The album questions the origins of spirituality and the creation of God-like figures through a psychological and mental state of mind. By combining technical prowess, philosophical landscapes and colossal vocal styles as shown in their live performance, Fractal Universeexceeds expectations and have established themselves as an exhilarating and an intoxicating progressive death metal band.

"The video was shot during the "Engram of Decline" Release Show, on April 14th 2017, at le Gueulard and in Nilvange. It was a very special show for us, as it was the first from our album tour, and the first time ever playing the tunes live!"

Fractal Universe this week premiered ‘Venemous Coils of a Holy Fallacy’ on It Djents and ‘Sons of Ignorance’ on Bring The Noise, and will soon embark on a European tour in 2018.

Bands do not get fresher than WINCHESTER, a brand new group who publicly launch this week, with the announcement of their stunning debut LP Life Begins At These Dead Ends(February 09 release).

Although young, WINCHESTER are a band with a promising array of sounds. The eclectic alt-rockers tastefully mix elements of technical rock/metal, metalcore, alt-rock and melodic rock. Influenced by the likes of Fightstar, Funeral for a Friend, Deftones and Biffy Clyro, WINCHESTER utilise powerful riffs, versatile rhythms and emotional lyrics.

Life Begins... establishes the band as a group to keep eyes on. Writing and recording while still music students, the threepiece’s first effort has been produced by Dan Weller (Enter Shikari), and mastered by Dick Beetham.  

The video above for 'Life Begins' is the first in a multi-media narrative, combining to tell a continuing tale. WINCHESTER's 2018 plans, beyond releasing their LP, will see them play their first shows and tours further into the year.

Instrumental Prog artist CHRIS SCHIERMANN has streamed his new self titled album - ‘Schiermann’ to coincide with the albums release on 8th December.

Throughout the duration of time in which Chris has been writing, his new material certainly possess the qualities in which instrumental quality, technical prowess and undeniable ability are central to the atmospheres created through listening to ‘Schiermann’. The third track ‘Stygian Path’ epitomises this perfectly, describing the long and gruesome battle between ancient warriors through changing riffs, wondrous melodies and contrasting harmonies. Chris’ primary inspiration Randy Rhoads and his distinctive sound is evident in this release, creating new dimensions of finesse and musical intelligence.

Chris has become a well known figure in the technical music community having equipped his Nebraska home with a recording studio, jamming space and BBQ/hang out spots for fellow musicians. On top of this, Chris has performed with the likes of Matt Gartska (Animals as Leaders), Chris Maresh (Eric Johnson) and Dream Theater, making this release not only a celebration of his material but the merging of progressive and tech metal influences.

With a live show in the works, Chris will be touring relentlessly throughout the UK and US throughout 2018.

French metallers outfit RESOLVE have released the video for their latest single 'Navel-Gazing', taken from their debut EP Rêverie. 

For fans of Architects and While She Sleeps, 'Navel-Gazing' is the band's angriest track yet, packed with heavy riffs that weave between softer verses, contrasting between dark and light and creating an impressively mature sound for a band on their debut release.

British heavy prog psych chiefs BOSS KELOID have signed a worldwide deal with Holy Roar Records and are set to release their highly anticipated third album in Spring 2018.
