The band state:

"The dawn of The Auto Exultants, the creators of the Motorsteeple. This song recalls the founding of their great citadel and their treacherous journey to the foot of the mountain where the citadel lies. Combining cloud, shadow, earth and flesh the great castle and the netherforge was created. The inception of the Motorsteeple hath begun. In the dungeons and factories of their great fortress the petrol church is born.

"This is a little taster for what is to come. A prequel to the last album
The Rise and Demise of the Motorsteeple."

Sicksense reveal their dark side with new single / video 'In This Carousel'

Phoenix nu-metal juggernauts Sicksense, have unveiled their fourth single, 'In This Carousel', a deep and emotional track, showing the darker side of the band. This is taken from their upcoming debut full-length album, Cross Me Twice, out 28th March 2025 via Earache Records.

Directed by the band, watch the video for 'In This Carousel' here: https://youtu.be/EI7_i2S6a_0

Stream 'In This Carousel' here: https://earache.lnk.to/InThisCarousel

Pre-Order Cross Me Twice: https://earache.com/sicksense

Vocalist Rob The Ripper commented: “'In This Carousel' is one of the most emotional songs on our album. It means a lot to us. The song is about feeling isolated, the frustrations of people misunderstanding you and the unfortunate realities of facing those dark moments where you find yourself contemplating ending your own life.

"We wrote this song during a rough time in our lives where two of our
Sicksense band mates had just quit the band and Vicky's (Killer V,vocals) other band, The Agonist was breaking up. These feelings of hopelessness lingered in our lives, because these two very important bands to both of us seemingly came to an end all at once. We held things together, but ultimately we re-built the band before finalizing our Cross Me Twice album.

Our guitarist,
Phil (Agent Phil) once again directed and edited the music video for us. The visuals feature all of us performing our parts in this “void” space, while Vicky is in a separate realm alongside our mascot, Deli The Bear, spinning in a music box platform."

Killer V adds: "It’s the only song on the record that I feel is truly dark. As much as people talk about battling depression, the perspective is often that it’s a paralyzing sensation. I don’t think that’s the case, or maybe it just differs from person to person. For myself, I always felt like it was the opposite. You’re  constantly moving, working, going through all the motions of life, but it never feels like you’re progressing. Point A to point B is like a circle and no matter how much you walk, you keep finding yourself at the start line.

"I don’t think there’s an obvious cure, but people should talk more about how it’s not something that can just magically go away. The narrative is that something needs to change for you to start feeling better. I think you need to go through it all and take as much time as you need, but never alone. That’s where the line 'I could use the company, so race with me' comes from. What we need is more understanding and empathy and less pressure to change."

From the maleficent minds of dual vocalists Killer V and Rob The Ripper, Sicksense are leading the charge of the new wave of nu-metal. With the added arsenal of guitarist Agent Phil [Philip Lykostratis], bassist The Gothfather [Richard Regier] and drummer Smokin' J [Joseph Polizzi], Sicksense follow up their highly acclaimed two EPs with with their heaviest record yet, melting nu-metal elements with metalcore and electronic touches for a unique spin on the rejuvenated genre.

Killer V comments on the record: "Our upcoming album, Cross Me Twice, takes the listener on an emotional rollercoaster of a journey. We evolved from our traditional nu metal sound, by incorporating more modern metal and electronic elements into this album. The heavy parts got heavier, the soft parts got softer and the catchy parts got catchier. 'Cross Me Twice' explores a wider dynamic range, which leaves the listener not knowing what to expect with each release. We were going through numerous personal issues amongst ourselves as a band while working on this record, which inevitably led to us parting ways with former members and bringing in new ones to complete it. These issues inspired the lyrical themes for each song. It wasn't easy to go through and create, but we're extremely proud of the end result.

"I remember spending countless hours working on keys and the overall sound design of 'Cross Me Twice', on top of all the vocal arrangements I normally task myself with. Teaming up with our producer, Joey Doherty, was the final step and best decision we could have made to bring you guys what we believe will be one of the absolute best sounding albums of 2025.

"There's something for everyone to enjoy here and we hope it means as much to our listeners as it does to us. It's truly special."

It's rare that a debut album inspires such fervent anticipation, but the thrill surrounding a full-length from Sicksense is concrete. A band who have nurtured their community from seedlings to an army of “Deli-boos” (if you know, you know), Sicksense made instant waves in the metal scene upon the release of their two EPs Kings Today and Fools Tomorrow.

These collections saw their music garner support from metal connoisseurs such as TankTheTech, feature in the ring with ex-NXT and NOAH pro-wrestler Stallion Rogers, and hit Spotify's Alternative Metal and New Nü playlists alongside other trailblazers in the future of metal. These two small portholes into their vibrant world have turned heads in the industry and metal fandom alike, receiving comparisons to nü-metal titans like Slipknot, Evanescence and Limp Bizkit in the process.

Sicksense have now announced their debut album Cross Me Twice, news which will see anticipation on all sides finally relieved. With Cross Me Twice, the band take their nü-metal influences and Frankenstein them into a hydra monster that sees the heads of metalcore, progressive metal and power metal combine into a modern experiment gone very right. The album is all a nü-metal fan could hope for while bringing new colour to the genre.

It's this versatility that sets Sicksense apart in the nü-gen surge. The adventurous Cross Me Twice is as fantastically otherworldly with luminous keys and glacial melodies as it is gritty with nü-metal grooves and stomach-lurching djent. Conjurers of jeweled light and chroma, commanders of shadow and moonbeams, Sicksense create such a thickly immersive atmosphere that it feels as though you can see the album just as much as you can hear it.

Berlin metalcore act Vianova release synth-driven single

Berlin-based metalcore act Vianova return with their latest single 'Melanchronic'. This synth-driven track drenches listeners in a wave of '80s nostalgia, blending melancholic undertones with soundscapes tailor-made for a contemplative night drive.

Watch the video here: https://youtu.be/Uba0M2k9pQs

Stream here: https://arisingempire.com/Melanchronic

'Melanchronic' dives deep into the emotional push-and-pull of uncertain relationships, exploring the universal longing for closure, healing, or liberation, whether by embracing those connections or leaving them behind. The recurring drum and vocal patterns, paired with Vianova's groovy riffs, create a hypnotic trance, compelling listeners to contemplate their suppressed emotions.

The track was mixed by Leon Schmidt and mastered by renowned engineer Jens Bogren, who adds his signature warm and dynamic touch, elevating the song to new heights.

During the 2020 pandemic, Vianova reinvented their musical and visual identity, evolving their sound with the arrival of bassist Raoul Zillani. This new phase embraced a more technical, aggressive, and imaginative style, culminating in their EP Looking For... and the follow-up, ...A Way Out, released in 2023. These efforts garnered international attention and led to management by Lukas Magyar (Veil of Maya) in mid-2023. The band has since performed extensively across Germany, solidifying their position as a rising force in the metalcore genre.

Now back with fresh music, Vianova push their sound even further. This new chapter aims for a raw, fierce, and dynamic approach in both mixing and songwriting. Influences from genres outside metalcore - such as soul, jazz, R&B, and 80's synths - reflect their commitment to breaking genre boundaries. Accompanying this sonic evolution is a vibrant visual transformation, characterised by a focused and youthful energy that injects fun into a metalcore landscape often perceived as stagnant.

09/05 Hamburg (DE), Monkeys
22/05 Stuttgart (DE), Goldmarks
23/05 Köln (DE), MTC

Leaders of the nu-metal revolution TETRARCH announce third album and stream new single

TETRARCH's tireless ascent to metal stardom has been palpable in the scene since their formation. Now, after four years of intensely focused growth and lead guitarist Diamond Rowe’s emergence as Jackson Guitars’ first female signature artist, the modern metal stars will release their trailblazing third album, The Ugly Side Of Me, on 9th May via Napalm Records

In celebration of today's album announcement, the band just dropped the album's second single, the anthemic 'Never Again (Parasite)', alongside a new music video. Watch here: https://youtu.be/yLFNdIRwng4

The standout track, which features the vocal debut of Diamond Rowe and follows buzzy first single 'Live Not Fantasize', carefully balances thick grooves and atmosphere with deep-cutting lyricism and the multi-faceted vocals of frontman Josh Fore.

TETRARCH comments on the track and video: “We are so excited to finally announce the release of our upcoming record, entitled , The Ugly Side of Meas well as our second single, 'Never Again (Parasite)'. 'Never Again (Parasite)' was such a fun song for us to write. It’s very moody and dark but lyrically extremely easy for anyone to relate to. It's basically about losing trust in so many of the situations and people around you - while at the same time, isolating and losing a sense of self. It also kind of has a vibe of taking back what’s yours and saying 'this won’t happen to me ever again'. I suppose you can look at it either way. This song shows a very different side of our band especially coming off of our last single 'Live Not Fantasize'.

"This is also the first time we have featured Diamond on vocals in a capacity other than just background textures and we are super stoked for everyone to hear her voice in this way.”

Featuring massive, needle-sharp production co-produced by Dave Otero, Diamond Rowe and Josh Fore, The Ugly Side Of Me boasts unrelenting brutality, catchiness and songwriting mastery. The band is poised to top the multi-millions of cross-platform streams and views of their addictive singles and high-energy videos, frequent playlisting via Spotify, Apple and others, mainstream top 40 Active Rock radio blitze as attention from major media like Billboard, Revolver, Alternative Press, Guitar World, Kerrang! and Metal Hammer, and international tours supporting legendary artists Sevendust, Atreyu and beyond.

If there is any question as to whether a band can push the confines of metal and hard rock in to the future, TETRARCH are the answer. Combining energetic modern musical aggression and lyrical honesty with colossal choruses and unforgettable melodies, TETRARCH appeal to fans both in and outside of the metal scene, providing newcomers a gateway into heavy music.

TETRARCH’s Napalm Records debut, Unstable (2021), received massive critical acclaim. Its debut single, 'I’m Not Right', cracked the Mediabase Active Rock Top 30 and has garnered over 15 million combined cross-platform streams to date. Follow up single 'You Never Listen' later went on to receive keen support from SiriusXM, HardDrive, Full Metal Jackie and many more of the country's leading active rock outlets.

Among its perfectly crafted 10 tracks, new album The Ugly Side Of Me cuts like 90s industrial-injected single 'Live Not Fantasize' – which premiered via SiriusXM Liquid Metal upon its release alongside Diamond Rowe’s Jackson Guitars signature launch – thrill with intense electronic flourishes, quick riffage and dynamic, spine-tingling guitar solos. Tracks like album opener 'Anything Like Myself' showcase the hypnotising, crushing metallic brilliance of the band while flirting with Josh Fore’s intense screams and Ruben Limas’ punching drums, while the likes of “Best Of' Luck' stand tall with the rhythmic basslines of Ryan “Dooms” Lerner and Rowe’s inventive riff artistry. Profound melodic bangers like 'Erase' and 'Cold' are injected with intricate guitar solos, while 'Headspace' and 'The Only Thing I’ve Got' thrust the vital, brooding elements of TETRARCH into the forefront. Each track succeeds with lyrical themes of facing our own darkest criticisms – embracing the healing notion that what we feel others may see as our worst traits actually define the greatest aspects of our individuality.

Metal is practically begging for its next wave of genre frontrunners, and with one listen it’s clear – TETRARCH lead the charge.

Imperial Triumphant release new single ft. Dave Lombardo and Tomas Haake

On 21st March, avant-death metal trio Imperial Triumphant will release their sixth full-length, Goldstar, via Century Media Records. Their most instant and evocative work to-date, Goldstar reins in their musical wanderlust with a newfound focus that the band have only hinted at with past works.

For a preview of the record, the new single 'Pleasuredome' (featuring the ominous spoken vocals of Tomas Haake, plus drumming legend Dave Lombardo) can be heard here: https://imperialtriumphant.lnk.to/Goldstar-AlbumPR

Watch the video, directed by Brendan McGowan, here https://youtu.be/cPzQ9wsYT0Q

Imperial Triumphant comment: "Journey into sensuality and primal desire, where the flesh becomes a temple, and the hunt for passion unfolds like an ancient ritual. The 'bell rings out', a summoning call to transcend ordinary pleasures and enter the 'Pleasuredome', a place where the divine and the animalistic merge."

Pre-order Goldstar in various formats now at: https://ImperialTriumphant.lnk.to/Goldstar-AlbumPR

Imperial Triumphant will be touring the UK and Europe this autumn, supporting Igorrr. Fans worldwide can expect a gilded mask-lift when Imperial Triumphant returns to the stage; new masks and an upgraded show will be part of their live experience with Goldstar and beyond.

UK dates:

Oct 21, 2025: Bristol (UK) - Crane Bristol
Oct 22, 2025: London (UK) - Shepherd's Bush Empire

With their upcoming release, Goldstar, the masked triumvirate Imperial Triumphant continue their exploration of the urban and arcane. The band have found inspiration in the sound of metal pushed to its darkest extremes, gilded, art deco temples, and looming cityscapes. Recorded in early 2024 with longtime collaborator and producer, Colin Marston (Gorguts, Krallice), as the final project recorded at Marston's Menegroth Studios in Queens, the album was done in a breakneck five days. "As we recorded the final tracks, the experience felt like the universe was aligning," the band observe. "Colin, who is basically a fourth member of the band to us, held space for this transformative moment, offering his incredible artistry and expertise, which only deepened the connection we had to the music. The sound that we captured in that sacred space was the crystallization of everything we've worked for, and the memories of those sessions will resonate within us for years to come. Music exists as a force beyond the infinite."

The band have already set the stage for the upcoming album with the release of two powerful stand-alone single 'Hope Terminator' and 'Condemnesia'.  The new tracks offer a fierce preview of what lies ahead, showcasing the band’s signature intensity and skill.

Biographyte takes an immersive dive into Cytotoxin's musical roots, guiding listeners through the irradiated ruins of Pripyat. Each song is devoted to a key location, intricately weaving a biographical narrative around the lives impacted by the Chernobyl disaster. The album's artwork serves as a potent visual metaphor, symbolising humanity's eternal burden in the wake of the reactor’s devastation. The title track poignantly honours the bravery of the firefighters who risked their lives to clear radioactive debris in the immediate aftermath, suffering irreparable harm,a tragedy that claimed many lives. Biographyte is more than just an album; it’s a haunting tribute to history’s darkest moments and the sacrifices made in their wake.

Biographyte was recorded by Kohle and Daniel at Kohlekeller Studios, with mixing and mastering handled by Mendel bij de Leij at Mendel Audio. The album’s striking artwork was created by German Latorres of Hostile Tattoos, capturing the haunting and intense themes of the record.

On the fateful night of 26 April, 1986, the explosion at the Chernobyl power plant altered the course of history, leaving an indelible mark on the world. Drawing inspiration from this catastrophic event, the German death metal band Cytotoxin was born in 2010, bringing a level of intensity that would forever redefine the genre. Combining intricate, brutal riffs with a focus on the devastating consequences of the reactor disaster, the band quickly garnered attention within the scene. Their debut album, Plutonium Heaven (2011), was a force to be reckoned with, followed by Radiophobia (2012), which led to a three-album deal with the renowned Unique Leader Records.

Cytotoxin soon became known for their ferocious live performances and unparalleled precision, establishing themselves as a cornerstone of the technical death metal community. With Gammageddon (2017), they cemented their place in the genre, while Nuklearth (2020) showcased their expansive creativity and songwriting evolution. Following several successful European tours, major festival appearances and their U.S. and Canadian debut in November 2024, Cytotoxin now stand poised to push further into new territories with their latest singles, Hope Terminator and Condemnesia.

As their unrelenting sound continues to spread across the globe, keep your gas mask ready, the radiation is here to stay.
