Heavy Prog Psych Band BOSS KELOID Stream Critically Acclaimed Album 'Melted On The Inch' in Full on Release Day (Holy Roar Records)
Boss Keloid_1.jpg

British heavy prog psych band BOSS KELOID have stunned critics with their evolution in sound and style from the band's previously relentlessly heavy psych sludge to a dominant multi-dimensional progressive force. Today the band releases Melted On The Inch via Holy Roar Records, first premiered by Metal Hammer where the band also take the listener on a guide through each track, you can now listen to the album here:

Stream the record here

The band comments: "For us, Melted On The Inch is a strong progression from Herb Your Enthusiasm. It draws from a much wider pond of influence than our previous. It is more progressive, more uplifting, more melancholic, more emotional, more dynamic, there is a greater emphasis on light and shade, it is heavier, it is more delicate, it has more beauty, it has more darkness.“

Body swerving trends once again, Melted On The Inch is six anthemic tracks showcasing a matured, evolved BOSS KELOID, as the Wigan based quintet continue to flirt with new genres. Littered with unmistakably Boss Keloidy riffs, Melted On The Inch continues to disrupt notions of genre and song structure. This is rousing, heavy tinged progressive rock music as Boss Keloid daringly hold, dip and release the reins of the mighty riff whilst Alex Hurst's bellowing, primal vocals, which are more dynamic than ever, enthrallingly envelop each track. These are undoubtedly the biggest, most intense songs BOSS KELOID have ever written. This is their line in the sand and the results are inspiring.

Melted On The Inch is now available from Holy Roar Records in the UK/EU here and Deathwish Inc in the USA here

Cinematic Metallers The Ever Living Draw You Into Their Virtual World via Video 'New Mutiny'
TELgroup2 with logo.png

London cinematic post-metal quintet THE EVER LIVING have unveiled 'New Mutiny', the second single and video which shows the band at their most melodic, ferocious and grand. 'New Mutiny' is taken from the band's debut album Herephemine which is released on May 4th via Chromism Records.

The band previewed the track via Nine Circles earlier this week, with the video premiere appearing via Metal Injection on Thursday.

Check out the new video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5VHUYyVwxo

The 'New Mutiny' video is highly immersive: the story of a child who spends his days watching his family consumed by the Herephemine system, a virtual reality platform. Feeling so strongly that he wants to create rather than consume, he escapes from home and wanders through the city, joining a group of young creators. He ends up co-directing a video for THE EVER LIVING before trouble arrives in the form of a law enforcement officer who is hunting him down.

Keyboardist / vocalist Chris Bevan Lee explains: "I felt like I had a lot to say so there are a few things going on in the video, from the feeling of wanting to create than to consume to the reality of artists having to do a lot more for a lot less for an audience who want everything for free. Setting it in the near future and using technology as a device is a way of exaggerating those concerns."

The video complements the band's debut album Herephemine, a 12-track transcendental journey through darkness, euphoria and dense atmosphere.

Pre-order here:

CD & 2XLP - https://goo.gl/TrzpcA
iTunes - https://goo.gl/skwFKF

As the long awaited follow up to the band’s self-titled debut EP, Herephemine expands on THE EVER LIVING's established sound by further exploring sonic extremes via greater dynamics and deeper production. Clocking in at 66 minutes, THE EVER LIVING fully utilise intensity as much as they do space, creating an immersive world for the listener to explore.

Known for their engrossing performances, THE EVER LIVING will unveil their new live experience at their album launch show on 17 May at Boston Music Room. The band will take the show nationwide later this summer, dates to be announced soon.

British Redneck Sludge Duo St Fenton The Tainted Release New Video 'Death Wanders Home'
1C9A9831.jpg

British redneck sludge duo St Fenton The Tainted have delved straight into the bowels of hell and surrendered their latest video 'Death Wanders Home' on an unsuspecting world.

Check out the video here: https://youtu.be/6yK7Sp0rStY

'Death Wanders Home' is the second single to be released from the truly harrowing, unpleasantly listenable album Jaw of The Tyrant Hills by St Fenton The Tainted, which was premiered via Doomed and Stoned before its release on the 6th April via Hibernacula Records to some applause, minuscule fanfare and a buffet.

Comments ramblin’ frontman Fenton T:

Our original plan for the video was to have a high budget affair and script it out. The idea was that Death was to be played by Brad Pitt and we would place him in a sack and drive him far out into the wilderness and leave him there dressed in nothing but the top half of a badly soiled black unicorn onesie, (try hailing a taxi dressed like that!) Then we would film his trials and tribulations as he tried to find his was home. Sadly, Mr Pitt got wind of our idea and increased his security so we couldn’t do it. So we did this instead.”

Spread across six agonising tracks of suffocating hatred, Appalachian murder ballads and droning swamp rock, Jaw of The Tyrant Hills is the product of deranged, outback rage featuring some of the most downtuned, spirit-breaking, crusty sludge to emerge from Hertfordshire.

Jaw of the Tyrant Hills is out now via Hibernacular Records. Buy it now via Bandcamp

Liverpool metalcore quartet CUT SHORT announce debut EP and release first single
Cut Short Promos-5.jpg

UK metalcore newcomers CUT SHORT will release their debut EP Impersonal on 15th June 2018. Produced by Timfy James of Hacktivist at Old School Studios, Impersonal is a concisely crushing introduction to a violently hungry band set to make big waves in 2018.

Watch the video for 'Solitary', the first single taken from the EP, here: https://youtu.be/QwYsAhvwcIM

From the darkest depths of the North, CUT SHORT are exploding onto the scene with a sound like no other metalcore presence around. Their unique blend of raw emotion and ferocious hooks have left music fans with a firm stomp between the eyes, and mesmerised by their entrancing atmospherics. Comparisons could be made to the likes of Heart of a Coward and Northlane, but they also possess flair and energy that's distinctly their own.

Vocalist Harry Benyon explains: "This release is heavy, melodic and ambient. I have always believed in having melodies to compliment brutal riffs so that neither is too isolated. Each track has a slightly different vibe, so there should be something for everyone. This release also has a strong message/story behind it which is based on personal experience; hopefully this comes across to the listeners as I have put my heart and soul into it."

Formed in January 2018, CUT SHORT are rapidly building a name as one of the UK's most exciting live acts. They have already toured with Remenitions and will soon announce a UK tour to support the release. Dates to be announced in due course.

CUT SHORT are:

Harry Benyon – Vocals
Mikey Anderson – Guitar
Roland Walet – Bass
Kalvin Walton - Drums
