THE INTERSPHERE release new single 'Antitype'

New album The Grand Delusion out 30th November

German alternative rockers THE INTERSPHERE have released their new single and video for 'Antitype', taken from their forthcoming album The Grand Delusion. The band's fifth studio album - and first since 2014's Relations in the Unseen - will be released 30th November 2018 via Long Branch Records.

Watch the in-studio video for 'Antitype' here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rf5EGNImwWc

Singer and guitarist Christoph Hessler comments:

"Antitype was one of the first songs we wrote for the new album. It forms the basis for the content, from which the overall album idea The Grand Delusion developed. The song describes the social powerlessness in the capitalist system, the illusion of liberal thinking in borderless growth, the physical and emotional self-exploitation, a cynical development that has long since passed the apex of social and societal utility and, historically speaking, inevitably collapses in recurrent cycles.“

Listen to the single and pre-order the record here: https://theintersphere.lnk.to/thegranddelusion

The background for the album The Grand Delusion is the highly subjective question that is not only posed by Paul Watzlawick in his eponymous book, but that has now reached a completely new dimension in the madness of media coverage: How real is reality? The songs are not only concerned with thinking and acting in sociological and societal contexts, in systems, orders and interpretations of reality created by humans, but also with reflecting on oneself, introspection and the question “What foundation is my own reality based on?”.  Almost five years after the last release, and after personal crises and changes, The Grand Delusion is lyrically the most personal album to date from THE INTERSPHERE, but also one of the most varied, loudest and angriest.

Hessler continues: “The production aimed at recording the four main instruments live and as close up, big and detailed as possible, and thus duplication was largely avoided. We also experimented with new open tunings and countless distortion and fuzz pedals that make the sound more distorted and dirty. But there are also a couple of opulently arranged songs that enrich the sounds of The Intersphere with new colours and facets that people have never heard from us before.”

Like its predecessor, Relations in the Unseen, the album was produced by Christoph Hessler and THE INTERSPHERE, recorded live at Toolhouse Studios in Rotenburg (Germany), mixed and co-produced by Moritz Enders and mastered by Robin Schmidt. The artwork was once again created by the band's longtime associate Pierre Schmidt Dromsjel.

Not only are Ghost Iris the leading Danish progressive metalcore band, they serve as a perfect example of modern metal. Since forming as a DIY internet phenomenon in 2015, they have built a strong team behind them and made their mark in the main metal community in a very short space of time.

In 2016 the band were most streamed Danish metal album on Spotify at 1.6 million streams, and at the time of writing their general streams are in excess of 5 million.

Their first two albums Anecdotes Of Science and Soul & Blind World have both received grand praise by Metal HammerKERRANG! and It Djents/Everything Is Noise for their playful, yet catchy approach to technical metal. Technically enhanced, yet melodic guitars, fast-driven, yet groovy drums and an extraordinarily wide vocal range from diverse angry growls to striking clean vocals are the band's signature. With the aim to provide the listener an experience that is as catchy and varied as it is hard-hitting, Ghost Iris manage to explore diverse moods and atmospheres.

The new album was mastered by Buster Odeholm (Humanity's Last Breath, Oceano, Enterprise Earth, Currents) at Impact Studios while the artwork was created by Dixon Jong (Intuitive Designs).

Sludgecore Leviathans MASTIFF Announce New Album; Release New Track

Plague to be released via APF Records 1 February 2019

Track 'Hellcircle' is out NOW

MAINPROMO.jpg

Like a black mould that just won’t clean away, Kingston Upon Hull’s premier misery spreaders MASTIFF have returned from their darkened sewer, bringing with them a viral monstrosity that threatens to infect and destroy music as we know it.

Releasing 1st February 2019Plague is the band’s first full-length album on APF Records, and represents the misanthropic quintet at their most aggressive and unrelenting. Born of their disgust at humanity’s false nature, and the way in which our deceit and lies spread through social media, Plague is the culmination of a lifetime of frustration, hatred and sorrow, filtered through the most brutal and pummelling material MASTIFF have ever concocted.

The band have released their first track 'Hellcircle' from the album, check it out here: https://youtu.be/gUD5sHIMLt4

Plague was wrought from misery itself in the blistering summer of 2018 at Studio 94 in Hull and recorded entirely live in one room with no tracking involved, with track ‘Black Death’ done entirely in one take. It was recorded, mixed and mastered by Mikey Scott.

The self-styled “miserable band from a miserable town” play a combination of sludge, grindcore and aggressive hardcore and have forged their reputation in a live setting, playing every dive and sh*thole in the country. New album Plague is their most formidable to date, spewing out berserk levels of unadorned aggression and intensity.  Across eight tracks of mutable anger, raw power and bitter resignation, MASTIFF manage to capture the sound of a country in its death throes with lyrical content dealing with everything from sorrow and pain to human failure and frustration. From the opening blast of ‘Hellcircle’ to the apocalyptic finality of ‘Black Death’, the album is a work of nail-biting extremity, and finds the band veering wildly from Nails-esque grind into the depths of harrowing doom. The end result, a band that sounds like it’s trying to rip itself apart through music.

Plague follows on from the band's 2016 debut release Wrank and 2017’s EP Bork. In addition to their critically acclaimed releases, MASTIFF have become revered for their rabidly heavy live shows, gigging extensively with an array of artists such as Agnostic Front, Crowbar, Iron Monkey, Conan and Biohazard plus appearing at renowned festivals such as Bloodstock, Deserfest London, Riff-Fest, Techfest and Dreadfest.

Plague will be released via APF Records, 1st February 2019. Ltd edition vinyl pre-orders are now available via APF Records here. CD and digital pre-orders will be available soon.

BRAND OF SACRIFICE release new video 'Eclipse’ via Slam Worldwide
BoS.jpg

Vicious Toronto, ON/Manhattan, NY based brutal death/hardcore group BRAND OF SACRIFICE have released a new music video for their song 'Eclipse' via Slam Worldwide. The track comes from their latest relentlessly bludgeoning EP The Interstice which got released on November 9th via Unique Leader

The group comments of the track, “'Eclipse' is the first song we ever wrote as a band and to this day is still one of our absolute favourites so we felt it was more than fitting to produce an energy-filled, punishing music video.  This also marks the first appearance of new members Liam Beeson (Guitar) and Dallas Bricker (Bass). We hope you enjoy."

Although the group is less than a year old the EP shows a fully realized vision of unbelievable sonic violence and songwriting prowess formed through years of playing in their past bands - The Afterimage and Ascariasis
