Lord Of The Lost continue their album trilogy with OPVS NOIR Vol. 2, due 12th December (Napalm Records)

Lord of the Lost continue their journey: on 12th December 2025, the genre-fluid six-piece will unveil the next chapter of their ongoing album trilogy with OPVS NOIR Vol. 2 (Napalm Records). This second part delves deeper into their melancholic take on unravelling their innermost selves and adds a hopeful new layer to the wonderfully dark panorama that was opened up by OPVS NOIR Vol. 1.

OPVS NOIR Vol. 2 adds another 11 songs to the trilogy and will be released in several editions, among them strictly limited collectibles.

Pre-order here: https://lnk.to/LOTL-OPVSNOIR

Following their enchantingly colourful 'Blood & Glitter', which earned them participation in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 and a #1 chart entry in their native Germany, Lord of the Lost reinvent themselves yet again. With OPVS NOIR Vol. 2, another 11 heartfelt songs join the three-part cycle, tying seamlessly into Vol. 1.

Once again produced by frontman Chris Harms in the historic Chameleon Studios, it is yet another stirring example of the Hamburg-based band’s unparalleled versatility. Opening with dark yet catchy 'The Fall From Grace', Lord of the Lost immediately showcases their way with grand ballroom choruses weaved into grave melodies that will continue to sit enthroned on all the varied tracks until the last note of the ballad 'Sharp Edges'.

Joining in are guests ranging from scene favourites to top-tier musicians outside the metal genre. First up is Infected Rain’s Lena Scissorhands, who refines the pitch-black 'Would You Walk With Me Through Hell?' with the full range of her fierce, yet fragile vocals. Similarly, Anna Brunner of rising melodic metal stars League Of Distortion and symphonic metal band Exit Eden lends her energetic voice to 'Please Break The Silence', inducing goosebumps - every talent is an important scene in OPVS NOIR’s grimly colorful movie for the ears. Unexpectedly, yet fittingly, Finnish rap artist KÄÄRIJÄ, runner-up at Eurovision 2023, turns 'Raveyard' into a dancefloor with a mix of industrial, gothic, and Finnish rap - as if heralding the dawn of a new genre. The most moving collaboration is the opulent 'What Have We Become', in which experimental artist IAMX meets Chris Harms for a cathartic duet.

Completely fearless, Lord of the Lost have long since playfully risen above genre conventions and expectations. OPVS NOIR Vol. 2 mercilessly opens new doors in the band’s musical palace, yet still feels 100% at home for fans from the very beginning!

A Killer's Confession reveal 'Heart Shaped Box' Nirvana cover

A Killer's Confession have unveiled their new single 'Heart Shaped Box', from their forthcoming album Victim 2, out 19th September via MNRK Heavy.

'Heart Shaped Box' is a cover from Nirvana that appeared on their final studio album In Utero.

In discussing the latest single, Waylon Reavis said, "I've always loved Nirvana. Kurt Cobain was a huge influence in my youth, and I felt that he helped shape the music that we create today and I wanted to do something that would honor his memory. We had been tossing around the idea of doing a cover song, but I needed it to fit into the concept. I felt like a 'Heart Shaped Box' was the right choice. So I thought to myself what if this was the song that was playing in the killer's head and maybe it's a song that started to change him for the better."

As the frontman and mastermind for A Killer's Confession, Waylon Reavis has delved into the light and dark sides of mankind on albums like The Indifference of Good Men and Unbroken. But it is his current Victim trilogy where he delves deeper into that concept and which truly lives up to the band’s name. The new Victim 2 (MNRK Heavy), the group’s fifth album, continues the story of a serial killer who wants to bring horrific criminals to justice. But, as he's learning, there are consequences for his misguided deeds, even if he thinks they are the right thing to do.

“I write this stuff for people to understand that we all have these thoughts,” Reavis says. “Like the devil's advocate – you’ve always got that devil on your shoulder, or that impulse, that little scratch on the side of your head that says, I want to do that. I've always been intrigued with that.”

After his booking agent Andrew Goodfriend planted the seed of the album’s concept in his mind, Reavis found further inspiration in the 2001 horror movie Frailty, in which the “God’s Hand” serial killer murders people that he believes to be demons and that he is doing God’s will. The antagonist of the Victim trilogy follows a similar path. In Victim 1, he went after people who had committed one of the Seven Deadly Sins, particularly those preying on young, innocent victims. In this sequel, he is reveling in his murder spree too much and faces a crisis of conscience.

Like the psyche of this album’s antagonist, the sonic realm of A Killer’s Confession is also split into two different worlds, but for artistic reasons. Guitarist/drummer Dusten “Dusty” Boles and vocal producer Evan McKeever are Reavis’ studio songwriting partners, while his touring band features different members. The frontman likes to oversee everything in the creative process of the band from the studio to the stage, and he works with the people he think will thrive in each environment and deliver the best work to the musical project.

“I don't like doing the same thing over and over,” Reavis admits. “I like to experiment. I like to try to invent something new, take something that you know and mix it with modern metal. I'm not trying to create a new genre, but I like to be challenged and hear new things. If it rings in the ears and it makes you bob your head, it's good. It don't matter what style it is. I think a true artist should be interested in expanding themselves and where they can do anything they want. That's where AKC really excels.”

Guitar maestro Connor Kaminski reveals new single 'Bloodline'

Renowned modern guitarist Connor Kaminski has revealed 'Bloodline', the second single from his debut LP Tapestry, due for release 5th September.

'Bloodline', which features Aleksandra Djelmash (Sordid Pink) can be streamed here: https://ffm.to/ckbloodline

And watch the video here: https://youtu.be/cKkYjlHV0jY

Pre-order Tapestry here: https://ffm.to/cktapestry

Connor comments: "Sometimes there's topics in music that you can convey without words, and sometimes there's topics you can't. 'Bloodline' is one of those, and it's a very personal track for me. It's all about not knowing my origin story, where I'm truly from, and not having much of a clue as to the origins of my name. It features one of my favourite vocalists, Alex Djelmash (Sordid Pink, Destiny Potato, David Maxim Micic), and she really shines and brings this track to life. I wanted her to be the focus, and I couldn't be happier with the final result. I think 'Bloodline' might just be my favourite track on the album."

Following hot on the heels of Connor's collaborative EP with KEYAN, Tapestry is a tour de force of progressive, technical guitar wizardry, featuring some of the scene's best and brightest - including Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater), Plini, Olly Steele (ex-Monuments), Tramaine, Aleksandra Djelmash (Sordid Pink), RO1 and strings sensation ThatViolaKid.

UK-based composer, producer, and technical guitar virtuoso Connor Kaminski has built a reputation for his intricate guitar work and innovative approach to modern prog metal. Influenced by Dream Theater, Devin Townsend, and Intervals, Connor has honed his craft as a guitarist and cultivated a strong following online. This growth helped him establish relationships with .strandberg*D’AddarioNeural DSPGetGood Drums, and even allowed him to design and release his dream signature guitar with .strandberg* at the young age of 27 last October.

Inspired by intricate guitar lines, extended song structures, and technical musicianship, Connor has crafted a modern take on the new wave of guitar music.

Inventive metalcore act Vianova stream new single 'Obsolete'

What begins smooth and mellow soon erupts into a powerful burst of energy, driven by Alexander Kerski’s (known from The Voice of Germany) standout vocal performance and the band’s explosive instrumental work that demands headbanging. It's an existential reflection on human value in a world shaped by automation, societal pressure, and emotional detachment.

Catch the band live:
14-17.08.2025 – Dinkelsbühl, Summer Breeze Festival
04-06.10.2025 – Köln, Euroblast Festival
07.02.2026 – Königsbrunn, Matrix (Raptor Metalcore Festival)

During the 2020 pandemic, Vianova reinvented their musical and visual identity, evolving their sound with the arrival of bassist Raoul Zillani. This new phase embraced a more technical, aggressive, and imaginative style, culminating in their EP Looking For... and the follow-up, ...A Way Out, released in 2023. These efforts garnered international attention and led to management by Lukas Magyar (Veil of Maya) in mid-2023. The band has since performed extensively across Germany, solidifying their position as a rising force in the metalcore genre.

Now back with fresh music, Vianova push their sound even further. This new chapter aims for a raw, fierce, and dynamic approach in both mixing and songwriting. Influences from genres outside metalcore - such as soul, jazz, R&B, and 80's synths - reflect their commitment to breaking genre boundaries. Accompanying this sonic evolution is a vibrant visual transformation, characterised by a focused and youthful energy that injects fun into a metalcore landscape often perceived as stagnant.

Eschalon stream new single 'Zealot'

Fast emerging tech-metalcore band Eschalon have released their new single / video, 'Zealot'. The band have also announced a UK tour supporting Still Remains on their Of Love and Lunacy 20th anniversary tour, with Devil Sold His Soul.

Produced by Jake Ten with additional footage by Luke Bateman and Robin "Dobbin" Thomas, watch the video here: https://youtu.be/RtzIJTDaOGY

Zealot is a blistering, high-energy aural assault that challenges the blind allegiance often demanded by faith and tradition. Relentless and unflinching, the track delivers groovy, pulse-pounding riffs and venomous vocals, to mould a raw and uncompromising intensity.

Lyrically, Zealot tears into the dangers of unquestioned belief systems, calling out the chains of indoctrination that are often fastened from birth. It's a furious examination of religious structures that demand obedience, suppress doubt, and vilify curiosity. The song pushes back against the notion of surrendering instincts to archaic doctrines, urging us to break free from blind faith and to question what we’ve been taught. Zealot scathingly flips dogma on its head, highlighting the hypocrisy and self-perpetuating cycles that can exist within rigid belief systems.

Zealot is a call to arms - a sonic revolt against the bindings, a challenge to escape the inherited masks we’re forced to wear, and a reminder that the truths we seek might not be in the heavens, but within ourselves.

Described as a visual and auditory onslaught, Eschalon’s presence both on and off the stage since their launch is undeniable; from their striking visuals, to their dynamic sound and immersive live experience, the band’s impact has been profound, racking up over 850,000 streams across platforms since their launch.

Earning multiple festival appearances, as well as securing touring slots with the likes of Still Remains, Hacktivist, Devil Sold His Soul & The Five Hundred across the UK, Eschalon’s momentum since their inception has seen the band gain trajectory as one of the most exciting new names in the metalcore space.

From Fall To Spring announce new album and stream single

After their charting debut Rise shattered expectations and racked up over 20 million Spotify streams, Germany's From Fall to Spring now step into a darker, more introspective realm with their sophomore record, Entry Wounds, out on September 26th via Arising Empire. The band have also unveiled new single 'Blood'.

Watch the video for 'Blood' here: https://youtu.be/2c7vNzORz1o

Pre-order Entry Wounds here: https://arisingempire.com/ffts

From Fall to Spring aren’t just another name in the modern metal scene - they’re one of its most forward-thinking and emotionally charged forces. Led by twin vocalists Philip and Lukas Wilhelm, the German outfit forge a sound that’s as unmistakable as it is uncompromising - a fusion of post-rock atmospheres, hip-hop-infused grooves, soaring hooks, and the sheer weight of metalcore’s punch. Where Rise looked outward, Entry Wounds turns its gaze inward.

“Our debut record was all about our interactions with the world and different kinds of people,” the band explains. Entry Wounds, on the other hand, is an inward journey. It deals with personal struggles and self-development.”

Each song on Entry Wounds is a fragment — a scar carved by memory, a flash of clarity amidst the static. Together, they weave a slow-burning narrative of letting go, reclaiming control, and finding the courage to heal. Before even announcing the album, the band dropped five singles in album order - 'Cast Away', 'Control', 'Come Alive', 'Take The Pain Away' and 'I Won't Come Back Down' - each capturing a distinct emotional phase of the story. Those tracks alone amassed over 5.5 million Spotify streams already, proving the resonance of From Fall to Spring’s message long before the full picture is revealed.

The newest single, 'Blood', acts as a turning point - and the official start of the Entry Wounds era. It’s a reminder that this is more than music; it’s a coded transmission from within the system, a place where trauma collides with the digital and the personal bleeds into the synthetic.

From Fall to Spring have grown sharper, bolder, and more confident than ever. Entry Wounds captures a band in full evolution — unafraid to be vulnerable, unafraid to hit harder than before. The system is active. The cloud is open. The world is not ready.

Catch From Fall to Spring live on Entry Wounds tour with support from Cyan Kicks and Letters Sent Home:

27.10.2025 UK-London, Downstairs At The Dome
28.10.2025 UK-Manchester, Night & Day Cafe

From Fall to Spring, a melodic new metal band from southwest Germany, began their musical journey with two self-produced EP's, A Better Tomorrow (2017) and Disconnected (2019), which quickly amassed over one million streams. Their breakout single 'Supernova' paved the way for their debut album RISE, which alone garnered over 11 million streams on Spotify and contributed to over 20 million streams across their entire discography. This rising success led to their signing with Arising Empire, one of Germany's premier rock and metal labels.

As part of this partnership, the band released five singles, each accompanied by its own music video, significantly boosting their visibility and digital presence. The lineup features twin brothers Philip and Lukas Wilhelm, alongside bandmates Simon Triem, Benedikt Veith, Sebastian Monzel, and León Arend. Their strong digital following includes over 108,000 TikTok followers and more than 38,000 on Instagram, further cementing their growing impact on the modern metal scene.

GAEREA sign to Century Media and unveil new single / video

Century Media Records is proud to announce the signing of Portugal’s GAEREA. With a decade behind them, cutting a swath through various shades of darkened metal, they’ve arrived, a beautiful enigma of passion and extremity.

To announce their signing, GAEREA have released their first new track with Century Media Records, 'Submerged', with its eye-mangling accompanying video: https://youtu.be/NpdWlHP_pns

The track, which was produced by the band and longtime collaborator, Miguel Tereso of Demigod Recordings, further entwines the thorny branches of musical and emotional possibility that the band has built a sizable reputation on, both live and on record.

Metal Hammer said of GAEREA’s 2024 album, Coma: “When they put their cloaked heads down, GAEREA indubitably delivers the goods. The dizzying speed and masterful changes in [songs like] 'World Ablaze' are majestic.”

GAEREA commented on signing with global metal powerhouse, Century Media: “A new era, a new home We are now part of the Century Media Records big family.”

GAEREA are currently working on their Century Media debut LP, due for release in early 2026. Recent months have seen them bringing their energised and expressionistic live show to stages all over Europe, headlining to sold out crowds as well as festivals including Czech’s Brutal Assault, Belgium’s Alcatraz and Germany's Summer Breeze. In October and November, GAEREA will join labelmates, Orbit Culture on the Swedish upstarts' headline tour of the UK and Europe for their upcoming Century Media debut, Death Above Life.

“We are excited to be working with GAEREA and their team,” states Century Media Vice President of A&R, Mike Gitter. “They are a rare band that transcends convenient genres and suggests something deeper on both musical, but also spiritual levels. In many ways, their story is just beginning.”

CONJURER will be touring Unself across the UK and Europe in November. UK dates will be supported by Pijn and Death Goals.

Nov 15 - Cathouse, Glasgow

Tickets available from: https://www.conjureruk.com/live

CONJURER will be joined by Frail Body across Europe. Full dates can be found at https://www.conjureruk.com/live

CONJURER have evolved radically since the release of their debut album (Mire, 2018), and their second release (Páthos, 2022) saw them lauded among the most exciting British metal bands. Whilst award nominations and accolades accumulated, the four-piece band retained their very simple mission: to make heavy music and have fun whilst doing so. Preferring to use their spotlight to showcase technicality and musicality rather than centring politics or opinions, CONJURER lived in the moment and embraced everything that came their way.

Within the tumult of forging a renewed identity as a band, on Unself there is a more intense, more personal voyage of discovery unfurling for vocalist/guitarist Dani Nightingale. Diagnosed with autism at age 31, their long-held view of self, and perception of their place in the world began to unravel. Unself documents much of the piecing back together around the diagnosis, alongside the realisation they were non-binary.

These vignettes of processing and self-actualisation take place against the backdrop of a society careening towards glassy-eyed capitalist dystopia; finding firm footing eludes many of us - and CONJURER delve headfirst into exploring these suffocating new societal parameters.

Within Unself's nine tracks, CONJURER deliver the writhing post-metal sound they’ve become known for, but have loosened their grip on the desire to fill every moment with sonic obliteration. Instead, they have leaned into utilising space, gifting listeners a little breathing room which serves to make the heavy elements feel all the more intense.

A more direct, organic approach to songwriting was facilitated by the ever-strengthening bonds within the band, and the supportive environment created by producer Joe Clayton. Allowing themselves more time than with any previous recording experience, they committed to preproduction sessions, followed by an elongated recording period in order to do justice to the material they had crafted. Stripping back the excesses of previous outings to reveal their solid songwriting chops allowed for more clarity and more dynamics to shine through. To their ears, the mood, the core of the lyrical content and the music are more aligned than ever before.

This record is the sound of four individuals living with more purpose and as a consequence creating with more purpose. Unself sees them reaching out to offer community, catharsis and connection. CONJURER remain true to their original mission - they’re still having fun, playing interesting heavy music - but now that music is imbued with the power that comes from opening themselves up to others, at first within the band, and now beyond.
