SYLAR is a celebration of self-expression, against a backdrop of down-tuned bounce, stadium ready choruses, and streetwise hip-hop flavor. The Queens, New York sonic stomp squad are positioned as a new voice for the voiceless, unapologetically championing the underdog, reigniting the rap/rock genre, and doing it all with style.

They’ve taken the melodic might of Linkin Park, the swagger of Limp Bizkit, the atmosphere of Deftones, the straightforward bounce of P.O.D. and the heaviness of Marilyn Manson, and forged something uniquely their own, blazing a new path of individuality within metalcore.

SYLAR became road dogs in the process, winning over crowds on lengthy runs with BeartoothAtillaIce Nine KillsInsane Clown PosseIssuesMemphis May Fire, and the Vans Warped Tour, as well as stops at major festivals like Welcome to Rockville, Carolina Rebellion, Northern Invasion, Rock on the Range, and the UK’s Slam Dunk Festival.

BLACK LABEL SOCIETY to release Sonic Brew - 20th Anniversary Blend 5.99 - 5.19 LP

Entertainment One (eOne) has licensed the complete back catalog of BLACK LABEL SOCIETY (BLS), the hard rock group led by American guitar icon Zakk Wylde. In addition to the band's last three albums which were released on eOne, the company has licensed the following titles: Sonic Brew, Stronger Than Death, 1919 Eternal, The Blessed Hellride, Hangover Music Vol. VI, Mafia, and Shot to Hell. Fans can expect these titles in never-before-released formats over the next few years.

eOne’s Scott Givens, SVP, Rock, Music, says, “I’m delighted to expand our partnership with Zakk and Black Label Society to now include all his amazing earlier work."

BLACK LABEL SOCIETY have also announced the release of a re-imagined version of the band’s iconic 1999 debut LP, Sonic Brew, on 17th May 2019 titled Sonic Brew - 20th Anniversary Blend 5.99 - 5.19, original formula with enhanced flavour. This coincides with their "20 Years of Sonic Brewtality Tour," a brand-new batch of 2019 North American tour dates in conjunction with the release.

“The original recording back in 1997 was mastered with high volume, alcohol, and dance," says Wylde from his home studio. “We went in and worked off the existing performances and focused on the high volume and dance while replacing the booze with Viagra and anabolic steroids.”

The new, revitalised version will feature two new bonus tracks, a full band/piano version of 'Spoke in the Wheel' and an acoustic version of 'Black Pearl.' Wylde continues, “I wanted to re-blend and re-choreograph this release to be the most brewtal and dance-tactic album since Gloria Gaynor’s ‘I Will Survive” dominated the dance floor at Studio 54!”

The band will play two shows in each market - the first night will feature Sonic Brew played in its entirety, while the second night will see the band play a set of greatest hits. Support will come from Conan and The Atomic Bitchwax. Black Label Society will also participate in U.S. festivals Sonic Temple, Epicenter, and Welcome to Rockville on this run. This follows Zakk Wylde's run with Ozzy Osborne in the UK / Europe this February.

Sonic Brew was initially released in Japan on October 28, 1998, and contained 13 tracks and a free Zakk Wylde guitar pick. The album was subsequently released in North America on May 4, 1999, with three bonus tracks including a cover of Ozzy Osbourne’s “No More Tears,” recorded with bassist Mike Inez of Alice in Chains.

Last year BLACK LABEL SOCIETY soared into the charts with their album Grimmest Hits, which landed at #4 on the Billboard Current Charts, the highest-charting LP since 2009's Order Of The Back. Grimmest Hits also reached #1 on the Billboard Hard Music and Independent Charts, and #2 on the Rock Chart.

Wylde, is now reunited on stage with Ozzy Osbourne, whom he refers to as “the boss,” after an eight-year break. Wylde will kick off the U.K portion of the "No More Tours 2" tour tomorrow night in Dublin, Ireland at 3Arena. Tickets are on sale now.

One part invading horde and all parts traveling carnival party, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY traverses the world powered by caffeine and cacophony. BLS engages and inspires audiences everywhere they go, on every radio dial they burn, inviting all comers to join in and participate in their brotherhood and sisterhood of hard rock and vigor.

Now with ten BLS studio albums deep, with solo records, Ozzy shows, and Zakk Sabbath tours all kicking ass simultaneously, Zakk Wylde rides ever forward, fist held high.

BORDERS sign to Long Branch Records
64108026-c307-467a-9320-96ea946e4e3f.jpg

Long Branch Records is proud to welcome UK metallers BORDERS to their roster. The quartet will release their single '731' on 8th February and follow with their debut full-length later this year.

Hailing from Lincoln, UK, BORDERS are pushing to lead in a new era of heavy music, seamlessly blending genres and styles to forge a crushing yet melodic and unique experience. Since joining forces with new vocalist Jordan 'JJ' Olifent in 2016, BORDERS have been working hard impressing crowds across the UK and Europe with their energetic, powerful live performance. From playing sold-out hometown shows, to supporting Skindred and Whitechapel and appearing at UK Tech-Fest, BORDERS consistently electrify crowds as unchained force Olifent leads the indomitable machine. Lunging from the crowd to the mic and leaving no spot unclaimed, he bends the crowd to his will with gang chants, mosh pits and room splits. While performing alongside Martyr Defiled on their UK/EU farewell tour, Metal Hammer said of their live show: "[Borders are] boasting an energised stage presence and an armada of head-bang-inducing grooves."

Speaking out on modern issues of healthcare, austerity and corruption, the band's Diagnosed EP was released in 2017. It received glowing reviews from Metal Hammer and more, as well as gaining regular radio play on Kerrang’s Fresh Blood, where Alex Baker hailed BORDERS as "behemoths of tomorrow." The songwriting, catchiness, technical prowess and sheer brutality of the record were standout points for critics. The EP theme hit home for Olifent as his lyrical content reflected his own mother’s experiences with cancer and the healthcare system. After she beat the disease with only natural remedies and lifestyle changes, Olifent seeks to pose questions on trust in the healthcare system and the corporate greed that drives pharmaceutical companies to put profits before people.

After giving the world a taste of their potential, BORDERS are ready to unveil their debut album in 2019.

BORDERS are:

Jordan Olifent - Vocals
Gavin Burton - Guitars
Tom Britton - Bass
Daniel Hodson - Drums

CONTINUUM premiere lyric video via Decibel and launch album pre-orders

Californian tech-death giants CONTINUUM have premiered a Scott Ruud produced lyric video for their song 'Theorem'. The pummelling technical track, which Decibel called "crushingly heavy and executed with machinelike precision", is taken from the group's highly anticipated new album Designed Obsolescence set for release on February 22nd via Unique Leader Records.

Vocalist Riley McShane commented, "The album title Designed Obsolescence comes from the term "planned obsolescence" which refers to a policy of planning or designing a product with an artificially limited useful life, so it will become obsolete (that is, unfashionable or no longer functional) after a certain period of time. That idea is, in the tradition of our debut album The Hypothesis, applied to a science-fiction background in which humans are commingled with machine elements and designed to live, function, and then die out accordingly. This doubles as an analogy for modern civilization in which people are born, grow up, work, retire and die according to what is deemed to be normal and expected of them, often without question or opposition. It's an age-old storytelling device used to persuade people to break out of the scheduled and mundane and view the world in a less bleak perspective, hopefully in our sophomore release we can do the same."

Designed Obsolescence was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Zack Ohren at Castle Ultimate Studios and features nine violent, incredibly technical, and endlessly engaging tracks which showcase how the group, which features current and former members of Animosity, Deeds of Flesh, Decrepit Birth, Allegaeon, possess an otherworldly command of the genre. Drums were recorded by new member Ron Casey (Inanimate Existence, ex-Brain Drill, ex-Rings of Saturn) whose surgically precise playing is the perfect complement to band's technical prowess. Artwork was created by the incredible Par Olofsson.

Designed Obsolescence track-listing:

1. Theorem
2. Release from flesh and blood
3. A History Denied
4. Designed Obsolescence
5. All Manner Of Decay
6. Autonomic
7. Into The Void
8. Remnants Of Ascension
9. Repeating Actions
