“...a layered, intricate, downright beautiful progressive-rock opus…” -- Kerrang!
US progressive sludge metal titans LORD DYING have unveiled their stunning new video for 'Nearing The End Of The Curling Worm.'
Check out 'Nearing The End Of The Curling Worm' here: https://youtu.be/co2eYmlH6Cc
The track is taken from the band’s Mysterium Tremendum full-length, released late last month via Entertainment One (eOne).
Filmed by Nesto [www.nesto.co], the consuming, near-six-minute clip fuses performance footage with kaleidoscopic, often unsettling dreamscape imagery perfectly capturing the track’s monolithic heaviness both in sound and theme.
LORD DYING’s Mysterium Tremendum was recorded at Los Angeles’ West Valley Recording Studios in August of 2018 with producer Mike Plotnikoff (Fear Factory, In Flames), mastered by Howie Weinberg (Slayer, Nirvana, Pantera, Red Hot Chili Peppers), and boasts the arresting planetary landscape-inspired cover art of Steve R. Dodd. A colossal, riff-heavy concept album borne out of personal sorrow, Mysterium Tremendum delivers eleven heaving tracks that examine death and what may or may not lie beyond.
Stream Mysterium Tremendum in its entirety here: https://youtu.be/-SxzKLXKE2g
Mysterium Tremendum is available on CD, 2xLP, and digital formats. For ordering options go to smarturl.it/LordDyingMT.
LORD DYING will kick off a North American headline tour in support of Mysterium Tremendumon 8th May in Seattle, Washington. The journey will wind its way through more than two dozen cities, concluding on June 8th in the band’s home city of Portland, Oregon. Support will be provided by psychedelic doom duo Year Of The Cobra.

Welsh rock band JUNIOR are proud to announce their highly-anticipated debut full-length, Beautiful Life, to be released 2nd August.
The band have also streamed their first single from the record, 'Playing The Part'.
Stream link: https://lnk.to/Junior-BeautifulLife
And watch the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=250HwWZV5Ss
Pre-order the album: https://musicofjunior.bigcartel.com/
In the band's own words, 'Playing The Part' is "a reminder to always be yourself, to feel comfortable in your own skin, and to not worry what other people think of you. Life’s beautiful so let’s celebrate it... This song is about being a pair of open arms to a person who doesn’t feel like they belong; to show them it’s ok to be yourself and they should celebrate their individuality."
The theme of positivity and self-expression underpins JUNIOR's first album and is key to the band's own identity. The band's drummer Si Martin is known for running mental health non-profit Heads Above The Waves, which raises awareness of depression and self-harm in young people.
As the band comment: “The theme of Beautiful Life is about being happy with being yourself and finding beauty in the little things. This is our debut album, and we really wanted to push the boat out in terms of musical ideas and recording. This album is the result of two years of songwriting, recorded across three studios, involving pianos, kids choirs, seven string guitars and all sorts of things that you wouldn’t hear on your average ‘pop punk’ album. In fact, we’ve always strived to be more than just a “pop punk band” and this album is gonna be the thing that cements that in everyone’s minds. We’re super proud of this record and we can’t wait for you to hear it. And for this to be the thing that finally gets us to headline Wembley.”
Beyond this, JUNIOR's vocalist/bassist is well-known WWE wrestler Mark Andrews who performs weekly on NXT, 205 Live and NXT UK to an audience of millions. Guitarist and co-vocalist Matt Attard writes theme tunes for wrestlers, balancing his time against JUNIOR's increasingly busy schedule.
The band's vital message does not detract from the fact that JUNIOR are, above all else, a fun band. The highly versatile and impressively mature debut brings to mind elements of Blink-182, Biffy Clyro, and Jimmy Eat World, breaking beyond anthemic pop-punk tropes to create a highly irresistible first offering to all fans of modern rock.
In their short history, JUNIOR have already played Download Festival, toured Canada, headlined London's The Dome and received significant support from Rock Sound, Kerrang!, Alt Press and many more.
With plenty of exciting updates to come the future will belong to JUNIOR.

UPON A BURNING BODY return with a vicious new slab of brutality, Southern Hostility, which is out June 7th on Seek and Strike.
The album’s first single, 'King of Diamonds', is an absolute face-melter and its official music video, directed by Scott Hansen (Motionless In White, Sevendust), can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/SQcN4tYJfjI
The band will do a series of US headline record release shows in June and will announce more tour dates soon.
Ruben (guitars) states: “We simply felt it was time for a change. This new album is definitely a huge statement for us. It was time to reinvent ourselves and get back to our roots - pure heavy fucking metal! The energy of this album takes us back to our first two, but with much more maturity.
"We worked for two months with Christopher Mora (producer) and our younger brother, Thomas Alvarez (co-producer). They are both amazing songwriters and were able to help us create fresh and infectious ideas. The four of us worked together to create a fresh, raw and energetic sound. We took influences from some of the greatest metal bands of all-time (Pantera, Metallica, etc.), in order to fill a void that many people are craving and need. Once we finished tracking and putting the final touches we realized we created an album that would change everything for us. This is what everyone has been waiting for: no gimmicks and just straight in your face metal!”

JONESTOWN formed in 2014 in Brighton, on the south coast of the UK.
Winning the Metal To The Masses 2014 South East division helped propel the band into the studio and self-finance their debut Aokigahara, which was released via Siege Music.
The release of Aokigahara resulted in a swathe of media attention, with Metal Hammer magazine touting them as the band to 'transcend the swarm of killer UK debuts', describing the album as 'Gojira and Meshuggah brawling in a dinosaur paddock' and 'ballsy, catchy metal that will have fans of everyone from Tesseract to Slipknot grinning ear-to ear and hurtling to the nearest pit'.

BLACK COAST have released a video for their latest single 'Diablo', taken from their Ill Minds Vol 2 EP - out now via Primordial Records. The single precedes the band's two shows with Death Blooms, which take place next week.
Watch 'Diablo' here: https://youtu.be/Du-3w6Oze3U
Vocalist Charlie Hewitt says of the track:
"Diablo is about the bad tendencies that we all have, being aware of them but not necessarily making the right choices even though its staring you right in the face. I talk about these decisions and how easy it is to let yourself be controlled by them, and how these actions can lead you down the wrong path."
BLACK COAST have tours with Death Blooms and BAILER confirmed, as well as one off shows withDaybreaker and Raging Speedhorn.
See them live at one of the following dates:

A ferocious and relentless assault, Ill Minds Vol 2 is BLACK COAST carving a sound that is both melodic and intense in equal measures. While citing influences from Stray From The Path and Counterparts, the five-piece form their own style and push the boundaries of metallic hardcore. Charlie Hewitt’s fiercely spat vocals convey a raw passion, and when combined with his bandmates’ striking skill-set, Ill Minds Vol 2 is an exhilarating and captivating listen.
Formed in January of 2016, BLACK COAST wasted no time in making their voice heard within an over-saturated UK metal scene. With the release of their debut EP Crows Of The North and a plethora of tours that took them to every corner of the country, BLACK COAST have made a name for themselves as one of the most hardworking and exciting bands to emerge in the last few years.

Danish melodic metalcore band IVY CROWN have signed a worldwide deal with Long Branch Records. To celebrate, the quartet will release new single 'Run' tomorrow (3rd May), a taste of their debut full-length Echo which is due for release later this year.
Hailing from the cold streets of Copenhagen, Denmark, IVY CROWN deliver captivating vocals, tight compositions and a heavy sound, geared up to take on the world.
The band has risen from the ashes of Taras, a well-known Danish punk rock band who played arena shows and had their own episode on Danish national television, DR.
IVY CROWN released their single 'Lonesome and Cold' in February 2019, which now has more than 190,000 streams, ahead of their debut full-length which will be released later this year through Long Branch Records. Echo is a captivating record, exploring themes of breaking free from poisonous relationships and standing up for yourself, but also about growing with every defeat you encounter.
The album was recorded and produced by Chris Kreutzfeldt (Cabal), with assisting vocal production from Mirza Radonjica-Bang (Siamese). The album also has guest features from Kadeem France (Loathe), Kim Song Sternkopf (MØL) and Jesper Gün (Ghost Iris).

Australian bass-heavy instrumental trio THE OMNIFIC have released their brand new video for 'Moonstruck' and announced their first UK / Euro tour.
Check out 'Moonstruck' here: https://youtu.be/kB1zB5lVXio
'Moonstruck' is taken from their upcoming third EP The Mind's Eye, which is set for release on 10th May.
Bassists Toby Fack and Matt Peterson-Stewart give some insight into 'Moonstruck':
"'Moonstruck' is the love ballad of the The Mind’s Eye" says Toby. "When arranging this song we made an effort to keep it simple and bare in terms of orchestration, keeping true to the sound of two basses. Half of the song is simply just that." Matt continues "Initially, ‘Moonstruck’ was a guitar orientated piece I had written around 4 years back, with no intentions of recording or releasing. But when we adapted the parts a few years later to fit the 2 basses, the song pieced itself together in a manner we are very happy with."
THE OMNIFIC will be supporting instru-prog pioneers Intervals and Situ Aye on their European tour this June.
Dates:
4 June - Pusetervik, Gothenburg, Sweden
5 June - Kagelbanan, Stockholm, Sweden
7 June - High Voltage, Copenhagen, Denmark
8 June - HeadCRASH, Hamburg, Germany
9 June - Zoom, Frankfurt, Germany
11 June - Luxor, Cologne, Germany
12 June - Mergener Hof, Trier, Germany
14 June - The Haunt, Brighton, UK
17 June - Backstage, Paris, France
18 June - Rock N Eat, Lyon, France
19 June - Bóveda, Barcelona, Spain
20 June - Caracol, Madrid, Spain
21 June - Connexion, Toulouse, France
22 June - Antirouille, Montpellier, France
THE OMNIFIC are a young trio of two bassists and a drummer offering progressive instrumental rock. They have attracted immense interest due to their unique sound, and have already shared a stage with the likes of Ne Obliviscaris, COG, Osaka Punch, as well as making an appearance at this year's UK Tech Fest as part of their UK summer tour.
'For the last 18 months we’ve been working on our 3rd EP ‘The Mind’s Eye’ - taking time to develop the songs in ways we hadn't explored in previous releases. With an array of people adding their touch to the EP, we can confidently say that The Mind's Eye is our strongest release to date'. The Mind's Eye varies in themes throughout, from dark and heavy to uplifting ballads, all being portrayed without the use of vocals. Forrester Savell added his touch to the mixing, mastering and synth programming of the record.
THE OMNIFIC released their first EP Sonorous in 2016 which saw them become one of the most talked about progressive bands in Australia. With 3rd EP The Mind's Eye they are ready to take their unique sound to the global stage.
THE OMNIFIC are:
Matt Fack - Bass
Toby Peterson-Stewart - Bass
Jerome Lematua - Drums
