The high-energy track serves as the fourth song unveiled from O, the band's forthcoming EP due 12th August, and delivers another explosive dose of the signature zebrahead formula: massive hooks, punk-rock urgency, metallic riffs, hip-hop swagger, and an undeniable sense of fun.

"This song is for every kid who grew up feeling invisible. For the ones who found their people in the chaos. It's loud, it's messy, and it's exactly what it needs to be!" says vocalist/rapper Ali Tabatabaee.

Bassist Ben Osmundson adds: "'A Perfect Life Is Such A Bore' is a high-energy anthem about finding family with your ride-or-die friends."

The new track arrives on the heels of the band's recently released official video for 'I Know What You Did Last Summer,' which continues building anticipation for O.

The upcoming EP completes zebrahead's ambitious conceptual EP series III, II, I, and now O, bringing the collection full circle both sonically and visually. Along the way, the band have continued to expand its sound while staying true to the infectious energy that has made them international punk-rock favourites for decades.

'A Perfect Life Is Such A Bore' captures everything fans have come to expect from zebrahead: explosive choruses, relentless energy, and the communal spirit that has fuelled the band's global following since their Orange County beginnings.

zebrahead features Ali Tabatabaee (vocal and rhymes), Adrian Estrella (vocals and guitar), Ben Osmundson (bass), Ed Udhus (drums), and Dan Palmer (guitar), the band continues to evolve while maintaining the intensity, humour, and authenticity that have defined their career.

Since forming in the late 1990s, zebrahead have sold more than two million albums worldwide, earned a Grammy nomination through a collaboration with Motörhead, and built a reputation as one of punk rock’s most explosive live acts. Their career includes performances at Reading and Leeds, Download Festival, Rock am Ring, Fuji Rock, Summersonic, Slam Dunk, Vans Warped Tour, and countless sold-out headline shows around the world.

After nearly a decade of operating independently, the band continues to thrive through a DIY approach that has allowed them complete creative freedom. With O arriving 12th August and more music and videos on the way, zebrahead continue to prove that their momentum is only getting louder.

Guitarist Palmer explains, “We plan to do two things: kick ass and chew bubble gum! And we’re all out of bubble gum!”

John Coffey sign to Long Branch Records and drop blistering new single

Dutch punk and rock ’n roll powerhouse John Coffey are back with a vengeance. Marking their recent signing to Long Branch Records, the band have dropped their blistering new single, 'Hang The Choir'. Built to ignite the mosh pits, the track is a heavy, relentless anthem that perfectly captures the band’s signature brand of unified chaos. But beneath the roaring guitars and explosive energy lies a deeply resonant message of defiance and equality.

Watch the video to 'Hang The Choir' here: https://youtu.be/vLRzqY7kObs

Stream the new single here: https://johncoffey.lnk.to/hangthechoir

“The lyrics of 'Hang The Choir' were written in the wake of the story of Jacky Roozen," comment John Coffey. "An inspiring story of a woman who was prohibited from swimming topless in a public swimming pool after having her breasts removed out of precaution. Basically, a top hurts, so not wearing one makes sense. She stood her ground and spoke up for her right not to be judged, and her story reached the general public, earning her the recognition she deserves and support from countless people. Striving for change and equality can (and usually does) meet severe resistance. Being different is often seen as a threat, with exclusion as the consequence. There are no more supposed witches at the stake. Metal heads are not automatically evil anymore. But there’s always someone who’s gonna be picked out as a scapegoat or refused for who they are. Just because the prevailing social norm demands it. Maybe we all know one.”

“A tour-de-force that will send shockwaves around eardrums, stereos and venues alike”
PUNKTASTIC

“John Coffey have a rare gift shared only with a few deserving bands of their ilk: the ability to take a sturdy hardcore punk foundation, and build on it with slab upon slab of badass groove."
BRING THE NOISE UK

John Coffey built a reputation as one of the most explosive live bands in Europe - even becoming an internet sensation with the legendary “beer catch”. From Graspop to Sziget, Wacken to Pinkpop, Vainstream to Jera On Air, 2000trees and Hurricane/Southside - the Dutch group has played several of the biggest festivals, sold out the Melkweg in Amsterdam and even launched their own punk rock festival - Coffey Fest - to celebrate community and uncompromising music.

Never shying away from the world around them, John Coffey actively uses their platform to speak out on social justice and political urgency. Armed with new music, a fierce activist ethos, and upcoming European tour dates, the band proves that engagement and heavy rock ’n roll are a perfect match.

Allt release aggressive and vocally dynamic new single

Swedish progressive metalcore outfit Allt have unveiled their new aggressive, vocally dynamic single 'Omertà'. Taken from Ataraxia, out 31st July via Century Media Records, the new full-length features nine tracks of "third album energy", even though it's only their sophomore record.

Watch the 'Omertà' video here: https://youtu.be/tPddc0R5J_Q

Pre-order Ataraxia here: https://allt.bio.to/Ataraxia-Album

Allt's Robin Malmgren (vocals) comments: "'Omertà' is about knowing better and doing it anyway."

Formed in 2020 in Karlskoga, Sweden, Allt are known for their audiovisual storytelling and innovative approach to metalcore. The name Allt, meaning "everything" in Swedish, reflects the band's philosophy: never to be confined within genre boundaries, continually delivering conceptually rich compositions inspired by the world around them and the stories and myths told through the ages.

Following the release of their critically acclaimed debut album From The New World in 2024, a record exploring societal collapse, survival, and humanity through a fictional post-apocalyptic lens, the band now announces their sophomore album Ataraxia.

Ataraxia marks a shift inward; the album draws directly from lived experience. Musically, Allt continue to evolve their signature blend of modern progressive metalcore, placing greater emphasis on emotional space and restraint. The aggression remains, but is now placed in direct dialogue with vulnerability. The result is Allt's most intimate, human, and honest work to date.

Allt comment: "With Ataraxia, we wanted to write from the place we actually live in, not an ideal version of it. The album is about the search for peace, but also about the parts of you that resist it. We've all experienced moments where you know what would be better for you, but
something in you pulls in the opposite direction. That tension became a central part of the writing."

Allt will appear at some of the biggest festivals this summer, including Wacken, Mystic Festival and Jera On Air, before embarking on a European headlining tour in November/December.

Rising titans of Australian hard rock and pure heavy metal, Battlesnake have ascended from the underground to global domination with ferocity, flair, and unrelenting ambition. Channeling the grandiosity of Queen, the steel of Judas Priest, and the doom-laden power of Black Sabbath, Battlesnake forge a sound that feels both gloriously familiar and strikingly original. Defined by towering riffs, soaring vocals, and dynamic, theatrical songwriting, the band has cemented their reputation as one of the most electrifying acts in contemporary metal.

Formed in 2019, Battlesnake wasted no time making their presence known. Their debut EP Myths and Legends from Gorbag’s Domain (2020) introduced a band unafraid of spectacle, storytelling, and sheer volume. This momentum carried into their self-titled debut album in 2023, which expanded their sonic arsenal and marked their transition from cult favourites to serious contenders.

Their international breakthrough came in 2024 with The Rise and Demise of the Motorsteeple, a high-octane concept album that blended thunderous metal with intricate narrative ambition. The record struck a powerful chord across the UK and Europe, earning critical acclaim and propelling Battlesnake onto global radars as one of the most exciting and unpredictable bands in the genre.

That rise was amplified by high-profile tours alongside legendary acts including KISS on their End of the World Tour, as well as The Smashing Pumpkins and Jane’s Addiction on the World Is a Vampire Tour. Night after night, Battlesnake’s explosive live shows converted new fans, selling out venues and solidifying their reputation as a must-see live force.

In 2025, Battlesnake delivered their third studio album, Dawn Of The Exultants And The Hunt For The Shepherd, unveiling a darker, more refined edge to their sound. The release coincided with their biggest touring year to date, including appearances at major international festivals such as Download (UK), Copenhell (Denmark), Rock for People (Czech Republic), Mad Cool (Spain), and more, further proving their dominance on the world stage.

Now in 2026, Battlesnake stand at the peak of their powers as they prepare to unleash their fourth studio album. Backed by multiple international tours and an ever-expanding global fanbase, the band continue to push their sound to new extremes, bigger, bolder, and more uncompromising than ever before. With their trademark blend of epic theatricality, crushing heaviness, and relentless energy, Battlesnake show no signs of slowing down.

With critical acclaim, worldwide momentum, and an unshakable commitment to their craft, Battlesnake are establishing themselves as a formidable force in modern metal.

All hail Battlesnake!

Since their formation, the band has quickly gained momentum within the heavy music scene, amassing more than 2 million streams across digital platforms and establishing themselves as one of the most promising new forces in modern metalcore. At its core, 'Forsaker' is a song about breaking free. It captures the painful realization that some people, relationships, and even parts of ourselves can become toxic enough to hold us captive. Through brutally honest lyrics, the track explores the feeling of being trapped in an endless cycle of self-doubt, chasing shadows while becoming a slave to your own thoughts.

Revnoir join forces with Carpenter Brut on new single 'Alchemised'

French modern metal force Revnoir return with their most ambitious release to date; 'Alchemised' ft. Carpenter Brut, an explosive new single that fuses crushing metalcore, industrial intensity, and an unforgettable chorus destined to stay lodged in listeners' minds long after the final note fades.

Watch the video here: https://youtu.be/PynEDpAPRlE

Stream here: https://arisingempire.com/revnoir

Elevated by a highly anticipated feature from internationally acclaimed synthwave and dark electronic pioneer Carpenter Brut, 'Alchemised' blurs the boundaries between metal, industrial music, and cinematic storytelling. Massive riffs collide with pulsating electronic textures, fractured rhythms, and hypnotic melodies, creating a track that feels equally at home on festival main stages and in neon-lit underground clubs. Lyrically, 'Alchemised' explores obsession, temptation, and transformation. Set against a venom-lit backdrop of desire and destruction, the song follows two souls caught in a toxic chemistry they cannot escape, drawn together by their flaws, their sins, and their inevitable downfall. Revnoir channel this emotional chaos into a cathartic anthem, balancing raw aggression with haunting vulnerability. The release is accompanied by a cinematic music video that expands the song's dark universe through striking visuals, immersive storytelling, and a dystopian aesthetic that perfectly mirrors the track's intoxicating atmosphere.

Progressive tech metal masters Gorod unveil first single 'Forgiveness' from new album

French progressive technical metal force Gorod have unveiled the first single, 'Forgiveness', from their long-awaited new album The Ember Gone, due for release on 28th August via Base Productions and Season of Mist.

'Forgiveness' arrives alongside a striking new visual piece directed by Sébastien Duattis. Far more than a standard music video, the release takes the form of an almost eight-minute short film, exploring the concept of the Pyrocene, the age of megafires, through the eyes of a father. Haunted by the prospect of leaving behind a world consumed by flames, he is torn between regret, guilt and the weight of his own responsibility in a rapidly unfolding catastrophe.

Watch the stunning video here: https://youtu.be/0ooSyHdyntE

Pre-order: https://gorodofficial.com/the-ember-gone-release

The band comment: “Musically, ‘Forgiveness’ is undoubtedly our most progressive composition to date, a synthesis where Gorod’s technical prowess meets epic songwriting and territories the band has never explored before. This song gives us the opportunity to tell a story that is deeply meaningful to us, this time not only through the music itself, but also through its visual interpretation.”

Entirely self-produced at Bud Studio by guitarist and principal songwriter Mathieu Pascal, before being mixed and mastered by David Thiers at Secret Place Studio, The Ember Gone marks a bold return to the progressive spirit of Transcendence (2011) while pushing Gorod into expansive new territory. Combining groove, immersive atmospheres and richly layered arrangements with the band’s trademark technical precision, the album explores themes of environmental collapse, consumerism and existential anxiety through songwriting that feels ambitious and deeply human.

Speaking on the new album, guitarist Mathieu Pascal comments: “We are undoubtedly delivering the most singular album in our discography. As we are always driven by the desire not to repeat ourselves, to evolve, and to keep surprising people, we sought new ways to express ourselves through different musical vocabularies than those traditionally associated with extreme metal. This album is freer and more open, yet without compromising the complexity and richness of the songwriting, which will always remain the band’s trademark.”

Widely regarded as one of the defining forces in modern technical death metal, Gorod have spent nearly three decades carving out a singular identity far beyond the genre’s traditional confines. Since emerging from Bordeaux in 1997, the band have continually evolved their sound, combining dizzying technicality with groove, melody and sophisticated songwriting to become one of the most distinctive and internationally respected acts in contemporary extreme metal.

Across landmark releases including A Maze of Recycled Creeds (2015), ÆTHRA (2018) and The Orb (2023), Gorod have consistently pushed at the boundaries of technical death metal, whether through the progressive ambition of Transcendence or the razor edged aggression of Kiss the Freak (2017). Never content to repeat themselves, the quintet have built a discography defined by fearless experimentation and an unmistakable musical identity.

Still regarded as one of the tightest and most electrifying live acts in modern extreme metal, Gorod's compositions take on a whole new energy on stage, intense and dynamic but always driven by a sense of groove that makes even their most complex material feel exciting. Renowned not only for their musicianship but for their chemistry and connection with audiences, the band will bring The Ember Gone to stages across Europe this September alongside Allegaeon and Abysmal Dawn.

German metalcore masters Rising Insane release new collaborative single 'Dark' with ACCVSED

Building on the massive momentum of their million-streaming hit 'Good Enough', RISING INSANE have joined forces with ACCVSED for their explosive new single, 'DARK'. The track offers a standout testament to the band's relentless creative drive and serves as the latest taste of their highly anticipated upcoming album, DEATHRACE, arriving on 21st August via Long Branch Records.

Reflecting on the song’s turbulent journey from the cutting room floor to centre stage, RISING INSANE share: "'DARK' was actually on the chopping block for the album for a long time before it unexpectedly transformed into a single. When Sven played the instrumental for the first time, some incredible vocal ideas immediately clicked. But as it often goes, initial ideas don’t always pan out the way you hope. As a result, the song ended up gathering dust for a while. Yet, that initial spark from the instrumental version never truly faded, which pushed us to give it a second shot - and that definitive rewrite finally brought 'DARK' to life. Being able to bring ACCVSED on board for a feature was an absolute blessing, and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out."

Watch the video to 'DARK' (feat. ACCVSED) here: https://youtu.be/OVRLV1jRP_c

Pre-order the new album and stream the single here: https://risinginsane.lnk.to/deathrace

Since their debut, RISING INSANE have evolved from a fierce independent quintet into a global heavy-hitter, amassing millions of streams across their previous catalogue. Their journey to the top has been defined by elite company, having shared stages with genre icons like Papa Roach, Of Mice & Men, and Stray From the Path, transforming them into an unstoppable live force.

This momentum is now reaching a fever pitch with their upcoming album, DEATHRACE. The record includes the standout track 'Good Enough' (feat. CASKETS), alongside the dark and mature 'Error' (feat. Steven Jones of Bleed From Within). Fans can also look forward to explosive new collaborations on the album with ACCVSED and David Schneider (The Butcher Sisters).

DEATHRACE marks the band’s most radical chapter yet, stripping away polished refinement in favour of raw power and primal riffs. It is a limit-breaking statement that finally pushes their sound to the absolute limit - RISING INSANE have never stood still, but now they are finally flooring it.
