DAMNED SPRING FRAGRANTIA came into existence in 2006 during the members' high school years in Parma (IT), starting out primarily as a Metalcore/Deathcore band. The quintet's first few years were spent playing anywhere and everywhere, whilst recording their first two EPs Emptiness - Fragments Of A Decayed Society and Damned Spring Fragrantia, released in 2009 and 2011 respectively. Both demonstrated the inclusion of more progressive and mathcore elements to the band's sound, taking influences from Ion Disonnance, The Chariot and The Acacia Strain.
By 2012, the band had signed to Basick Records, who went on to release debut full-length, Divergences - a record which was mixed and mastered at Domination Studio (San Marino).
During the years that followed, the band focused on promoting the album in Europe and subsequently played several tours, appearing at UK Tech-Fest and supporting some of the most important bands in the scene such as TesseracT, Veil Of Maya and Northlane. In 2016, the band welcomed a new guitarist and by mid-2017 had a brand new EP recorded. Chasm will be released November 17th 2017.
Autumn tour dates will soon be announced.

Since 2011, Aaron Marshall / INTERVALS has been Canada's premier ambassador of progressive, instrumental guitar music. From 2012's innovative staple EP In Time through to 2015's widely-lauded The Shape of Colour, Marshall has consistently been the voice of instrumental, guitar driven rock/metal from the north. The latest offering The Way Forward represents the natural evolution of Aaron's sound, effortlessly melding high energy riff driven rock, with lush, ethereal soundscapes, whilst consistently driving home memorable, thought provoking hooks. In 2016, Marshall toured in support of The Shape of Colour, headlining across North America and also as direct support to instrumental metal alumni, Animals As Leaders across Europe and North America. While becoming a household name in instrumental, guitar driven music, Intervals is poised to ascend beyond the glass ceiling in support of The Way Forward.
Says Marshall of the new album, “I'm really excited to begin sharing music from this album with everyone. This record is special to me in the sense that I really tried to channel some of the things that excited and interested me in music when I initially discovered my passion for it as a kid. 'The Way Forward' is a really interesting literary concept to me in the context of this record. While I explored some new ground with these songs, I managed to find those elements by way of acknowledging my past.”

BIG DUMB FACE, the revived project from Wes Borland, has unveiled new video 'Jesus Retreats' and released new album Where Is Duke Lion? He's Dead... via Edison Sound, just in time for Halloween.
Watch 'Jesus Retreats' here: https://youtu.be/nt5uuARSVj4
When asked for a quote, Big Dumb Face commented: "Quote? You don't need a quote. Just watch it; it's f*cking ridiculous. Get away from me."
Where Is Duke Lion? He's Dead... is BDF's first full-length release since Duke Lion Fights The Terror!! (2001), and tells the story of the powers of evil triumphing over our hero. Once again, BDF also features Wes' brother Scott Borland.
This is Wes Borland's first release since his 2016 solo record Crystal Machete.
Purchase WIDL?HD here: http://radi.al/BigDumbFace
----
Rarely has a side project provided such a creative outlet for the madcap, surreal and bizarre. WIDL?HD is an album which redefines musical eccentricity, genre-less and unbounded - noise, death metal, electronic, steel pan samples, grindcore and more all collide in a maelstrom of musical images. This is not to say though that the record is without direction; indeed, the pacing and track order makes for a compelling listen – from the rip-snorting Zargon Moth or the off-kilter melodicism of Jesus Retreats to the relatively more tranquil The Blood Maiden or the whack-ballad of WDATGGG.
Unsurprisingly, for an artist overflowing with as many ideas as Wes Borland (with his brother Scott), WIDL?HD is a multi-layered record which rewards on multiple listens. Listen once and you’re carried away on a tide of musical energy and riffs; twice, and you begin to appreciate the unique production, mixing and sheer level of varied sounds and samples within.
Nowhere is this better summed up than in the behemoth of a closer: Whipping The Hodeus. An eighteen-minute monster, the track combines a grotesque southern country ballad with cinematic rural soundscape, disco funk, and finally, grind/deathcore. You really do have to hear it to believe it.

Blackened tech-metal project ECHOPRAXIA has released new EP Pumpkin Palace for Halloween and is also streaming it in full.
Check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJtXope8eHE
This follows the Metal Injection's premiere of new video 'Ratzinger's Waltz', check it out here: https://youtu.be/JcxCOzMyvtY
Echopraxia’s second EP is five instrumental cinematic tracks inspired by composer Danny Elfman’s 'Halloween' theme, as well as his score for 'The Nightmare Before Christmas'. Influences also include the jazz innovator Django Reinhardt, the rhythmically aberrant Vildhjarta, the blackened darkness of Dimmu Borgir and J.S. Bach, a cornerstone of western melody.
The resulting combination of these influences is a haunting, abrasive, intricately melodic and dynamically heavy listen, with a cheeky touch of humour.
Pumpkin Palace needs to be the Halloween soundtrack for every metal fan.

Forming in July 2017, you don't get much newer than alternative hardcore band LIFETIGHT, who are streaming their debut EP Self-Tightled ahead of its release on 3rd November via Crooked Noise Records.
First premiered via Impericon, check out the EP in full here: https://soundcloud.com/crooked-noise-records/sets/lifetight-self-tightled/s-dDNfb
In the band's own words:
"LIFETIGHT is a band built on positive energy and our upcoming EP Self-Tightled is purely built upon riffs fuelled by that energy! We're stoked to be releasing this with Crooked Noise as they've shown interest from the beginning and seem to know the exact vibe we're going for. Basically, they understand us completely, and we like that."
Rising from the ashes of Lock & Key, LIFETIGHT’s Self-Tightled is a straight-up, no-holds-barred, two-stepping alternative hardcore EP in the finest traditions of the genre. For fans of Hatebreed and Beartooth, the band draw on personal experiences in writing the EP (mental health, the military) to create this positive energy.
The band have had a busy Autumn, playing Deadbolt Festival (alongside Oceans Ate Alaska, WSTR, and more), Canvas’ album release show in London, and Our Hollow, Our Home’s inaugural one-day festival, Holloween.
Championed by Alex Baker of Kerrang! Radio (“They are LIFETIGHT and I’m stoked to be playing them”) the band have also already achieved success on Spotify, being added to official playlists by the likes of Impericon and Fronz from Attila's ‘The Sickest’. This is a fast-building band built purely on positivity in an impressively short space of time.

UK punk/emo rockers KidBrother release their new single/video for 'Moon' (SaySomething Records), with the single release show set for November 07 at London's The Monarch.

A highly personal song, 'Moon' showcases the band at their most vibrant and honest. KidBrother comment:
"There was something unusual about ‘MOON’ when it was written, the lyrics and music fell out of our hands and formed a little too easily. It was in a period where everything I was writing was just nonsensical garbage, to the point that I wondered why I was even bothering at all.
That was until I was sent the work of a very dear friend of mine that I hadn’t spoken to in a long while, her work was so fluid and dynamic, so desperately honest it made my whole-body ache, like someone you love handing you a daisy chain made of stinging nettles that they spent hours tying together.
So I wrote about her: how I wished that I could write with that same candour and integrity, about our relationship in school, how I should’ve been a better friend, how I shouldn’t have thought it as a ‘toxic environment’ and blamed other people, like they were the reason we grew apart, how she was always extending a hand and how I just left it hanging there."
A band who've played alongside Trade Wind and No Trigger in 2017, KidBrother are already looking forward to 2018. Stay tuned for further news for this special band, led by the unique dual vocals of Jamie and the high-pitched cleans of Ffin (also on bass). Sitting somewhere between Citizen, Pinegrove, Balance & Composure and more besides, KidBrother will be supported on their single launch show by labelmates Sick Joy, as well as Eva Plays Dead and Projector.

Check out the band's video for their latest single 'Save Your Breath': http://www.vevo.com/watch/wild-lies/Save-Your-Breath/UKFY31600026
WILD LIES blur the boundaries between the hedonistic golden age of hard rock - Guns ‘n’ Roses, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin - with the aggression, crunch and attitude of modern metal heroes such as Bullet For My Valentine and Avenged Sevenfold.
On the surface, they stride forwards with towering hooks, insistent melodies and layered vocal harmonies, yet digging just a little deeper will uncover the technicality that enables them to fluidly switch between hard rock, heavy metal and even a smidgeon of alternative rock.
The quintet aren't shy of the road, having paid their dues with thousands of kilometres in their van following shows with Biters, Edguy, Gun, Nekrogoblikon and The Dead Daisies as well as festival action at Download Festival, Sonisphere and Camden Rocks. With their debut album and many more huge singles on the horizon, it’s only a matter of time before this band are filling arenas the size of their hooks. The first chapter of a much bigger story is firmly underway.

UK rockers Of Allies are streaming their stunning new video for 'Collapse', ahead of their debut LP Night Sky (November 17 2017).
First premiered on Kerrang!, you can now watch the thumping new track here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ndwQu-gZMM
As Kerrang! state: There’s a lot of influences going on here, think of those atmospheric Arcane Roots riffs, mixed with the alternative grandeur of Deftones, but with a slight Breaking Benjamin twang. Not bad at all lads!
Of Allies have already caught the eyes and ears of other notable UK press and industry, including Metal Hammer, Marshall Amps, and radio play on Huw Stephens’ Radio 1 show, Alex Baker's Kerrang! Radio Fresh Blood show and BBC Introducing. The band have also found success on Spotify Official playlisting with recent singles '17', 'Lost Not Found', and 'Glass House': Rock United, New Noise, Rock Your Block, New Rock Now playlists, amongst others.
This comes as no surprise as the band boast an undeniably British stamp; a thick, multi-layered sound that is fast becoming Of Allies' trademark. For fans of Twin Atlantic, Breaking Benjamin, Deftones, Lower Than Atlantis and Fightstar, Of Allies tread the lines between alternative rock, melodic rock and UK rock whilst always hinting at something darker.
Having recently played a hometown show with TesseracT, Withernsea Festival and Humber Street Sesh Festival, the band are booking in shows for the Autumn. Stay tuned for more news.
