2017 bought the band an unforgettable year: summer saw the band support the likes of Stray From The Path before setting out on a full Japanese tour, hitting some of the biggest cities in the country including Tokyo and Nagoya. The band followed this up with performances alongside Gideon, In Hearts Wakeand Silent Screams.
BLACK COAST are well known for their tireless work ethic, and show no signs of slowing down in 2018. The band signed to Primordial Records for the release of their second offering, a double EP titled Ill Minds Volume 1 & 2 - a ferocious and relentless assault on your eardrums, combining melodic and intense sections to form their very own style.

Unique Leader proudly announces the addition of Slovenian true slam act WITHIN DESTRUCTION to their ever expanding roster.
The group, which according to Metal Injection “are quite literally responsible for reshaping the sound of deathcore”, will be reissuing their absolutely savage 2018 release Deathwish worldwide on October 12th. In a 10/10 review New Transcendencesaid of the album “WITHIN DESTRUCTION prove that their debut slam-dunk, Void, wasn’t just beginners luck, and instead, the first step in what’s shaping up to be an immense, immolating journey of ungodly heaviness.”
Featuring WITHIN DESTRUCTION’s most inspired and relentlessly brutal songwriting, jaw dropping artwork and a devastating mix by Will Putney (Thy Art Is Murder, Fit For An Autopsy), Deathwish is not only an excellent follow up to their 2016 debut Void, but it is set to become a modern death metal classic.
The band has also premiered a new music video for their track 'Self Hatred'.

Musically Prognosis have cultivated their own sound on this record, developing their Ghost EP and 'Drones' single. Labelled once as “Mastodon playing Carcassâ€, the band include a host of subtle influences which makes Definition a highly rewarding listen. Beyond groove metal, the band also emulate Dream Theater and Muse, the technicality of Jeff Loomis, and the abrasive elements of Death and beyond. Lyrically, the songs are bound together by a concept which looks at the flawed characteristics that define us as humans, such as selfishness, greed and imperiousness. All combined, the band create music that is at once progressive, grounded, over-the-top and ferocious, and well deserving a listen.
To add to the album, co-guitarist/vocalist Phil Weller has penned a book of short stories expanding on the stories. From a dystopian sci-fi tale of survival and a tragic love story (think Steven Wilson meets Romeo and Juliet) to a King who cons his way into heaven, the multi-genre collection reveals the songs in deeper and different lights. Available soon.
In their short history Prognosis have played at Bloodstock (2017), and supported Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, Threshold, Lawnmower Deth, Conjurer, Boss Keloid; and are due to play Mammoth Fest 2018.

01.High Road
02. Echoes
03. Isolation
04. Downfall
05. Repentance
06. The Sycophant

Make Me Young, Etc out 26 October via Rockosmos
London alt-rock quartet Thumpermonkey return with their breathtaking full-length Make Me Young, Etc which will be released via Rockosmos on 26th October, and have unveiled their new single / video ‘Veldt’.
Premiered via Prog magazine, check out ‘Veldt‘ here: https://youtu.be/g4GKEoaq6ig
Guitarist and vocalist Michael Woodman commented: "When I originally came up with 'Veldt', I'd been listening to the inscrutable nightmare soundscapes of noughties Scott Walker, (particularly tracks where he would take something sweet and add uncomfortable drones - emotional resonances that were difficult to process in terms of words like 'happy' or 'sad'). I wanted to do something like that. This is technically a love song."
'Veldt' is taken from the new album Make Me Young, Etc, a concept record that counts down to the end of existence.
In 2012, following the release of Thumpermonkey’s Sleep Furiously album, singer Michael Woodman received a random email from a fan called Max whom, feeling an affinity with Woodman, felt obligated to share with him his revelation of the end of the world.
Woodman, initially wrote the email off as an artefact from an oddball, but in the following months he found himself beginning to think about Max’s message and the mysterious person behind it with increasing frequency. Woodman never attempted to reply to Max, and to this day, Max has never contacted Woodman again.
Make Me Young, Etc arks a clear evolution for Thumpermonkey. Guitarist and pianist Rael Jones’s day job as a screen composer infiltrates and inflates the music into an epic cinemascope fever-dream – a backdrop to Woodman’s unique stream of consciousness vocal style, perfectly suspended in a score to a film that doesn[‘t exist.
Make Me Young, Etc exists in homage to the unknown Max, and poses the question; if you knew tomorrow was the end of the world, would you be able to let go of all your regrets, and live differently for just one day?
Thumpermonkey have been slowly but surely building their reputation as a captivating live band, and 2018 has seen them perform at 8 Years of Chaos Festival, EppyFest and select shows including a support with Polymath.
The band will next headline The Victoria in Dalson, London on 11 October. Purchase tickets here: https://www.wegottickets.com/event/438848

EP T.H.R.E.E. out now
UK progressive metal band DIVIDIUM release 'Body Harvest' video.
Taken from new E.P, T.H.R.E.E, and drawing influence from bands such as TesseracT and Protest the Hero, the track is a soundscape of aggression and emotion that details the breakdown of important relationships and a change of direction in life.
Watch 'Body Harvest' here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLscSF41IQk
Lead singer, Neil Bailey, said ‘This song was the simplest track to write on the album. The premise of the song was based on a single moment from about 10 years ago when I realised very suddenly that the relationship I was in was toxic and essentially over. I was aware that no matter how hard I tried or how long I waited for things to fix themselves, they never would. It crushed me. It took me a long time to come to terms with it but I’m glad it happened. This song was something I’d always wanted to write but I never seemed to be able to find the right words, until we began writing 'Body Harvest'. It’s the song I’m most proud of on the EP and the passion and devastation really comes through in the vocal delivery and lyrical content.’
Moving from beautifully sweeping guitar, through to aggressive riffs and complimented by expressive and unique vocal delivery, the song blends the lines between technical metal and modern song writing.
DIVIDIUM have supported many acts including Tesseract, Malefice, Valis Ablaze, Exist Immortal, toured the UK with The Colour Line and played Tech Fest, which has enabled them to refine their incredible live show. More live dates will be announced soon.
