Great American Ghost have shared the arrival of 'Kerosene', the fourth single from the band’s upcoming album Tragedy Of The Commons, out 31st January on SharpTone Records. The track opens the record with a buzzsaw riff and pummelling industrial-style beat. Taking inspiration from bands like Nine Inch Nails and HEALTH as much as Slayer and Meshuggah, 'Kerosene' signals Great American Ghost’s ability to write killer songs that transcend genre.

After releasing their chart-topping studio album, Wallflowers, in 2021, which was hailed as “… one of the finest – and most important – metal releases of 2021” by KERRANG! (UK) as well as “a progressive masterpiece” by New Noise Magazine (US), the four-piece entered stages at Europe’s biggest festivals, such as Wacken, Download and Rock am Ring, just to name a few. While JINJER’s previous album, Wallflowers, was slightly more alluring and contained noticeably more clean vocals, Duél now takes on a much more aggressive tone. This is proven by songs like 'Rogue', 'Green Serpent' and 'Dark Bile', with their brutal and hefty breakdowns. Fans of super-talented vocalist Tatiana Shmayluk’s clear vocals also get their moments, as tracks such as the opener 'Tantrum' show the potential of the frontwoman’s outstanding vocal prowess. Duél presents itself way more cruelly – and JINJER are more vicious than ever before. On Duél, JINJER continue their long-lasting collaboration with accomplished producer Max Morton, who co-produced, mixed and mastered the album. This new masterwork lives up to JINJER’s reputation as metal visionaries, once more showing that the band refuses to follow any set rules in their genre, but choose their own path of creativity.

"This upcoming album was the longest songwriting process we’ve ever had and it took almost two years to complete. We worked very hard with every free minute we weren’t on tour, recording demos over and over again and always searching for the perfect sound for guitars, bass and drums. It was also the first time that Tatiana did vocal pre-productions, so it’s safe to say that none of our releases were so well thought out and calculated as this one. It pulverises the boundaries of the modern progressive metal genre but still remains sophisticated, exciting and extreme all at the same time. OVERSIZE have announced their stunning debut album Vital Signs, due 28th February 2025 via SharpTone.

Of the single, the band comment: "While 'Vital Signs' is technically the title track of the album, it was originally written as an album closer and from start to finish was written comfortably in under an hour. I think the simplicity of the song and the free-flowing structure combined with extra production elements - drum loops and super saturated and effect heavy guitars - give this song a unique feel within our catalogue of songs. Lyrically much like the rest of the album, the song revolves around a journey of grief and the acceptance of loss. We felt the lyric ‘Vital Signs’ was the perfect summary for the album as a whole."

On the album, the band continue: "It feels very surreal to finally be releasing our debut full-length. Pretty much since the start of the band we knew we wanted to be an ‘album band’. Even through we had released two EPs previously we’ve always had enough material written to make a full length, so we knew after the second EP it was time to make the jump. Recorded in under two weeks at The Ranch Production House, we closely collaborated with producer Lewis Johns to create something we’re really proud of.

"It was always our aim to write an album where each song has its own identity yet still works holistically as an album, we were really conscious of the album not sounding to ‘samey’ yet the same time not feeling like a playlist of random songs. We’re still so honoured that SharpTone shares our passion and vision for the record and can’t wait for people to finally hear it."

OVERSIZE have already turned the heads of many tastemakers in the UK scene, with rave reviews and rapt attention from Dan P Carter, Alyx Holcombe, and Jack Saunders at BBC R1. In their short time as a band OVERSIZE have already performed at Outbreak Festival, and supported Militarie Gun, Higher Power, Fiddlehead, Boston Manor, and many more.  

Although still very much in their infancy, the group - who formed in the South West of England - have already developed a fully-formed, personal sound. Elements of post-hardcore, alternative metal, shoegaze and emo combine to deliriously heady effect. While the band don’t shy away from their love of alternative 90’s music, and a love of HUM, Smashing Pumpkins, Deftones, and Pixies, OVERSIZE have very little interest in being sonically tied to the past. 

The bandmembers' shared experience of writing and playing live together has found them carving out their own space within the alternative scene, in just a handful of years. Exploring the vast range of dynamics within their music, songs drift between atmospheric textures to loud fuzzy riffs, magnifying and complimenting the personal and often venerable vocals.

Having recorded Path to Self Destruct with producer Steve Sears Jr (Gallows, TRC, Prowler, Conjurer) the band are set out to prove why they stand apart, delivering a release that is in equal parts blistering as it is poetically cathartic. The EP lyrically delves into the complexities of life, exploring themes of betrayal, societal values, and tragedy. The EP features previous single 'Opposites React', a groove driven, empowering track that features vocals from Jem of Aussie hardcore band Speed.

Comprised of individuals deeply rooted in the underground music scene, False Reality are a London-based hardcore band that formed in 2023. Renowned for their thrash infused, hardcore crossover sound and fiercely energetic performances they draw influences from bands such as Trapped Under Ice, Broken Teeth and Backtrack as well as early era Sepultura and even Deftones.

False Reality have carved out a distinct identity, leaving an imprint on audiences who have witnessed their performances. Modern rock powerhouse Pop Evil follow their scorching single 'What Remains' with new, dark track 'Deathwalk', along with cinematic music video, via MNRK Heavy. Produced by Zach Jones & KJ Strock, and directed by Sam Shapiro, fans will plunge into the dark, fragmented landscape of lead singer Leigh Kakaty's psyche, unraveling the thin line between self-identity and survival. Kakaty confronts existential questions of his own mortality and legacy.

Pop Evil returned in August by showcasing their new sound with single 'What Remains.' It was produced by Wage War's Cody Quistad and serves as the dawn of a new era for Pop Evil, which the band promises will be its most sonically heavy. 'What Remains' currently sits at No. 8 on the Mainstream Active Rock Chart in the USA.

The six-time RIAA gold-certified band are gearing up for their forthcoming eighth studio album, set for release in spring 2025.

Pop Evil are currently finishing up the final dates of The Animal Instinct Tour with Bad Wolves across the USA. Sierra Pilot and Oni are serving as support. 

Kakaty previously confirmed the band’s new lineup, saying, "We are also proud to officially announce the newest member of the Pop Evil lineup — Blake Allison." Allison is replacing departed member Hayley Cramer on drums, joining Kakaty and fellow bandmates, guitarists Dave Grahs and Nick Fuelling, and bassist Joey "Chicago" Walser.   

Pop Evil first rose to international prominence with debut album Lipstick on the Mirror, featuring RIAA Certified Gold Single '100 in a 55'. After Kakaty famously tore up the band's major label contract onstage, Pop Evil signed with MNRK Heavy (formerly eOne Music). 2011's War of Angels debuted in the Top 10 of the Rock Albums chart and produced three Top 10 singles.

The band's 2013 album Onyx put them in the Top 40 of the Billboard 200 for the first time and boasted three consecutive No.1 rock songs, two RIAA Gold Singles, and one Platinum Single 'Torn to Pieces'. Pop Evil's next release, Up, was the No.1 Independent Album in America and made it to #25 on the Billboard 200. It featured several Top 5 rock songs and a chart-topper with 'Footsteps,' which also went Gold. 
 
Pop Evil's 2018 self-titled set included the No.1 hit and newly certified Gold single 'Waking Lions' and two other Top 10 hits. 2020's Versatile, meanwhile, scored two No.1 rock songs: 'Breathe Again' and 'Survivor'. In 2023, the band released its seventh studio album Skeletons, which spawned their eighth and ninth No.1 singles: 'Eye of the Storm' and 'Skeletons'.

The band have played festivals such as Metaldays (SLOV), Euroblast (GER), Maximum Rock (ROM), Complexity Fest (NL) and have toured with high profile acts such as Sikth, Textures, Landmvrks and Cynic. EXIM have also headlined the main stage at UK Tech Fest (2022), and in 2023 completed sold out tours in Mexico and most recently Japan, ending what has been a whirlwind year of highlights, cementing the band as one of the hottest acts in the progressive metal/metalcore scene.

Swedish rockers Smash Into Pieces continue to build their impressive momentum with the release of their huge new single 'Maze of Fools'.

The band comment: "This song is about breaking free from limitations, reclaiming control, and standing strong in the face of adversity. 

"You’ve got the power to take control of your future. Break me free from this maze of fools, we're in."

The new track follows their previous chart-topping singles, including 'Six Feet Under' and 'Heroes Are Calling.' Both songs have seen significant streaming numbers, with 'Six Feet Under' earning double Platinum status and 'Heroes Are Calling' achieving Gold within weeks of its release.

​Known for their distinctive futuristic and apocalyptic aesthetic, Smash Into Pieces have also gained recognition for their cinematic mini-series 'ARCADIA WORLD,' which explores a parallel virtual reality. Their live performances are marked by powerful choruses and an energetic presence, drawing audiences into what has been described as a "digital cybertronic circus".

​With over a billion streams and views, the band have established a strong global presence. In 2022, they supported Evanescence and Within Temptation on the Worlds Collide Tour, further expanding their reach. 2023 saw Smash Into Pieces achieve a new milestone when 'Six Feet Under' placed #3 in the Swedish Eurovision competition. This was followed by a busy touring schedule across Europe and the US, with a total of over 150 live shows throughout the year.

​2024 began on a high note as the band once again competed in Swedish Eurovision, where they reached #3 in the grand final, and their single topped Swedish radio charts for four weeks. They end the year with their UK headline tour (supported by From Fall To Spring).
