CONJURER reveal new live video 'The Searing Glow'

British metal heavyweights CONJURER have unveiled a new live video for 'The Searing Glow', recorded at their sold-out November 2025 London headline show at The Underworld.

Watch: https://youtu.be/PaRMMHO6sxU

The band comment: "Headlining, let alone selling out, The Underworld was one of the last milestones we had left for this band. From seeing Yob level the place on September 8th 2014 and deciding that night that we had to make this band happen, it's been a long time coming. Naturally, we'd want to document the occasion so we enlisted our trusty videographer Joe Guppy to get some multicam footage and here it is: 'The Searing Glow', from our album Unself, live at The Underworld, London."

CONJURER have evolved radically since the release of their debut album (Mire, 2018), and their second release (Páthos, 2022) saw them lauded among the most exciting British metal bands. Whilst award nominations and accolades accumulated, the four-piece band retained their very simple mission: to make heavy music and have fun whilst doing so. Preferring to use their spotlight to showcase technicality and musicality rather than centring politics or opinions, CONJURER lived in the moment and embraced everything that came their way.

Within the tumult of forging a renewed identity as a band, on Unself there is a more intense, more personal voyage of discovery unfurling for vocalist/guitarist Dani Nightingale. Diagnosed with autism at age 31, their long-held view of self, and perception of their place in the world began to unravel. Unself documents much of the piecing back together around the diagnosis, alongside the realisation they were non-binary.

These vignettes of processing and self-actualisation take place against the backdrop of a society careening towards glassy-eyed capitalist dystopia; finding firm footing eludes many of us - and CONJURER delve headfirst into exploring these suffocating new societal parameters.

Within Unself's nine tracks, CONJURER deliver the writhing post-metal sound they’ve become known for, but have loosened their grip on the desire to fill every moment with sonic obliteration. Instead, they have leaned into utilising space, gifting listeners a little breathing room which serves to make the heavy elements feel all the more intense.

A more direct, organic approach to songwriting was facilitated by the ever-strengthening bonds within the band, and the supportive environment created by producer Joe Clayton. Allowing themselves more time than with any previous recording experience, they committed to preproduction sessions, followed by an elongated recording period in order to do justice to the material they had crafted. Stripping back the excesses of previous outings to reveal their solid songwriting chops allowed for more clarity and more dynamics to shine through. To their ears, the mood, the core of the lyrical content and the music are more aligned than ever before.

This record is the sound of four individuals living with more purpose and as a consequence creating with more purpose. Unself sees them reaching out to offer community, catharsis and connection. CONJURER remain true to their original mission - they’re still having fun, playing interesting heavy music - but now that music is imbued with the power that comes from opening themselves up to others, at first within the band, and now beyond.

Warning return with new album 'Rituals of Shame'

Warning return with Rituals of Shame, their first new album in 20 years, due 19th June via Relapse Records. The band’s 2006 album, Watching from a Distance, has become one of the most revered releases in doom metal, with Pitchfork noting it “stands among the high water marks of the genre,” and Stereogum declaring it the “greatest doom record of all time.”

Today, the first track released from Rituals of Shame is unveiled.

“It’s my privilege to be able to present to you the first track released from Rituals of Shame,” Patrick Walker shares. “Whether you’re among those who have been waiting for this for twenty years, or whether you’re new to my music, it is with great pleasure and some relief, that I can finally give you a taste of the album that will follow later in the year. I wrote and recorded the entire record throughout 2025. This is the year I shall have the honour of sharing it with you.”

Walker, who also leads 40 Watt Sun, began work on Rituals of Shame in January 2025, writing seven days a week over three months as he turned his full focus back to Warning. The album was recorded at The Arch Studio, a 140-year-old former church in Southport, U.K., with recording and mixing handled by Chris Fullard (Idles, Sunn O))), Ulver).

The decision to make a new Warning album emerged from a transformative period in Walker’s life. Reluctant to explain his lyrics, he acknowledges only that the work reflects a deeply personal present moment, with the collection echoing the themes that have long defined his writing: longing, separation, and most of all, love.

Rituals of Shame also reflects a range of Walker’s longstanding influences, from the expansive melodic structures of Marillion to the restraint and clarity of June Tabor. He also cites John Brenner of Revelation as a formative influence, particularly in shaping his approach to articulating emotion through heavy music.

The collection is available now for pre-order on various vinyl variants and other physical formats, as well as digital pre-saves.

Warning tour dates:

April 16 to 19  Tilburg, NL  Roadburn Festival

Warning hail from Essex, U.K., emerging from the British doom scene in 1994. The band released two albums in their initial run, The Strength to Dream (1999) and Watching from a Distance (2006). LORD OF THE LOST unveil new single / video 'The Days Of Our Lives'

LORD OF THE LOST show their emotional side and present the final video of the OPVS NOIR trilogy with the music video for their single 'The Days Of Our Lives', unveiled today.

With the release of OPVS NOIR Vol. 3 this Friday, 10th April, the band conclude the album trilogy that began in the summer of 2025. 'The Days Of Our Lives' is a soulful and seemingly hopeless ballad, situated somewhere between a soundtrack and cold electronica, and, as the closing track, serves as the curtain call for the entire work.

Watch the video here: https://youtu.be/NFD9pyiEVO8

Pre-order the album here: https://lnk.to/LOTL-OPVSNOIR - first formats already sold out.

With nearly half a million listeners on Spotify, their appearance at the Eurovision final in 2023, followed by a number-one album and international tours with Iron Maiden, LORD OF THE LOST are proving themselves to be one of the most exciting and successful acts on the scene right now. OPVS NOIR Vol. 3 represents the creative peak of a band whose repertoire leaves no room for stagnation. The year started with shows in the USA, Canada, and Australia, and now continues with a headline run across Europe.

The most out-of-the-box of the full album trilogy, OPVS NOIR Vol. 3, the third and final chapter of LORD OF THE LOST’s latest journey, sees the six-piece close this era on a fulminant high note, intertwining heavy guitars and dark electronica with compassionate messages and cinematic orchestrations. It continues to push the band’s unpredictable path without settling for the familiar. Rounding off this impressive work, the album takes listeners by the hand and guides them through their darkest paths.

Following the captivating 'Blood & Glitter', which brought them to the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 and a #1 chart entry in their native Germany to go along with it, LORD OF THE LOST once again demonstrate their unmatched diversity. Initiated by beautiful cello melodies, 'Kill The Lights' is an overture like no other, setting a dark mood, but also unafraid to switch it up to make room for catchy and reassuring 'I’m A Diamond' featuring Alea, frontman of German medieval metal torchbearers SALTATIO MORTIS. 'My Funeral', despite the name, picks up the positive message, expanding the near-gothic soundscapes while sprinkling in tongue-in-cheek lyrics, promoting black as a happy colour – wear pink to their funeral! Stomping 'I Hate People' invites horror punk icon WEDNESDAY 13 to an industrial duet about equality, after which gentle 'The Shadows Within' hits twice as hard with its symphonic arrangement. Next, Chris Harms and parting KISSIN’ DYNAMITE frontman Hannes Braun deliver the bombastic 'La Vie Est Hell' (based on Charles Baudelaire’s influential book of poetry, “Les Fleurs Du Mal”) partly in French language, before going back to 'Square One'. 'When Did The Love Break?' is a heartfelt song of lost love – the addition of whimsical vocals by Ambre Vourvahis of XANDRIA drives the emotions of this universal topic right home. After 'Your Love Is Colder Than Death', LORD OF THE LOST team up with Damien Edwards of British glam rock band CATS IN SPACE for the captivating duet 'Take Me Far Away', before the album closes with a ballad, 'The Days Of Our Lives' – the sweeping track simultaneously being the closest LORD OF THE LOST have ever been to a cinematic soundtrack. The happy ending is skipped, almost making it sound like a goodbye…

OPVS NOIR Vol. 3: the trilogy is finally concluded.

Otay:Onii streams new single / video 'Love From Survivors'

Experimental multifaceted artist Otay:Onii has unveiled new single / video 'Love From Survivors'. This is the second single taken from her new album Love is in the Sh*t, set for release on 8th May 2026 via Pelagic Records.

Watch the video to 'Love From Survivors' here: https://youtu.be/d3Bi88F55iM

Stream and pre-save here: https://orcd.co/otayonii

Otay:Onii comments on the new single: “Put Shělìzǐ 舍利子 back in our own mouth, teach ourselves how to shit like we shit for the first time. The shit carries our history and memory. Let them bloom, let them wither, let them bloom, let them wither, let them bloom, let them wither, let them.”

Otay:Onii’s music unfolds like a living organism - restless, curious, and constantly re-shaping itself. Her sound is driven by her enchanting voice that serves as texture, rhythm, and raw material, moving between breath, chant, incantation, and fractured lyricism. From the beginning of her work Otay:Onii has treated sound as a physical substance, sculpting it with an experimental instinct that resists genre boundaries.

Otay:Onii’s new album Love is in the Sh*t is a deeply intimate album that reaches a striking balance between control and chaos. Harnessing her ability to move from serenity to madness, Love is in the Sh*t is an exploration in representing trialing conscious states. Drawing-in and challenging the listener, the songs play with comfort and discomfort, deliciously crafting the sonic arc of the story so that intention is undeniably felt.

Otay:Onii comments on the album: "This album speaks to what we cannot escape - the noise, the weight, the mess from the world, from others, from our own minds and bodies, what is damaged is damaged, we cannot change that one bit. Yet within the agony, here comes our process to restore, and hold on to something. The burden becomes alchemy: transformed into passion, into what makes us feel alive, and living. By choosing what ignites us, we do not lose ourselves - and from that grounding, we are able to give more of ourselves to others."

Otay:Onii (Lane Shi) is a multifaceted artist originally from Haining, China. Her artistic practice spans across music, performance, installation, and film composition.

Performance works such as Unwrap! at the Ming Contemporary Art Museum exemplify her innovative concept of “bio instruments.” She has performed at Harvard University and at prestigious international festivals including SXSW, Roadburn Festival, CTM Festival, Fusion Festival, Creepy Teepee, Le Guess Who?, Fekete Zaj Festival, and Full of Lava Festival.

Otay:Onii has joined the opera performance 'Sancta' by Florentina Holzinger and was selected as a featured artist by the SHAPE+ Platform for 2024 - 25. Her work moves fluidly between humour and the poignant realities of contemporary zero-generation immigrants, offering rooted Eastern perspectives to Western audiences in an effort to bridge cultural divides.

Her acclaimed albums — NAG (2018), MíngMíng ٥٥ (2021), Dream Hacker (2023) and True Faith Ain’t Blind (2024)  — defy conventional structures, foregrounding philosophies drawn from lived experience.

She describes her process as: “Solving a puzzle with another puzzle — one that cannot be seen or touched, only felt.”

Otay’s work has received recognition and accolades, including the bronze prize for "Best Female Vocalist" from Global Music Awards, and "Best Sound" from the Audiovisual Arts Industrial Incubator Awards.

Explosive hard rock band Dogma return with new single / video

Provocative hard rock force Dogma mark Good Friday with the arrival of 'Fate Unblinds,' a cinematic, high-impact metal anthem that signals a bold new chapter for the band. The single is their first original release since last summer’s 'Be Free,' and it lands with unmistakable intent.

Watch the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzobdkDGq4c

Stream here: https://ffm.to/fateunblinds

Driven by frontwoman Lilith’s commanding, firebrand vocals, 'Fate Unblinds' surges with thunderous guitars and ritualistic percussion, unfolding from eerie, tension-filled verses into a towering, anthemic chorus. Anchored by the declaration “my fate unblinds,” the track explores themes of revelation, faith, and the confrontation of buried truths, delivered with both raw intensity and theatrical precision.

Dogma are about to embark on their Time To Be Free European tour, UK dates below:

April 29: London, UK (final tickets)
April 30: Wolverhampton, UK (sold out)
May 1: Manchester, UK (sold out)
May 2: Bristol, UK (sold out)

Rising with defiant energy and an unmistakable visual identity, Dogma continue to reshape the modern metal landscape. Blending mystique, empowerment, and hook-driven heaviness, the band has rapidly emerged as a global force, with a momentum that has ignited audiences across North and South America and Europe, turning controversy and intrigue into a fast-expanding, deeply engaged fanbase.

With 'Fate Unblinds,' Dogma double down on their signature fusion of rebellion, sensuality, and sonic power. Fueled by surging streams, viral traction, and sold-out shows, the band isn’t just breaking through - they’re building a phenomenon.

Lilith says: “‘Fate Unblinds’ lives in a moment you already know… even if you choose to ignore it. It’s that point where something stops feeling right, where what’s in front of you begins to crack… and still, you hold onto it. Not because you don’t see it, but because you lack the will to face it. I’ve seen it. I’ve felt it. And so have you.

"We’ve all been given something and called it truth simply because it was easier. We’ve all trusted what stood beside us… without questioning what it really was. And we’ve all felt that hesitation… that moment where we knew, and still chose to stay exactly where we were. That’s not confusion. That’s weakness.

"And most people live there. They protect the illusion, they defend it, they repeat it… because it allows them to avoid responsibility for what they see. I have no respect for that.
Fate doesn’t come to comfort you. It comes to test you. To confront you with what is real and force you to decide who you are when it matters. Those moments are inevitable.  You either use them to sharpen yourself… to evolve, to rise, to move forward… or you stay where it’s safe, rooted in the same place, choosing comfort over growth.

"And that choice… is everything.

Dogma’s fate, your fate… unblinds…”

Celebrated Texas alt-rock band Sparta announce new album and stream single co-written with Frank Iero

Equal Vision Records, Dine Alone Records, Rude Records and Sparta are excited to announce the release of Cut A Silhouette on 29th May, the forthcoming album from the celebrated El Paso, TX-based alt rock band. The trio have also unveiled new single / video 'Crater',  a song co-written with Frank Iero (My Chemical Romance, L.S. Dunes.)

Produced, engineered and recorded in seven days at Magpie Cage Recording Studio by the iconic J. Robbins, Cut A Silhouette is a collision of past and present. It builds off Sparta’s legacy but equally continues the evolution of a band that have never rested on their laurels. Written in hotel rooms, practice spaces, studios and soundchecks over the course of a year, Cut A Silhouette reveals frontman Jim Ward’s rediscovery of his love for music.

“This is a love record,” Ward happily declares. “I want it to leave an impression, and at this point in my career, that's what I yearn for. I'm working so hard to make something meaningful to me, and I really want people to get a chance to feel it as well.”

Additionally, Sparta will be making a number of appearances over the summer behind Cut A Silhouette, performing headline shows in Latin America, appearing at Sol Summit Festival, and supporting Jimmy Eat World and The Toadies separately in select markets across the U.S.

It all started with John Candy. Some 31 years after the comedian’s death, Jim Ward was watching a documentary about him, and in it Macaulay Culkin — who had starred in a number of films with the late actor — said something that really stuck with the musician. So much so, in fact, that, after months of pondering and overthinking what Sparta’s sixth full-length album would be named, Ward decided that those very words—“cut a silhouette”—should be the title.

He said that when he met John Candy, he just entered your brain and cut a silhouette,” says Ward. “Like, he just left an impression is the way I see it. And when I heard him say that, I was like ‘Oh! That’s what I want this record to be.’ I want it to leave an impression.”

Helmed by the legendary J. Robbins, Cut A Silhouette begins with the frantic, impassioned rush of 'Split Lip' before charging into the urgent insistence of 'Crater'. The latter song, along with 'Mouthbreather', which immediately follows it, were both written with Frank Iero, though the My Chemical Romance guitarist doesn’t play on them. 'See You Soon', a gorgeous, lilting explosion of slow-motion power-pop, was co-written with Kemble Walters (Chevelle, Juliette And The Licks). He does play on that song, as does Adrian Borgeois, who adds some tender piano to the melancholy equation. J. Robbins also features on a number of the songs, as does Brooks Harlan, who plays in Jawbox with Robbins, as well as in War On Women, while Carlos Arévalo from Chicano Batman plays guitar on the hopeful fragility of 'Midnights'.

The result is pure, unadulterated Sparta. These days completed by bassist Matt Miller and drummer Neil Hennessy, the band have made a record that’s a culmination of the perfectly imperfect chemistry that flows between the three of them. The only thing on this record that shines as much as that chemistry between the trio is the community spirit that helped create it.

While you might expect 2022’s self-titled album to have been the one to bring Sparta home — after all, self-titled records are often made with that intention — that’s actually the role Ward has given Cut A Silhouette. But he admits that the previous record — one he says felt like it was made from disparate parts being brought together — was a necessary process to go through for this one to exist. “This feels like we're a fucking band again,” Ward says. “All three of us are in a room, we're all writing together, we're listening to each other; this is now a constructive creative process, and it's now the end of this era. Like, I made it through.”

Metal heroines NERVOSA have unleashed their new single, 'Impending Doom' - the opening track to their upcoming album, Slave Machine (Friday 3rd April, Napalm Records).

'Impending Doom' builds up menacingly, using thunderous riffs and speedy drums to share sinister social observations and establish the women’s dominance in the scene. Produced by Martin Furia of German thrash legends DESTRUCTION, 'Impending Doom' blends old-school power with a modern twist, showcasing NERVOSA’s view into the future.

NERVOSA about 'Impending Doom': “Dark vibes with epic sensation, a very powerful song to introduce our new album, which marks a big step in our career.”

Watch the video here: https://youtu.be/H3vgFPNHFcI

NERVOSA unleash another round of fury on their new album, Slave Machine, out 3rd April via Napalm Records. Their sixth album shows the Brazilian modern thrash metal band releasing their inner beasts at staggering speed and with formidable emphasis. Having performed at the biggest metal festivals worldwide, from Wacken to Hellfest, and making a lasting impression on fans and critics alike, NERVOSA aims to consolidate their standing as genre frontrunners. With founding guitarist Prika Amaral established as their new singer with their previous record, Jailbreak (2023), they tear through the scene with the force of a sledgehammer.

NERVOSA erupt as a metal volcano with their latest record. Never settling, always exploring, one staggering riff after another, Slave Machine is a crushing statement - it comes, sees, and conquers.

NERVOSA comment on Slave Machine: Slave Machine is the most brutal and melodic album of NERVOSA, and we are proud to take this step further, keeping our roots.”

Twelve new songs show the five-piece exploring their crushing style in an enhanced way. Opener 'Impending Doom' builds up menacingly, using thunderous riffs and jagged drums to establish NERVOSA’s dominance in the scene.

The title track, 'Slave Machine', instantly turns up the speed and adds a surprising alternative bridge to the already catchy chorus, showing a slightly different side of the metal powerhouses. The following 'Ghost Notes' unleashes a storm of heavy, yet easily recognisable riffs, driven by impelling drums and the ever-so-furious vocals of Prika Amaral, crowned by an astounding guitar solo.

Through 'Beast Of Burden', NERVOSA shows their harshest side, while 'You Are Not A Hero' offers a grand chorus, gifting Slave Machine a true anthem. 'Hate' unfolds with raw brutality, and 'The New Empire' looks for destruction with melodic precision.'30 Seconds' rises up to new heights, while 'Crawl For Your Pride' combines NERVOSA’s trademark social criticism with gut-punching songwriting.

Throughout 'Learn Or Repeat' and 'The Call', the band once again sprinkles in some pieces of modern groove with old-school vibes before Slave Machine rears up one final time on the threateningly sinister 'Speak In Fire'.

PLUME make label debut with single 'Furious Icon'

There’s a certain kind of momentum you don’t fake — and right now, PLUME are moving like a band that’s already outgrown the room.

With their new single 'Furious Icon', the rising emo force sharpen their edges and lean further into the tension that’s been building across their previous releases. Where earlier tracks hinted at their range, this one locks in — urgent, restless, and wired with the kind of energy that feels one step away from spiraling out.

Watch here: https://youtu.be/bqZyn-3J7W8

Stream here: https://arisingempire.com/plume

PLUME’s recent singles didn’t just introduce them; they established a pattern. Each drop pushed a little further, sonically and visually, pulling more people into their orbit without ever feeling calculated. That same instinct carries through 'Furious Icon' — controlled chaos with intent behind it.

There’s no attempt here to smooth things out or play it safe. The track thrives on contrast: jagged and melodic, immediate but layered enough to keep revealing new details on repeat listens. It’s the sound of a band figuring out exactly how far they can push their identity — and then going past it anyway.

If the earlier singles were the signal, 'Furious Icon' is the confirmation. PLUME aren’t arriving quietly — and they’re definitely not slowing down.

Cinematic post-metal quartet Telepathy have unveiled their new single 'Home (Redux)' featuring acclaimed cellist Jo Quail.

The single is taken from the band's EP Transmissions 2.0, a reworking of the band's lauded 2025 album Transmissions (Pelagic Records).

As the band comment: "With Transmissions we added a heap of synthesisers, cinematic and electronic textures to our sound - so when approaching this EP, it felt natural to give some tracks to artists that could expand on this part of our sound."

Rather than basic remixes, each guest artist was invited to reconstruct the track entirely. Sitting at the centre of the EP is 'Home (Redux)', with Jo Quail.

The band state: "We first discovered Jo’s music at Dunk Festival in 2018. We were literally stopped in our tracks but her performance. Her music (at least to us) feels both organic and futuristic, cello meets live looping - so conceptually as we re-imagined our full band music into a more electronic space we felt she was the natural collaborator."
