keep calm while the dark side shows the fury. Which alter-ego are you today? Choose your team!”

Cabal unveil new single / video
409756.JPG

Danish extreme metallers CABAL have released the first single / video single, 'False Light', from their upcoming debut album Mark Of Rot, out 23 February.

Premiered on Metal Hammer, check it out here: https://youtu.be/g1YUHShKlm8

CABAL are one of the most brutal and promising heavy acts hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark. The band create a visceral and doom-laden atmosphere throughout both their music and visual expression. The production is crystal clear, whilst the songs draw inspiration from black and death metal to djent, hardcore and more.

Mark Of Rot is the band's debut album and the follow-up to their critically acclaimed EP Purge from 2016, which earned them an award for best rock music video of the year, as well as national radio playtime. Following the release of PurgeCABAL have played several sold-out shows, shared the stage with widely renowned international acts and toured across Europe.

Mark Of Rot sees CABAL expanding on their signature sound, by incorporating bigger shifts in tempo and more eerie melodies, whilst still staying true to what made people take notice in the first place, bone-crushing heaviness and an unrelenting feeling of uneasiness. Adding to this, both guest-vocalists CJ McMahon (Thy Art Is Murder) and Filip Danielsson (Humanity’s Last Breath), leave no doubt that Mark Of Rot is an unstoppable wrecking ball.

The lyrics on Mark Of Rot sit within the soundscape, and continue the theme from Purge - expanding on the mythos around a death cult determined to bring forth the end of existence.

Mark Of Rot will be released on 23 February, 2018 via Long Branch Records.

The album will be available in a verity of limited bundles via the Long Branch Records shop. The highlight is a bundle with an exclusive CABAL-necklace made of .925 sterling silver! Only 10 available!

Blackened Death Metallers KAOTEON to Release New Album
K-shot1.jpg

Introducing KAOTEON, a death metal band with a savage blackened attack in the form of their new full-length album, Damnatio Memoriae. The album is due for release on February 23, 2018.

Premiered via Metal Injection, KAOTEON have released their title track and you can listen here:
https://youtu.be/gVHcFrVcdEg

As a species, humanity has plunged itself into an abyss of displacement, greed, tension and paranoia. Out of the hellish darkness emerges Lebanese extreme death metal band KAOTEON.

KAOTEON is an unusual east-west international extreme metal collaboration, originally hailing from the Middle East but now based in Amsterdam. For Damnatio Memoriae, full-time members Anthony Kaoteon (Death Drive) on guitar and vocalist Walid Wolflust (Ordum, ex-Gothmog) tapped the distinctive talents of bass wizard Linus Klausenitzer of Obscura and drum master Fredrik Widigs of Marduk as guests. After performing with them live for the first time in Beirut in April at the Beirut Metal Fest, Klausenitzer described KAOTEON as, “legends of the Lebanese metal scene”.

As a band, KAOTEON has faced censorship at the highest levels in their home country – they have been put in jail for devil worshipping, attacked by religious groups, and raided several times by police trying to use them as scapegoats to mask political and religious problems in the region. It's a terrifying but enthrallingly honest story of a metal band trying to exist, succeed and break out of the Middle East.

Vocalist Walid Wolflust says: “Lebanese metalheads are some of the friendliest and most amazing people to hang out with. It is sad to see great potential in this world gone to waste because someone somewhere decided to label people at birth and imprison them into their borders. The scene itself is thirsty for metal, so international bands should expect amazing interaction from the crowd. The Dutch scene – where we exist now – shows strong support for local talent, unlike the Lebanese scene. The Dutch scene loves their bands above all, while we feel that the Lebanese metal scene favors the international bands.”

Damnatio Memoriae succeeds at portraying the band’s justified “f*ck-the-world” outlook with nine poisonous tracks that brim with exhilarating magnetism and needle-sharp riffing. Beginning at track one with 'Damnatio Memoriae' – which describes the ancient Latin punishment of eradicating a person or figure from all memory and mention. KAOTEON unleash an all-out ferocious aural assault, attacking the very foundations of their genre with absolute conviction.

Referring to the inclusion of Linus Klausenitzer and Fredrik Widigs on this album, Wolflustadds: “Linus and Fredrik are extraordinary musicians playing with state of the art bands each in their respective genres. Linus is a melodic bass maestro and Fredrik has an amazing delivery that does not lose groove while still being as aggressive as it can get. The best thing about them being a part of this project is that Linus has become a very close friend to us, and that’s what really matters at the end of the day.”

Damnatio Memoriae was self-recorded by KAOTEON, with mixing and mastering credited to renowned Swedish producer Daniel Bergstrand, who is recognised for his celebrated work with bands such as BehemothDark FuneralDimmu Borgir and many more of today’s top metal artists.

Damnatio Memoriae is explosive metal at its finest, and is sure to be one of the most buzzed about extreme metal releases of the year.
