DEATH REMAINS and BEAR announce co-headline UK tour

Metal/hardcore five-piece Death Remains and tech metallers BEAR have announced a co-headline tour, which will see them bring their chaotic live shows to venues across the UK.

Both bands will be touring in support of their latest releases: Death Remains released their latest album Destroy/Rebuild on Transcend Music, whilst BEAR released their new album /// via Basick Records earlier this year.

Dates for the tour are as follows:

09/07/2017 - Newark, Tech-Fest (BEAR only)
10/07/2017 - Edinburgh, Opium
11/07/2017 - Glasgow, Nice N Sleazy
12/07/2017 - Stoke, The Exchange
13/07/2017 - Birmingham, Subside

Death Remains' classic metalcore inspirations are very much apparent; hints of August Burns Red and Killswitch Engage form the foundation, however the grooves of Korn and Deftones also shine through, and the band’s melodic sensibility can be likened to Funeral For A Friend and Saosin. Bringing all this together, Death Remains have created something new, fresh and incredibly moreish with their latest album Destroy/Rebuild.

Check out the band's latest single 'Hardships' here

BEAR's critically acclaimed release /// is their most evocative and vitriolic album to date, comprising of 11 blistering tracks of crushingly heavy rhythms, distorted harmonies and demonic growls. Bearing resemblance to tech metal forerunners Meshuggah and the no-nonsense aggression of The Dillinger Escape PlanBEAR exude a stylistic chaotic quality which stands them head and shoulders above their peers.

HACKTIVIST announce new co-vocalist JOT MAXI and reveal '2 Rotten'

As vital as they’ve ever been – if not more so in the world's current climate - HACKTIVIST are back. They return with new vocalist and brother-in-arms Jot Maxi, following the amicable departure of Ben Marvin, and are set to take on the main stage at Download Festival.

To celebrate HACKTIVIST have released a new version of Outside The Box’s grimecore standout 'Rotten', which featured Jot himself, titled '2 Rotten'.

Check out the video here:

“2 Rotten is a strong enough platform for Jot to show the world what he's all about,” says guitarist / producer Timfy James. "Jot has brought many different new qualities to the mix – new and exciting flows, song concepts and general craziness. He fits in well, almost like he's always been there. What does the future hold? Expect filth and fire coming your way.”

"I remember seeing J [HurleyHacktivist co-frontman] on a night out and him telling me they'd just started a next-level new band,” adds Jot. "Once I'd met the rest of the guys there was talk about a collaboration and eventually I wrote the bars for the first version of Rotten. The rest is history really, it worked so well that when Ben announced he was leaving we all mutually felt it was only natural that I'd be the one to step in."

'2 Rotten' follows HACKTIVIST's Over-Throne EP, debut album Outside The Box (both 2016) and 2013’s self-titled EP. New music is coming. Be ready.
