German symphonic metal shooting stars Beyond The Black are looking back on a phenomenal story. It started with their debut album in 2015: Songs Of Love And Death was an instant success and stayed strong in the German Top15 for weeks. On top it was awarded with the Metal Hammer Award 2015 for 'Best Debut'. Its successor Lost In Forever (2016) entered the German charts on #4 right away and paved the way for a huge tour, leading the band from Germany to countries like UK, Russia and Japan.
 
Since the band’s live debut in 2014 they have played the world’s biggest metal festival Wacken Open Air several times and toured as a support act for heavyweights such as Aerosmith, Korn, Scorpions, Saxon and Within Temptation. In the course of album release number three (Heart Of the Hurricane) Beyond The Black absolved their first own European headline tour in fall 2019 consisting of over 20 shows in 10 countries – most of them sold out.

The band didn’t stop there: Beyond The Black got back to the studio to write record number four. The highly anticipated Horizons was released in June 2020 and entered the German album charts on #3 (CH #6, AT#16, BE #53). The pandemic led to compulsory break but Beyond The Black stayed creative and came back with a bang in 2022, stronger than ever: Following their successful European Headline Tour in Fall 2022, their fifth studio album, self-titled Beyond the Black, dropped in January 2023. It charted in several countries (DE #2, UK #2 Rock, CH #6, AT#12, SE #12, US #7 top new artist) and marks the band’s highest acclaimed album release until now.

After a successful festival summer in 2023, Beyond The Black played their most successful Headline Tour across Europe to date – Dancing In The Dark – in April 2024. After several headline and festival shows in summer 2024, Beyond The Black have just announced their next European Headline Tour, the Rising High Tour, which will kick off in January 2026.

"We are incredibly excited to share our first new music in over a decade with our single 'In the Grey' and are proud to announce our partnership with MNRK Music Group," states singer Brian Fair. "When Shadows Fall first got back in the practice space to prepare for our reunion shows, we did not know if it would lead to new music, but the excitement of jamming together and all of the riffs that Jon [Donais] had floating around in his head led us in the direction almost immediately. It can be an overwhelming and lonely place but there is always a light at the end of that tunnel and we always need to keep striving for a brighter day and escaping the grey."

Known for their explosive fusion of brutality, melodic harmony, technical prowess, and lyrical depth, Burn Down Eden's music serves as a stark mirror, reflecting the darker aspects of humanity and challenging listeners to confront the uncomfortable truths we create.

Burn Down Eden state: "The lyrics to 'Suckbox' were written to a time, when there were allegations made public against Till Lindemann (Rammstein) about sexual assault. It's a very serious topic that we wanted to bring to light, since the exploitation of women in the rock and metal world is a well known secret that comes to light occasionally. And it goes far beyond our beloved scene. Athletes, politicians and actors. People with money and power tend to have a weird perspective on how they can treat people and women in particular. This was something we wanted to talk about. And of course we did it the Burn Down Eden way, telling the story from the perspective of a rock star and how we picture those situations to happen. How the managers are instructed to find new girls on each show and the power of fame is used to treat them like sh*t. "...close your eyes, open your mouth and do the f*cking deed" is a very strong line to describe this use of power figuratively. 

"So how can you supplement this topic with a video you may ask yourself? We couldn't translate the lyrics just into pictures, that's for sure. So we came up with the idea to jump into different characters that are either convicted offenders or had/have serious allegations against them. And not just rock stars but politicians, too. During the first half of the song, we kinda introduce those characters and picture them in the most cocky way we think they might act in real life, with girls dancing around them as well. When we build up to the solo part, we also start the plot twist in the video. The girls start to fight back and take over the instruments playing the rest of the song. We are very happy with the outcome and think it's a great statement."

Burn Down Eden's latest release is not just a powerful follow-up to their April 2024 EP Dismal, it’s a major milestone for the band. With the release of a music video for every track across both Dismal and today's Epiphany EP release, the band have now unleashed a total of ten videos, each one bringing a unique visual dimension to their unrelenting sound. Together, these tracks form a cohesive, full-length experience, set to drop on 31st January, 2025. On the single, the band comment: "‘Stray’ is a song that speaks deeply from the heart – inspired by all the dogs that remain unwaveringly loyal despite disappointment and pain. Chris Ellis, our singer, who has adopted street dogs himself, wanted to tell the story of an animal that continually seeks love but is left alone time and again. ‘Stray’ shows what true, unconditional loyalty means and reminds us that everyone deserves a home. It’s a musical call to give these strays a second chance." 

The video for the single was created in cooperation with VETO, the association of European animal welfare organisations. The non-profit limited company, which is committed to the welfare of shelter and street animals, provided the Ellis Mano Band with the film material used for the music clip.

The first public airing of Ellis Mano Band’s fourth album MORPH was performed during their support slot to rock legends Deep Purple, on their German tour in July 2024. The record features eleven tracks, including ‘For All I Care’, which was one of the highlights in their set supporting the British rock legends. Powerful and characterised by tempo changes, it is a contemporary, modernised homage to the essence of classic rock from the late 1960s to the end of the 1970s. A quiet acoustic interlude is thrown in for good measure. A definite nod to the unforgotten Old School. Compositional sophistication, variety and incredible playing are the hallmarks of the Anglo-American sound of the Ellis Mano Band. So it was only logical to engage a global great for the cover art. The cartridge with the broken tip and flowers growing in ist case was realised by Canadian album design legend Hugh Syme (Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Kiss, Rush and many more). The music is just as impressive. It shows how the Ellis Mano Band continue their development in line with the album title.
