French blues trio UNCUT have released a lyric video for new single 'Highway To Cagne', taken from their debut album, Blue, out now via Klonosphere Records.

Vocalist / baritone guitarist Alexy Sertillange described 'Highway To Cagne' as "a rock song that stinks of sweat and beer" and entices listeners by asking "do you want to race with the devil?"

UNCUT have deep roots in the origins of American rock. The self-produced band from Poitiers were formed in 2016 by Alexy Sertillange (vocals/baritone guitar), Enzo Alfano (guitar) and Pablo Fathi (drums). Their music is a masterful blend of rock aggression and blues riffs, propelled by wild and stylish drums.

The power of their songs is magnified through the group's live performances, trapped in a gleaming trance, reminiscent of the golden age of Hendrix's sensual rock. The natural son of Deep Purple, Clutch and Led Zeppelin, UNCUT take you on a trip through the vibrant land of rock music.

Enzo Alfano's expressive guitar playing is a language reminiscent of Rory Gallagher's euphoric flights of fancy. Pablo Fathi's drums are particularly expressive with a lunatic charm. These intertwine with Alexy Sertillange’s lyrical stories of independence, self-abandonment and resilience.

But where others my rush into the breach for a moment, UNCUT lay the foundations for lasting potential, with the grain of the glory days of the early 70s, combined with the spice of the best memories of 90s rock.

Co-vocalist J. Hurley comments: “It’s like a shield against anyone attacking us. Anyone can say anything they want, but you can’t get through the armoured core! In 2016, when HACKTIVIST initially set sights on their enemies with debut album Outside The Box, the world wasn’t fully equipped to heed their warnings and pay attention to its timely rallying cries. They return into a very different one, however – a world that’s sadly now all-too-finely-attuned to the horrors they first forecasted four years ago. Returning after a seven year hiatus with their ninth studio album, Nucleus is set for release via Unique Leader Records on 11th December 2020 (Vinyl release 15th January 2021).

Former bassist/vocalist Jacoby Kingston returned to the fold for this album and commented on the track: "'Ethereal Ancestors‘ is one of my favourite tracks on the Nucleus album. The song features guest vocals from the mighty George Corpsegrinder and has super strong riffs, blasts, and vocal patterns throughout the song. 'Ethereal' drives like a freight train all the way through and is super powerful. Getting to perform dual vocals with George is definitely one of the highlights of my death metal career. I think fans of both Deeds and Cannibal Corpse will appreciate this one!"

When Erik Lindmark passed in 2018, vocalist Jacoby Kingston came out of retirement to help finish the album. Alongside long-time drummer Mike Hamilton, they finished the story arc, wrote the lyrics and made the vocal arrangements for Nucleus.

SYMBOL OF ORION offer a unique sonic landscape, complete with taut riffs and a relentless edge. Originally from Nepal, the band are now based in London. Proudly DIY SYMBOL OF ORION have independently self-released five singles, an EP, and 2018’s full-length studio album, Unlamented.

The quartet incorporate musical instruments and soundscapes from their own heritage, regularly using Nepalese folk instruments such as a Tungna, and a native string instrument, called Sarangi, to help diversify their sound. This innovative combination of showcasing both traditional Nepalese folk and modern metal music is indicative of the band’s approach and overall attitude.

'Orion' is taken from Greek mythology - the great hunter of old, which references the band's own ancestors.

In 2017, the German power group returned to the scene with founding members Matthias Sayer (vocals), Alex Scholpp (guitar) and Ralf Botzenhart (bass) as well as with their two new members Timm Schreiner (drums) and Richard Düe (keyboard) – achieving sold out concert venues and making an impact on new and old fans alike.

Singer / guitarist Tymon Kruidenier comments on the single: "'Face Them' is by far the most energetic song on the album, inspired by a drumbeat and guitar riff that Yuma came up with. It’s an incredibly busy song, with its dense rhythms and many key changes. It’s also a very fun song and perhaps a bit more uplifting than the rest of the album. I suspect it features the highest note I ever sang, at the end of the bridge.

We filmed a lot of the recording process of While Time Disappears and even though the quality of the footage is not the best, we thought it was quite suited for a more light-hearted and fun music video for 'Face Them'. This isn't a stylized or serious music video, instead, it gives you a genuine impression of our studio process. Enjoy!"
