The band comments on the new single:
“When you chase a passion, a relationship, a career or anything, you will lose people along the way, it’s just the way life goes. No matter how happy your passion makes you, sometimes you’ll feel broken by it. The question you have to ask yourself is, was the pain worth the payoff?”
Taking lyrical inspiration from personal life experiences and musical influence from a wide variety of alternative genres, the five-piece create art which fully encapsulates their message: "We only exist when we exist together."
TO KILL ACHILLES have extensively toured across the UK, the majority of Europe and Russia with We Came As Romans, Counterparts, While She Sleeps, I Killed The Prom Queen, Betraying The Martyrs and more.

Third and highly acclaimed album Turn The Light On embodies the diversity and vastness in IMMINENCE’s heartrending emotion. A significant milestone in the group’s discography, the record is an exceptional composition of sheer force and fragility that fears no boundaries or constraints.
Since the release of their previous album, 2017's This Is Goodbye, the Swedish alternative metalcore band have strongly established themselves in Europe as one of the most exciting up-and-coming bands today. With the success of their own headline tour and several sold-out shows, they have reached new heights and are ready to truly distinguish their sound on their next album.
Fronted by vocalist and violinist Eddie Berg, guitarist Harald Barrett, drummer Peter Hanström and bass player Christian Höijer, IMMINENCE was formed in the southernmost part of Sweden and have become one of the country's most promising acts, with their diverse sound embracing everything from metalcore to acoustic. Founded by Berg and Barrett when they were teenagers, the band grew organically with a constantly expanding global fan-base, as well as touring actively through Europe following the release of their 2015 breakthrough single ‘The Sickness'.
With Turn The Light On, IMMINENCE mix their raw, hard-hitting, unrelenting instrumentation with the grandiosity and class of Berg’s unmistakable melodies and violin arrangements. The record demonstrates a remarkable musical diversity, with each song unique in its sound and message.
Turn The Light On was written and produced by Barrett and Berg, with Hanström writing additional drum parts and arrangements. The songs were mainly recorded at Alias Studio in France by Bert and Eric Poncet, who helped to engineer and produce the album. Drums were recorded in Studio Mega, Sweden and produced by Christian Svedin, while additional recordings of choirs and strings were recorded by the band in both Germany and at their home studio in Sweden. The album was mixed and mastered by Henrik Udd (Architects, Bring Me The Horizon, At The Gates, I Killed The Prom Queen), who won Best Producer at the 2017 Heavy Music Awards.
IMMINENCE are:
Eddie Berg | Vocals/Violin
Harald Barrett | Guitar
Alex Arnoldsson | Guitar
Christian Höijer | Bass
Peter Hanström | Drums

Modern metal trio PTEROGLYPH are streaming new single 'Black Death', taken from their upcoming album, Solaire, set for release on 6th November 2020 via Blood Blast.
Premiered via Metal Sucks, watch the video for 'Black Death' here: https://youtu.be/gVm2ARZt2Ug
Vocalist / guitarist Jimmy MacGregor commented: "This track is a chaotic demonstration of unrelenting guitar fuelled madness. With one foot in thrash and the other deep rooted in modern technical metal, this song was written to give little room for breathing!
"The concept for the song is loosely based on an infection that overtakes humanity. Only the strong survive and the weak can only beg forgiveness.....seems relevant these days!"
PTEROGLYPH are a modern metal band from Leeds, England, formed in 2012 by lead songwriter and frontman Jimmy MacGregor as a solo project. Now with the line-up completed by guitarist Ansley Prothero (JOR and Bludger) and drummer Bradie Nixon (Mishkin, Bludger, Osiah), PTEROGLYPH are set to establish themselves as a vital force in the 2020s.
Solaire is the follow up to their critically acclaimed debut Death of a Prince, which firmly put the band on the metal map. Demand on the live circuit earned them dates with SikTh, Aliases, Evil Scarecrow, Sworn Amongst, Exist Immortal and Beholder, as well as slots at Mammothfest, Wildfire Festival, Bloodstock and UK Tech-Fest.
The majority of recording and production of Solaire was handled by Jimmy MacGregor, with all live drums performed by Bradie Nixon and recorded at Greenmount Studios in Leeds with Lee Smith, who also handled the final mix of the album. The album was mastered by Acle Kahney of TesseracT.

CALYCES, the new Greek prog / groove metal quartet, have streamed their highly anticipated debut LP Impulse to Soar a day early.
Premiered via HeavyBlogIsHeavy, you can now listen to Impulse to Soar in its entirety here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhnimSD9Qug
Released 16th October, you can pre-order Impulse to Soar here: https://calyces.bandcamp.com
Fronted by ex-Tardive Dyskinesia vocalist Manthos Stergiou, CALYCES are a new force on the Greek metal scene.
The soon-to-be-released Impulse to Soar blends prog metal in the way it was shaped through the 00’s, with the finest elements of classic progressive rock from the 70’s, but all with a very 2020 twist. Low-tuned heavy riffs meld with a barrage of polyrhythmic attacks, atmospheric passages, and full-on groove, melody, and energy. A scintillating and invigorating first step on to the scene; a record that will add to the collections of all supporters of modern-age Mastodon, Alice In Chains, Intronaut, King Crimson, Baroness, Tool, Gojira.
Additional flair and artistry was provided by Jørgen Munkeby (Shining) with a saxophone solo on 'Unfair Labour' and of Chrysa Tsaltampasi (Spineless, Bella Fuzz) with vocals on 'Beyond Sight'. Mastered by Grammy award-winning engineer, Alan Douches (Mastodon, Kvelertak, The Dillinger Escape Plan etc) Impulse to Soar was recorded in various studios around Athens with these carefully selected collaborators in order to achieve the band's desired natural, organic sound. Human substance intertwines with artistic complexity to create a thrilling and exhilaratingly impressive debut full-length.
A new vehicle has formed; a metaphor for rebirth and new shape of life. Calyces - the sepals that form a protective layer around a budding flower - is a fitting name for this most exquisite and yet powerful of groups. Forming in 2018, the quartet are made up of well-known Greek musicians, beyond Manthos: Alexis Stavropoulos (drums), Giannis Golfis (guitar) and Stelios Tragos (bass), all of them already key members in the bands Insect Radio and Revenge Of The Giant Face.
The stunning artwork for Impulse to Soar was painted by Maria Stergiou, the vocalist's sister.

Acclaimed metallic hardcore group ITHACA have released their new single, a charity cover of Thrice's 'Hold Fast Hope'.
Recorded especially for 2000trees Festival's Thrice Vheissu compilation, you can now stream the single here: https://ingroov.es/hold-fast-hope
Watch the video here: https://youtu.be/k6olktZLHtw
All proceeds from the sale of the single will be donated to Rape Crisis England & Wales: https://rapecrisis.org.uk/
ITHACA's new single follows their early 2020 tour with Grammy-nominated indie rock band Big Thief, and the release of their critically lauded 2019 debut LP The Language of Injury.
Press support from Pitchfork, BBC R1, Metal Hammer, Kerrang!, Revolver, Decibel magazines, and performances with Jamie Lenman, Anaal Nathrakh, Bleeding Through, at Boomtown Fair and ArcTanGent Festival, mark ITHACA as one of the most exciting and vital new voices in UK heavy music currently.
Order The Language of Injury: https://ithacauk.bandcamp.com/album/the-language-of-injury
Formed out of a mutual love of metallic hardcore but despair at its lack of ambition, ITHACA draw influence from everything from Southern doom to 90's math rock, as well as the untethered savagery of early Poison The Well and melodious battery of Oathbreaker.
The result is crushing grooves and shrieking guitar squalls that give way to haunting melodic passages and desolate reprieves. The debut album is the band's most ambitious and emotionally raw material to date, following from their 2015 Trespassers EP (COF Records/Soaked in Torment).
ITHACA have previously toured with Employed to Serve, Venom Prison, and Renounced.

Norwegian punks LÜT return with their thumping new single 'Strictly Business', released today, 14th October 2020 via Indie Recordings. The track is the most recent single from the band's forthcoming album Mersmak, which is due for release on 8th January 2021.
Stream 'Strictly Business' here: https://orcd.co/lutstrictlybusiness
The band have also released their video for previous single 'VIEPÅ'. Premiered via Distorted Sound, you can watch 'VIEPÅ' here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vw4x8UV1uQc
'Strictly Business' is a track full of power and drive - a fast-paced hymn to energy, showcasing LÜT's most punk side. With this shot of aural dopamine, the band comment:
"'Strictly Business' is one of our most honest (but at the same time a pretty not serious) song. The song is about how happy the people around us really should be to be apart of our lives. It's mainly about tiny little stupid things we're annoyed about with these people; Moms, the girls in the pub who doesn't like us back, or even stupid things our bandmates do. The song was originally written for a Christmas-themed tv-commercial, so you can try picturing that...!"
The singles continue the band's no-holds-barred, no-frills approach to modern rock as seen in previous tracks, 'Homme Fatale', 'LÜTetro', 'We Will Save Scandirock' and 'Mersmak', the title-track from LÜT's forthcoming LP. 'LÜTetro' was featured on Kerrang!'s "5 Songs You Need To Hear" and enjoyed international radio airplay and recognition, and exciting playlist placements.
Mersmak roughly translates as 'Taste for more / Wanting more', a fitting title for this infectiously raucous group. Elements of Turbonegro, Blood Command, Kvelertak and more combine to exhilarating and beguiling effect, and cements the band's rising status as ones to watch following their critically acclaimed debut Pandion (2017).
Ever since their foundation, LÜT have been a band that have captivated rock audiences, making a name for themselves in Norway. With their debut album, LÜT were nominated for 'New Band of the Year' in both the Norwegian Grammys Spellemannprisen and the Norwegian Radio award show P3 Gull. They have also found a fan in Lars Ulrich, who praised them on his podcast 'It’s Electric'. The band have also recently played at Summer Breeze Open Air, Reeperbahn, Øya and Tons Of Rock, as well as several other Norwegian festivals.
"We went through highs and lows writing this album, and it was definitely a learning process which made the band stronger as a whole. As such; making this album has been a type of contemplation. We’re excited to have finished the ‘difficult second album’ and couldn’t have hoped for a better result. It’s great to finally be able to show the world what we’ve been working on,” says vocalist Markus Danjord.
The band have made some changes to the line-up in the last year, as guitarist Mads Ystmark (Heave Blood and Die) has replaced former members Hans Marius Mikkelsen and Viljar Ratama Dunderovic. Following this change, LÜT spent months in Norway and abroad, finishing their second album.
Mersmak was mixed by Mike Schuppan (Paramore, M83, Jimmy Eat World), mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Converge, Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein Stranger Things Soundtracks), and recorded in Giske and Tromsø, Norway, and Bronson Island in Los Angeles, USA.

Technical death metal pioneers DEEDS OF FLESH return after a seven year hiatus with their 9th studio album Nucleus, set for release via Unique Leader Records on 11th December 2020 (Vinyl release 15th January 2021).
DEEDS OF FLESH have released the second single from the album, 'Nucleus', with guest vocals provided by John Gallagher of Dying Fetus and a guest guitar solo by Matt Sotelo of Decrepit Birth. Check the video here: https://youtu.be/JBbe62tkLLo
The band comment: "'Nucleus' is a great representation of the new album as a whole. It has a technical instrumental intro to grab the listener before the vocals kick in building up to the faster pacing in the song. It’s quite dynamic throughout as well as having space and grooves for John Gallagher’s (Dying Fetus) vocals to drop in. At other times, we incorporated things like layered guitars, bass tapping and polyrhythmic ideas on the drums. The song ends with a huge chord-based half-time feel before closing with an all-out blast and killer guest guitar solo by Matt Sotelo (Decrepit Birth).
"The concept behind 'Nucleus' is a storyline that introduces the Overseers and the Elders intervening and aiding the last of humanity in the final battle between man and an invading alien horde."
The first DEEDS OF FLESH release since the tragic passing of guitarist / vocalist and Unique Leader founder Erik Lindmark, who lost a battle with cirrhosis (aka sclerosis) in 2018, Nucleus features guest performances some of the biggest names in extreme metal to celebrate his life and contribution to metal. Vocalist Jacoby Kingston is joined by:
Luc Lemay (Gorguts)
John Gallagher (Dying Fetus)
George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher (Cannibal Corpse)
Frank Mullen (Suffocation)
Matti Way (Submerged, ex Disgorge)
Bill Robinson (Decrepit Birth)
Dusty Boisjolie (Severed Savior, Illuminegra)
Anthony Trapani (Odious Mortem, Severed Savior)
Obie Flett (Pathology)
Robbe Kok (Disavowed)
Jon Zig (Serpentian).
With a mix of the old and new style of DEEDS OF FLESH writing, this album is the completion of a story that began with Of What's to Come (2008) and ran through Portals to Canaan (2013). The music was written by Erik Lindmark (RIP), Craig Peters, Ivan Munguia and Darren Cesca, and had been recorded and partially mixed for almost four years. When Erik Lindmark passed in 2018, vocalist Jacoby Kingston came out of retirement to help finish the album. Alongside long-time drummer Mike Hamilton, they finished the story arc, wrote the lyrics and made the vocal arrangements for Nucleus.

Columbian blackened death metallers ESHTADUR have released a guitar & bass playthrough of 'Lowborn Bastard', taken from their new album, From The Abyss, released in September via Blood Blast.
Showcasing the band's musical excellence and giving an insight into their techniques, watch the video to
'Lowborn Bastard' here: https://youtu.be/ErFjPBEZjYE
The band have also announced signing to Colombian metal label Hateworks for the physical release of From The Abyss, which will be available late November.
ESHTADUR comment: "It is a great honor to be holding such a big metal flag with Hateworks on your side, and now From The Abyss will be delivered in your hands."
Founded in Pereira in 2005, ESHTADUR were born from a love of At The Gates, Soilwork and Septicflesh. A few demos, two EPs and three albums later, the trio have evolved to become one of the most intense and powerful extreme metal bands in South America.
ESHTADUR, meaning the rebellion of angels, can be most closely likened to bands such as Septicflesh, Behemoth, Fleshgod Apocalypse, and Carach Angren. Like their scene counterparts, the band embodies a deathly melodic atmosphere that reaches into realms of darkness and despair through the decay of humanity. It seeks to rebel, in its darkened way, embracing the abject reality.
ESHTADUR's rich touring history includes performances across Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, USA and UK, and headlined a stage at Rock Al Parque in 2016. They have shared the stage and toured with Cradle of Filth, Vader, Graveworm, Coldblood, Abbadon Incarnate & many more.
From The Abyss is the follow up to their highly regarded third album, Mother Gray, which was released in 2017 via Bleeding Music Records.

About BOSS KELOID
BOSS KELOID formed in 2010, Wigan, UK. Their latest and fourth album Melted On The Inch was released on Holy Roar Records to worldwide critical acclaim. It has been described as a “huge, complex behemoth with a surprising uplifting feel” by Terrorizer Magazine, an “enthralling exercise in uber-heavy psych” by Metal Hammer Magazine, a “masterclass in heavy, progressive metal” by Louder Than War, and a “lusciously produced, immaculately crafted piece of music” by Pure Grain Audio. James Scarlett (ArcTanGent’s organiser) cited Melted On The Inch as his No.2 album of 2018 and described it as “a wonderful melding of 70s prog and modern doom”.
Kerrang Magazine described BOSS KELOID’s 2019 performance at Bloodstock Festival as a “stunning set of unclassifiable, sort of techy, sort of prog-sludge”, with Metal Hammer Magazine declaring “like the very best bands, BOSS KELOID look and sound like a hotch potch of proper weirdos and outsiders. And they’re fucking excellent for it”.

About TUSKAR
Two-piece TUSKAR have been building their reputation as the band to watch in UK heavy music’s underground scene since the release of their debut EP, Arianrhod, in 2017. The “Nuclear Sludge” label started as a joke between Tyler Hodges (Drums, Vocals) and Tom Dimmock (Guitar), but nothing else has come close to describing the sound made by the duo as they draw from influences as diverse as early Mastodon, Sleep and Conan. Their 2018 EP The Tide Beneath The Wall has had more than 370k streams on Spotify, and they followed it up with the three track live EP The Monolith Sessions in 2019, recorded with Steve Sears Jr. (Gallows). One of the most exciting live bands in UK metal right now, their debut album is due out on Riff Rock Records in 2021.
Having teamed up with heavy music livestream specialists, Hotel Radio, you can also catch TUSKAR at their show with Ungraven this week on Wednesday October 15th, which will be available to stream via pay-per-view for only £3.99. Tickets are available from Hotel Radio’s website: https://www.hotel-radio.com/pay-per-view/the-blackheart/tuskar-ungraven-live
