To be held at Manchester's O2 Victoria Warehouse on 4th-6th July, RADAR 2025 will see darkwave legend Carpenter Brut perform as a UK exclusive - the first headliner announced for next year's event.
They are joined by the uniquely exhilarating Zeal & Ardor, Swedish melodic alternative heavyweights Normandie, instrumental prog luminary Intervals, and 11 other acts.

Alongside the acts announced, RADAR's commitment to a musical and gaming paradise continues: their music & gaming market will return. Expected to be wowed by a retro arcade, the best new instruments and music tech, and many more besides.
Also demonstrating their commitment to new bands, RADAR will continue to donate a portion of ticket sales proceeds to Music Venue Trust, in order to support grassroots music venues.
RADAR - the UK's most exciting new progressive music festival - moved to Manchester for its 2023 edition, the third iteration of the festival.
RADAR pride themselves on providing a first home for the best international artists - previous years have seen Dirty Loops' (2022) and The Callous Daoboys' (2023) first UK shows.
Joining the list were RADAR 2024's Friday headliners - synth royalty The Midnight, making their UK festival debut. Accompanying them were Saturday headliners TesseracT, as the UK prog metal titans delivered a special War Of Being album set. Finally, closing the festival on Sunday modern progressive titans Leprous performed a world-first live, by request fan set.
RADAR 2023 saw Friday headliners Sleep Token joining Periphery (Sunday) and Igorrr (Saturday) among a host of the best from the UK progressive underground and globally.
RADAR capped their intensely impressive 2022 by winning the Best New Festival Award at the UK Festival Awards on 6th December in Manchester, and were shortlisted for Best Small Festival and Best Metropolitan Festival at 2023's UK Festival Awards.

'Rain' delivers SENNA’s signature blend of hauntingly melodic tones and crushing breakdowns, highlighting the band’s expanded depth with intricate, emotive riffs from guitarist Marcel Dürr, heavy grooves from bassist Fabian Cattarius, and impassioned vocals from Simon Masdjedi. The single also introduces Viktor Warzecha on drums, whose precise and explosive style propels the track with newfound energy.
Reflecting on the track, Simon shares: "This song is about how alive you feel when you are with that one special person —like nothing else matters, and you are lifted beyond the ordinary. There’s this perfect sync between each other, a warmth that just ignites everything.!
"It’s not your typical slow and melancholic love song. Knowing where Simon wanted to take this song lyrically, I knew the instrumentation had to match the higher energy" adds Marcel. "I wanted to write a song that makes you want to dance and celebrate but still feels intimate and familiar".
Dead Icarus, the new project of former Atreyu lead vocalist and Gold-selling artist Alex Varkatzas, as well as Gabe Mangold of Enterprise Earth and Brandon Zackey, have today (31st October) released their debut album Zealot, out via MNRK Heavy.
Produced and co-written by Mangold, Zealot is a precise and pummeling execution of airtight technical riffs, miles of solos, blast beat assault and battery, and screamed, growled, and sung vocals.

Countless fans worldwide initially got to know Varkatzas as co-founder and original frontman for influential Southern California metalcore stalwarts Atreyu. After two decades earmarked by chart-shaking success, a pair of Gold albums and Gold singles, sold-out shows around the globe, and critical renown, he embarked on his next chapter in 2020.
Enter Mangold. Celebrated as guitarist for Enterprise Earth, he and Alex instantly clicked and forged a musical partnership, yielding their 2024-released Ad infernum EP. Inciting critical applause, Revolver promised, "Fans of old-school Atreyu will definitely enjoy."
Dead Icarus will also embark on their first US tour this September with Enterprise Earth and Nekrogoblikon. Worldwide touring is planned for 2025 and beyond.

Swedish high-energy rock'n'roll pioneers THE HELLACOPTERS have revealed the cover and release date of their brand new studio album Overdriver, which will see the light of day on 31st January 2025, via Nuclear Blast Records.
Less than three years after their triumphant, chart-storming comeback record, Eyes Of Oblivion, Sweden's most consistently great rock outfit are back with another banger of an album.
Overdriver was recorded at Strawberry Studio & The Honk Palace and is the first THE HELLACOPTERS album entirely produced by Nicke Andersson. As you might expect from a THE HELLACOPTERS album it's filled to the brim with roaring guitars and earth-shattering grooves, fist-raising energy and anthemic choruses, while keeping the variety richer than ever before.

THE HELLACOPTERS released their eighth studio album titled Eyes Of Oblivion on April 1st, 2022. It marked the first full-length since the release of their temporary farewell record Head Off in 2008, and was met with massive acclaim from fans and media alike. Charting at #1 in Sweden, #3 in Germany, #6 in Finland, the band celebrated a triumphant return culminating in a show with the mighty Iron Maiden in Gothenburg in July 2022, and gigs with Ghost in Germany in June 2023. In February 2024 their beloved classic album Grande Rock was rereleased on physical formats, featuring a re-worked companion piece with additional guitar, piano and vocal tracks called Grande Rock Revisited.

earthtone9 are celebrated by those in the know as one of the most innovative, intelligent, and creatively astute bands in the annals of British metal history. Rising to prominence in the late '90s amidst the burgeoning nu-metal scene, their sophisticated musicality and cerebral approach set them apart as a truly unique and groundbreaking force from the outset. Releasing an album annually between 1998 and 2000, starting with the meticulously crafted debut, Lo-def(inition) Discord, and culminating in the monumental Arc’tan’gent in 2000 – their prolific output matched the sheer brilliance of their music.
After splitting in 2002 the band made a surprise return in 2013 with the crowdfunded album, IV. Following this they made only occasional appearances in the live arena (including at the ArcTanGent Festival, which purloined its name from their third album!), before once again seeming to disappear on hiatus.
Now, 11 years on from their last record, they present In Resonance Nexus, a thrilling work of brains and muscle that not only stokes a fire, but sees the band's core members – vocalist Karl Middleton and guitarists Owen Packard and Joe Roberts – rediscovering and reconnecting with what makes them so special. More than anything, In Resonance Nexus represents the idea that some things are just too good and too special to lie perpetually dormant. With something as pure as earthtone9, that desire to create never truly leaves you. Eventually, even after a decade or more, it wants to come out again.

Johanna commented: "Growing up with Leonard Cohen's music, as my mother was a passionate fan, I have always been profoundly touched by his lyrics and of course especially gravitated towards this extremely haunting death theme. Bobby Liebling and I have been talking about collaborating for quite a few years now. When I knew I wanted Lucifer to cover 'Who By Fire', Bobby was the perfect one to interpret this very eerie song and I am so glad he said yes. Being a huge Pentagram fan, this is quite something for me! We are extremely pleased how 'Who By Fire' turned into a Lucifer song and Halloween was the perfect occasion to release this morbid work."
LUCIFER will continue their successful 2024 Satanic Panic European Tour next week, and once again they're being joined by German rising stars, The Night Eternal. The tour package will be completed by US heavy metal band Tanith, which features Russ Tippins (original guitar player of NWOBHM legends SATAN) on guitar and vocals.

Since their inception in 2014 in Berlin, the highly prolific band led by charismatic singer Johanna Platow Andersson have released four electrifying albums on Rise Above (LUCIFER I) and Century Media Records (LUCIFER II-IV), as well as and numerous stand-alone singles infused with 1970s hard rock, proto heavy metal, doom and occult rock, with a nod to their main influences such as Black Sabbath, Pentagram & Blue Öyster Cult.
They have played over 250 shows in Europe, Japan, North & South America, including festivals such as KISS Kruise, Psycho Las Vegas, Hellfest, Wacken and many more, most recently supporting the band GHOST on their European tour in spring 2023. The title track, 'Give Us The Moon', builds into a singalong chorus, before the band continues their trademark of name-dropping streets and cities on 'A Paris Point Of View', that features fascinating instrumentation, including particularly 80s-inspired keys and groovy bass. Sentimental 'Runaways' feels like a part of a movie, only partially because of the attention-grabbing intro track before the first notes. The Night Flight Orchestra get the tempo up once more for 'Way To Spend The Night', before epic closing track 'Stewardess, Empress, Hot Mess (And The Captain Of Pain)' wraps up The Night Flight Orchestra’s most cinematic masterpiece so far.
Give Us The Moon is free from the limitations of one genre or style, although many of the soundscapes of the album draw inspiration from the 80s, making the album a varied, exciting adventure. The album was produced by The Night Flight Orchestra and Sebastian Forslund, who also mixed the album, and is mastered by Plec Johansson at the award-winning The Panic Room Studios. Founded in 2008 in Vaasa, Finland, One Morning Left are well known for their unique blend of electro, hardcore and metalcore influences, as well as their entertaining and energetic live shows where absolutely anything can happen.
One Morning Left's fourth album, Hyperactive, marked their first new material in five years and began a whole new chapter in their story. Drawing inspiration from retro electronic and video game music, as well as 80s hard rock, the band stayed true to their heavier roots while exploring fresh musical territories.
Now, the band are set to continue this evolution with their upcoming album, Neon Inferno. This new album promises to build on the foundation laid by Hyperactive, further blending their eclectic influences into a high-energy, genre-defying sound.
Changes have occurred not only in their musical style but also in their lineup. Returning from the cast of 2016’s Metalcore Superstars are frontman Mika Lahti, singer-guitarist Leevi Luoto, and drummer Niko Hyttinen. Still precociously young, Tortured Demon have already opened for Evile and Xentrix in 2022, and, at Bloodstock 2021, such was their performance, the Jagermeister Stage fell down around them.
Drawing the largest crowd ever seen on that stage, Tortured Demon were since been invited back to perform at Bloodstock 2023.
Releasing their debut in 2021, recorded when all bandmembers were still at school, Tortured Demon have moved up a gear with their new record, Rise Of The Lifeless.
Rise Of The Lifeless was self-released by the band worldwide, except for Japan, where they’ve already inked a deal with Spiritual Beast/Universal Music Japan. Tortured Demon’s debut – In Desperation’s Grip – was DiskUnion (Tokyo’s leading record store)’s best-selling international metal record on release week. Again, no mean feat for a band so young.
Since 2018, Oldham brothers Jacob and Joe Parkinson have been launching a full-scale assault on the UK thrash scene. The band have built a loyal live following nationwide thanks to their impressive history of high-octane shows for a band at such an early stage in their career, culminating in their first headline tour - the Tour Of The Lifeless - in October 2023. Packing venues nationwide, Tortured Demon cemented themselves as a legitimate UK headliner, despite having no agent, management or record label at the time. This is a testament to the hard work and extreme dedication that Jacob and Joe Parkinson continue to pour into their craft, even after 5 years on the road.
The band welcomed fresh blood in the form of guitarist Rory Marsland-Smith and bassist Luke Entwistle in 2024, and launched into tours as main support to Xentrix and Evile in the UK and Ireland.
Now with the release of 'Nothing Left To Say', Tortured Demon continue fast on their upward trajectory.
