EXODUS have unleashed the colossal title track from their new album, Goliath, out 20th March via Napalm Records. Revealed today with an accompanying music video, 'Goliath' simmers the tempo down with winding, malevolent leads, towering drums and ominous string work from violinist Katie Jacoby, coupled with intricate guitars by the legendary Gary Holt.
Watch here: https://youtu.be/eLmYGNKGNuQ
Pre-order Goliath: https://lnk.to/Exodus-Goliath/napalmrecords
Even over 40 years after their debut, EXODUS are steadfast in their refusal to settle for the safety of mediocrity and continue to forge their trademark just as resolutely as they did in their fruition. The band's highly anticipated 12th studio album is their most multifaceted offering so far, featuring several epic collaborations and marking the return of Rob Dukes as lead vocalist.
EXODUS on 'Goliath':
"'Goliath' may quite possibly be the heaviest thing we have ever done, and certainly the slowest song in our catalogue, as close to doom metal as Exodus can get! Just pure evil, as sinister as it gets, featuring our friend Katie Jacoby, who laid down 18 tracks of strings in the middle harmony section, making the song go from just pure horror to a thing of beauty."
Flurried dueling solos, an isolated bass excursion, rigorous drum dexterity and a blend of both gritty vocal passages and cutting chants combine to serve as yet another prime example of the band’s ever-evolving musical mastery.
Produced by EXODUS, mixed and mastered by Mark Lewis (Whitechapel, Nile, Undeath), Goliath beams with the explosive authenticity that has set EXODUS eons apart from their peers since the release of their debut, 1985’s groundbreaking thrash blueprint Bonded By Blood. 40 years later, EXODUS are steadfast in their refusal to settle for the safety of mediocrity, fearing nothing and no one and continuing to forge their trademark just as resolutely as they did in their fruition.
EXODUS comment on new album Goliath: “Are we excited for this record? That’s an understatement. We put everything we had into this record (and it’s 80 percent complete follow up, but we’ll save that conversation for another day!) and it’s one of our proudest accomplishments. Wildly collaborative, the most band centric album to date with four songs written by Lee, lyrics by Gary, Rob, Lee and Tom, and just killer all the way around. The time to let the monster loose is coming! Bow Down!”
Goliath wastes no time proving as massive as its name, with a sinister introduction opening '3111'. Ode to owning one’s own volatility 'Hostis Humani Generis' features a palpable lyrical delivery from Rob Dukes that cuts like crystal amid frenetic riffs, before rolling into 'The Changing Me'. The track’s introductory notes cascade into hair-raising rhythms, forming one of the band’s most anthemic offerings – blending menace and melody with the cleans of guest Peter Tägtgren (Hypocrisy, Pain) together with Tom Hunting and at the end both Peter and Robb scream off the song.
Harmonic dual axe acrobatics from resident guitar legends Gary Holt and Lee Altus. 'Promise You This' incites mosh pit treachery with explosive energy, cyclonic riffs and turbocharged soloing from Holt and Altus, prior to colossal title track 'Goliath' simmering the tempo down with winding, malevolent leads, towering drums and ominous string work from Katie Jacoby coupling with intricate guitars.
The album standout showcases the band’s ever-increasingly dynamic approach, even decades into their historic reign. Tracks like 'Beyond The Event Horizon' and '2 Minutes Hate' provide EXODUS’ trademark deadly dose of thrash theatricality – the latter boasting one of the album’s most grimacing, grooving pit primers – while undeniably 90s-tinged metallic charm attacks alongside drummer Tom Hunting and bassist Jack Gibson’s unmistakable rhythmic rage on tracks like 'Violence Works'.
The nearly eight-minute epic 'Summon Of The God Unknown' turns the danger dial to max capacity, setting the stage with a wicked introductory passage before traversing a variegated passage of trudging riffs and heavy metal melody. Power packed closer 'The Dirtiest Of The Dozen' wraps the album on a manic high, showcasing EXODUS pulling out all the stops on all instruments.
EXODUS are touring the world extensively in 2026. First off with Megadeth and Anthrax in Canada in February and March, then Europe with Kreator, Carcass and Nails in March and April. The band then tour the US and Canada with Sepultura in April and May.

Equal Vision Records, Dine Alone Records, Rude Records and The Flatliners are excited to announce the Friday 8th May release of Cold World, the longstanding, Juno-nominated Canadian punk quartet’s brand new studio album.
Pre-order/pre-save-pre-add the record here: https://flatliners.lnk.to/cold-world
While 2022's New Ruin was preoccupied with the inherited damages of the last generation, Cold World sees that legacy for what it is - a ghost, a fading memory. If New Ruin was about the rage of realisation, now we're damned with the aftermath of clarity. Welcome to the future.
Leading the collection is the single 'Good, You?', a snotty, tongue-in-cheek offering that successfully skewers the topic of toxic masculinity and the irrational fear we all seem to share of talking about our feelings.
Watch the music video for 'Good, You?' directed by Jeff Powers, here: https://youtu.be/MMPtii8dWkI
Stream here: https://flatliners.lnk.to/good
The band had the following to share about the video: “We wanted to pay homage to the greatest era of music videos we have ever known — the one we grew up in. Our aim was to make a ‘90s-style video, portraying the album artwork in all its glory; to bring things back to a time where you could suspend disbelief and just let your eyes and ears devour those next three minutes. With the help of our amazing cast and crew, we achieved just that. A piece of nowstalgia that feels like it has a strong foot in the past, and another firmly planted in the present.”
Maybe the greatest resistance that any artist can offer today is the radical act of stability — the same four people, friends since they were kids, playing music together because they have been compelled to for nearly their entire lives, 24 years and counting.
Cold World, the brand new studio album from Canadian punk veterans The Flatliners, is the sound of a band free to make what they want with the people they want to make it with, to try to carve out some space to demonstrate a different way of doing things - a space where bands share credit equally, where friends grow and work together over decades, a space where stability is the reward for sticking to your vision.
That vision has evolved into a consistent confidence that gives The Flatliners the freedom to experiment with the edges of their sound while grounded by each other, locking out the decay of the world outside. The band fought through the fire of their last record only to find a landscape of debasement and erasure, and an increasingly cold world for all of us to live in.
The textures of Cold World itself are anything but comfortable and familiar. The band’s airtight foundation of bassist Jon Darbey and drummer Paul Ramirez continues to drive with a learned, casual urgency on rippers like 'Inner Peace' and 'Burn', while Chris Cresswell and Scott Brigham deploy the controlled chaos of their shredding two-guitar attack, enveloping the listener on songs like 'Pulpit' and 'Whyte Light'. As the album ends, we may be drifting out into darkness. But if we’re lucky, we can choose who we drift with.

After exploring water, fire and darkness GAEREA chase the light in a freezing world with their new single and video, 'Nomad'.
“The Nomad is the individual who goes through life at a constant moving pace just to avoid facing oneself—physically drifting, but emotionally running from guilt, self-doubt, and a fear of becoming something to despise. At its core, it’s a confession of alienation: a nomad not by choice, but by self-punishment and inner collapse”, says the band about the new single and video.
Watch 'Nomad (Official Video)' here [premieres at 5pm GMT]: https://youtu.be/OL-aRFJohIA
The single follows the group's previous efforts, 'Submerged', the mighty 'Hellbound', and 'Phoenix'.
For a deep dive into GAEREA’s mysterious, masked universe don’t miss the first episode of their documentary, 'Metamorphosis – Shaping The Unknown – Part I': https://youtu.be/CeIkCosdlls
GAEREA are nothing short of a beautiful enigma rooted in musical extremity and utter passion. In under a decade, the masked collective, born in the Portuguese town of Porto, have navigated countless darkened shades of metal to arrive at their fifth album and Century Media debut, Loss.
Loss is the sound of GAEREA continuing to define and redefine itself, incorporating elements of the band’s post-black metal past with the sharpened sonics and haunting melodies. It finds GAEREA emerging from creative chrysalis and bursting into something as engaging as it is unexpected: There’s singing. There are choruses as catchy and passionate as the best rock and metal songs. Yet, through the emotionally charged din, it’s unmistakably GAEREA.
Recent months have seen GAEREA bringing their energised and expressionistic live show to stages all over Europe, headlining to sold out crowds as well as festivals including Czech’s Brutal Assault, Belgium’s Alcatraz and Germany's Summer Breeze.
GAEREA will perform Loss in its entirety at the following two exclusive release shows:

London-based alt-rock band Wildernesses have unveiled their latest single, ‘Summertime, 1917’, ahead of their debut album Growth, out 27th March via Floodlit Recordings.
The new single explores love and loss, telling the story of two male soldiers in World War One, seen through the eyes of a modern narrator who discovers their love letters while renovating a deceased loved ones house.
The accompanying video is quintessential Wildernesses DIY, directed and filmed by vocalist Phillip Morris and guitarist Sam Howe. Phillip explains: "I filmed around my home town over six months, often jumping out of the car when the light was right or fog drifted across a field. Filming over time allowed contrasts between spring and winter, light and dark, linking to the lyric: ‘The back end of May, blossom was falling and you slipped from the present tense’.”
Sam contributed drone footage from Sussex during walks with his dogs, Mikey and Spud, adding a triumphant lift to the final chorus.

Vocalist Phillip Morris comments on the new single: "I based the lyrics on a poem I wrote the year after my mum died of Motor Neurone Disease (MND). I wanted to explore the conflicting feelings I had at that time, the process of acceptance, finding reasons that everything would be OK, even as death is final. Caring for her was a privilege that allowed me to know her more deeply but I also witnessed the cruel loss of movement that ended in her death.
"I never renovated her house but the imagery of reworking a space appealed to me. The song's lyrics aimed to reflect on social issues in a literary way, rather than an overtly political way. We all know war is bad; my aim was to zoom in on two singular stories across time and make the listener feel them, rather than just consider a message.
"At the time of writing it I was working as a social worker at a hospice in Hull and wanted to capture the joy and pain of speaking with elderly patients. Ageism often goes unspoken and older generations have lived experiences that younger people can only imagine. I wanted to highlight the privilege of uncovering hidden stories that are real and untold.
"Musically, Wildernesses aim to bridge post-rock and pop structures. The second half of the track evolves into a repeated motif that serves as the narrator’s self-reflective mantra and hook, opening up as he finishes reading the letters and processes his emotions.”
'Summertime, 1917' is the fourth single to be taken from the band’s forthcoming debut album, Growth. Previous singles 'Four Hour Drive', 'English Darkness' and 'Maintenance' have drawn widespread critical acclaim for their cinematic scope and understated intensity, establishing Wildernesses’ defining balance of haze and melody. 'Four Hour Drive' offered a tender reflection on family, lineage and inherited memory, inspired by a 1957 photograph of Morris’s father and grandfather, while 'English Darkness' confronted mental health with brooding urgency, its stark visuals filmed on Hull’s Sunk Island flats under the direction of Stewart Baxter, know for his previous work with bands such as IDLES. 'Maintenenace' explored the quiet, obsessive routines that structure daily life, blending introspective lyricism with swelling, atmospheric instrumentation. With ‘Summertime, 1917’, Wildernesses continue to expand their folk tales, marrying historical reflection with intensely personal storytelling.
Emerging as modern day narrators cloaked in atmospheric alt-rock, Wildernesses conjure emotive landscapes that feel at once expansive and deeply human. Their music occupies liminal territory, between memory and imagination, heaviness and tenderness, despair and quiet hope, offering cinematic soundscapes that linger long after the final notes fade.
Formed almost by accident and featuring members of bands such as Late Night Fiction, Earth Moves and We Never Learned To Live, Wildernesses bring together Phillip Morris (vocals, guitar), Ryan Browne (drums), Mark Portnoi (bass) and Sam Howe (guitar), each carrying their own “wilderness” of lived experience, Hull and Humber riverside grit, East London streets, West Sussex roots, woven into a singular sonic and narrative tapestry. At the heart of the band, Morris’s lyrics act as modern folk tales, shaped by his work as a mental health professional, shaped by loss and survival and the understated strength found in ordinary lives.
With a sound that draws from the wide-eyed ambience of Explosions in the Sky, the fragile intensity of Bon Iver, the brooding restraint of The National, the dreamlike haze of Slowdive and the narrative urgency of La Dispute. Their name reflects the terrains they explore, interior wildernesses of memory, grief and reflection, wild, unkempt, sometimes bleak yet undeniably beautiful.
Growth spans nine tracks, seven lyrical, two instrumental, each a chapter in a story cycle that charts the human experience: insomnia, solitary escapism, forbidden desire, family heritage and hidden histories unearthed from the past. Recorded at No Studio in Manchester with producer Joe Clayton (Conjurer, Mastiff, Bossk), the album balances sweeping, cinematic textures with meticulously crafted, intimate detail. From shimmering post-rock crescendos to hushed, reflective passages, Growth captures the layered complexity and haunting nuance that defines Wildernesses’ sound.
Commenting on the album, Phillip adds: "Growth is the result of over two years of writing, refining and learning together as a band. The title reflects both life’s way of shaping us and our own journey as a group, with a playful nod to my obsession with houseplants, the cover photo of them in my bath tied the themes of growth, texture and everyday life together. We’d never met before this project and now we’re close friends, having navigated highs, lows and the intense process of making a record that truly captures what we intended. Recorded with Joe Clayton at NO Studio in Manchester, the sessions were incredible; his calm, thoughtful approach helped shape the album’s sound and feel. Thematically, Growth aims to be real and emotive, joyful and morose all at once. It’s a huge milestone for us, and we can’t wait for people to hear it, feel the vinyl in their hands and connect with the stories in the tracks."
In a world that moves relentlessly forward, Wildernesses invite listeners to pause, breathe and step into the slow orbit of memory, into modern folk tales told through guitars, voices and textures that are at once personal and universal and where loss, tenderness, and quiet endurance coexist in equal measure.
To mark the release of Growth, Wildernesses will carry these songs from the studio into live rooms across the country, touring throughout March. Each performance offers a shared moment as the album’s quiet pull and gradual release are brought to life in real time. Live dates are listed below.

Their first full-length offering in six years - along with being the band’s most expansive and textural album to date - THE HORROR SHOW is a collection of songs forged in grief, courage, and the refusal to stand still. Written largely in the wake of frontman Vinnie Caruana’s profound personal loss, the album explores friendship, mortality, love, and resilience with a deeper emotional weight than ever before, all while embracing total creative freedom.
Leading the set is the album’s title track, an intensely intimate song that details the act of grieving and an altered worldview as a result of a dear friend’s passing. “Immeasurable loss is something all of us will endure, if we haven’t already,” Caruana said. “Like when a grenade explodes in a war movie, all you hear is the ringing in your ears and see the world in front of you with a different tint.”
I Am The Avalanche have been confirmed for 2000trees festival 2026.
22 years into their career, I Am The Avalanche are making the most powerful music of their lives with THE HORROR SHOW, the band’s fifth full-length album. The heart of The Horror Show beats in the wake of unimaginable loss. "Experiencing ultimate loss will change you on a cellular level,” says frontman Vinnie Caruana. “About 75% of the lyrics were written after my best friend passed away suddenly and unexpectedly.”
Rebuilding from that devastation brought a new perspective. “You find courage you didn’t know you had,” he reflects. “Courage … that was his last gift to me.”
While the record confronts grief, it is not defined by it. Across 11 tracks, I Am The Avalanche explore various personal themes with the same urgency that has fuelled them since day one, but this time drawn from a deeper emotional well than ever before. It’s reflected in Caruana’s lyric writing but embraced by the whole band. “We go to a lot of new places, musically,” Caruana explains. “There are no rules or constraints. Complete freedom to create and push our music forward.”
That sense of freedom is everywhere — on the driving title track “THE HORROR SHOW,” the raw defiance of 'LAUGHING AND BLEEDING,' the fragility of '5:55,' the life-affirming radiance of 'I’M NOT DEAD…,' the punishing force of 'TRUE LEGENDS NEVER DIE,' and the shimmery glow of 'ALIVE ON 14th STREET.' It’s an album made with the visceral understanding that life can change in an instant and nothing should be left unsaid.
Out of that tribute comes a duality: The Horror Show holds grief and celebration side by side. In that, Caruana hopes this album can become a guide for anyone experiencing loss. “This record can become a lifelong companion for those who let it in,” he says. “The message is simple: You are stronger than you think you are and you are not alone.”
The Horror Show will be carried across the world as I Am The Avalanche join tours in support before heading out on their own. For fans, it’s a chance to see the band at the peak of their powers. For Caruana, it’s another step forward in the process of healing. “My only hope is that performing these songs on stage will repair the part of my soul that broke during the writing process. If that doesn’t happen, that’s okay. I achieved my mission and I’ll happily die tomorrow with a full and simultaneously broken heart,” he admits. After years of survival, I Am The Avalanche return with The Horror Show, aiming not just to endure but to thrive.

The UK's most exciting new heavy band, HERIOT, have unveiled a new single, 'Master of Deceit', alongside a deluxe version of their globally-acclaimed debut album, Devoured by the Mouth of Hell (Century Media).

HERIOT comment: "‘Master of Deceit’ is centred around the idea of the human experience being diminished through pressures of conformity and fear. It touches on how individualism is being lessened as we’re being pushed to disregard our own experiences, emotions and beliefs. The song poses the question of ‘how far are we willing to go before there’s no turning back?’"

Devoured by the Mouth of Hell was recorded and produced by HERIOT's Jake Packer with Josh Middleton (Sylosis, Architects) and mixed and mastered by GRAMMY Award-winning Will Putney (END, Fit For An Autopsy, Better Lovers), with additional engineering by Justin Hill (SikTh, Betraying the Martyrs).
NME, Kerrang! and Upset magazine cover stars, Devoured by the Mouth of Hell was critically acclaimed worldwide as the breakthrough metal album of that year. Celebrating the release, HERIOT performed an intimate album release show in Bristol, which instantly sold out. Following the album release, HERIOT toured the UK and across Europe supporting Fit For An Autopsy and Sylosis, alongside Darkest Hour.
In April 2025 HERIOT celebrated Devoured by the Mouth of Hell with a UK headline tour across five sold-out dates, including a show at London's iconic The Underworld.
HERIOT's debut album continues their ascendancy as the pre-eminent new force in the UK heavy scene. The album follows 'Siege Lord' and late 2023's 'Soul Chasm', the first two glimpses of new material following their signing with Century Media and support shows with Architects in summer of 2023.
HERIOT's debut EP Profound Morality (2022, Church Road Records) catapulted the quartet into the global spotlight, with praise worldwide and a debut, sold-out, headline tour across the UK. The band have since supported Lamb Of God, Thy Art Is Murder, Rolo Tomassi, and performed to packed tents at Download Festival, 2000trees, Wacken Open Air, Bloodstock, Mystic Festival and many more, gathering a legion of fans in the process. They since followed Profound Morality with the ferocious standalone single 'Demure' (February 2023, Church Road Records).
Fully-focused and with a razor-sharp edge, the awe-inspiring double-vocal attack of Jake Packer and Debbie Gough is all-conquering; the titanic support of Erhan Alman (guitar) and Julian Gage (drums) rock-solid.
HERIOT have deservedly been grabbing attention with all four pairs of hands, weaponising metallic sludge and hardcore, unholy levels of distortion, speed and gut-punching talent. Elements of Nails, Knocked Loose, Code Orange, and Vein.fm combine and collide to exhilarating effect, creating a sound that is truly groundbreaking, fully worthy of the notice the band are achieving.
In their short recent history HERIOT have caught the attention of NME, Pitchfork, The Guardian, Metal Hammer UK, Rock Sound, Brooklyn Vegan, Kerrang!, Revolver, and Knotfest, among many others, heralding the quartet as "one of the most promising young bands in modern metalcore", and "probably the best new metal band in Britain".
HERIOT are:
Jake Packer - Vocals/Bass
Debbie Gough - Vocals/Guitar
Erhan Alman - Guitar
Julian Gage - Drums

Swiss metalcore powerhouse Vicious Rain aren’t slowing down — they’re sharpening the blade. With their brand new single 'A Spotless Mind', the band unveil another intense chapter of an album cycle that has already seen massive momentum.
Watch the visualizer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cCyH_V_ftY0
Following the impact of 'IKIGAI,' 'Spitting Blood Again,' 'Silent Therapy,' and 'Trading Hearts,' Vicious Rain continue to prove that this era isn’t built on one strong track — it’s a statement of consistency and evolution.
'A Spotless Mind' dives deeper into the emotional weight that has defined this cycle so far, but it does so with a new level of urgency. Where previous singles balanced atmosphere and aggression, this one feels more immediate — sharp riffs, soaring tension, and a chorus that lingers long after the final breakdown fades. It’s heavy, but controlled. Emotional, but not fragile. The kind of track that doesn’t just hit — it stays.
All of this leads toward their upcoming full-length release, set to drop on 13th March. If the singles so far are any indication, Vicious Rain aren’t just releasing an album - they’re cementing their place as one of the most compelling forces in modern European metalcore.
'A Spotless Mind' is another reminder: this isn’t hype. It’s momentum.
