The background of The Grand Delusion album is the highly subjective question that is not only posed by Paul Watzlawick in his eponymous book, but that has now reached a completely new dimension in the madness of media coverage: How real is reality? The songs are not only concerned with thinking and acting in sociological and societal contexts, in systems, orders and interpretations of reality created by humans, but also with reflecting on oneself, introspection and the question “What foundation is my own reality based on?”  Almost five years after their last release, and after personal crises and changes, The Grand Delusion is lyrically the most personal album to date from The Intersphere, but also one of the most varied, loudest and angriest.

“The production aimed at recording the four main instruments live and as close up, big and detailed as possible, and thus duplication was largely avoided. We also experimented with new open tunings and countless distortion and fuzz pedals that make the sound more distorted and dirty. But there are also a couple of opulently arranged songs that enrich the sounds of The Intersphere with new colors and facets that people have never heard from us before.”

Like its predecessor, Relations in the Unseen, the album was produced by Christoph Hesslerand The Intersphere, recorded live at Toolhouse Studios in Rotenburg (Germany), mixed and co-produced by Moritz Enders and mastered by Robin Schmidt. The artwork was once again created by the band's longtime associate Pierre Schmidt Dromsjel.

04-08.07.2019 - Newark, UK Tech Fest
31.08.2019 - Torquay, Burn It Down Festival

Hailing from Lincoln, UK, BORDERS are pushing to lead in a new era of heavy music, seamlessly blending genres and styles to forge a crushing yet melodic and unique experience. Since joining forces with new vocalist Jordan 'JJ' Olifent in 2016, BORDERS have been working hard impressing crowds across the UK and Europe with their energetic, powerful live performance. From playing sold-out hometown shows, to supporting Skindred and Whitechapel and appearing at UK Tech-Fest, BORDERS consistently electrify crowds as unchained force Olifent leads the indomitable machine. Lunging from the crowd to the mic and leaving no spot unclaimed, he bends the crowd to his will with gang chants, mosh pits and room splits. While performing alongside Martyr Defiled on their UK/EU farewell tour, Metal Hammer said of their live show: "[Borders are] boasting an energised stage presence and an armada of head-bang-inducing grooves."

Speaking out on modern issues of healthcare, austerity and corruption, the band's Diagnosed EP was released in 2017. It received glowing reviews from Metal Hammer and more, as well as gaining regular radio play on Kerrang’s Fresh Blood, where Alex Baker hailed BORDERS as "behemoths of tomorrow." The songwriting, catchiness, technical prowess and sheer brutality of the record were standout points for critics. The EP theme hit home for Olifent as his lyrical content reflected his own mother’s experiences with cancer and the healthcare system. After she beat the disease with only natural remedies and lifestyle changes, Olifent seeks to pose questions on trust in the healthcare system and the corporate greed that drives pharmaceutical companies to put profits before people.

Purify is an ambitious full-length record which documents a timeline of human corruption; from the wartime atrocities of the Japanese experimental death camps in '731', to modern day political corruption in war, all the way to a bleak vision of future potential healthcare systems in 'Wake Up'. Purify is a statement on the condition of the world today, yesterday and tomorrow that not only sounds incredible but might change the way you look at the world around you. Olifent muses on the development of human corruption; the barbaric human beginnings of mass slaughter against targeted groups may seem a world away to the average citizen, but not only do those atrocities still exist, but corruption and evil has further retreated and disguised itself behind closed doors. A disguise that is easily lifted with information and a willingness to challenge one's own beliefs. Purify is a call for a purge of corruption and a call for the average person to think more about the world they inhabit.

BORDERS are:

Jordan Olifent - Vocals
Gavin Burton - Guitars
Tom Britton - Bass
Daniel Hodson - Drums

Entertainment One sign TEXAS HIPPIE COALITION, new song 'Moonshine' available now
7ba25ddf-691b-47d9-8cf2-fbcdc9f11f4b.jpg

Entertainment One (eOne) have singed Texas USA rock band TEXAS HIPPIE COALITION to a worldwide deal, and will release a brand new LP from the band this spring.

TEXAS HIPPIE COALITION have released a new song called 'Moonshine', which is available on all digital platforms. 'Moonshine' is also available as an iTunes instant grat track, meaning fans who pre-order the new LP on iTunes will receive the track as an instant download.

Check it out on YouTube and Spotify

TEXAS HIPPIE COALITION will release new album  High In The Saddle, on 31st May 2019. High in the Saddle is a record full of unashamed, full-throttle ass kicking. It’s the band’s second pairing with producer Bob Marlette (Black Stone Cherry, Rob Zombie) and sixth album overall, on the heels of their #2. 2 Billboard Heatseekers slab, Dark Side of Black. Pre-orders available now.

Pre-order here: http://smarturl.it/THChighinthesaddle

Album number six kicks off with the alarmingly catchy slither of 'Moonshine'. It oozes everything the band stands for and smells like. A true TEXAS HIPPIE COALITION manifesto, if ever there was one: swampy grooves, Crüe type partying, and a Man in Black style saga.

Backyard barbeques, barroom brawls, tent revivals, and big rock festivals alike are suitable environments for the Red Dirt Metal of TEXAS HIPPIE COALITION, a band with a sound so devilishly electrifying that they had to come up with a new genre to describe it.

BIG DAD RITCH captains this pirate ship of bikers, outlaws, troubadours, and hellraisers, welcoming all comers to the THC party with gregarious charisma and Southern charm. Across a half dozen albums, countless club gigs, and show-stealing performances at Rockstar Mayhem, the band has spread the good word of big riffs, big hooks, and wild times.

Ritch puts the band’s evolution in Old West terms. “In the beginning, you’re an outlaw looking for direction. You gotta get the best guys for the job behind you,” he explains. “Now we know how to rob banks, how to rob stagecoaches, and how to rob trains.”

“I’m just out to have fun, man,” Ritch says with genuine modesty. “I never look at this as something I have to do. It’s something I /get/ to do. I just thank the Lord above that He has given me this talent that has allowed me to garner these wonderful things in life.”

TEXAS HIPPIE COALITION
continues to ride or die for truth-telling, unashamed, Red Dirt Metal badassery, winning over new acolytes every damn day. As Blabbermouth once asked:“How many more reasons do you need to try a little THC? Everybody’s doing it.

Danish Blackgaze Powerhouse MØL Reissue Their First Two EPs as One Package
ef4992f5-56c4-4e75-9dab-df8bf840d8ea.jpeg

Holy Roar take great pride in announcing the reissue of MØL’s first two EP’s,  I and II on June 7th 2019, accentuating the formative years of one of Denmark’s brightest lights in metal.

Where debut LP JORD fully fleshed out their shoegaze-meets-black metal formula to masterful effect, these two early releases showcase the band in a much more raw and unfiltered environment. Not to be confused as lesser-than material or relegated to subpar, I and II both simmer and boil between the ethereal and the vicious. Choice tracks such as ‘Airy’ and ‘Kathexis’present this dichotomy in dizzying fashion, the later pulling deftly from My Bloody Valentine andDrop Nineteens just as much as Altar of Plagues or Deafheaven.

Remastered and repackaged, MØL’s I and II are given a new life entirely. The hybrid of black metal and shoegaze has never sounded quite as spellbinding or masterful as it does in MØL’scase.

After a busy year following the release of their debut album in 2018, MØL have spent their time relentlessly touring, gigging and playing to festival audiences, including supporting Ghost Bathacross Europe and more recently with an incredible appearance at the Gaffa Awards in Denmark. Now the band are set to tour Europe with Rivers of Nihil and Black Crown Initiate. The tour will start with a run of German dates in September, and end in October with a show in Belgium.

Dates are as follows:

0.09.19 Germany, Berlin – Cassiopeia
21.09.19 Germany, Leipzig – Felsenkeller
22.09.19 Germany, Wiesbaden – Schlachthof
23.09.19 Czech Rep, Prague – Nova Chmelnice
