Long Branch Records is proud to announce the signing of the french progressive metal sextet UNEVEN STRUCTURE. Their new album La Partition, which they've worked on for almost four years now, will be released internationally in Spring 2017.
La Partition is a full concept album and the follow-up to the bands first EP "8" (2009) and their debut full-length "Februus" (2011) which both received great feedback and critical acclaim.
A truly exciting prospect for the future of heavy music, UNEVEN STRUCTURE disassemble and reconstruct the metal genre we all know and love by creating contemporary atmospheric movements that are all at once dripping with seductive cinematic ambience and groove-laden riffs.
Since their critically acclaimed debut album Februus in 2011, Uneven Structure have been hard at work touring, writing, touring and making videos. Although only their second album, the anticipation for La Partition and new material is at an all-time high.
Comments guitarist Igor Omodei: "While not being a fresh start, La Partition is a very different beast from what we've released in the past. So it made sense for us to move over to the SPV/ Longbranch Records team to back our evolution both as artists and individuals. We can't wait to see these five years of work to unfold over the next weeks. See you on the other side and cheers to you all!"

ABOUT UNEVEN STRUCTURE:
Hailing from France, one of the biggest markets and breeding stock for bands within the Tech Metal and Progressive Rock scene, Uneven Structure was formed in may 2008 from the intention of Benoit Friedrich (bass) and Igor Omodei (guitar) to finally bring the technically enhanced and progressive music they had been working on for themselves alive. The sound they were aiming to create was a one of a kind merger of groovy polyrythmic guitar riffs with huge slick of ambient guitar leads, which they undoubtedly accomplished.
Since the release of the debut album "Februus" in 2011 the band did multiple European tours with tech metal and prog rock genre-leaders such as Protest The Hero, Textures or Tesseract and performed at festivals such as Brutal Assault or Euroblast. While listening to the new album "La Partition" you will hear and feel the progress and growing the band made since "Februus", due to the fact that their sound is now even more complex and perfectly arranged, catchy, experimental and technically enhanced, but also groovy. A perfect combination of the hardness of metal with the elaborate techniques of prog and the atmospheric sounds of ambient.
Not only has the sound of Uneven Structure been growing and changing with this new album, but also the band internally. With Arnaud Verrier on drums (ex Zuul FX and Kadinja) and Steeves Hostin (Beyond The Dust) as guitarist the band is more than perfectly prepared to continue their legacy, but also to open a new chapter in their musical career by performing mindblowing live shows all over the world.
Line Up:
Arnaud Verrier - Drums
Benoit Friedrich - Bass
Igor Omodei - Guitar, Production, Videos
Jérôme Colombelli - Guitar
Matthieu Romarin - Vocals, Production

Official Tour Trailer:
In conjunction with this special 10th anniversary tour, Basick Records will be releasing the very first vinyl pressing of'A Fragile Hope' on limited edition double wax. This will be a Record Store Day exclusive release and will only be available for purchase from participating record stores on April 22nd onwards.
A message from the band:
“Releasing this album on vinyl is something we have wanted to do for a very long time. When we finished the album all those years ago and listened back to the final masters, we had no idea what impact it would have on us as musicians and, from what we would come to learn over the years, how much it would affect those who listened to it. And so, with this in mind, we have decided that there would be no better way to celebrate this release and anniversary than to perform the album in its entirety at four very special shows.
We are also extremely excited to announce that we will be joined by original vocalist, Ed Gibbs, who shares the stage with us for the first time in nearly 4 years and together with Paul Green, they will make these shows truly special. Our ambition from the start was to have both Paul and Ed involved in these shows as they are both integral members of this band. The enthusiasm, commitment and hard work shown by both of them to make all this possible has shown how strong a bond we all have as musicians and above all, as friends. These are going to be truly memorable shows and we cannot wait to get back on the road.”
Ed Gibbs: “I'm dead excited to be getting back on the road with the guys to celebrate 10 years since the release of 'A Fragile Hope'! I think the only time we ever played these songs back to back was during the writing sessions for the record, and we've certainly never done it live, so it should be exciting. It'll be loads of fun to play these songs now, 10 years is a long time and I'm sure the songs will have changed a bit with us, that or it's going to feel like stepping back in time. I'll let you know…”
Paul Green: “I'm really excited to be playing these shows with the guys and even more so that Ed is on board, after all he wrote the damn thing! I remember picking up A Fragile Hope when it came out, it was that certain time in the UK scene when there was a real birth of exciting bands (DSHS, Architects, Johnny Truant etc.), watching DSHS play these songs live at a point when I was just getting going in music was hugely inspiring. It's pretty surreal to be performing its anniversary shows. We've been planning these for a long time so I hope you can all get down as it's going to be special!" The Great Collapse will be released on 17 March via Long Branch Records
New Jersey metal act FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY will release new album The Great Collapse on 17 March via Longbranch / SPV.
“The Great Collapse is a reflection on the current chaotic state of mankind’s relationship with the world, and it’s effect both outward and inward,” says guitarist and producer Will Putney. “It’s a dark and unsettling record that encapsulates a variety of approaches to aggressive music, and a definite expansion of our capabilities as a band.”
The Great Collapse will be the the band's fourth full-length record, continuing the momentum gained from a solid 200+ days of worldwide touring backing the highly acclaimed release of Absolute Hope Absolute Hell in late 2015, as well The Depression Sessions, a split release with The Acacia Strain and Thy Art Is Murder in 2016. “It’s going to be the strongest record in our catalog. The overall mood and atmosphere of this album feels fully realized and emotionally stirring.”
The band have also released the artwork, created by Adam Burke:
The crushing music of Fit For An Autopsy is for any fan of extreme metal, as it’s devoid of preachy politics or grandstanding soap-boxing, but its sound and fury is absolutely unflinching in purpose. The band expertly blends excessive-force fuelled death metal with atmospheric groove and impassioned personal diatribes, reflecting back the dark state of current events. Their fourth album, The Great Collapse, doesn’t waste time with fantasy bullsh*t or cliché gore horror. Fit For An Autopsy are metal guys, to be certain, but they grew up in the hardcore scene. They embrace the responsibility to put as much devoted purpose into their lyrics and message as they do into their dense, heady, songs, forging a magnificently powerful new post-deathcore.
“When I write a song, I’m trying to feel emotionally connected to it. I really don’t like saying things that don’t matter over music that I want to matter,” says Putney, guitarist, principal songwriter and cofounder. “We’ve always addressed serious topics going back to our first album. We aren’t a politically charged band up on a podium yelling at people – anybody can relate to the aggression, anger, frustration, and sadness often communicated in our music. But we absolutely raise important questions in the lyrics. Those themes are there to discover.”
Putney’s fellow guitarist/cofounder, Patrick Sheridan, strongly agrees. He emphasises that while the music of Fit For An Autopsy may evolve it will always be aggressive and will always have purpose. “We think it's important to carry that torch. Somebody's got to say something about the shit that's going on. If you're not using your music, which is a great platform, for something meaningful that you care about on some level, then you're kind of wasting it.”
The six-men of the New Jersey based group - which includes vocalist Joe Badolato, bassist Peter Spinazola, third guitarist Tim Howley, and drummer Josean Orta - put maximum intentionality into everything they do. They are constantly challenging themselves as musicians, adding to the band’s overall creative arsenal, connecting with audiences around the world, and supporting one another in the band as individual people.

Massachusetts metal veterans WITHIN THE RUINS have debuted the video for their new single 'Beautiful Agony', the second to be taken from their album Halfway Human, out 3rd March via Long Branch Records.

Within The Ruins will release Halfway Human on via Long Branch Records (Europe) and Entertainment One (ROW). The band recorded the new effort from their own studio with producer and guitar player Joe Cocchi at the helm. Vocal production took place at Zing studios in Westfield, MA with Jim Fogarty (Killswitch Engage, The Devil Wears Prada).
"The writing process was a bit different for this album," says Cocchi. "We took a step back and kind of reviewed some of our older material. Typically we'd rush and blast out a group of songs and then hit the studio. At the time it felt right. And It had a more organic feel. Now because of a combination of maturity and honestly just feeling sick of the same old formula, we really focused on creating something different sounding."
Halfway Human will be the band's follow up to the critically acclaimed Phenomena LP released in 2014 which Metal Injection called a "well refined album with more surprises than one would expect."
Cocchi concludes, "we went back to a more organic style of writing and production. I personally was finally able to abandon a lot of my writing habits or 'rules,' if you will. No more 'oh, that part doesn't really sound like us, have to change that,' type of bullshit. Doing that created a fresher sound. This is the most raw and extreme sounding material we've ever written. Keep an eye out for studio blogs and more updates."
Born and bred in the same heavy metal rich Northeast soil as New Wave Of American Heavy Metal progenitors Killswitch Engage, All That Remains, Unearth and Shadows Fall and weaned on the dark sounds of classic death metal, the technical melodicism of Scandinavia and the precision staccato crunch of Meshuggah, Within The Ruins have busted their collective ass to carve out a unique identity for themselves from those ingredients.
Within The Ruins are refreshingly authentic, feverishly committed and have proven that they will endure. Filled with power, deserving of utter respect, armed with concise compositions and technical might, Within The Ruins will not be stopped.

HACKTIVIST are sad to announce the departure of founding member and vocalist Ben Marvin. Due to family commitments and a desire to spend more time at home, Ben has made the tough decision to part ways with the band.
Ben has been an integral part of Hacktivist on stage and in the studio since the band’s inception, and the band open-heartedly wish him well for the future.
Ben says: "My time in Hacktivist has been sick! Big up all the fans across the world and the rest of the band for making this possible. One love.”
The band say: "We want to wish Ben all the best for his future endeavours. Hacktivist won't be the same without him and we will all miss him. But this is also a new beginning for H, and we're looking forward to the next chapter.”
Ben will be leaving at the end of the month following the hometown headline show at Milton Keynes’ Craufurd Arms (29th January) to mark Independent Venue Week.
All future touring commitments will be honoured, including shows at UK Tech-Fest, Download Spain and Graspop.
What comes next for Hacktivist is unwritten, and a replacement for Ben will be sought out and subsequently announced in due course.
Altars of Impurity will be released via Siege Music on 7 April
Masters of brutality NO ZODIAC have announced their new album Altars of Impurity will be released on 7 April via Siege Music.
Ahead of the release the band are premiering a video for the sonically debilitating 'Santisima Muerte' on Metal Injection, watch it here:
http://www.metalinjection.net/video/no-zodiacs-santisima-muerte-music-video-might-snap-your-neck-clean-off
Santisima Muerte is the first single taken from the the band's third album Altars Of Impurity and the follow up to 2015's Eternal Misery. Altars of Impurity is an all out metal assault fusing the seriously ferocious tone of classic death metal with the power of modern deathcore and also has guest features from Trevor Stnrad of Black Dahlia Murder and Karebear of Suburban Scum. Originally from Chicago IL, the band are now based in Phoenix Arizona and boast a brand new line-up.
The band comment: “Altars of Impurity is our third full length as a band, and we could not be more excited to release it. It has a very raw sound and isn't over polished. As a band we decided this album would be in a different direction than our previous full lengths. We wanted to throw more of our death metal and black metal influences into this album and try to change up the sound slightly to see what we could do with it, without taking that signature NZ heaviness away. We have a lot of awesome guest spots on this album. One in particular that we are extremely pleased with was a spot by Trevor of The Black Dahlia Murder in the song "Hung by the Tongue". Prior to this release we have had a few member shifts one being a new vocalist. We feel that this lineup is the strongest we have ever had and our new vocalists style fits the music we are going for a lot better than our previous. "Altars of Impurity" is a start to a new mature No Zodiac and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for us.“
Altars of Impurity is released on April 7 via Siege Music.
