French prog-death metallers FRACTAL UNIVERSE announce debut album

Engram of Decline will be released 14 April 2017 via Kolony Records

French prog-metallers FRACTAL UNIVERSE will release their sonically stunning debut album Engram of Decline on 14 April 2017.

Featuring 12 tracks of inventive metal that's as expansive as it is extreme, check out this sampler for a taste of what to expect:

France has long had a reputation for producing exciting, forward-thinking metal bands of the highest order: Gojira, Alcest, Gorod, to name just three. Groovy progressive death metal, intensely rhythmic and jazzy and mightily powerful all at once: as much Gojira as blues-tinged Opeth, Engram of Decline has a width and breadth of influences that will leave many competitors grasping at their shadow and gasping in the dust.

Not for nothing are Fractal Universe gaining a fine reputation. The album, although weighing in at one hour, does not overstay its welcome – the majority of tracks sitting at a manageable four-five minute length. Cementing the band’s progressive credentials are two exciting guest appearances: Jorgen Munkeby of Shining (saxophone solo – ‘Backworldsmen’) and Michael Keene of The Faceless (guitar solo – ‘Collective Engram’).

A band who’ve already played alongside The Black Dahlia Murder and God Dethroned, as well as Motocultor Festival (w/Testament, Soulfly, etc), and Bang Your Head Festival (w/Exodus), Fractal Universe are set to tour across April, as well as being handpicked for MetalDays Festival this year. Stay tuned for more news as it comes from this highly exciting new band.

ABOUT UNEVEN STRUCTURE:
Hailing from France, one of the biggest markets and breeding stock for bands within the Tech Metal and Progressive Rock scene, Uneven Structure was formed in may 2008 from the intention of Benoit Friedrich (bass) and Igor Omodei (guitar) to finally bring the technically enhanced and progressive music they had been working on for themselves alive. The sound they were aiming to create was a one of a kind merger of groovy polyrythmic guitar riffs with huge slick of ambient guitar leads, which they undoubtedly accomplished.

Since the release of the debut album "Februus" in 2011 the band did multiple European tours with tech metal and prog rock genre-leaders such as Protest The Hero, Textures or Tesseract and performed at festivals such as Brutal Assault or Euroblast. While listening to the new album "La Partition" you will hear and feel the progress and growing the band made since "Februus", due to the fact that their sound is now even more complex and perfectly arranged, catchy, experimental and technically enhanced, but also groovy. A perfect combination of the hardness of metal with the elaborate techniques of prog and the atmospheric sounds of ambient.

Not only has the sound of Uneven Structure been growing and changing with this new album, but also the band internally. With Arnaud Verrier on drums (ex Zuul FX and Kadinja) and Steeves Hostin (Beyond The Dust) as guitarist the band is more than perfectly prepared to continue their legacy, but also to open a new chapter in their musical career by performing mindblowing live shows all over the world.

Line Up:
Arnaud Verrier - Drums
Benoit Friedrich - Bass
Igor Omodei -  Guitar, Production, Videos
Jérôme Colombelli - Guitar
Matthieu Romarin - Vocals, Production
Steeves Hostin - Guitar

THE ROYAL announce new album 'Seven' & reveal video for 'Wildmind'

THE ROYAL have released their new single and video 'Wildmind' off their upcoming album Seven, which was premiered by Revolver Magazine and Morecore.de last week.

Guitarist JD Liefting comments:

"This song is about doing what you really want to do in life. In this society it is very hard to really pursue your goals and dreams and a lot of people just let go of them completely over time and will tell you that it is impossible, that people who try to fight for their dreams are simply not realistic. But that's nonsense. It is hard because society is not built on dreams, it’s built on whatever it needs. But if you keep believing in yourself and keep working hard you can do whatever you want to do and be truly free."

Check out the video here:

Seven will be released worldwide on March 31st on Long Branch Records, pre-orders are available here: http://theroyal.lnk.to/SevenPR?mc_cid=289041b910&mc_eid=c0fdde66a9

Taking influence from the whole metal spectrum to create their unique brand of metalcore, Dutch 5-piece THE ROYAL are about to make a huge global impact with their very first label released record Seven on Long Branch Records.

Formed in Eindhoven late 2012, these five ambitious young men began writing and recording DIY style and displayed incredible promise in poignant and powerful writing from the off. They self-released their EP, Origins, in 2012 and their single, 'Blind Eye', in 2013, followed by their first full-length Dreamcatchers in 2014, gaining huge momentum on the continent. Support shows with the likes of Architects and Breakdown Of Sanity, and slots at Jera On Air and Impericon Festival followed, further elevating the band’s status throughout Europe.

THE ROYAL fuse metal, groove and melody, delivered with the precision and style of a band who are well beyond their years. This, combined with their flowing vocals and thoughtful lyrics, and their stellar live performance, shows that THE ROYAL is a force to be reckoned with.

2017 will see the band tour throughout Europe - dates to be announced soon.
