After successfully building their reputation through asserting their own style on 2018 masterpiece Fantasy, LANDMVRKS return with their upcoming third album, Lost In The Waves, their heaviest and most organic material to date with an uncompromising, distinctive style. This is LANDMVRKS in their purest form.

Lost In The Waves is available as CD, limited vinyl in two different colour variants and a limited special fan box.

LANDMVRKS formed in 2014 in Marseille, France, and are now comprised of Florent Salfati on vocals, Rudy Purkart on bass guitar, Nicolas Exposito and Paul C. Wilson on guitars, with Kévin D’Agostino on drums.

The band spent two years writing and recording material and playing local shows, building their reputation within the French metalcore scene with a series of singles. In May 2016, LANDMVRKS self-released their debut album Hollow, which was produced entirely by Salfati and Exposito. Following the release of Hollow the band ventured on tours throughout Europe, enticing new fans with their modern metalcore style, peppered with hardcore riffs and catchy choruses. The record also landed them slots on big festivals, strengthening their reputation even further.

In 2018 LANDMVRKS signed a record deal with Arising Empire, releasing their second studio album Fantasy. Continuing to build their name with their own fresh take on metalcore, LANDMVRKS went on to travel the world, playing in Japan, embarking on several headline tours and supporting While She Sleeps and Stray From The Path on a UK/European tour.

While they were out on the road LANDMVRKS focused on writing brand new material, which showcases a powerful new direction from the French band, one that is more mature, melodic, and deeper than before.

LANDMVRKS' UK/European tour has been postponed to October/November 2021 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and European restrictions. The date in Nuremberg has been moved to Schweinfurt - tickets will be refunded and cannot be transferred to the new show.

Holding Absence release new single 'In Circles'
Holding Absence 2021.jpg

Exactly one month before the release of The Greatest Mistake Of My Life (16th April 2021 via SharpTone Records), in a week that sees them grace the front cover of Kerrang! Magazine, Holding Absence have released a video for their brand new single, 'In Circles'.

Check out the video for 'In Circles' here: https://youtu.be/MqiasiqEgPY

Frontman Lucas Woodland comments:

"'In Circles' is a really subtly exciting song for our band. Lyrically, it commentates on the mundane and cyclical nature of day to day life... Pointing out just how dangerous it can be to live your life without ambition.

"With such a strong lyrical vision, we made sure that the song and video followed suit, playing out in an almost hypnotic fashion.

"We think this track is really special, and will hopefully be enough to encourage people to reach out of their lives a little bit."

'Afterlife': https://youtu.be/qfe8NvYSPmY

The band comment on the new album:

“This album is about telling stories that are presented through the lens of hindsight, regret and looking back. There are songs that celebrate life when faced with death, and others that speak to the choices we make about how we live our lives. The fear of love, newfound respect for life and the covering up of depression are all subjects that rear their head. The Greatest Mistake Of My Life exercises emotion in many ways, and that was an important thing for us to do, because emotion isn’t rigid – it’s not just love or joy or sadness – it’s a lot of things.”

As December Falls release new single 'Tears'

Following on from the storming success of their self-titled debut album, Nottingham-based rock quartet As December Falls return with new single ‘Tears'. The track is taken from their forthcoming second album Happier, due for self-release on 6th August 2021.

Check out the video for 'Tears' here: https://youtu.be/56I9X1OlMRw

A refreshing combination of pop-punk and straight up rock sensibilities, the latest single from As December Falls is an uplifting anthem for all those who need it. Opening with soft glassy synth and an arpeggiated guitar riff, 'Tears' cautiously builds up to an emphatic first chorus where the sentiment of the track really comes alive, perfectly complimenting the reassuring powerhouse vocals of Bethany Hunter.

Speaking of the track, Hunter explains:

"Tears is about struggling internally and trusting in yourself to overcome it. The song started years ago when I was in a bad place, I was lying in bed crying when I realised that I literally had tears running into my ear. I picked myself up and knew that I needed to help myself and turned the experience into this song.

"The lyric in the middle 8, "God knows that I need saving but I don't want your help, heaven knows I need no saviour cause I can only save myself" really sums up the song."

Formed in 2014, As December Falls are a long way from their beginnings. The band achieved self-sufficiency early on as a matter of survival, after being told they were ‘too this’ and ‘too that’ from the industry gatekeepers, when looking to release their self-titled debut album in 2019 (which has received over four million streams to date). Their DIY attitude and business know-how resulted in the band selling out 90% of shows on their most recent headline tour around the UK, and appearing at Slam Dunk FestivalTramlines FestivalCamden Rocks and more.

Fiercely independent and striving for something more cinematic, more dynamic and more emotional than their previous work, the quartet recorded their highly-anticipated follow up album Happier with John Mitchell (ArchitectsYou Me At SixEnter Shikari) at Outhouse Studios. Gambling on themselves once more, the band took financial matters into their own hands to make their dream come true and secured a bank loan to fund Happier (all of which has been paid off due to an overwhelming amount of pre-orders from their highly dedicated fanbase).

Alongside the lead vocals of Bethany Hunter, As December Falls is composed of Ande (guitar), Timmy (bass) and Luke (drums). Their musical influences of the entire rock cache can be heard throughout Happier; classic rock idolisation of legends such as Jimi Hendrix and Slash, vintage pop-punk admiration of Blink-182Sum 41 and Fall Out Boy, and the emo effects of BasementTurnover and Citizen. Having never been in a band previously, Bethany turned to strong female rock stars for her inspiration. Hours were spent watching videos of Joan Jett and Marmozets to name but a few, studying their body language, attitude, and confidence until she had her unique style all sussed out.

Previously released singles from their upcoming album include 'Afterglow' and 'I Don’t Feel Like Feeling Great'.

US progressive metallers Alustrium sign to Unique Leader, announce album and stream single
unnamed (51).jpg

Progressive death metal quintet Alustrium have announced signing to esteemed death metal label Unique Leader and the release of their new album A Moment To Silence, out 18th June. The band have also unveiled their first single from the record, 'This Hollow Ache'.

Watch the lyric video to 'This Hollow Ache' here: https://youtu.be/BDiuTbBen2Y

Emerging from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Alustrium are introducing the world to their unique form of progressive death metal. With intense, technical riffs and soulful ear-bending solos, Alustrium create a unique blend between melody and fierce brutality that sets them apart from the norm. Following up their 2020 EP Insurmountable, their forthcoming concept record A Monument to Silence further pushes the boundaries of contemporary heavy music.

The band comment: "We’re extremely excited to partner with Unique Leader Records for the release of A Monument to Silence. After flirting with deeper, more conceptual song ideas on our previous full-length, we became really inspired to attempt a full concept record. A Monument to Silence is the culmination of several years exploring that idea. In setting out to make this record, we challenged ourselves to distil the elements which make Alustrium unique, while carefully constructing recurring lyrical and musical themes, to be woven throughout. We're so proud to finally share the fruits of our labor with the world and can't wait to hear where the record's story takes its listeners."

Black/death metallers Wode release single 'Lunar Madness' ahead of new album
1 (preferred by band).jpg

Manchester's black/death metallers Wode have released the blistering new single 'Lunar Madness'. It's the third track taken from their highly anticipated new album Burn In Many Mirrors which is set for release on 2nd April via 20 Buck Spin.

Check out the new single 'Lunar Madness' here: https://youtu.be/yKbGGYEnytM

Add to your Spotify playlists here: https://spoti.fi/3lvI7so

Pre-orders are now available in store here and via Bandcamp here.

Wode shouted into the ether: "The sun abdicates jurisdiction. Enlightenment and industry give way to the wild energies of the night. Sanity cannot suppress the soul’s true purpose. We give you Lunar Madness."

Now ploughing headlong into their second decade of existence on the material plane, Wode’s definitive melding of black metal’s ecstatic desecration, death metal’s sharply attuned sense of violent purpose, and their take on classic anthemic ‘80s metal instills Burn In Many Mirrors with the elements necessary to sear itself into the fervent heart of the faithful.

Featuring cover artwork by Santiago Caruso (Star Gazer), Burn In Many Mirrors was recorded between March and August 2020 by Joe Clayton at NØ Studio, and mastered by Magnus Lindberg (Cult Of Luna).

It comes almost four years after the release of their critically acclaimed album Servants of the Countercosmos by the legendary Avantgarde Music and sees Wode taking that huge step up in scope and sound. With the flashes of heavy and death metal glimpsed on previous albums their multifarious third album contains some of the band’s hardest and heaviest material. Wode are still summoning the wild untamed spirit of black metal’s evil-most progenitors whilst fusing it with their special brand of merciless madness that has earned the band a devastating reputation on tours which have included Wolves in the Throne Room and Winterfylleth

Having recently signed to highly respected US label 20 Buck Spin and after adding guitarist Dan Shaw (from side-project Aggressive Perfector), Wode are stronger and more potent than ever…something Burn in Many Mirrors truly reflects.

Black Orchid Empire release live session video for 'Come In'
Black Orchid Empire Resize .jpg

UK rock trio Black Orchid Empire have released a live session video for 'Come In'. The track is the second single from their upcoming live EP, Live In The Studio, set for release on 16th April 2021 via Long Branch Records.

Check out the video for 'Come In' here: https://youtu.be/R0YfsP4d2LA

Live In The Studio features one song from each of the band's critically acclaimed full-length albums. These ferocious performances showcase Black Orchid Empire's huge sound and machine-like tightness, as the three-piece thrive in their natural environment - the recording and rehearsal space that gave birth to so many of their monstrous riffs.

Guitarist/vocalist Paul Visser comments:

"Playing live in front of an audience is always an incredible experience, but much of our music was created in a more personal and isolated place. Filming three of our favourite songs in the room in which so many of them were written, thrashed out and recorded was an amazing experience which we we can't wait to share!"

Pre-order/pre-save Live In The Studio here: https://orcd.co/boe_liveinthestudio

Black Orchid Empire create huge, memorable rock music that combines heavy-hitting savagery with intense melodic beauty. Their technical, fearlessly complex grooves and gigantic sing-along choruses have already earned them a widespread fanbase.

A ferociously tight live band, Black Orchid Empire have toured Europe and the UK extensively, most recently supporting Skunk Anansie on their sold out 25th anniversary shows, including Brixton Academy. These appearances, as well as previous tours with HED p.e, INME, Black Map and Ravenface, combined with festival slots at Download Festival, Standon Calling, Planet Rockstock, Camden Rocks and Taubertal, have sealed the band's reputation as a force to be reckoned with.

BOUND IN FEAR tackle domestic abuse in new single / short film
unnamed (49).jpg

UK deathcore quintet BOUND IN FEAR have unveiled new single and harrowing short film 'Everblack,' taken from their new EP, Eternal, out now via Unique Leader Records.

Watch 'Everblack' here: https://youtu.be/kIXh81vS3D8

The harrowing animated video tackles the sensitive subject of domestic/child abuse, and is semi-anecdotal of vocalist Ben Mason’s upbringing. As well as raising awareness of the issue, there are phone numbers and contact points for mental health support at the end of the video.

Ben commented "It felt alien making a video that was so personal and honest to me. Seeing it in its final form really tore me up, and made me realise how much the video’s subject still affects my life. I thought I had dealt with it, but in reality it is something I will always have to live with. There are so many others who have suffered in this way and are afraid to talk about it. If this video encourages even one person to reach out and get help, then that means the world to us and is a step in the right direction for society"

Since their formation in 2016, UK quintet BOUND IN FEAR have been creating uncompromisingly heavy music and in a short time have crafted a niche for themselves amongst the ungodly heavy. Their first release Regicide was received incredibly well by the underground scene, selling out of all pressings. The band spent the release cycle playing shows around the United Kingdom and mainland Europe. The accrued reputation the band gained resulted in a record deal with Unique Leader Records.

The next step in BOUND IN FEAR’s catalogue of monstrously heavy music was the 2019 debut full-length The Hand Of Violence. The lyrical content took a very dark and personal route, while the compositions became more structured, intricate, and menacing. The release propelled BOUND IN FEAR into a new echelon of the extreme music scene, seeing their streaming stats increase heavily and CD, vinyl and merch sales beating all expectations.

Now in 2021, BOUND IN FEAR follow up with the Eternal EP, a collection of five songs crafted with detailed soundscapes, a result of increased collaboration within a refreshed line-up, and a hunger for ever more extreme compositions, sounds, and tones. Eternal will stand as a testament to the new direction of BOUND IN FEAR, without leaving behind their previous works. With Eternal, BOUND IN FEAR are ready to show the extreme metal world that they are here to stay, and here to slay.

Vocalist Ben Mason comments “BOUND IN FEAR to me has always been self-explanatory - it's about things that we go through in life that define us as people. The Eternal EP touches on memories that manifest into nightmares, substance abuse, childhood trauma and everything in between that we don't talk about because we feel ashamed.

“In our music we always try to give an honest experience to show people that they are not alone, but to also help them understand that being angry, sad, upset and confused is okay - not everyone can see what happens behind closed doors. The things that we experience may be Eternal, but they can also be beaten.”

Novelists FR release video for new single 'Terrorist'

Novelists FR are back with a video for their brand new single 'Terrorist'. Out now via Out Of Line Music, 'Terrorist' is a direct song that showcases the band's heavier side, weaving electronic elements into their fresh sonic landscape.

Check out the video for 'Terrorist' here: https://youtu.be/GRWvhrD-jLw

Stream/purchase 'Terrorist' here: https://novelistsfr.lnk.to/Terrorist

After a very successful comeback with 'Lost Cause' in November 2020, the quartet are working on their fourth album, set for release in early 2022. By now, Novelists FR should be known to anyone who shows even the slightest interest in metal. Founded in France, the four-piece have been delivering their own take on metal for more than seven years, breaking the dull genre boundaries with a style that can't be pigeonholed into a conventional category. Novelists FR have hit hard with their new series of singles, working with renowned producer Dan Lancaster (Bring me the Horizon, Blink-182, One OK Rock) to impressively prove that bands can develop their sound without throwing their artistic principles overboard.

Novelists FR have left their musical comfort zone to create their alternative and experimental sound, which offers a glimpse of great things to come. Combining different styles, the quartet form an impressive blend of electronic passages, that hint at elements of Bring Me The Horizon, with djenty guitar riffs in the style of Make Them Suffer, layered over cutting-edge clean vocals and brutal gutturals.

The band also welcome Tobias Rische as their new vocalist, after the surprise departure of Matteo Gelsomino. Rische, who previously lent his voice to metalcore band Alazka, brings new shades to Novelists FR and takes the band's familiar contrast of his clean and guttural vocals to a whole new level, evident on 'Terrorist' and previous single 'Lost Cause'. "We had remained true to our old familiar style for three albums now and only polished it up from record to record, when Tobi joined we decided it was time to reinvent ourselves," comments bassist Nicolas Delestrade.

Silvertomb share new video for single 'So True'

US metal act Silvertomb share their new single 'So True', taken from their debut album Edge Of Existence, released 2019 via Long Branch Records / SPV.

Watch the video here: https://youtu.be/FtzP3fNOwlw

Vocalist/guitarist Kenny Hickey comments:

“This song was written in desperation and from the gut at a time when I was at one of my lowest points in my alcohol abuse. It’s a basic purging of every trauma, insecurity and anxiety that led up to that point in my life.

"For the 'So True' video we tried to capture how a negative self image and a lust for power can be turned outward and onto society to become a destructive force."

Silvertomb's debut album Edge Of Existence explores Kenny Hickey’s personal struggles with addiction, love, and suicide, and the death of his singer and frontman Peter Steele in 2010 and subsequent disbandment of Type O Negative.

Edge Of Existence is available here: http://lbr-shop.com/category/silvertomb

Line up:
Kenny Hickey - Guitar, Vocals
Joseph James - Guitar
Johnny Kelly - Drums
Hank Hell - Bass
Aaron Joos - Keyboards, Guitar, Backing Vocals

More info:
https://www.facebook.com/silvertombmusic/

unnamed (48).jpg

The album cover art for Edge Of Existence was conceived by Joe James and Kenny Hickey. The idea was to capture the classic black light, Sci-Fi poster art popular in the 1970s. The central skeletal figure on the front cover was modelled after the famous images of the ascension of Christ, with Hickey posing for the image and the artist Rodrigo Canteras sketching the image of the robed skeleton over his proportions.

Formed in the wake of Type O Negative and Seventh Void, Silvertomb is the latest musical endeavour of Kenny Hickey (Type O Negative, Seventh Void), Johnny Kelly (Type O Negative, Danzig) and Hank Hell (Seventh Void, Inhuman). This time teaming up with New York hardcore veteran Joseph James (Agnostic Front, Inhuman) and Aaron Joos (Awaken The Shadow, Empyreon), the band combine the sounds of Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath to create a bone crushing, mind-blowing sonic journey into the underbelly of human emotion.
