Founded in Pereira in 2005, ESHTADUR were born from a love of At The Gates, Soilwork and Septicflesh. A few demos, two EPs and three albums later, the trio have evolved to become one of the most intense and powerful extreme metal bands in South America.
ESHTADUR, meaning the rebellion of angels, can be most closely likened to bands such as Septic Flesh, Behemoth, Fleshgod Apocalypse, and Carach Angren. Like their scene counterparts, the band embodies a deathly melodic atmosphere that reaches into realms of darkness and despair through the decay of humanity. It seeks to rebel, in its darkened way, embracing the abject reality.
ESHTADUR's rich touring history includes performances across Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, USA and UK, and headlined a stage at Rock Al Parque in 2016. Canadian rock quintet RARITY have released a lyric video for their brand new single 'Worn Down', out now via New Damage Records. 'Worn Down' follows the band's recent single 'Leave It Alone', which marked the first new material since their 2019 full-length The Longest Lonesome.

"'Worn Down' is about humanity. It’s about relationships between humans. Relationships with harsh edges. The kind you maybe don’t want to think about, but I find myself writing about nonetheless. Two people with mental instabilities passionately trying to make a life with each other. They come to terms with how to treat and support one another all while pushing through their own mental health problems. It’s about the aggressive and problem-ridden push and pull of an otherwise loving relationship. About how mental insecurity and illness can wear a relationship down and damage their sense of togetherness and empathy - something you’ll regret absolutely in retrospect, but ignore in the moment. You can look at the other person and swear you feel nothing at all, even though you know you love them.
"Without getting too morose, It’s about damage. That’s the long and short of it."

RARITY wasted no time when they formed in 2014, releasing their debut EP Alive In Your Eyes through Rise Records and hitting the road shortly after. The band then returned to the studio with Derek Henderson (Knuckle Puck, Real Friends) and State Champs' Derek DiScanio to work on their debut album, I Couldn’t Be Weaker.

British kings of death metal INGESTED have released new single 'Another Breath' featuring Crowbar and Down legend Kirk Windstein, along with a stunning animated music video. This is the fourth single taken from new album Where Only Gods May Tread, out 14th August via Unique Leader.

INGESTED toured the UK with Crowbar in 2018 and both bands hit it off instantly, which led to this collaboration.
Guitarist Sam Yates explains: "In 2018 we opened a fantastic tour in the UK with Crowbar and they were all such down to earth great dudes. Super tight, crazy heavy and had the best stories! Kirk and his wife Robin were so genuine and cool and all of Crowbar would hang with us and shoot the shit most nights. I was on public transport in the piss down rain writing lyrics for Where Only Gods May Tread and I wanted the opening of what became 'Another Breath' to be this epic, heavy, sad song by someone who could actually sing. My first instinct, my first choice for this song was Kirk. It was that “I wonder if…” moment."
As the deadline for the album hand-in loomed, Sam finally reached out to Crowbar bassist Shane Wesley who set the whole thing up.
Sam continues: "Shane took time out of recording with Crowbar to engineer the guest spot himself, and Kirk brought the all-time goods. It was exactly what I had in my mind and he smashed it in record time like an absolute professional. It’s my favourite song from the record; Kirk is truly one of the most slept on metal greats and he was and always will be “The Man”.
On the video, Sam comments "The director for this video was Shayne Minott at Budget Blood Productions. Seeing his style the idea was to do this all out 90s throwback, dark claymation video. Just like the ones that used to play on music TV when we were teenagers. The story was the ideas and themes of the song itself: defeat, self-loathing, the human condition, shame and control. I wrote the basic outline of the plot and we sent him a lot of content and he came up with what we wanted. Great to work with and considering his medium he absolutely worked his ass off and knocked it out the park."
'Another Breath' follows the singles 'Dead Seraphic Forms' , 'Impending Dominance' and 'No Half Measures'.

The album was mixed and mastered by long time producer of INGESTED and Cryptopsy guitarist Christian Donaldson (Despised Icon, Beneath The Massacre, The Agonist), engineering was handled by both Nico Beninato and Sam Yates at Foel Studios in Wales. The artwork was created by legendary artist Dan Seagrave (Morbid Angel, Suffocation, Hypocrisy, Entombed, Rivers Of Nihil, Gorguts, Decrepit Birth).

Foundation Of Bones features one new song from the band (the title track), two cover tunes - Lamb Of God's iconic 'Now You've Got Something To Die For' and Necrophagist's 'Fermented Offal Discharge' - the aforementioned acoustic interpretation of 'There Is No Tomorrow' and an instrumental version of the new track. The surprise EP serves as a bridge piece from their latest full-length effort, Luciferous, into the work being laid down for their forthcoming LP and also marks the band's first self-produced output.
Comments ENTERPRISE EARTH guitarist Gabriel Mangold, "Doing the acoustic rendition of this song was a last-minute addition to the EP and, boy, are we glad we went for it as recording it was somewhat of a cathartic and eye-opening experience. It was inspired by bands that have done incredible acoustic renditions of their heavy tunes, namely Alice In Chains, The Contortionist, and I See Stars. Our sonic inspirations and musical expressions go much deeper than just being brutal and we wanted to express that sentiment and develop another facet of our sound. We love melody, peaks, and valleys within a song, acoustic jams that take you on a journey, and most importantly, we love writing music that resonates strongly within us. Shapeshifting progressive metal pioneer IHSAHN will release Pharos, the second of two contrasting-yet-intertwined EPs, on 11th September 2020 via Candlelight Records.
The light to Telemark’s dark, Pharos features three original compositions and two covers; a delicate but true-to-the-original version of ‘Manhattan Skyline’ by Norway’s own pop progenitors A-HA (featuring LEPROUS frontman EINAR SOLBERG on vocal duties) and the haunting ‘Roads’, originally by British trip-hop collective PORTISHEAD.
Recorded at his home studio, with additional drums by TOBIAS SOLBAKK at Jukes Joint Studio, Pharos is musically and conceptually a reverse image of Telemark (the first of the two linked EPs, released back in February of this year.)

Legendary American thrashers HAVOK have announced a vinyl re-issue series which will bring three of the band's classic albums back to stores later this year.
The vinyl re-issue series begins this autumn with albums Burn, Time Is Up and Unnatural Selection hitting the shelves on 16th October via Candlelight Records. To date, HAVOK has released five studio albums: Burn (2009), Time Is Up (2011), Unnatural Selection (2013), Conformicide (2017) and V (2020). The vinyl re-issue series sees three of these classics re-issued.
In June 2009 HAVOK released their full-length debut Burn, which received critical acclaim throughout the metal community. The band then returned to the studio to record their sophomore effort, releasing Time Is Up in March 2011. This spread through the metal community, receiving strong reviews from critics and fans alike to become a defining album in what has come to be known as the New Wave of Thrash Metal scene. The success of Time Is Up led the band to join major tours, opening for bands such as thrash metal veterans Forbidden, alongside Revocation and White Wizzard; as well as tours opening for Sepultura, Death Angel and Anthrax.
HAVOK then began recording their album Unnatural Selection in the spring of 2013 and upon its release in June of that year it charted on the Billboard Top 200 in its first week.

Both bands found an instant connection when they toured together at the start of 2020 and felt compelled to collaborate. The result is a track packed with their signature tech and fusion elements, but it’s a much deeper exploration in melody and soul. A beautiful and exceptionally executed song, 'Real' is going to shock and impress in equal measure.

Guitarist Nathan Sadd comments: "We're really proud to present the new video for 'Begin Again' from the new record!
"The song holds a lot of meaning for us personally, as it deals with a lot of issues surrounding mental health. It came together following the passing of a friend of the band, and the entire UK thrash scene. It was a really shocking and upsetting experience for us, as we all had great memories with him and he was really important throughout the history of our band. Each of us has had our experience with mental health concerns, so it was a cathartic experience creating the song, and talking through some of these things. The song is really different for us, and we love it.
"Costin Chioreanu (At The Gates, Ghost, Arch Enemy), who designed the cover for the new record, did an incredible job on the video. He took a lot of influence from his own experiences in creating both. We were blown away!
"On another level, the song shows that we're not afraid to step outside the boundaries of thrash and bring something new to the table. I don't think many thrash bands could or would write a song like 'Begin Again'. We sought to make something that places us among the best and most diverse thrash bands out there today.
There was a lesson in this for us. If you're feeling alone, or feeling like there's no escape from the things weighing you down - especially during the COVID crisis - please reach out and talk to someone. People can seem fine, but be struggling inside. Please look after yourselves, and look out for your friends and family."
SHRAPNEL's most recent album Palace For The Insane was released worldwide in May to critical acclaim and marks the band's first recorded venture as a four-piece. Their first album recorded in collaboration with Samuel Turbitt of Ritual Sound Studios, it feels like it is a wholesale creative rebirth, with the voracious energy of a debut.
Formed in 2009, SHRAPNEL have been on a campaign of destruction ever since. From the blistering underground EP No Saviours through to the 10th anniversary release in 2019, Decade of Decimation, the band has grown from strength to strength with no intention of slowing down.
