Debut album Disposable Youth out 12th November 2021 via Blood Blast Distribution

“They’re a band that already sound so colossal, they could probably beat Magneto in a fight.”
Alex Baker, Kerrang! Radio Fresh Blood

Irish quartet BAILER have announced their long-awaited debut album Disposable Youth, due for release on 12th November 2021 via Blood Blast Distribution. To celebrate, the metallic hardcore outfit have shared a video for their new single 'Cruel Master', featuring Conjurer's Brady Deeprose.

Vocalist Alex O'Leary comments on the new single:

"'Cruel Master' is about the give and take that comes with addiction. While things like alcohol offer a safe space, an escape from anxiety, something to take the edge off, dependency to these things lead to enslavement. You give yourself to these things and they eventually take everything from you."

Check out previous single 'Gateway Drug' here: https://bfan.link/gatewaydrug

Following on from 2018's self-titled EP (Distroy Records), 2017’s PTSD and 2016’s Shaped By The Landscape, BAILER’s ambitious collection of tracks is about to expand and truly propel their notoriety outside of their native Ireland.

Recorded, mixed, mastered and produced by Lewis Johns at The Ranch Production House in Southampton, Disposable Youth dives into a grim view of the world from a place of manic depression and nihilism. 100% of the material was written in a room together: no writing on computers or demos being shared around virtually. For Disposable Youth, BAILER consciously decided to write every single song in a jam room together, fleshing it all out and creating what felt right in real life. There's nothing wrong or right about any form of creativity, but the results speak for themselves.

Having impressively garnered attention from Metal Hammer, Kerrang!, Metal Injection and Heavy Blog Is Heavy so early into their career, BAILER have proven to be Ireland's most exhilarating heavy band. Now with their debut album on the horizon, the quartet are setting their sights on becoming one of hardcore's most exciting prospects.

BAILER have already a strong reputation on their home ground, playing shows alongside Norma Jean, Sick Of It All, The Black Dahlia Murder, Conjurer, Employed To Serve, Palm Reader, Malevolence, God Mother, Coilguns and more.

2018 and 2019 saw the band start to mark their territory further afield, having successfully toured Russia and the UK extensively in support of their self-titled EP. In 2021, BAILER are eager to get back on international stages to launch the new era of the band. Starting with Bloodstock Festival earlier this month, expect to hear a lot more from BAILER over the coming months.

Matthew Greywolf on Call Of The Wild:

"With Call Of The Wild, the album sounds unmistakably like POWERWOLF and is so much more at the same time. Besides new territory like the Celtic instrumentation in 'Blood for Blood (Faoladh)' or the ballad-like 'Alive or Undead', we have raised all our trademarks to a new level. Until now, we never sounded so powerful and wild - in the truest sense of the word. We are more than happy to be able to share this beast of an album with you all!"

Once again created in cooperation with the honourable producer duo of Jens Bogren and Joost van
den Broek, the masterpiece will open a new chapter in the band's history. The eighth studio album serves both old and newly recruited POWERWOLF devotees with well-known and loved classic trademarks, and will equally surprise and delight them at every stage of this wild 11-track ride with stylistic developments on an unprecedented scale!

The record comes as the follow-up to their 2018 #1-charting and gold-award winning studio album Sacrament Of Sin, and manifests the band's inimitable success story and proves once again that they sit unchallenged on the throne of the genre.

The first music video from the new album for 'Beast Of Gévaudan' has already gained more than 1.7 million views on YouTube. Watch the outstanding video again here: https://youtu.be/po-u-V6GiEk

ABOUT POWERWOLF:

The story of POWERWOLF, beginning in 2004, reads like a true fairytale, but is the result of the most hard-working and entertaining live band on the heavy metal planet. POWERWOLF has not only received plenty of Gold and Platinum awards to date, but numerous releases have entered the official German album charts at the top position of #1. With Blessed & Possessed (2015), POWERWOLF achieved Gold status (in the Czech Republic) for the first time, while its predecessor, Preachers Of The Night (2013), hit the official German album charts at #1, and the incredible DVD, The Metal Mass (2016), came in at #1 of the German DVD-Charts. POWERWOLF's holy mass in the name of heavy metal is unstoppable – their latest magnum opus, The Sacrament of Sin (2018), again entered the album charts at #1. The accompanying, almost completely sold out Wolfsnächte headline tour – in which POWERWOLF headlined large venues with their phenomenal stage performances – became a single major triumph, as well as the numerous summer festival shows in which crowds were thrilled and completely captivated by the wolves and their unique, (un)holy metal mass. With the new studio album, Call Of The Wild, and the Wolfsnächte 2021 tour charging through the largest halls in Europe, 2021 will again be a year completely under the sign of the wolf pack!

Constructs release video for hard-hitting new single 'Binary'
Constructs Band Promo Picture.JPG

'Binary' streaming now

US-based prog metal/djent outfit Constructs release new hard-hitting single 'Binary', a track which follows the band's narrative of overcoming adversity, lineup changes, robberies, and life events in order to rebuild and refine a new sound, image, and future for their music.

Check out the video for 'Binary' here: https://youtu.be/5IK1zyM2uiI

Stream 'Binary' here: https://linktr.ee/constrvcts

The thrilling adventure of ‘Binary’ is detailed and in depth, featuring articulate drums, soulful vocals, angular guitar playing, and intricate bass lines. Bassist Jose Escudero states: "'Binary' was one of the more challengning songs I've had to learn, which is something I always get excited about. It was the type of challenge that helps me become a better musician and I hope that being Constructs’ first song with vocals on it, that everyone gets excited to hear what’s coming next. There’s so much more we have in mind.”

In terms of the vocals and lyrics, the song has considerable significance to the new voice of the band, Erik Jones. "'Binary' means a lot to me, and I know that translates into the overall emotion of the final product. The music has soaring soulful choruses and heavy, impactful verses. This is by far one of my favourite songs that I’ve ever been a part of writing. Lyrically speaking the song touches on themes of anxiety, growing older, and feeling like the world is moving on without you.”

It’s apparent that the Bay Area band have faced many obstacles in the journey towards their current incarnation, as founding guitarist Trayen Burke explains: “A month after releasing our debut Shapes EP (2017), myself and our founding bassist Gordon Leete endured a robbery that was followed by a fire. We lost almost all of our music and production equipment in the events, as well as our home.” Burke continues: “It was the hardest thing I’ve had to go through in my entire life. But the passion and fire for music continued to burn inside of me, and I knew I was determined to keep Constructs moving forward, no matter how long that process may have taken.”

Fast forward to 2021, and Constructs have an entirely new lineup, consisting of Jose Escudero (Bass), Will Hettel (Drums), Trayen Burke (Guitar) and Erik Jones (Vocals). In the turmoil of a global pandemic, recording during COVID-19 wasn’t the only challenge the band faced. They strategised and filmed a music video in Los Angeles for ‘Binary’ in August 2020, at the height of California’s statewide lockdown. This required members flying in from out-of-state, as well as a rental van trek from Northern California to Southern California. The members also carefully crafted the art direction and merchandise for the release, meticulously pouring over every aspect so that the brand authentically represented the band’s ethos.

Listening to the music provides the listener with a full-tilt adrenaline rush, with Constructs enveloping you in a whirlwind of musical proficiency and melodic cadence. One stream of ‘Binary’ reveals that Constructs have not only defined their sound, but leaves room for anticipation of what the band will create next.

Constructs are:

Erik Jones - Vocals
Jose Escudero - Bass
Trayen Burke - Guitar
Will Hettel - Drums

Swedish alternative metal act Aviana releases video for new single 'Rage'
AVIANA promo.jpg

'Rage' out now via Arising Empire

Swedish alternative metal act Aviana has released a video for his new single 'Rage', out now via Arising Empire. 'Rage' follows previous singles 'Oblivion' and 'Retaliation', which marked Aviana's return earlier this year, now led solely by Joel Holmqvist.

Check out the video for 'Rage' here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlPO4ccQZzM

Stream/purchase 'Rage' here: https://Aviana.lnk.to/rage

Holmqvist comments on the new single:

"I started the new Aviana era with a bitter mindset and that shows in the lyrics. I wanted to get all the frustration off my chest. But I started thinking in a different direction when I wrote 'Rage'. I started writing about growth and looking ahead. The lyrics in 'Rage' are about keeping fighting forward and not stopping for anything. Giving up on the old mindset and starting on a different path."

Last year many people experienced dark times and suffered great loss. Joel Holmqvist, vocalist of Swedish metalcore act Aviana, was one of those people. Despite the successful release of their sophomore album Epicenter via Arising Empire in 2019, all his former bandmates declared they were leaving Aviana in March 2020.

However, Holmqvist quickly realised that he was not done with Aviana and decided to continue with the project himself. Throughout the pandemic, he has gathered strength to build something new and special - the next chapter of Aviana.

"I was in a dark place for a long time when my former bandmates decided to leave the band. It was hard! I think this song as a start reflects all those feelings and thoughts that I had to fight during that difficult time," he explains.

Aviana’s new sound is heavier than ever before and offers a taste of what’s to come, Holmqvist assures."I'm building this up with the new Aviana now. There's a new chapter, a new story and a new era coming!" he concludes.

See Aviana supporting Kill The Lights at one of the following dates:

Parisian modern metal five-piece Ashen have announced their signing to Out Of Line Music. Along with the news, the band showcase their ambitions and share their emotional new single 'Outlier'.

Stream / purchase 'Outlier here: https://ashen.lnk.to/Outlier

On the new signing to Out Of Line Music, singer Clem Richard shares: "We definitely weren't expecting to get offered a contract after our first release! We are very grateful for the trust that OOL has put in us and can't wait to keep growing together."

On the new single 'Outlier', guitarist Antoine states: "'Outlier' is a song in which Clem opens up about his youth. At the age of 13, he was hospitalised and treated for ADHD and then diagnosed with bipolar disorder, although there never was anything wrong with him.

"This song is about an abusive drug treatment he was forced to take that was the only way to handle his scholar failure. His drug treatment, combined with his relationship with his family, gave birth to a deep feeling of loneliness. He had become an outlier. After several years, he decided to emancipate himself from these medications that changed his perception of the world and finally wanted to live without depending on anything.

Guitarist Niels continues: "The lyrics and the script of the video emphasise the isolation and stigmatisation he experienced at that time."

Ashen's songwriting on 'Outlier' is exceptional, and their identity lies between exciting modern metal arrangements while keeping Ashen's own personality and the rock-influenced characteristics of their singer. Ashen have high hopes for their future, ready to hit the ground running, and are looking forward to going on their first tour as soon as they get the chance.

Debut LP Escapades released 8th October via Wild Thing Records

Melbourne progressive instrumental trio The Omnific - featuring the unique line-up of two bass players and a drummer - have streamed their new single 'Ne Plus Ultra', from their forthcoming debut record Escapades.

The Australian trio's first LP Escapades will be released 8th October, via Wild Thing Records.

Watch the video here: http://bit.ly/omnificNPU
Stream the song here: https://smarturl.it/theomnific

Pre-order: https://smarturl.it/theomnific

The Omnific state: "With solos & slap, popping & tap, 'Ne Plus Ultra' truly is the ne plus ultra of what The Omnific has defined bass to be. A uniquely collaborative piece between the 3 members, the strengths of each player are on full display. Cascading from chaotic thump riffs to elegant leads, intricate drum fills to technical solos, the chemistry between each member is ever present."

Escapades is the band’s most adventurous work to date, an instrumental mosaic that dances between the edges of progressive rock, djent, funk, nintendocore, and synth-driven electronic soundscapes, an aural experience akin to a journey to an alternate world through a dimension-hopping Tesla.

The album features a guest bassist performance from Clay Gober of Polyphia on the track 'Antecedent', with the record being brought to life by mixing engineer Adam Bentley (Felix Martin, Arch Echo), and mastering from Ermin Hamidovic (Periphery, Devin Townsend Band, Plini).

After releasing three stunning EPs the band have attracted interest and fans from all corners of the globe clocking in over 5 million Spotify streams and 2 million views on their Youtube channel. The Omnific’s accessible style is for all music lovers; from those seeking to be challenged to those who wish to be blanketed by atmosphere, creating an identifiable sound and diverse international fan base. With swirling textures, syncopation, euphoric highs and melancholic lows; The Omnific are truly captivating.

The band have established working relationships with reputable companies Darkglass Electronics, Neural DSP and Dingwall Guitars, seeing them represent the brands with performances at the Melbourne Guitar Show, bringing attention amongst the ‘Gear-Nerd’ community. Coupled with their online play-through, gear demo and music videos, the band’s reach is beyond what many would expect from this impressive Melbourne trio so early in their career.

They are also no stranger to the live circuit with a stack of domestic and international touring under their belt, having toured with Between the Buried and Me (Australian Tour) Cog (Sold Out Australian Tour), Intervals & Sithu Aye (European Tour), several of their own headline Australian tours as well as supporting Ne Obliviscaris, Galactic Empire, Circles and others.

Modern metal frontrunners Tetrarch reveal blistering new single / video 'Stitch Me Up'

Unstable out now via Napalm Records

In the wake of their ground breaking second full-length release, Unstable, US breakout metal stars Tetrarch release new single 'Stitch Me Up'.

Watch the music video to 'Stitch Me Up' here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FqBgFqZJQQ

'Stitch Me Up' is a truly massive, spine-tingling endeavour showcasing the camaraderie that weaves its way through metal culture and courses through the veins of Tetrarch. It follows their five huge singles 'I'm Not Right', 'You Never Listen', 'Negative Noise' and 'Addicted', rounding out a dynamic group of hits.

Frontman and guitarist Josh Fore says: "Shooting the video for 'Stitch Me Up' was super fun and we are honestly thrilled with how it came out. The way the storyline was shot has such a cinematic feel to it and the finished product just looks awesome.

"The theme of this video is about being an outcast in your everyday life. You can sometimes feel like a complete freak when it seems like no one else sees things the same way that you do or has common interests, but finally meeting up with people that are like you can make you feel safe and whole. It reminds me a lot of all of us in the heavy music community and how we may be looked at in strange ways, but when we’re all together we are just one big happy family sharing our love of music.”

The album is available now in several exciting formats, here: https://napalmrecords.com/tetrarch

"Tetrarch’s Unstable is the nu metal album 2021 needs" - Metal Hammer (UK)

“Tetrarch are about to have their breakout moment.” - Revolver (USA)

"The dynamic is consistently high, the hooks are spot on. The material is without exception sleekly composed and effectively set in scene..."
- Metal Hammer (DE)

Tetrarch - Stitch Me Up

Produced by the band and Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation, Allegaeon, Khemmis), Tetrarch's new album, Unstable, dropped on April 30th via Napalm Records to major critical acclaim. Loudwire stated, “Tetrarch are not messing around, bringing the heavy with full force…”, while Alternative Press said, “The meteoric rise of nu metal’s brightest new stars Tetrarch has been a compelling show for the scene around them”. Upon release, Tetrarch's debut single, 'I’m Not Right' cracked the Mediabase Active Rock Top 30 and has garnered over six million combined cross-platform streams to date. Follow up single 'You Never Listen' received support from SiriusXM, HardDrive, Full Metal Jackie and many more of the country's leading active rock outlets, while one of their most recent singles, 'Negative Noise', has reached nearly one million views on YouTube and counting.

Fierce individuality and a fearless embrace of the outsider are at the heart of Tetrarch. The band’s tireless hard work and relentless determination has established them as one of the top up-and-coming bands in heavy music, catching the attention of major media including Pollstar (cover mention), Billboard, Revolver, Alternative Press, Guitar World, Guitar Player, Premier Guitar, Kerrang! and Metal Hammer, many in which lead guitarist Diamond Rowe was the first African American female lead guitarist from the heavy metal genre to be featured. Tetrarch have been featured on Spotify playlists such as Kickass Metal, Rock Hard, New Blood (cover featured) and Metal Tracks and have also seen stellar support from Apple Music and their users, appearing on several additional playlists. Having appeared on major festivals such as Epicenter and Exit 111, Tetrarch are charging back into the major touring scene with renewed persistence and the mighty nonconformist’s spirit that has driven them since day one.

Since announcing the album, the band has graced numerous renowned international magazine covers, sold out countless tour dates and their first two new singles, 'Vortex' and 'Mediator' both cracked the multi-million stream mark in no time.

With their new single, 'Wallflower', Jinjer prove once again that they can't be pigeonholed, by offering a surprisingly tranquil dive into their multi-faceted sound. The titletrack not only underlines highly talented vocalist Tatiana Shmayluk's clean and equally bold vocal power, but also supports her convincing, forceful growls and adds a persuasive character of wrath, overwhelming heaviness and pure abrasiveness. The accompanying high-quality music video displays the band's cinematic and audiovisual strength and their ability for impressive metaphors, immediately causing goosebumps at the same time: socio-critical and precise, Jinjer have reached a new level – lyrically and musically.

Jinjer state: “As the director Basil Pereverzev told us "Never give up and act in due course with the forces of the reality you have chosen for yourself" … 'Wallflower' is one of a kind. This is a song we have lived through time and time again. Every single note, every percussion hit, every word Tatiana sings is well-thought through and shines. And the story which rolls out in the video is the best compliment to this song. Definitely the most multilayered work we have delivered sonically and visually. We hope that our fans can also relate the video and take something meaningful from it as well.”

Through their relentless hard work, non-stop international touring and critically acclaimed chart-topping releases gaining them over 250 million cross-platform streams/viewsJinjer are inarguably one of modern metal's hottest and most exciting bands today. The band have become synonymous with doing things their own way and breaking every rule in the heavy metal handbook, which is loudly evident on their highly anticipated fourth studio album and the successor to the ground-breaking Macro.

Bassist Eugene Abdukhanov comments: “Growing creatively has always been a major goal for us. The day Jinjer stops reaching for new musical horizons - will be our last day as a band. We could have churned out what our peers expected us to do or produce 'Pisces' clones without end but we’ve never done that and we never will. Instead, we wrote an album whose level of emotions range from the fiercest aggression we’ve ever had, to the most intricate melodies and melancholic vibes you could ever get from our music. We decided to rip apart all possible stylistic boundaries without regard to financial success or competing with our previous albums. Wallflowers is a different kind of album musically and visually. It’s about our identity as a band, as individuals and a clear statement that we are different from most artists … and that it is OK to do your own thing.”

Already regarded as one of the most anticipated metal albums of the year, with Wallflowers, Jinjer once again prove their exceptional knack for mixing groove, prog, alternative and experimental influences to create a sound unlike anything that has ever come before it.

Wallflowers not only presents a methodical and premeditated next step in the band's already imposing career, but moreover, it mirrors the personal adversities they’ve faced due to the worldwide events over the last year. Wallflowers is not only an upgrade to the progressive groove metal sound that all Jinjer fans crave, but also a sonic pressure cooker of technical musicianship, emotional fury and an intense soundtrack befitting the harrowing state of the world today. Hailing from the conflict-ridden Ukrainian region of Donetsk but now calling Kiev their home base, Jinjer truly do not mince words – or riffs – on Wallflowers. Their exceptional precision of modern metal paired with tough as nails attitude has earned them a fiercely loyal, rabid fanbase and massive critical acclaim, making Jinjer one of the most talked about bands today and garnering them many sold-out performances across the globe. With nearly all of Jinjer’s releases composed between vans, backstage rooms and constant touring, Wallflowers continues where its predecessor Macro left off, only this time with less distraction and more time to focus on songwriting.

Alt-rock quartet El Moono release new video/single 'White Gold'
El Moono 2021.jpg

'White Gold' out now via Lockjaw Records

'White Gold' will be featured on Lockjaw BLM compilation, released 27th August

Alt-rock quartet El Moono have released their new single/video 'White Gold', out now via Lockjaw Records.

Stream/purchase 'White Gold' here: https://elmoono.lnk.to/whitegold

El Moono comment on the new single:

"Written at the height of the first lockdown in 2020, 'White Gold' is a sociopolitical commentary that showcases our more melodic side, while treating ears to a soundscape of distortion and drop-tuned chaos.

"Zac wrote the lyrics 2 hours after he attended a BLM protest in Brighton, inspired and impassioned by the events. The right to protest is at the heart of our democracy, and our outrage at losing that liberty due to the PCSC bill has retroactively added further to the song’s meaning.

"The song’s name ‘White Gold’ is inspired by the alloy’s construction. Originally developed to imitate platinum, it’s a metal much more precious than its parts - we saw a parallel in our civilisation; how our society is much stronger together than as a racist, ‘proud’, white-washed country that is propped up by the work of the oppressed.

"The world we see today is in fact a melting pot of different races - an alloy of different people, races, cultures and creeds, and it is something we should celebrate. Everyone should be treated fairly, and that change comes from within each and every one of us. The first step is acknowledging the past, becoming an ally, and moving forward to build a better future together."

'White Gold' and previous single 'Forced To Smile' mark a new era for the atmospheric, raucously anarchic El Moono. Following their 2019 single 'Thanks for Nothing' (Small Pond Records) and heavy touring around the UK and Europe with the likes of Black Peaks, Phoxjaw, Haggard Cat, Fangclub, and Press to MECO - El Moono are back with a vengeance. With influences of rock, hardcore, metal and grunge, the band's off-kilter and oftentimes mind-bending riffs, emotive songs and expressive lyricism combine to create a sound that’s difficult to pigeonhole.

'White Gold' and ‘Forced to Smile’ follow 'Thanks for Nothing', their self-released EP 'Tides' and standalone single 'Aura'. El Moono's captivating music have seen support from Kerrang! Radio’s Alex Baker, who has played every single to date on his show, as well as Amazing Radio and more.

With upcoming tours supporting Haggard Cat, with Mother Vulture, and a headline tour, festival appearances, including Burn it Down and Attitude Festival, and their first hometown show in two years lined up for 2021, there’s no stopping this promising quartet.
