US metal phenoms TETRARCH have revealed the first single and video, 'I’m Not Right,' from their upcoming sophomore album, Unstable, scheduled for an autumn release.
'I’m Not Right' premiered yesterday on Sirius/XM’s Liquid Metal and is now available via all digital platforms at https://tetrarch.ffm.to/imnotright.
Watch the video here: https://youtu.be/YGbXuxGh1Dk
'I’m Not Right' was the first song the band wrote for Unstable. “The intro riff for it came very naturally to us and kicked off the writing process,” says guitarist Diamond Rowe. “It was heavy and pissed off sounding, which was super cool and really set the tone for the songs that followed.”
Lyrically, 'I’m Not Right' describes a moment when a person looks in the mirror and does not like what is looking back. Instead of dwelling on negativity, 'I’m Not Right' is about seeking the drive to change a person’s situation and become the best version of oneself.
“We are a band that believes in embracing flaws and being who you are,” says Rowe. “But sometimes there’s a journey to get to that point, and that’s what this song really encompasses. It is normal to feel a bit off sometimes, and it’s okay to talk about it. Sometimes you just don't like something about yourself but how you go about changing that is what’s really important."
The video for 'I’m Not Right' similarly follows the story of a teenage girl who is bullied by classmates, intermingled with energetic TETRARCH performance footage.
“We take a lot of pride in our performance and the energy that we put off live, so we knew we wanted there to be a performance aspect, but we also wanted to tell a bit of a story,” Rowe says. “Director Scott Hansen is always really cool to work with and open to any ideas that we may have, so that the video can match our vision. We're pretty stoked with how it came out.”
Produced by Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation, Allegeon, Khemmis) and TETRARCH, Unstable amplifies the band’s tried-and-true blend of intense heavy riffage and driving drums with the dark vibes and haunting choruses of hooky modern hard rock. TETRARCH’s influences are evident but never replicated, as they stay true to their own unique sound that will appeal to any heavy music fan.
TETRARCH burst onto the scene in 2017 with the release of their full-length album, Freak, produced by Dave Otero. The album immediately reached strong positions on several iTunes charts – debuting within the Top 200 chart, at #3 on the metal charts and #17 on the rock charts. Their lead single, 'Freak,' also garnered huge response from Sirius/XM’s Octane, and hit Top 50 on the Active Rock charts.
Freak earned the band support from Guitar World Magazine, Sirius XM Radio, Guitar Player Magazine, Alternative Press, Revolver Magazine and several others. Lead guitarist Diamond Rowe is also the first female African-American metal guitarist to be featured by the major rock press.
The band toured incessantly following the release of the album, including headlining gigs, slots on major tours and appearances at some of North America’s largest music festivals.
Having conquered their homeland TETRARCH are now ready to take on the world with the release of Unstable.

German dark indie prog three-piece KOJ share their new single / video 'Pamela', the fourth single from the band's Long Branch Records label debut album Home coming 21st August.
Watch 'Pamela' here: https://youtu.be/2Lt7llvd0CY
'Pamela' is heavily influenced by the aesthetic of movies like Drive or Blade Runner and has that very smooth vibe, which makes it the perfect track for late-night driving. The song talks about the contradictions that we find ourselves in as humans. We try to fix what's not perfect: put on that make-up, try to fit the mold, manufacture a picture of ourselves designed for the perception of others. However, there is that feeling that all of these outward factors are irrelevant because they are not who we are. "I don’t feel right here in the light, ‘cause I do belong here with the night", essentially wants to say that you are not made up by all the shiny things on the outside, but more importantly by all the little things that we try to keep in the dark too often.
Stream 'Pamela' here: https://koj.lnk.to/home
KOJ comments: "'Pamela' is named, yet again, after a famous actress. What started out as an inside joke actually made a lot of sense when looking at the theme of the song and so 'Pamela' was born. The way in which society portrayed, or to this date portrays, women in TV and film or in society in general was and still is at times highly sexualised and objectifying. Women are supposed to be pretty, desirable or of a certain body type. We all play many different roles in our lives. We pretend to be someone, that we really aren’t or don’t want to be anymore. The song wants to encourage each and every one of us to be braver in showing ourselves in a way that feels authentic to us, even if it's not what others expect of us.
"Songwriting for 'Pamela' was initiated by listening to old jam material on our hard drive together with our producer and engineer Beray Habip. We got hooked on a synth harmonisation on one of the jams and made this the foundation of 'Pamela'."
German indie-prog band KOJ share a strong common musical vision in addition to their roots as a family. As a closely interwoven trio they create dark, emotional soundscapes that captivate the listener. As children of the 90s they love the rock music of that time, which is reflected in the raw emotionality of their songs. The band wrap their musical essence in minimalistic and fine sound garments, which is reminiscent of triphop in some places, letting feelings lead the listener.
The band shows itself sometimes unbending, sometimes fragile, sometimes self-confident, they don't gloss over their songs which are raw and to the point. In countless songwriting and recording sessions they have worked on their sound world and created their musical home together with engineer and producer Beray Habip. An intimate and personal image of the life of three people intertwined has been created in the process. KOJ want to understand where they come from, where they are going and how they can exist in this world.

Anthemic UK alt-rockers VERIDIAN have released their new video for smash single 'Easier', streaming now.
Watch 'Easier' here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUEJYeaUpIQ
Stream: https://ampl.ink/ZvA9D
In the face of COVID-19, VERIDIAN feel this is the perfect time to release the video for 'Easier'. The lyrics, “it’s not gonna get easier but/you make me feel a little better”, scream about the community spirit that we all need during these times, with friends and family distanced for so long.
VERIDIAN comment: 'Easier' was a dream of a song to write. Some songs take months or even years to become their final version. The writing process of 'Easier' just flowed. Simon and Robbie originally started with synth chords and the rest of the song was written in Robbie's kitchen within a day. The song became a perfect fit for our EP, 'NoVella'.
The essence that we're all finding each day a little harder is akin to the feelings that the majority of us have gone through fitting into a brand new lifestyle.
VERIDIAN had planned for the video to be released in between their debut tour of Canada with Roseview at the end of April, and before their UK run with Courage My Love in May. The video was shot in a much colder January - during low tide the band loaded all of their equipment onto the tower, around half a mile out to sea. After pulling all of the equipment up on ropes to the roof, they had to wait for the tide to come back in before commencing shooting. The band chose to work again with director Simon ‘Aukes’ Stolland, who was recently Director of Photography for feature film Blue Story.
VERIDIAN signed to Revival Recordings and released their second EP, NoVella, in January 2020, including the single 'Easier'.

Desert groove rockers PATRÓN have released a studio session video for the track 'Who Do You Dance For', featuring Nick Oliveri on bass, Joey Castillo on drums, Aurélien Barbolosi on guitar, Lo Patrón on vocals & electronics, and also producer Alain Johannes on guitar.
Watch the studio session video for 'Who Do You Dance For' here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvOl7SaHLT8
'Who Do You Dance For' is the second single taken from their debut self-titled album, Patrón, set for release via Klonosphere on 29th May 2020.
PATRÓN is a new project fronted by Lo (aka Patrón) frontman of the band Loading Data. The self-titled debut album was produced by Alain Johannes (Queens of the Stone Age, Eleven, Them Crooked Vultures, Chris Cornell Band) and also happens to be the last album ever recorded in his legendary studio 11AD, in Los Angeles.
Lo had some well known friends record the album with him: Joey Castillo (Danzig, Queens of the Stone Age, The Bronx), Barrett Martin (Mad Season, Screaming Trees, Tuatara), Nick Oliveri (Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age, Mondo Generator), Aurélien Barbolosi (Aston Villa) and Monique St Walker (Blackbird Days).
PATRÓN is a melting pot of influences, a new entity, a sort of Frankenstein creature, borrowing as much from stoner rock, 50s rock n roll, the Rat Pack as from 80s pop. It's sexy, it’s groovy, it’s loud and heavy. Heady melodies that will stick to your skin like a thirsty alcoholic tick.
PATRÓN are:
Lo aka Patrón : Lead Vocal / Guitar / Keyboard
Joey Castillo : Drums
Nick Oliveri : Bass
Aurélien Barbolosi : Guitars
Alain Johannes : Bass, Guitar, Keyboard, Vocal
Barrett Martin : Drums
Monique St Walker : Vocals
Aurelia : Vocals

Original metalcore pioneers MISERY SIGNALS return with their brand new album Ultraviolet, due for release on 7th August 2020 via Basick Records. The forthcoming record marks their first full-length release in seven years, and first with founding vocalist Jesse Zaraska since their 2004 debut, Of Malice and the Magnum Heart.
MISERY SIGNALS have also revealed a video for first single 'The Tempest', an in-your-face statement of intent that's powerful and hook-laden in equal measure.
Check out the video for 'The Tempest' here: https://youtu.be/z8nGljoS_cY
Commenting on the new track, lead guitarist Ryan Morgan states, "'The Tempest' feels like a concentrated dose of MISERY SIGNALS. I love that it crashes through with all this energy, with very little indulging. That type of songwriting economy was in my mind across this whole album. It's interesting to hear a little bit of restraint work to actually make everything bigger."

The most effective, connective and inspired creative expression often comes from those who've abandoned all aspirations beyond the art for the art's sake. At a time when the vast majority of the so-called “scene” is obsessed with careerist goals, popularity and time-tested formulas, MISERY SIGNALS have reemerged from self-imposed hibernation to once again remake the rules and reassert the inherent power of true passion. Over fifteen years since their initial formation, the Midwestern musical collective remains driven by determination, resilience and the urgent need to share their work with their enduringly diehard supporters.
MISERY SIGNALS' 2014 reunion tour, celebrating the ten year anniversary of their debut album Of Malice and the Magnum Heart, sparked a flame among the original members. Despite facing initial challenges, the band ultimately felt healed by the experience of reuniting, and following their Yesterday Is Everything documentary they set to work on their new album. Marking the return of all founding members, Ryan Morgan (guitar), Branden Morgan (drums), Jesse Zaraska (vocals), Stu Ross (guitar) and Kyle Johnson (bass), the band spent the last few years writing and recording one of their finest releases yet and a true return to form, drawing on a resuscitated storm of creativity and camaraderie not witnessed since Of Malice and the Magnum Heart.
"Jesse has this really clear voice, and even in his most vicious screaming the vulnerability gets through first,” says Morgan. “People will hear the record and there won't be any need for decoding the emotional content. 'Sunlifter' was the first song we wrote for the record and it set the tone thematically for the lyrics on the album, which came to be about ambition and striving and all the parts of ourselves that are in contradiction with each other."
Zaraska comments on the lyrical direction of the album, "It is a record that purveys a much greater sense of hope than those that preceded it, and I think that as older individuals this was important from the onset of the process. I tried to create a MISERY SIGNALS record that was lyrically more positive than the previous outings, something that I could get behind as a father. Though there still exists a fair amount of tension and darkness, there shines a great amount more light."
MISERY SIGNALS are the type of group who inspire questions about time signatures and musical gear rather than hairstyles or love lives. Their combination of progressive, technical and atmospheric riffage with melodic prowess, impassioned frenzy and unhinged rock 'n' roll edge helped define part of the New Wave Of American Heavy Metal, a sub-genre that includes the commercially successful likes of All That Remains, Killswitch Engage and Lamb Of God. The transcendent experimentalism of Deftones, the mind-bending pulse of Meshuggah, the power of seminal metalcore masters Shai Hulud, and the adventurously dynamic engagement of “thinking man's metal” band Cave In all exist within the unique blueprint MISERY SIGNALS have pioneered for themselves.
The fact that MISERY SIGNALS have thrived on tours with peers ranging from Between The Buried And Me and The Dillinger Escape Plan to Norma Jean and Emmure speaks volumes as to the band’s singularly broad appeal. Leaders and not followers, innovators and not imitators, MISERY SIGNALS have built a catalogue of stunningly complete sounding albums, including Absent Light (2013), Controller (2008), Mirrors (2006) and Of Malice and the Magnum Heart (2004). MISERY SIGNALS still deliver their boundary pushing music, continuing to fly the flags for authenticity, audience/band communal experience, old-school DIY ethics and impressively unwavering artistic bravery.

French post-hardcore quintet FALL OF MESSIAH are back with their much-awaited fourth LP, Senicarne, released 31st July via Holy Roar Records.
Pre-order on LP/CD/Digital here:
UK https://bit.ly/FOMUK
EU https://bit.ly/FOMEUROPE
US https://bit.ly/FOMUSA
Senicarne is a story of human ties evolving over time, an image of roots and attachments and symbolic representations of nature. Senicarne written backward (enracinés) translates as "rooted" in French; and "seni" "carne" translates as "old flesh" in Latin.
Such a thoughtful, symbolic approach is typical of FALL OF MESSIAH, a group who pair delicate, pathos-evoking melodies with cascading drums and rhythmic hypnotism, reminiscent of early Pianos Become The Teeth, Heaven In Her Arms and Envy.
Track one ('La Republique du Vide' - The Republic of Void) is the band's entry point of observation: in their philosophy, nothing makes sense any more, as everything is futile and arguable by anyone. A sense of detachment and desire for novelty are in constant tension, a striking theme felt throughout the record.
FALL OF MESSIAH's vast melting pot of influences lean into emotive atmospherics whilst never once losing their sharper edges. Large sections of the nine songs on offer bubble and writhe instrumentally - showcasing a deft art of controlled chaos (‘Atlantique’ and ‘The Loneliest Whale in the World’), which only amplify and contrast with the frantically drastic urgency of cuts such as ‘Sequoia’.
FALL OF MESSIAH's vision, distilling the spiritual essence of early emotional post-hardcore into expansive and emotionally ravaging mini-epics, has led to the band performing at ArcTanGent Festival, Dunk Festival, Ieperfest, and alongside Maybeshewill, Pelican, La Dispute, Rolo Tomassi, and more.

All-star modern metal band IMONOLITH have released the latest in their weekly their video series “The Quarantine Sessions,” a playthrough for the track 'Dig' from the recently released debut album, State of Being.
Premiered via Revolver, watch 'Dig' here: https://youtu.be/c2yffDqVKX8
Vocalist Jon Howard comments on song and his editing skills: “WaaaaaSuuuup!? Jon here. As you may know our ‘Quarantine Session’ videos are being released every Monday. What you may not know, is each week I gather videos from the guys, and use my editing skills to create the play through videos myself! I work very hard on these and aim to make them a bit different each time for your viewing pleasure.
"The next quarantine video release is for our song ‘Dig’ from our debut album State of Being. I can’t wait for you guys to see how intense we’ve made this one! ‘Dig’ has a really heavy groove and hits hard, I can’t help but bang my head when this tune comes on! The lyrics can come across pretty harsh, as well. For example, ‘Taste the dirt before you close your eyes.’ Basically, I feel like I’m yelling at someone who is digging their own grave with all the bad choices they’ve made... I am screaming directly into the camera during this video, so it’ll seem like I'm yelling at you? Haha. Whatever it takes to get the vibe across!
"Anyways. It was a really fun video to make and it comes across really intense! ‘Dig’ is a heavy hitter and does not let up. Hope you dig it! Cheers.”

Welsh rock band JUNIOR have released their new video 'Where And When', the first in a new series.
Watch 'Where And When' here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHEzpYmKrlc
Over the next weeks, the band will be releasing a series of covers, including Boston, Thin Lizzy, Death Cab For Cutie, and Alkaline Trio. All covers have been self-produced by Matt Attard of JUNIOR.
Stream or purchase JUNIOR's Beautiful Life here: https://backl.ink/1855490
The theme of positivity and self-expression underpin JUNIOR's first album and are key to the band's own identity. Beyond this, the band's drummer Si Martin is known for running mental health non-profit Heads Above The Waves, which raises awareness of depression and self-harm in young people.
In addition to Si, JUNIOR's vocalist/bassist is well-known WWE wrestler Mark Andrews who performs weekly on NXT, 205 Live and NXT UK to an audience of millions. Guitarist and co-vocalist Matt Attard writes theme tunes for wrestlers - and all band members have been keeping themselves busy in the time of Coronavirus.
Mark created a homemade wrestling event, Matt's written more wrestling themes, and Si continues to run his charity from home.
The trio's vital messages do not detract from the fact that JUNIOR are, above all else, a fun band. The highly versatile and impressively mature debut brings to mind elements of Blink-182, Biffy Clyro, and Jimmy Eat World, breaking beyond anthemic pop-punk tropes to create a highly irresistible first offering to all fans of modern rock.
In their short history, JUNIOR have already played Download Festival, toured Canada, headlined London's The Dome and received significant support from Rock Sound, Kerrang!, Alt Press and many more.
