Swedish metal quartet ORBIT CULTURE have unveiled new single / video 'Open Eye' and announced the release of new album 'Nija' on 7th August via Seek & Strike.
Premiered via Metal Hammer Germany, watch 'Open Eye' here
Vocalist / Guitarist Niklas Karlsson commented "With our latest track 'Open Eye' and its violent, filthy tone and thrashy fast-paced style, we decided it was time to reveal the band more in this one to invite you to jump along on this crazy ride. The song and its lyrics are one of the more direct in-your-face tracks on our upcoming record Nija. Expect a fist to the skull that'll force you to the floor and lay exhausted craving for more."
In the deep forests of southern Sweden lies the small town of Eksjö where the band ORBIT CULTURE originate. The idea of ORBIT CULTURE came to vocalist / rhythm guitarist Niklas Karlson in 2013 whilst working on bedroom demos; he quickly formed and early version of the band, which included drummer Markus Bladh.
Citing Metallica and Gojira as their main heavy influences, ORBIT CULTURE are band who love to experiment with wide range of sounds and textures to create something that is fresh but also familiar. Nikas continues: "As much as we love metal, we love other music, too. We love a good hard-hitting song as much as the next guy, but we've always found that blending and mixing genres seems more fun for us at least, rather than deciding on a specific genre to write within the metal scene. It really helps us to be creative and motivated. I'm guessing that is something that we'll always do."
Quickly after forming, ORBIT CULTURE released a self-produced EP and an LP, but it was summer 2016 when two new members joined the band - Richard Hansson on the lead guitar and Fredrik Lennartsson on the bass guitar - and the quartet perfectly honed their distinctive sound.
With the new line-up in place the band set to work on stunning new album Nija and in 2019 caught the attention of the Seek and Strike label, who signed them immediately.
For fans of Trivium, Metallica, Gojira and Architects, ORBIT CULTURE are a band from a small town with big ambitions, and are about to make 2020 their year.

Birthed in Moscow in 2004, KATALEPSY's first demo Femicide brought their first victims to the altar of brutality, and led to the band's first forays beyond Moscow.
In 2007 they spawned their debut full-length Musick Brings Injuries, and blood was spilled in the circle pits and mosh-battles all over Russia. The next year KATALEPSY released a split with partners in crime FLESHROT and BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA, and allowed the band their first tours abroad, including the Swiss festival Mountains of Death ’08 Open Air. Soon, shows and festivals across Europe followed: Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Austria, Czech Republic and Finland all becoming battlefields of unholy beatdowns and technical grooves.
The band inked their record deal with the famed Unique Leader Records following their Your Fear Is Our Inhabitancy EP, and have gone from strength to strength since. Now behold their ferocious new effort, the terrifying Terra Mortuus Est.

Acclaimed Norwegian dark rockers DJERV have released the new video for their comeback single 'Throne'.
Watch 'Throne' here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=plUPUA7Bxmc
Stream: https://orcd.co/throne
The band state: "For 'Throne' we wanted to create a classic rock performance-video, but add a little twist to it. Nothing crazy, just something to make it interesting and to complement the music. Again we teamed up with our friend Jørn Veberg who also made our past videos, and we are super happy with the result. We hope you like it!"
After some tough years for frontwoman Agnete, DJERV are ready to restake their claim as one of the most significant heavy bands coming out of Norway.
Lyrically, the song has a very different approach, telling the story of the band's sudden disappearance back in 2013. Since the single release two weeks ago, the track has already seen support from the BBC R1 Rock Show, among others.
“Today it's almost impossible for me to understand how bad I felt at times,” Agnete (vocals) says. The strain of carrying two children in less than two years, combined with serious health issues sent Agnete spiraling down into deep depression, eventually landing her in the psychiatric ward. “I totally lost my footing in life, and for years I was unable to function normally. It is still a fight, and I am not fully recovered – but I know now that I will get there,” she says.
“Too many people go through this, and the stigma around the disease that is depression is still all too present. So, I wanted to be open about my experience, and hopefully help others struggling to realize they are not alone. That it is not their fault, and that it can, and will get better with time. Throne is about fighting yourselves, your mind, and reclaiming control of your life. Reclaiming the Throne, and again be the ruler of your own kingdom.” Agnete comments.
2020 will also see at least 3 more DJERV singles and video releases, and an album is also in the making.
“We don’t have a set release date for a new album yet. As things are now we just have to take it song by song. But that's quite interesting and it makes it easier to focus. The task in front of you is not too unachievable, as I feel an album would be at this point. Baby steps,” comments Agnete.
DJERV entered the international heavy music scene in 2011 with a debut record well ahead of its time. Engineered by Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, In Flames) and mixed by Matt Hyde (Deftones, No Doubt) the self-titled album received critical acclaim from Sweden Rock Magazine, Metal Hammer UK, Terrorizer and Rock Tribune.
Charting at #8 in the official Norwegian charts, DJERV toured heavily, including with Ministry, and performed at Hellfest, Wacken, Eurosonic, and more.
Vocalist Agnete also contributed to Dimmu Borgir's most-streamed song 'Gateways', and the League of Legends song 'Get Jinxed', which now has well over 90,000,000 views on YouTube.

US post-hardcore troupe REVISIONIST have released their new single/video for 'Salient Rite'.
Premiered via Deadpress, you can now stream 'Salient Rite' here: https://youtu.be/mvT0hF_Vz3s and here: https://revisionistofficial.bandcamp.com/track/salient-rite
Founded in 2016, the Wichita, Kansas band formed with the simple intent to write unrelentingly honest music, devoid of any gimmicks.
Formed with members of The Gentleman Homicide, and Take It Back, REVISIONIST have amassed well over a decade of cumulative experience before setting forth the goal to take hardcore back to a more simple and pure time.
In the words of guitarist Joshua Barbee: “‘Salient Rite’ really focuses on the hardships and struggles we as people go through. How much better one becomes as they deal and learn from the situations. How it affects your circle and elevates as a whole.”

ENTERPRISE EARTH unveil a quarantine-filmed video for their rendition of Lamb Of God's 'Now You've Got Something To Die For.' The cover appears on the band's Foundation Of Bones EP, released last week via Entertainment One (eOne).
Watch 'Now You've Got Something To Die For' here: https://youtu.be/6AxhghbB9MQ
The surprise EP serves as a bridge piece from their latest full-length effort, Luciferous, into the work being laid down for their forthcoming LP and also marks the band's first self-produced output.
Foundation Of Bones features one new song from the band (the title track), two cover tunes - Lamb Of God's iconic 'Now You've Got Something To Die For' and Necrophagist's 'Fermented Offal Discharge' - an acoustic interpretation of 'There Is No Tomorrow' from their Luciferous LP, and an instrumental version of the new track.
Comments ENTERPRISE EARTH guitarist Gabriel Mangold on the band's Lamb Of God cover: "Lamb Of God is one of our collective favorites as we all draw a significant portion of our influence from their catalog. We really wanted to do something off of Ashes Of The Wake and this song seemed to check all of the boxes for us. Straightforward and to the point, this was a ton of fun to cover."

German metalcore quintet RISING INSANE have released a metal cover of Michael Sembello's Flashdance hit 'Maniac'. The track is out now on all digital platforms and follows the band's album Porcelain, which was released last year via Long Branch Records.
Check out the video for 'Maniac' here: https://youtu.be/ToPYG-8XuBI
Stream/purchase 'Maniac' here: https://risinginsane.lnk.to/maniac
RISING INSANE deliver music in a dualistic manner: post-hardcore inspired rage is coupled with melancholic overtones, creating a sound that is irresistible to fans of melodic and aggressive modern metal.
A band with hardworking DIY roots, RISING INSANE released debut album Nation in June 2017 which quickly earned them shows with the likes of The Devil Wears Prada, For Today, Stray from the Path and more. The DIY struggle further inspired the band and fuelled their determination, which paid off with them earning a German and Austrian tour with Annisokay at the end of 2018 and a slot at Impericon Festival 2019.
Strengthened by the energy of this ride, they produced and recorded their second album, Porcelain, which was released on 1st November 2019 via Long Branch Records. Still inspired by self initiative and DIY work ethic, Porcelain is the most honest, inspiring and haunting music RISING INSANE have ever written.

Desert groove rockers PATRÓN have released new single/video 'Jump In The Fire', featuring Barrett Martin on drums, Alain Johannes on bass and guitar, and Aurélien Barbolosi on guitar.
Premiered via Visions magazine, watch 'Jump In The Fire' here: https://youtu.be/rrrWfuwaedY
'Jump In The Fire' is the fourth single taken from their debut self-titled album, Patrón, out now via Klonosphere.
PATRÓN is a new project fronted by Lo (aka Patrón) frontman of the band Loading Data. The self-titled debut album was produced by Alain Johannes (Queens of the Stone Age, Eleven, Them Crooked Vultures, Chris Cornell Band) and also happens to be the last album ever recorded in his legendary studio 11AD, in Los Angeles.
Lo had some well known friends record the album with him: Joey Castillo (Danzig, Queens of the Stone Age, The Bronx), Barrett Martin (Mad Season, Screaming Trees, Tuatara), Nick Oliveri (Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age, Mondo Generator), Aurélien Barbolosi (Aston Villa) and Monique St Walker (Blackbird Days).
PATRÓN is a melting pot of influences, a new entity, a sort of Frankenstein creature, borrowing as much from stoner rock, 50s rock n roll, the Rat Pack as from 80s pop. It's sexy, it’s groovy, it’s loud and heavy. Heady melodies that will stick to your skin like a thirsty alcoholic tick.
PATRÓN are:
Lo aka Patrón : Lead Vocal / Guitar / Keyboard
Joey Castillo : Drums
Nick Oliveri : Bass
Aurélien Barbolosi : Guitars
Alain Johannes : Bass, Guitar, Keyboard, Vocal
Barrett Martin : Drums
Monique St Walker : Vocals
Aurelia : Vocals
