The live version is cut from their highly-anticipated first official live DVD/BluRay, Live in Los Angeles, set for release on 17th May 2024 via Napalm Records. Originally the track appeared on Jinjer’s 2019 studio album, Macro. This meaningful song holds profound significance and perfectly embraces the sense of the new live album. Filmed on 22nd December, 2022 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, USA, Live in Los Angeles not only honours their endurance through recent challenges, but also celebrates their triumphant 15-year journey.

MNRK Heavy is pleased to welcome Colorado-based hardcore group Fox Lake to its roster for the release of their upcoming new full-length.

Born in the high elevation of Denver, Fox Lake bring an elevated and energetic sound to the heavy music scene. The band started in 2017 as four friends jamming in their basement looking to branch out from the typical metalcore sound by incorporating elements of their favourite genres: hardcore, hip-hop, and rock ‘n’ roll. Fox Lake have continually levelled up by giving audiences undeniable grooves, punchy rhythms, and an anti-establishment swagger. It’s all culminated into a sonic, brass-knuckled punch to the face that’s landing on anyone in their proximity.

The band commented on the track, “Whether it be from the corruption, lies, abuse of power, or just plain disrespect, so many people, regardless of their political identity, have lost faith in our systems. The belief that our institutions are looking out for us seems to be a thing of the past. ‘Savior’ is a rallying cry for anyone who feels disenfranchised. It’s an energetic wake-up call to confront our responsibilities. We need to look out for each other because no one else will.”

German rock / nu-metal sextet From Fall to Spring have released their brand new single and video 'CONTROL', out now via Arising Empire.

'CONTROL' is a compelling new single that delves deep into themes of personal turmoil and the search for self-mastery amidst chaos. Formed in Germany, From Fall To Spring are showing off a new standard within the nu-metal scene. Notably, this release signifies a significant milestone as the band's inaugural album under their independent label, Floodlit Recordings, showcasing a seamless journey from inception through recording, mixing, mastering, and eventual release.

Adds Joe, "From Low Beams of Hope is an album with more of an abstract feel than our previous records. Where Floodlit and Loss were a very focused reaction to grief, From Low Beams Of Hope came from an attempt to get perspective on the passage of life, thematically and sonically embracing our own experiences in an attempt to create something that can feel at once uplifting and exciting, vulnerable and reflective, yet was made in fragmented and difficult surroundings."

Audio clips sourced from the band's touring and studio experiences form the foundation of From Low Beams Of Hope. These snippets of chatter, in-jokes and camaraderie only become prominent in the album's softer, more melancholic moments. Additionally, the introductory poem sets the tone for the record, highlighting themes of impermanence, perspective, regret, and respite. An incredibly immersive and mind-expanding listening experience, the album showcases the collective's growth since their previous releases. This includes their 2020 reimagining of their debut album, Loss (originally from 2018), as well as the highly acclaimed collaboration with Conjurer, Curse These Metal Hands.

Set just before the events of their sophomore album Trinity, 'The Jericho Protocol' fleshes out the story of main character Rachel Barker’s time in Heaven, a rehabilitation centre known as The Garden Hotel, made to help newcomers to the realm adjust to their new afterlife. Things begin to go horribly wrong when she discovers they have been killing her over and over again to reset her memories every time she fails the rehab process, leading to catastrophic events, and the destruction of the realm.

'The Jericho Protocol' hurtles you through the harrowing events in the ever-evolving The Gloom In The Corner story, and is also set to be accompanied by a short-story A Reflection, A Thousand Deaths, penned by frontman Mikey Arthur and due for release on 29th May.

UK rock quintet Black Lakes have released a video for their new single 'Hurricane'. The track is taken from their upcoming second album Dead Gods, due for release later this year.

The band comment: 

"'Hurricane' is a political commentary on the hopeful aspirations and expectations placed on world leaders by those desperate for salvation, from a societal set that will never provide it. The hurricane comes and repeatedly and relentlessly washes away each and every expectation whilst we, the people, are left begging for salvation." 

Ahead of the album Black Lakes have released The Dark EP, which features 'Hurricane', previous single 'White Cliffs' and an unreleased demo of 'Maze' from the Dead Gods recording sessions.

Black Lakes’ sound blurs the boundaries between hard rock and alternative metal, drawing on a wide range of influences from across both genres.
 
Formed in 2018, Black Lakes successfully crowdfunded the production and release of their 2022 critically acclaimed debut album For All We’ve Left Behind. Produced by Romesh Dodangoda, the album achieved several notable accolades, including ‘Album Of The Year’ by four different media outlets.
 
The singles from For All We’ve Left Behind enjoyed extensive airplay across national radio, including BBC Radio, Kerrang! Radio and Planet Rock Radio. The album was further bolstered by features in Fireworks, Power Play and Emerging Rock Bands Magazine.

Black Lakes have worked hard to build a reputation as a captivating live act, picking up new fans from across the UK, and are always striving to build on their previous shows to create something bigger and better for their growing fanbase to enjoy. Notable live appearances include Planet Rockstock, The Loverocks, Wildfire and SOS.
  
Following the success of their crowdfunding campaign for their debut album, Black Lakes ran a pre-order campaign via their webstore to fund their upcoming second album Dead Gods. The band have sold over 200 copies of the upcoming album to date, raising over £6000 to help fund the production of the record.
