The band have also announced their first ever London (UK) show at Thousand Island show 22 June.

Things To Place On The Moon, produced by Chris Kreutzfeldt (CABAL, Scarred By Beauty),  follows the release of their first EP Insomnia. It’s a catchy yet aggressive album, which combines influences from Protest The Hero to King Crimson. The band’s love for effects and pedals contributes to create a unique atmosphere, with a variety of complex melodies.

Formed in 2015, the band have already played many festivals, including Slam-it, Distortion Festival, Thy Rock, and Prime Is Coming. They have also caught the attention of a wide range of international press, including Prog Sphere and IT DJENTS.

THE WORD ALIVE premiere new song and music video
TWA Black crop.jpg

The Word Alive have premiered their new song "Why Am I Like This?" with a music video. The new song comes after the band's announcement of their fifth studio album, Violent Noise, and first single "Red Clouds", which thematically revisits the band's origins. Violent Noise is slated for release on May 4 via Fearless Records

Vocalist Telle Smith explains that "Why Am I Like Is?" is about: "pursuing something that more than likely you know you shouldn't or that might not be the healthiest choice for you. The last two years I experienced making choices that took me further away from who I wanted to be, and I was living in the moment with no regard for how it would effect me or someone else. It's about finding that person who is kind of the devil on your shoulder, and you want them to tell you what you're doing is ok so you can rationalize it and justify it."

Pre-order Violent Noise here: http://smarturl.it/violentnoise

The band's fifth record Violent Noise is yet another step in the evolution of the highly impressive group, who reached as high as #31 on the Billboard Top 200 with previous release Dark Matter.

Now a trio - Tyler “Telle” Smith [vocals], Zack Hansen [guitars], Tony Pizzuti [guitars] - Violent Noise represents the culmination of a decade of a band and an unbreakable bond. In many ways, THE WORD ALIVE set the stage for the next progression on Violent Noise with Dark Matter. They've re-teamed with the producer behind their last offering,Matt Good [Asking Alexandria, From First To Last], and followed a similar spirit unafraid to experiment.

Previously touring alongside the likes of Killswitch Engage, A Day To Remember, Motionless in White and more, THE WORD ALIVE are set to tour the US with In This Moment prior to the release of new album Violent Noise. UK dates are to be announced for later in the year, more news soon.

The Word Alive hit the road on April 8 as direct support to In This Moment, with additional support from Ded, on The Witching Hour Tour through April 28. The band play select dates as support to Killswitch EngageHatebreed, and Memphis May Fire throughout the month of May. AWOOGA unveil 'Blue Rose' video on album release day
awooga_conduit-campaign_C_redux.jpg

AWOOGA have unveiled new video ‘Blue Rose’, taken from their debut album Conduit released today via Rockosmos.

Check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AAyFQL_dPY /
http://vevo.ly/wkBqWI

'Blue Rose' is the third single from Conduit, the debut album by Sheffield Spacedoom grunge titans AWOOGA, perfectly capturing the band's default state : huge singalong melodies with crushing weightiness.

Bassist and Singer, Tam Ali,  commented:  “The symbol of a Blue Rose is that of the impossible. Often it is the clue that the observer is merely the dreamer in a dreamstate.“

The band streamed Conduit ahead of release via Echoes and Dust, check it out here: https://www.echoesanddust.com/2018/04/album-stream-awooga-conduit/

AWOOGA are getting ready to tour Europe in May with Amplifier, dates:

Netherlands - Fri 4 May - Helmond The Cacaofabriek
Germany – Sun 6 May – Dresden Beatpol
Germany – Mon 7 May – Berlin Musik Und Frieden
Germany – Tues 8 May – Osnabruck – Kleine Freiheit
Germany – Thurs 10 May – Aschaffenburg ColosSaal
Switzerland - Fri 11 May - Luzern - Konzerthaus Schüür
Germany – Sun 13 May – Munich Orangehouse
Germany – Mon 14 May – Stuttgart Kellar Klub
Germany – Tues 15 May – Koln Luxor
Germany – Weds 16 May – Hamburg Knust
Netherlands - Thurs 17 May - Boerderij, Zoetermeer
UK - Sun 27 May - Bristol Exchange

A culmination of a year’s work resulting in a deep, heavy, tranquil and visceral record, Conduit is set to establish AWOOGA as one of the UK’s most exciting and unique acts in 2018.

Following on from 2016’s debut Alpha EP, AWOOGA have further explored the boundaries of dismal sludge and euphoric space to create something that that is very much their own. Conduit is a vast soundscape that fills nearly every wave-length, touches on every emotion. It flows, it confuses, it’s conflicted and it’s beautiful. It is AWOOGA.

Inspiration from Frank Zappa, Alice in Chains and Tool is immediately apparent, AWOOGA also give a nod to Miles Davis, who was a champion of musical diversity and one of the world’s greatest artists.

AWOOGA have performed at festivals such as Crooked Ways, Tramlines festival supporting Anathema and KAYA festival with Asian Dub Foundation, an impressive feat for a band with only one EP released. This year will see them tour far and wide with many more headline and festival dates to follow.

The first single, 'Waterhole', was released last month. Check it out here: https://youtu.be/Jw5iVSQUglY

Returning to work with Murdock’s Aidan Cunningham, BAILER is relentless from the get-go as the merciless ‘Lying For A Living’ brings the listener up to speed in a riotous fashion, while the likes of ‘Tuesday Blues’ and ‘Death Is A Reminder’ take a filthier route, reminiscent of Cancer Bats. Since forming in 2015 BAILER have pricked the ears of many other musicians, with some familiar faces lending their vocals to this latest EP. Adam Carroll formerly of Zoax, Xander Coughlan of Emigra and Kevin ‘Lefty’ Letford of Red Enemy all feature, adding their own slice of character to the record.

With a small discography the four-piece have impressively garnered attention from Metal Hammer, Kerrang! Radio presenter Alex Baker, Metal Injection and Heavy Blog Is Heavy, an achievement that is no mean feat for a band so early into their career. BAILER have spent their short time as a band building up a strong reputation in their home ground, having played shows alongside Norma Jean, Sick Of It All, Employed To Serve, HECK, Murdock, Shields, Red Enemy and more.

French progressive metallers The Dali Thundering Concept are streaming their new album Savages ahead of its release on 13 April.

Premiered via Heavy Blog Is Heavy, check it out here:

Check them out on Tour with Jinjer in May :

15.05. BERLIN (DE) Musik & Frieden
16.05. BOCHUM (DE) Rockpalast
17.05. KÖLN (DE) Jungle Club
18.05. FRANKFURT (DE) Nachtleben
19.05. EICHSTÄTT (DE) Open Air Am Berg

Savages is a dark projection of the future of humanity, should it not take drastic action to alter its course. What are the consequences of the global warming, the rise of right-wing populism and the politics of nostalgia, the growing rich-poor divide? According to THE DALI THUNDERING CONCEPT the future is very bleak.

Low-tuned riffs, crushing grooves and painfully abrasive vocals deliver this message with huge effect and urgency, however there is a glimmer of hope, illustrated by hints of electronica and even jazz. It’s an album of anger, suffering, despair and conflict, with many twists and turns; an impressive achievement for a band so young in their career.
