CANVAS reveal video for 'Haunt You' & announce November UK tour with FALL OF MINERVA
CANVAS_LEAD PHOTO_web.jpg

Just weeks away from releasing their debut album Worry via Basick RecordsCANVAS have revealed the video for new single 'Haunt You'. Taken from the record, out on the 6th October 2017, the track follows previous singles 'Medicate Me' and 'Hospital Beds'.

Originally premiered via Dreambound, watch the video here: https://youtu.be/_8EM4M5JeDs

Vocalist Ricky Clarke says of 'Haunt You':

"'Haunt You' is a track that I hold very close to my heart. A track that I have been wanting to write for a very long time but could never quite find the right words.

I’m not one for talking about my personal struggles and battles as openly as some may be able to do. 'Haunt You' has been the first time I have confidently been able to talk about my mental health issues / sleep paralysis in the most honest way I could. This track helped me get a lot off of my chest and if it can resonate with anybody and help them find some comfort for a while I am okay with that!

This is why the video had to be perfect, visually representing something that is always hanging over you, looming in the background like a dark shadow that never goes away. Living life in a bad dream."

CANVAS have also announced a UK weekender tour for November, joined by special guests and label mates Fall Of Minerva. The short run will follow the band's UK/European tour in October.

Bands that well and truly hit you at the core - whether it's through crushing heaviness or pure emotional atmosphere - are very hard to come by nowadays, yet CANVAS' take on post-hardcore is as hard-hitting as it gets.

Not ones to shy away from getting their hands dirty within their own creations and taking a heavy DIY approach, the quintet have spent the last couple of years jumping in their van and playing shows anywhere and everywhere from clubs and houses, to garages and practice spaces.

CANVAS are:

Vocals - Ricky Clarke
Bass - Jack Rogers
Guitar - Daniel Marsh
Guitar - Christopher Vernon
Drums - Jon Vernon

Italian Tech-Metallers Damned Spring Fragrantia return with new EP and single
_DSC6080R_LEADIMAGE small.jpg

Parma's DAMNED SPRING FRAGRANTIA return with new EP Chasm, set for release on 17 November via Basick Records.

The band also release new video 'Float', check it out here: https://youtu.be/BtDRsEUoxoM

Now with new guitarist Dario Zatti on board, Chasm marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Italian mob. Pre-order the EP via Basick Supplies here.

Of the new record, vocalist Nicolò Carrara comments:

"Writing this EP was a very cathartic experience. The amount of attention to detail in every riff, in every vocal line, in every song structure, was unprecedented. We threw away lots of ideas to make room for only what every one of us thought was perfect, innovative, and mature. This was obtainable only through the strong and resonant artistic vision of the members of DSF."

Damned Spring Fragrantia came into existence in 2006 during the members' high school years in Parma (IT), starting out primarily as a Metalcore/Deathcore band. The quintet's first few years were spent playing anywhere and everywhere, whilst recording their first two EPs Emptiness - Fragments Of A Decayed Society and Damned Spring Fragrantia, released in 2009 and 2011 respectively. Both demonstrated the inclusion of more progressive and mathcore elements to the band's sound, taking influences from Ion DisonnanceThe Chariot and The Acacia Strain

By 2012, the band had signed to Basick Records, who went on to release debut full-length, Divergences - a record which was mixed and mastered at Domination Studio (San Marino).

During the years that followed, the band focused on promoting the album in Europe and subsequently played several tours, appearing at UK Tech-Fest and supporting some of the most important bands in the scene such as TesseracTVeil Of Maya and Northlane. In 2016, the band welcomed a new guitarist and by mid-2017 had a brand new EP recorded. Chasm will be released November 17th 2017.

Autumn tour dates will soon be announced.

TRACK AND FIELD announce debut album Natural Light & reveal new single 'Simple Life'
Track and Field - Promo 3 - credit to Graham Berry.jpg

Indie rock/emo quartet Track and Field have confirmed that they'll be releasing their debut album Natural Light on the 10th November through Beth Shalom Records.

In light of the announcement the band have released the video for 'Simple Life', the first taste of the new record.

Originally premiered via Upset, watch the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q__bJHWg8RE

See Track and Field live at one of the following shows:

04.11.2017 - Bolton, The Alma Inn
24.11.2017 - London, Birthdays

Track and Field are a band with a punk rock past, seemingly at odds with their melodic present. The indie emo four piece from Leeds, UK, features current and ex-members of The Plight and grindcore outfit The Afternoon Gentlemen – strange bedfellows for a band whose sound has been described by Glasswerk as having “hazy melodic vibes... not since Taking Back Sunday’s debut record have we heard emo that’s been this well executed.”

The hardcore scene was an essential proving ground for the band, allowing them to sharpen their skill-set to a knifepoint before they began to cut a path out of their comfort zone with Track and Field. Between them, frontman and guitarist Michael Grogan, guitarist Jonathan Kirk, bassist Daniel Comlay and drummer John Defenzi have played in over 100 cities across 15 countries, on more than 20 tours. As part of The PlightTrack and Field members have played Reading and Leeds and Download Festival, while The Afternoon Gentlemen have sold over 8,000 physical records worldwide. These are no rookies, and their experience shows in their work with Track and Field

In 2015, Track and Field self released their first EP You Are My Home. The EP’s single ‘World’ was played by Daniel P Carter on his BBC Radio 1 Rock Show, and off the back of it the band trended on both the AOL homepage and in the Huffington Post’s UK news section. The EP is cinematic and introspective, showing an emotional and musical maturity that the band have continued to on build ever since.

Their work may seem far removed from the DIY stages their punk and grind projects inhabit, but the principles are the same. Their indie rock is honest and hard-hitting, emotional and charged with adrenaline.

First premiered via Metal Hammer, 'Atlas' is the genre-bending band at their finest. Shades of IncubusDeftones, and even Linkin Park, mark Chrysalis' new single as a group at the top of the game, following previous single 'Out of my Hands' which landed on Billboard’s Top 40 Mainstream Rock chart and led to a tour spot with NonpointNine Shrines and Hinder.

About Chrysalis:

The California-based band self-released their first full length album (titled simply Chrysalis) in 2006, while members of the band were still in high school. It became one of CDBaby.com's all-time best selling in its genre & landed them a stint on the Vans Warped Tour.

The band's second album, Focus On The Center, was critically acclaimed, receiving heavy rotation on US radio throughout the country, the third-most added album in its genre in the first week of availability.

Supported by fans via a successful crowdfunding campaign, Chrysalis toured the entire United States in 2014 and haven't stopped since, playing 250+ dates nationwide. In early 2016, the band headed into the studio with Grammy nominated producer Ulrich Wild (DeftonesPanteraIncubus) to begin work on new material. The resulting album titled Reminder was released January 13th, 2017.
