Columbus, Ohio based post-rock band, THE END OF THE OCEAN, shared their newest sprawling single, 'desire', yesterday via a premiere with Revolver Magazine. 'desire' follows the band’s highly anticipated return to releasing new music with 'bravado' earlier this month. Both tracks will be featured on their upcoming sophomore album, -aire, which will be their first album since 2012.

Produced by Mike Watts (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Glassjaw), -aire will be released by Rude Records / Equal Vision Records on and is now available for pre-order. 

Speaking on the track the band says:

'Desire is a sprawling landscape of multiple meanings. It is a motivator for action, it attaches meaning where there may not have been any before, and at it’s worst it is the impetus for intense personal torture, a deep ache of longing. With "desire", we set out to showcase all interpretations of the word but leave room for the listener's own reflection.'

This is the first new material since the band's highly praised 2011 debut, Pacific-Atlantic. With so much going on in their personal lives, Tara Mayer (keys) says that THE END OF THE OCEAN needed to “give ourselves a chance to hurt so that we could have the chance to heal” before even thinking about another release. The past few years have forced the band to come to terms with their own humanity and mortality, as well as that of their bandmates and friends. Now finally in a place to focus on new music, THE END OF THE OCEAN are back and stronger than ever.

Their new music balances rich, thoughtful melodic passages, high-energy riff-wielding and truly epic climatic outpourings. Championed for their maelstrom of nostalgia, hope, beauty, melancholy, chaos and tranquillity, THE END OF THE OCEAN are bigger, bolder and ready to return.

Metallic hardcore quartet BAILER have released a live video, capturing their entire show at Knockanstockan Music & Arts Festival in Wicklow, Ireland on 29th July 2018. The independent festival welcomes Irish bands of all genres, and as the only hardcore band on the line-up BAILERheadlined the second stage. 

"I've never felt more at home than I did on that stage," explains vocalist Alex O'Leary."Everything that was needed for a perfect BAILER show was present, all smiles and relived frustration on people's faces. Just pure fun. The video highlights our hunger right now to bring what you see here to a stage near you."

The footage sees the band deliver a chaotic and ferocious set, giving fans a taste of what to expect from their remaining shows in 2018, which includes a UK headline tour at the end of November.

Formed in Brighton in 2015 by three musicians who set out to write music without boundaries, TOSKA have been making huge waves in progressive and muso circles since their inception. Together they bring an impressive range of skill, experience and knowledge to create music that’s both intellectually stimulating, but also highly accessible.

Taking influence from a huge span of music including Karnivool, SikTh, Hans Zimmer, Thomas Newmann and Gustav Holst, TOSKA use vast dynamics and obscure chord voicing to convey a very emotional and cinematic tonality. It’s almost impossible to pin a genre tag on them, but words such as prog, metal, post-rock and math-rock could be used to describe their sonic elements.

The success of 2016's EP Ode To The Author launched the band onto the live circuit earning them tours in the UK & Europe with the likes of Black Peaks and Arcane Roots and slots at ArcTanGent and UK Tech Fest. The band are now ready to step their game up another notch with debut album Fire By The Silos, a concept album with many twists, turns; a stunning musical journey packed with depth and colour, with a slightly sinister undertone.

The band explain: “Fire By The Silos is a concept album. An idea grown from social observation; looking at humans, aspects of the world, and the direction we’re going in. It’s set in the near future and focuses specifically on a person affected by great political and economic change, forced to lose everything. Fire By The Silos attempts to describe the psychological and emotional torment that takes”.

The members of TOSKA have a strong presence in the music scene in their own right and have amassed huge YouTube followings. Combining their collective fanbases, guitarist Rabea Massaad (192k subscribers), drummer Ben Minal (32K subscribers), drummer Dave Hollingworth (13K subscribers), plus the many fans they’ve picked up on  the road, TOSKA are rapidly becoming the UK’s most talked about instrumental act.

A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH reveal details for their new album titled When The World Becomes Undone.

After re-signing with SPV, the New York quintet featuring - Sal Abruscato [vocals, guitar], Eddie Heedles [guitar], Joe Taylor [guitar], Eric Morgan [bass], and Johnny Kelly [drums] will release their 3rd studio album on January 18th, 2019 via the Long Branch Records imprint. The first single 'Love The Ones You Hate' will be released November 16th, 2018.

Beauty often blossoms at the root of darkness. A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH siphon strangely blissful melodies from apocalyptic heavy metal awash in swells of cavernous gothic keys and grunge song-craft  The band continue to excavate vulnerability from venom on their anxiously awaited third full-length album, When The World Becomes Undone. A delicate dichotomy drives the avowed and acclaimed “Brooklyn Lords of Doom.”

“It’s our signature combination of seemingly depressing and dark musical tones with unexpectedly pretty melodies,” affirms Sal Abruscato. “There’s a hypnotic phenomenon that happens when you take super heavy riffs and add a harmonic sensibility. It allows you to drift off and zone out.”

The new album was mastered by Maor Appelbaum (Faith No More, Meat Loaf, Yes, Sepultura, Halford etc.) at Maor Appelbaum Mastering while the artwork was once again created by Sam Shearon (Rob Zombie, Fear Factory, Cradle of Filth etc.).

With hints of Lonely The Brave and Deaf Havana, 'Dust' is a powerful introduction that sees the members of DEAD REYNOLDS combine the strengths from their previous projects, delivering heartfelt and striking alt-rock. 

Guitarist/vocalist Dominic Greenwood says of the single:

“‘Dust’ is about one person’s struggle with the feeling that the world is against them but knowing who they can depend on when the chips are down, having doors closed in their face and going back to the place where they feel like they belong, but still don’t really fit. Ultimately everything turns to ‘Dust’, so the song is about a journey and the feeling that we all just fly. There are references to the disbelief in religion after the loss of someone. I think this will be a firm favourite live.”

All limited editions of the Strangefruit EP have now sold out amidst support from Kerrang! Radio, Planet Rock, Classic Rock Magazine, Rolling Stone, and BBC Introducing.

RIVAL BONES are comprised of just two members: Chris Thomason (formerly of Boss Keloid) on drums, while the powerful riffing and vocals come from James Whitehouse.

The duo sit astride several musical worlds, bringing to mind Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, and Audioslave, all while showing that less is more.

RIVAL BONES made their debut back in 2015 with the release of ‘You Know Who You Are’, receiving airplay from BBC Introducing, Planet Rock, Kerrang Radio, Team Rock, Amazing Radio and Real XS.

Followed up by ‘Robot Girl’ and ‘Lost Along the Way’ in 2016, the two-piece began to establish themselves as one of the hottest rock bands to emerge from the North West in the last decade. Upon their return the band were invited to support Frank Turner's Mongol Horde, Electric Six, Dead! and Fizzy Blood at their respective shows in Manchester and were booked to perform at Sound City Liverpool, Focus Wales and The Alternative Escape, as well as Amplified Festival and INmusic Festival Zagreb.
