Belgian psychedelic post-metal masters Psychonaut return with news of their highly-anticipated new album World Maker.
World Maker is due 24th October via Pelagic Records - and, in celebration of the news, the trio have unveiled the first glimpse of the record, with single 'Endless Currents'.
Watch the video for 'Endless Currents' here (premieres 18:00 BST 12th June): https://youtu.be/x2lxwwzkLCM
Pre-order World Maker and stream 'Endless Currents' here: https://orcd.co/psychonaut-worldmaker
The traditional, three-piece line up of Belgian, psychedelic post-metal collective Psychonaut has long belied the compositional prowess, captivating narrative depth and crushing live presence of a band now operating at the forefront of forward-thinking, contemporary heavy music.
A record born of insurmountable joy and simultaneous profound loss; World Maker marks a time of great change for Psychonaut, both personally and musically, as the band burn away the philosophical narrative complexities of previous offerings with a searing, panoramic clarity that implores us to savour the beauty of the now as a means of leaving a legacy for the future.
The seed of World Maker took shape just as the campaign for previous record Violate Consensus Reality came to a close, with the news that guitarist/vocalist Stefan De Graef was to become a father. This tilting of life’s axis led De Graef, like most fathers-to-be, to re-assess what was really important. As such, the music he was inspired to write felt free of the band’s previous philosophical and spiritual foundations and instead took the form of life lessons for his unborn son, a legacy of love in case something were ever to happen.
This hopeful euphoria shines keenly throughout World Maker as an uncharacteristically optimistic warmth; from the reverberating Rhodes organ on the titular opening track and the meandering, free-jazz inspired guitar solo that introduces ‘Everything Else is Just The Weather’ to elements of world music, electronica and the otherworldly voice of Dutch multi-instrumentalist and old friend Anthe Huybrechts (Anthe/Helion Creek) most notably on tracks like ‘Origins’ which also features tabla, a pair of indian hand drums, as its propulsive heartbeat.
Whilst Psychonaut’s giant riffs, punishing polyrhythms and guttural vocal rage are more resplendent than ever, there is a wider dynamic spectrum to World Maker that sees the band proudly exploring their more delicate, intimate extremes as well as their most aggressive and abrasive. Not long after the birth of De Graef’s son came the devastating news that both his own father and Psychonaut bassist/vocalist Thomas Michiels’ father had been diagnosed with advanced cancers. Living day-to-day and torn between joy and grief, the band found themselves shedding the grand scope and world-shattering agenda of Violate Consensus Reality to focus on the here and now.
Lead single ‘Endless Currents’, the first full track on the album, explodes in a barrage of staccato guitar tapping but mellows to let the powerful, newly pared back lyrics ring out as a call to embrace the flow and follow joy. The song’s final few words ‘Lead the way. / Soar. / Everlong.’ double as both a greeting and a goodbye as the trio build their formidable post-metal might to a thunderous breaking point.
Amidst such turbulent times, the band found strength and support within their post-metal community. The album was recorded and produced by the band alongside their long-time collaborator and close friend Chiaran Verheyden (Hippotraktor) with help and advice from Psychonaut’s live engineer Victor, who will no doubt make this album sound just as awesome on stage. Even the artwork for World Maker was a family affair, being designed by close friend Sam Coussens of Belgian cosmic sludge metallers Pothamus.
In the face of life’s soaring highs and desolate lows, World Maker is direct and brave without sacrificing any of Psychonaut’s raw power, creative innovation or inimitable musical depth. Where their previous full-length offerings have charted grand introspective courses through time and space, World Maker is breathtaking in its uncompromising clarity: a father singing to his newborn son as a son bids his own father farewell.
Having sent a shockwave through the post-metal and prog scenes with their three times repressed Pelagic Records debut Unfold The God Man in 2020 before following it up with the transformative metaphysical complexities of 2022’s Violate Consensus Reality, Psychonaut have played prestigious Belgian open-air festivals like Alcatraz, Rock Herk and Boomtown Festival as well as boutique events such as Soulcrusher, Roadburn Redux and A Colossal Weekend whilst sharing stages across Europe with the likes of Amenra, Brutus and Pelagic labelmates The Ocean and PG.Lost.

Profiler are thrilled to release their highly anticipated new single 'Waste', continuing to redefine nu-metal. Following the success of 2024’s debut album, A Digital Nowhere (SharpTone Records), the band is busy in the studio working on its successor.
About the powerful and dynamic single 'Waste', vocalist Mike shares: “'Waste' is a track that discusses the theme of manipulation within relationships. It’s based around discovering your own self-worth from the stillness within. We tend to overlook the external environment which creates suffering. It is only when we have suffered enough, we finally realise everything we are seeking is already within ourselves.”

Following the chaos of their last two singles, Tallah return today with 'augmented' - a brutal, groove-heavy offering that throws back to their nu-core roots while flexing the wild experimentation that defines their upcoming album Primeval: Obsession // Detachment, out 5th September via Earache Records.
Stream 'augmented' here: https://earache.lnk.to/augmented
Watch the video to 'augmented' here: https://youtu.be/0A98cl_rwkQ
Pre-order Primeval: Obsession // Detachment here: earache.com/tallah
Max Portnoy comments: "In the studio, we wanted to use Josh's VHS camera to film some cool content, and we decided on 'augmented', as it was the first song we jammed together as a unit for this session. It was the song that really got us situated and in the right headspace for this record, so it made sense to film the studio video of this track."
He continues: "Probably the most ‘nu-core’ track on the record. It feels very reminiscent of where we came from but still steps into the sonic world of Primeval, with acoustic guitars and live strings at points. The experimentation is sprinkled on every song this album. I also wrote ‘augmented’ at the peak of my slap bass interest, and it made for the most intricate bass track in our discography. So many weird techniques crammed into this one. It’s a bitch to play."
The new track is Tallah at their most rhythmically unhinged—toggling between jagged grooves, acoustic breaks, and dense basswork that cements Max’s evolution as one of heavy music’s most creative rhythmic masterminds. Paired with Justin Bonitz’s raw, one-take vocal performance and a recording process that scrapped all editing and click tracks, 'augmented' captures the primal, chaotic energy that’s earned the band over 29.7 million Spotify streams and 66 million YouTube views to date.
Like its predecessors 'What we know' and 'A primeval detachment', 'augmented' also ties directly into the album’s layered sci-fi narrative. The concept follows two characters, Ana and Sheelah, on a morally destructive journey across an alien world. Fans can dive deeper into the lore through The Primeval Game, a playable story-world that’s updated monthly with new clues, song teasers, and narrative expansions. Explore the game, built in collaboration with Enzo Interactive at primevalgame.com.
Primeval: Obsession // Detachment arrives 5th September via Earache Records. Tracked completely live with no edits or safety nets, it’s Tallah’s most dangerous and defining work to date.
Primeval: Obsession // Detachment is a concept album rooted in narrative and boundless in scope. Set on an alien planet, it follows Ana, a nurse, and Sheelah, an assassin—two strangers pushed to the brink of their morality by the same mysterious group of beings. Their journeys spiral through tests of belief, identity, and loyalty, building toward a finale laced with twists, dualities, and mirrored consequences.
Architect of the exceptional and intricate world-building Tallah have become known for on each of their albums, vocalist Justin Bonitz shares: “Primeval: Obsession // Detachment is a concept album taking place on an alien planet. The story follows two characters, Ana (a nurse) and Sheelah (an assassin). Both are approached by the same group of beings, who ask the main characters to each perform a task that will test their values and push their morals to the limit before ending with twist after twist. The album explores morality, duty, personal beliefs, duality, and understanding one's place in society.”
Tracked live in Michigan with longtime producer Josh Schroeder, the record captures Tallah in their purest, most unhinged form. No click. No edits. No polish. Just instinct and execution. It also sees founding member, Max Portnoy, making a major creative shift from drums to bass and Justin recording the vocals for the whole album in one, continuous take.
Providing further context, Max shares: “For me, this album is Tallah finding our voice. During the writing process, no boxes were in place. No rules were set. Whatever felt uniquely us, that was what made the cut. I'm not sure how to even label this record's sound beyond 'Tallah'. It's weird. It's experimental. It's driving, and energetic. It's raw. We recorded live, every instrument at the same time, with no click. That's how we play shows, so why would we record differently? This album also marks my first recording dedicated to bass. I translated my drum knowledge to a new instrument and it was a huge creative breath of fresh air for me.”
For vocalist Justin Bonitz, the experience was equally intense. "I practiced for months and was able to record the entire album in one huge, continuous take with no edits or redos or anything! And I was recovering from pneumonia! Nobody is gonna believe me! It was honestly the highlight of my entire vocal career. I was unsure if I could pull it off, but I went into the booth, grabbed an SM57, turned off the lights, and whatever happened happened. I think it feels more intimate and naked with all the flaws and imperfections, which is perfect for the raw, organic sound of this album."
From mirrored track titles to reversed riffs, Primeval: Obsession // Detachment is Tallah at their most deliberate and deranged. It’s a labyrinthine listen made for close listening and repeat immersion. As with everything they do, the chaos is crafted, and the madness is methodical.
Primeval: Obsession // Detachment arrives 5th September via Earache Records.
Emerging from Pennsylvania in 2018, Tallah fuse the percussive force of second-generation drummer-turned-bassist Max Portnoy with the unpredictable dexterity of vocalist and viral phenom Justin Bonitz and the phenomenal guitarist duo of Derrick Schneider and Alex Snowden to form a sound that’s part brutalist nu-metal, part theatrical meltdown, and entirely their own. What began as a raw homage to the early-2000s metal they were raised on—Slipknot, Korn, Linkin Park—has since evolved into something far stranger and far more singular.
After making waves with their 2020 debut Matriphagy, a twisted concept album soaked in trauma and noise, the band were hailed by Knotfest as delivering “one of the best metal releases of the year” and by Metal Hammer as “leading the charge on the new wave of nu-metal.” The follow-up, The Generation Of Danger (2022), saw them push their hybrid sound further into chaos—earning millions of streams, high-profile festival slots, and nominations at both the Heavy Music Awards and AIM Independent Music Awards.
But it’s on album three, Primeval: Obsession // Detachment (out 5th September 2025 via Earache Records), that Tallah truly shatter what’s left of the mould. Decamping to Michigan to record the entire project live with longtime producer Josh Schroeder, the band abandoned edits, clicks, backing tracks, and rules. What remains is pure instinct—feral, volatile, and unrelentingly human.
To date, Tallah have clocked up 29.7 million Spotify streams and 6 million YouTube views.

Swedish metalcore heavyweights ADEPT continue their triumphant return unleashing the heartfelt and groovy hook-laden new anthem 'YOU' alongside an official music video. Following the release of their crushing comeback single 'Heaven', which marked their first new music in nearly nine years, 'YOU' dives deep into the emotional wreckage of love lost, with swelling, cathartic guitar leads and honest, bleeding heart lyricism.

The band first re-emerged in 2024 with a breathtaking live appearance at Core Fest in Stuttgart, Germany, igniting the stage, and thrilling fans with a powerful display of fury and fire. Now with two new singles under their comeback belt, ADEPT has their foot on the gas, and show no signs of slowing.
The band comment: “‘YOU’ is a classic breakup song built around the lingering ‘what if’ - a reflection on love, loss, and how time eventually swallows everything. It’s probably our most accessible track so far, combining a catchy topline with heavy riffs in a way that still feels true to our sound. We had a lot of fun experimenting with new elements on this one, and we’re incredibly proud of how it turned out.”
This new visual arrives on the heels of ADEPT’s recent announcement of their 20 Year Anniversary Tour, marking two decades of explosive live shows and heavy-hitting anthems. The tour features an extensive run across major cities in Europe and the UK, kicking off in Berlin, Germany on 27th November.
UK dates:

On their sixth studio album, the band return with a darker, more thunderous brew diving headfirst into the themes of medieval persecution, religious oppression, and the unbreakable spirit of resistance. Featuring 12 brand-new tracks, the album marks a bold new era: forged in the flames of power/heavy metal, sharpened by anthemic songwriting and epic instrumentation.
This first single breaks open the gates with a tempest of high-energy power metal, as thunderous bass lines, pounding drums and twin guitars dripping in witchery support Laura Guldemond’s hair-raising vocals, channeling raw emotion and groove.
The band comment on the single: "We are happy to present you with this epic, classic heavy song full of depth and occult moments that go straight under your skin! From a dark time of mankind, this song was composed with respect to all blood that this time has poured. ‘Inquisition’ will stay as a song that moves our engine with power to do more and more..."
Catch the band in the UK on the following dates:
23.01.26 London - The Dome UK
24.01.26 Birmingham - The Asylum UK
25.01.26 Manchester - Academy 3 UK
When Burning Witches take the stage, the world trembles beneath their firestorm of heavy metal might! Following the classic heavy metal tones of their previous record, The Dark Tower (2023), Inquisition delivers tight production and an unrelenting onslaught of burning riffs, crushing drums, and vocal sorcery, driven by producers Damir Eskic (Destruction) and V.O. Pulver (Little Creek Studio, Pro-Pain, Destruction), and shaped by the songwriting of founding guitarist Romana Kalkuhl.
With Inquisition, Burning Witches unleash their most focused and ferocious album yet, honoring classic heavy metal roots while diving into darker, more powerful territory. From mystical ballads to breakneck shred-fests, the album channels both the sacred and profane, the melodic and the menacing - a testament to a band unafraid to evolve, fight, and enchant.
"As we celebrate our 10 Year Anniversary in 2025, I am very happy as well to announce our sixth album with pride and satisfaction. I am extremely happy to start the next chapter of our metal journey with my girls. The album Inquisition is for those of you who are into legends like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Slayer. Full of power, melodies, double bass drums, heavy riffs and speedy guitar solos, Inquisition is not only our style and lifestyle, it's our life! From the beginning to the end, it's the best of us,” Romana Kalkuhl comments.
"We and our label Napalm Records are a huge supporter of vinyl records, so with passion and joy we chose some great editions to add to your collectables. Now it’s your time to pick your Inquisition!"

Orbit Culture return from the frozen north with a new album and their first with Century Media Records that is aptly titled Death Above Life, due for a release on 3rd October 2025. After braving a storm with the first single 'The Tales Of War', Orbit Culture take a bold step out of debilitating twilight with the next single and album title track 'Death Above Life'.
Once again produced by Riivata Visuals, watch the video here: https://youtu.be/4Z5KP0qRS3M
Pre-order Death Above Life here: https://orbitcultureband.lnk.to/DeathAboveLife-Album
”The album represents change, a new beginning,” says guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Niklas Karlsson. “It brings up a lot of good and bad emotions but it’s a big change for the better. It feels like a rebirth.”
On the new single, the band comment: “Our next song is the title track of the album - ‘Death Above Life’. While the first single, ‘The Tales Of War’, acted as a bridge to the next chapter, this one kicks the doors wide open. It’s darker, heavier, and leans into a more horror-driven side of Orbit Culture. Lyrically, it reflects a choice: when faced with the idea of continuing down a path surrounded by the wrong people, we sometimes know that we have to cut ties. It is not literally about choosing death but walking away from what is holding us back. ‘Death Above Life’ is about letting go of what no longer fits to make space for something real. It will see the light of day for the very first time at Download Festival."
Having just concluded the Poisoned Ascendancy EU/UK tour supporting the mighty Trivium & Bullet For My Valentine, Orbit Culture show no sign of slowing down as they embark on a number of summer dates, including festivals and supporting In Flames on selected shows:
15 June 25 (UK) Donington - Download Festival
17 June 25 (FR) Toulouse – w/ In Flames
18 June 25 (FR) Lyon – w/ In Flames
19 June 25 (BE) Dessel - Graspop Metal Meeting
20 June 25 (DE) Leipzig – w/ In Flames
26 June 25 (NO) Oslo - Tons Of Rock
28 June 25 (FIN) Helsinki - Tuska
13 October 25 (J) Loud Park Japan
Hailing from the small town of Eksjö, Sweden (located between the revered metal cities of Gothenburg and Stockholm), the quartet (guitarist and vocalist Niklas Karlsson, guitarist Richard Hansson, bassist Fredrik Lennartsson and drummer Christopher Wallerstedt) have grown into a global force, melding together riffs that are equal parts thrash, death metal and industrial with arresting hooks and a layered atmosphere that invites comparison to Gojira, Metallica and Static-X while carving out something that is uniquely their own.
Orbit Culture’s 2023 album Descent and their subsequent EP release The Forgotten topped many year-end lists in 2023, including Metal Hammer who described the album as: “a formidable entwining of modern metal’s most effective and exciting strands into an impressive milestone.” Exhaustive worldwide touring and a steady stream of crowd-pummeling festival slots across the globe, have set the stage for something much larger.
Orbit Culture are a band poised. They are the sound of metal in the most modern sense.

Buckcherry have released new single 'Machine Gun', the fourth single from their upcoming eleventh studio album Roar Like Thunder, out this Friday, 13th June, via Earache Records.
Stream 'Machine Gun' here: https://earache.lnk.to/MachineGun
Pre-order the album from Earache here: http://earache.com/buckcherry
Vocalist Josh Todd commented on the single: "Shootin’ the good boys down. 'Machine Gun' is about a hot girl that only likes bad boys; growing up in Southern California as a teenager there was a lot of them."
On new the new album, he continues "We made a point on this record to have no ballads and no cover songs, Roar Like Thunder kicks ass and that’s pretty much it."
'Machine Gun' follows the release of previous singles 'Set It Free', 'Roar Like Thunder' and 'Come On'.
Roar Like Thunder was recorded in Nashville and produced by Marti Frederiksen, who also produced the band's prior two releases: Hellbound and Vol. 10. The album will be released in North America by Round Hill; in Japan by Sony Japan; and by Earache for the rest of the world.
The two-time GRAMMY-nominated band have created an album that's bursting at the seams with lightning-hot rock'n'roll. From the the horn-swelling swagger of 'I Go Boom' and the honey-dripping riffs of 'Blackout', to the AC/DC stomp of 'Come On' and the frantic runaway train rhythm of the title track, Roar Like Thunder sees a band that bring live rock'n'roll to the stage more days a year than the sun is seen in Britain, and set that energy off like a bottle rocket in the studio. The album was mastered by Anthony Focx (Metallica, Aerosmith).
