New Jersey based brutal death metal act COGNITIVE have released details for their forthcoming third album and second for Unique Leader 'Matricide'. The album, which will be released on October 26th, shows the band pushing their blistering, chaotic technicality, pummeling brutality, and devastating groove far beyond anything they have done before. 

Guitarist Rob Wharton commented, "The band really took a lot of time with making sure this album was different than our last album 'Deformity'. We were extremely happy with the way that album was received, but wanted to try and offer something different this time around. This album pushed all of us on our instruments, but while being hard to play, we wanted to make sure the songs were fun and catchy. We incorporated a ton of new things into this album, while still making sure it sounded like us. We wanted to be more in your face, while still having some abstract passages in the songs. A lot went into this album and we think it's our best material yet, and we're very excited for everyone to hear it."

The massively heavy 10 track effort was recorded by AJ Viana at Sylar Sound Studios, mixed and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music (Six Feet Under, Hate Eternal, Revocation), and features artwork by the incredible Pedro Sena (Ingested, Analepsy).

Pioneering New York death metal legends INTERNAL BLEEDING have returned with their devastatingly heavy sixth full length album - 'Corrupting Influence', which will see an October 19th release date on Unique Leader Records. 

Featuring all of the raw, crushing, groove heavy aggression that fans have come to expect from the group, the album also sees INTERNAL BLEEDING continuing to push themselves and the sound that they help create in new and unexpected ways.

Founding guitarist Chris Pervelis commented, "'Corrupting Influence' is filled with all of the gut twisting heaviness and groove you'd expect from us, but there's also plenty of unexpected twists that take a listener to places we've never gone before. Vicious Italian death metal group BLOODTRUTH have premiered a lyric video for their song The Last Prophet  via No Clean Singing. The blistering track, of which NCS said "The Last Prophet goes so fast and with such unbridled savagery that it might suck the breath from your lungs", is off of the band's savage new album 'Matryrium' which will see a September 28th release on Unique Leader.

The ferocious 10 track album was mixed and mastered by Italian producer Stefano Morabito at 16th Cellar Studios (Fleshgod Apocalypse, Hour of Penance) and features artwork by Jose Sabogal (Beheaded, Inferno). 

'Martyrium' sees BLOODTRUTH, who were formed in 2009 as a side project of Fleshgod Apocalypse members but now features the lineup of vocalist Luis Maggio, guitarists Stefano Ciucci and Stefano Clementini, bassist Riccardo Rogari, and drummer Giacomo Torti, truly coming into their own as a force to be reckoned with in extreme music. 'Martyrium' is 10 tracks of pure death metal aggression, unrelenting musical intensity, and powerful, acidic, hateful vocals. 

After touring across Europe in support of 'Obedience' with Nile, Suffocation, Antropofagus and Devangelic the group experienced a series of lineup changes, but reconvened in 2017 to begin recording their monstrous new full length Martyrium.

Bearing comparisons to Mastodon, early Trivium, Gojira and even a touch of Carcass, Definition is an album which belies the quartet’s youth.

Musically Prognosis have cultivated their own sound on this record, developing their Ghost EP and 'Drones' single. Labelled once as “Mastodon playing Carcass”, the band include a host of subtle influences which makes Definition a highly rewarding listen. Beyond groove metal, the band also emulate Dream Theater and Muse, the technicality of Jeff Loomis, and the abrasive elements of Death and beyond. Lyrically, the songs are bound together by a concept which looks at the flawed characteristics that define us as humans, such as selfishness, greed and imperiousness. All combined, the band create music that is at once progressive, grounded, over-the-top and ferocious, and well deserving a listen.

To add to the album, co-guitarist/vocalist Phil Weller has penned a book of short stories expanding on the stories. From a dystopian sci-fi tale of survival and a tragic love story (think Steven Wilson meets Romeo and Juliet) to a King who cons his way into heaven, the multi-genre collection reveals the songs in deeper and different lights.
