Los Angeles, California's Nekrogoblikon are melodic hard rock pranksters who deploy gnarly death metal earworms filled with crafty hooks, claw-pumping choruses, lightning-fast riffs, and over the top, EDM-style keyboard flourishes. With their ostentatious goblin hypeman John Goblikon, the band takes cues from hyperbolic horror-metal enthusiasts like GWAR, Finntroll, and Dethklok, while maintaining an affable, self-referential sense of humour. The group's early outings, like 2007's Goblin Island, were largely low-fidelity affairs, but by the early 2010s, Nekrogoblikon were operating at a far higher technical level, and employing a rotating cast of talented players.

Founded in 2006, Nekrogoblikon self-produced their debut album, the relatively lo-fi Goblin Island, in a basement. The LP was released in 2007, and an expanded line-up was quickly assembled to help flesh out the fledgling group's audacious live shows. The more technically proficient Stench arrived in 2011, and included the single 'No One Survives' — the video written and directed by Brandon Dermer (Panic At The Disco, Every Time I Die, Diplo, Dillon Francis) became a viral hit, and landed the band festival slots at Download Festival in the UK and Rock Im Park/Rock Am Ring in Germany. The Power EP was issued the following year, and in 2014 the band joined Limp Bizkit on the Kerrang! Tour. In 2015 they released the concept LP Heavy Meta via their own Mystery Box label, and in 2018, Nekrogoblikon issued their fourth studio long-player, Welcome to Bonkers, which was followed by extensive touring including performing on the entirety of the final cross-country Vans Warped Tour and Summer Slaughter. In between touring stints, the band (along with Brandon Dermer and writer/actor Dave Rispoli) released three seasons of RIGHT NOW, a comedic talk show starring band mascot John Goblikon. The series features a wide array of high profile guests including comedian Bobby Lee, The Used, Keith Buckley from Every Time I Die, Wes Borland from Limp Bizkit, and Joe Trohman from Fallout Boy.

Legendary heavy metal vocalist Dee Snider was recently interviewed as part of a powerful new REELZ documentary detailing the aftermath of one of the most horrific tragedies in music history, The Station nightclub fire, entitled America’s Deadliest Rock Concert: The Guest List. Featured in the documentaries soundtrack is one of the most heartfelt, moving songs from Dee's latest album, Leave A Scar, entitled 'Stand'. Today, in honour of the lives lost, Dee Snider and The Guest List director/producer David Bellino proudly unveil a brand new music video for 'Stand', featuring unforgettable footage from the documentary itself.

REELZ original documentary America’s Deadliest Rock Concert: The Guest List premiered this past Sunday, 20th February, presenting the deeply personal stories of lives forever altered by the tragic Station nightclub fire that left 100 people dead, more than 200 injured, and devastated the tight-knit community of West Warwick, Rhode Island. Dee Snider has performed at The Station nightclub numerous times throughout his career and was instrumental in bringing together fellow recording artists for a fundraising concert for survivors and victims’ families.

Dee Snider adds:
“Nobody should have to die because they want to see a band and listen to the music they love. Nobody should be scarred for life, be crippled or have their children orphaned because of their love for rock n' roll. This documentary not only serves as a reminder of this incredible tragedy, but it shines a light on an amazing group of people who overcame unfathomable loss, and survived, even thrived in the aftermath.”

Dee Snider’s latest album, Leave A Scar, is an illuminating plentitude of angst etched in time, serving as a musical refuge and expressive output for Dee. Following the release of debut video 'Make Believe' new single / video 'Kings Today' serves as a fun and hard-hitting introduction to the band and is an exciting taste of what can be expected from the EP. Directed by Chris Kells, who is also the bassist from The Agonist, the concept of a visual food fight was one he'd been wanting to create for some time, and 'Kings Today' turned out to be the perfect fit.

On the single Killer V comments: "The song is about moving forward together by having a willingness to understand others and that it’s okay to disagree and challenge ideas. At the end of the day, I believe we’re all more alike as people than we are different. The music is dark and moody and sets a serious tone, which creates a beautiful visual contrast with the food flying everywhere and us yelling at each other. Plus, we got a cool bear sitting at the dinner table with us.”

From the opening riffs of 'Kings Today' to the closing growls of "Heart Of Stone," Sicksense are dedicated to their mission of making fans bounce and sing their hearts out through thought-provoking lyrics, rage-fuelled raps and powerful melodies, supported with low-tuned stomping nu-metal riffs and grooves.

Having both performed a range of styles in numerous heavy bands, Killer V and Rob The Ripper (who are married) wanted to return to a genre that’s close to their hearts, but also make music that is specifically written for two vocalists. Written with dual vocal interplay from a male / female perspective, their performance reflects a personal and fun side of them as people, but also tackles social and societal issues in the world today. Sicksense were born out of the band’s desire to share their upbeat and fun message with the world.

Kings Today was recorded, mixed & mastered by Christian Donaldson. The artwork for the EP was created by Aleksandra Panic.

Since the release of their highly acclaimed and successful debut album, Resolve have been experimenting and exploring a more bare-bones sound, resulting in a special take on their own song 'Seasick Sailor (Alternate Version)'.

On the reworked version of the track, bassist Robin Mariat explains:

"We’ve never been afraid to show the softer side of our influences, but this alternative version of 'Seasick Sailor' is the most bare-bones we’ve ever been. Or at least it is for the first minute and a half, before it starts building into a full-on orchestra with a full orchestra arrangement. So probably not that bare-bones after all. But it sure was a lot of fun to put this version together and add another sonic layer to the BMATM universe!"

On the album overall, Robin continues:

“It’s about finding your own place within a world that is becoming more and more dominated by machines. We are part of the last generation that grew up without the Internet. Even though it feels natural to us, it’s also easy to still feel a little bit lost.”

Vocalist Anthony Diliberto comments on their debut album:

"It’s hard to put into words what this record means to us. We’ve been working on it and doubting ourselves for what feels like an eternity now, but to see it finally see the light of day is so much more thrilling than it is scary. 'Seasick Sailor (Alternate Version)' follows the album's previous singles 'Forever Yours', 'D.G.G.R.S.', 'Surrender', 'Emerald Skies', 'Beautiful Hell' and 'Seasick Sailor', which have all had strong support on Alex Baker's Kerrang! Radio Fresh Blood show.

Resolve are a band that have been savouring every second of their journey so far and biding their time - observing, learning, building - and making sure that every single aspect of how they’ve wanted the band to function was fully realised before delivering it to the world.

Starting their journey back in 2016 after their previous projects parted ways and their intentions set on this being their forever band, vocalist Anthony Diliberto, bassist Robin Mariat and drummer Nathan Mariat have spent the last half a decade tinkering with the formula that feels the most suited to them. Making their first mark in 2017 with debut EP Reverie, before following with standalone single ‘Carmela’ in 2018, it wasn’t until 2019 that they felt truly at home in their sound.

In the words of Ithaca: "Making this video was one of the hardest but most creatively fulfilling things we've ever done as a band. We shot in multiple locations over multiple days, we stripped down to our underwear, we swallowed fake blood - we put everything into it!

"The video is about reclaiming power - our main location was in a stately home of the British landed gentry, to create a contrast between us and the colonial imagery on the walls, representing us kicking down doors and taking up space. The visuals are influenced by experimental cinema, religious iconography and pre-Raphaelite paintings. Chicago-based thrash trio Misfire have unveiled their latest video and single, 'Red Flag'. Premiered via Metal Injection, the track comes from the band’s pulverising Sympathy For The Ignorant debut full-length, set for release on 1st April on their new label home of MNRK Heavy.

Conjuring old-school flavoured thrash metal devastation with the kind of bombastic firepower that could wake the dead, Misfire creates more of a racket than bands twice their size, delivering song after song of unrelenting fury. It’s music that could have arrived in the thrash golden age of 1986, when bands like Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Dark Angel, and Sodom delivered vital records. And yet Misfire is forward-thinking, injecting modern metal mastery into their brew for a powerful, timeless sound.  

Comments the band of new single 'Red Flag', “This song is the result of a series of incredibly challenging situations we have been in throughout our lives. This was one of the first songs written for Misfire and we are stoked to share it with you all! Raise your red flag!" 

Created in a small studio and engineered by bassist/vocalist Sean Coogan, the debut album for Misfire is free from click-tracks and other unnecessary frills, projecting the purity of what three musicians raised on Pantera and the Big 4 sound like in a room together. Sympathy For The Ignorant is heavy, confident, and filled with the kind of earworm thrash metal riffs that sends aspiring players to the guitar store.  

“The album is a sonically badass version of what you’ll hear live. It’s real, no fake shit,” drummer Nicademus says. “It’s very much a throwback to the way things used to be recorded. Like, just turn the shit on, press record, layer some stuff in after that, put some words on top of it, mix it, and it’s done.” 

Armed with the attitude and songs to follow in the footsteps of Slayer, Metallica, and Lamb Of God, the three men of Misfire are heavy metal lifers. “I started playing drums when I was eleven, and ever since, it’s all I talk about,” says Nicademus. “Jay and I started jamming together at ages twelve and thirteen.”  

In just a short couple of years, Misfire quickly shared the stage with thrash legends Sacred Reich and modern throwback bands like Iron Reagan and Warbringer. As long-running tastemakers Metal Crypt wrote in a review of Sympathy For The Ignorant, “these fellows are ready for the big leagues.”  

“Whatever happens, we’re going to be here for a long time because we can’t live without doing this shit,” Nicademus declares. “All we want is to make records, tour, and have a good time doing it.”

The moment you hear it, you know it’s Crowbar. Praised by media giants like Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Decibel, and Revolver, twice immortalised by MTV’s Beavis And Butt-Head, the group are worshiped by the heartbroken and downtrodden - those who exorcise their demons in smoke-covered riffs of mournful devastation. A genuine band’s band, with a wide-ranging influence across multiple genres, Crowbar “helped draw up the sludge metal blueprints” - Kerrang!.

Produced, mixed, and mastered by Duane Simoneaux at OCD Recording And Production in Metairie, Louisiana, Zero And Below is reverently old-school, counterbalanced by a resonant melodicism that’s stunningly mature. The record, which cements the band’s dense catalogue exactly one dozen studio albums deep, is the most unforgivably doom-driven Crowbar record since their 1998 landmark effort, Odd Fellows Rest.

Led by riff lord Kirk Windstein, whose menacing bellow and smooth drawl puts resilient, unrepentant strength behind even the most somber odes to suffering, songs like 'Chemical Godz,' 'It’s Always Worth The Gain,' and latest single, 'Bleeding From Every Hole,' are unapologetic emotional outpourings, with a bare-knuckle resolve alongside its soul-searching vulnerability, reliably delivered with crushing heaviness.

Notes Windstein, “I really love this track. It’s kind of strange that it was written before the Covid epidemic because the song is basically what so many people went through in a metaphorical way during the shutdowns, loss of work, and social life. Things seemed so bad that no matter which way you turned it was the wrong direction. I wanted to express that there are people that feel that things are hopeless… but they do get better in the end. Your inner strength is there. It needs to be let out. I hope everyone enjoys the song. It is really one of my favorites.”

Initially scheduled as a 2020 run, the journey kicks off March 4th and runs to 9th April. Additional support will be provided by Art Of Shock. The pounding album opener reflects everything the new full-length stands for, kicking in immediately with stunning guitar work and unveils a chorus sure to top the annals of EVERGREY history. Listen carefully and you will hear the voices of hundreds of fans who were invited by EVERGREY to send recordings of their voices to later provide group vocals for the track – making their everlasting mark on EVERGREY history.

“'Save Us' is about us. It’s about you and I. It’s about how I see our minds becoming hostages in a world where painting optimal portraits of ourselves is more important than being who we really are. It’s about my observation of watching people around me who are feeling that they’re not good enough for the world, or for themselves. I’m afraid we’re lost, and I think we need to help each other to find our way back to what is important, to rediscover a true sense of self. As we, as artists, also contribute to content and social media as a livelihood, it’s about the paradox of being caught in a world which is hard to free yourself from. I can only wish that our music brings some balance to that equation.”

Celebrating over 25 years of metal mastery, EVERGREY, led by founder, singer and guitarist Tom S. Englund, are known for wandering the realms of progressive and heavy melodic metal and painting sonic renderings with their twelve studio records released as of today. A Heartless Portrait (The Orphean Testament), the follow-up to the unit’s highly successful 2021 full-length, Escape of the Phoenix (which landed at numerous chart positions worldwide), reveals a 10 track mélange of which every note, every riff and every word seeps pure poetry – creating a ceaseless intensity that mesmerizes from the very first second.

The new album was recorded at Top Floor Studios Gothenburg, engineered by Jakob Herrman and produced by Tom S. Englund and Jonas Ekdahl, with mixing and mastering by Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios (Volbeat, Destruction, Epica and many more), whereas the hauntingly beautiful album artwork was conjured by Giannis Nakos at Remedy Art Design. Nakos is known for creating artworks for acts like Oceans Of Slumber, Amaranthe, The Agonist and The Crown as well as merchandise for Morbid Angel, Suffocation or Cryptopsy – just to name a few.
