Norwegian punks LÜT have released their upbeat new single 'Bangkok Nonstop', taken from their forthcoming album Mersmak, which is due for release 12th February 2021 via Indie Recordings.

Stream 'Bangkok Nonstop' here: https://orcd.co/bangkoknonstop

The singles continue the band's no-holds-barred, no-frills approach to modern rock as seen in previous tracks, 'Strictly Business', 'Homme Fatale', 'LÜTetro', 'We Will Save Scandirock' and 'Mersmak', the title-track from LÜT's forthcoming LP. 'LÜTetro' was featured on Kerrang!'s "5 Songs You Need To Hear" and enjoyed international radio airplay and recognition, and exciting playlist placements.

Mersmak roughly translates as 'Taste for more / Wanting more', a fitting title for this infectiously raucous group. Elements of Turbonegro, Blood Command, Kvelertak and more combine to exhilarating and beguiling effect, and cements the band's rising status as ones to watch following their critically acclaimed debut Pandion (2017).

Ever since their foundation, LÜT have been a band that have captivated rock audiences, making a name for themselves in Norway. With their debut album, LÜT were nominated for 'New Band of the Year' in both the Norwegian Grammys Spellemannprisen and the Norwegian Radio award show P3 Gull. They have also found a fan in Lars Ulrich, who praised them on his podcast 'It’s Electric'. The band have also recently played at Summer Breeze Open Air, Reeperbahn, Øya and Tons Of Rock, as well as several other Norwegian festivals.

"We went through highs and lows writing this album, and it was definitely a learning process which made the band stronger as a whole. As such; making this album has been a type of contemplation. We’re excited to have finished the ‘difficult second album’ and couldn’t have hoped for a better result. It’s great to finally be able to show the world what we’ve been working on,” says vocalist Markus Danjord.

The band have made some changes to the line-up in the last year, as guitarist Mads Ystmark (Heave Blood and Die) has replaced former members Hans Marius Mikkelsen and Viljar Ratama Dunderovic. Following this change, LÜT spent months in Norway and abroad, finishing their second album.

Mersmak was mixed by Mike Schuppan (Paramore, M83, Jimmy Eat World), mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Converge, Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein Stranger Things Soundtracks), and recorded in Giske and Tromsø, Norway, and Bronson Island in Los Angeles, USA.

VRSTY release video for latest single 'Massive'
VRSTY 2020.jpg

New York City-based collective VRSTY (pronounced "Varsity") - Joey Varela [vocals], Javy Dorrejo [bass], Chris Cody [drums], and Paul Gregory [guitar] - have released a video for their latest single 'Massive'.

The single, which is currently the most played track on SiriusXM's Octane for a second week in a row, is taken from the band's recently released Cloud City EP, out now via Spinefarm Records.

Check out the video for 'Massive' here: https://youtu.be/1mBx7w32jRw

"The 'Massive' music video is perfect for what the song is actually trying to say," says Varela. "It's us in a dark room, performing, loving what we do, and having fun as it's always been. Just us."

Varela previously shared the song's inspiration, saying: "'Massive' is literally all of my frustrations coming to the surface. It's years of doing favors and helping other's elevate their careers - only to be told I'm just a copy of 'insert whatever vocalist here' or to be called a background player. Not this time. I remember writing 'Massive', and the only thought in my head was, 'They don’t take you seriously - but they'll wish they did.'"

Stream/purchase VRSTY's Cloud City EP here: https://VRSTY.lnk.to/CloudCity

VRSTY's music unexpectedly blends metallic grooves and R&B vocal swagger. The band have been grinding in the scene for over five years now, releasing their Lights EP in 2015 and heading on tour to earn their road stripes. They dropped Blck and Blck Deluxe in 2019, with 'YOU & I' (over 412k Spotify streams), 'Colorblind' (over 310k Spotify streams), and 'Nola' (over 278k Spotify streams) quickly establishing themselves as indie fan-favourites. The band have tallied over two million total streams and looks to open things up even more with their Cloud City EP, which serves as their Spinefarm Records debut.

Finnish metalcore eccentrics ONE MORNING LEFT release new single/video and album details
One Morning Left press shot.jpg

Finnish metalcore act ONE MORNING LEFT return with a retro vengeance with new single / video 'Neon Highway'. The band have also launched the pre-orders for their brand-new album Hyperactive, set for release on 21st of May, via Arising Empire.

Watch the video to 'Neon Highway' here: https://youtu.be/kJcphnRex5w

Stream / purchase here: https://OneMorningLeft.lnk.to/neonhighway

'Neon Highway' is the first taste of this stunning album; a hyperactive love song full of pure chaos and fury, thoroughly resonating with the album title. As told by Leevi Luoto (guitar/vocals): "This is a straight up love song. MAD love. Also functions as the landscape-painter of the album, describing the world we’re singing about."

Pre-order Hyperactive now: https://OneMorningLeft.lnk.to/hyperactive

ONE MORNING LEFT’s fourth album marks their first new material in five years. On Hyperactive the group begin a whole new chapter in their story, drawing inspiration from retro electronic and video game music, as well as 80s hard rock, while staying true to their heavier roots.

Changes are happening not only in the musical style, but also in their line-up. Returning from the cast of 2016’s Metalcore Superstars are frontman Mika Lahti, singer-guitarist Leevi Luoto and drummer Niko Hyttinen. Additional firepower is provided by new faces Tuukka Ojansivu on guitar and Miska Sipiläinen on bass guitar, as well as the return-to-form of keyboard player Touko Keippilä from the band’s original Panda <3 Penguin line-up.

The album shapes up to be the artistic peak of ONE MORNING LEFT's musical "blood mountain": epic lyrics carried by Luoto’s soaring vocal melodies, contrasted by the distinctive, gritty sound of Lahti, all accompanied by breath taking keyboard leads, blisteringly fast guitars, masterful bass riffs and feverish drum parts.

With the release of Hyperactive, ONE MORNING LEFT look to add to their growing global fanbase. Having gathered extensive live performance experience playing countless shows in Finland, touring mainland Europe, Russia, and the Baltics, as well as Iceland and Japan, the group are planning to take their entertaining and energetic live show on the road in the near future.

The band conclude: "Join us on our quest to make the world a bit more epic!"

Founded in 2008 in Vaasa, Finland, ONE MORNING LEFT are well known for their unique blend of electro, hardcore and metalcore influences as well as their entertaining and energetic live shows where absolutely anything can happen.

ONE MORNING LEFT haves played shows with bands like AMARANTHE, MACHINAE SUPREMACY, ADEPT, PROTEST THE HERO, FEAR OF DOMINATION, TURMION KÄTILÖT and WE BUTTER THE BREAD WITH BUTTER. The band have also graced the Finnish festival season, playing renowned festivals like Tuska Open Air and Rockfest.

ONE MORNING LEFT's debut album The Bree-Teenz (2011) reached #30 on Finland's official album charts, and was followed by the sophomore album Our Sceneration at #45 in 2013.

Tech-metalcore quintet ARCAEON stream new single 'Origin Of Dreams'

ARCAEON have unveiled their new single 'Origin of Dreams', taken from their debut full-length Cascadence, further staking their claim as a new band to watch within the UK’s promising progressive metalcore scene.

View the video here: https://youtu.be/f6W9Z6D9aTY
Pre-order Cascadence here: https://arcaeon.bandcamp.com/album/cascadence
Stream: https://sptfy.com/5enf and https://apple.co/3k1KSjB

Cascadence is released 12th February 2021 and follows the band’s acclaimed debut EP Balance, released January 2018.

Packing a punch with their find blend of technical metal and progressive metalcore, ARCAEON are a group entirely unafraid to bring all their hooks and riffs to the fore. Elements of Periphery, Intervals’ vocal album A Voice Within, and Architects combine to exhilarating effect.

ARCAEON are already a mainstay of the progressive circuit, having performed at notable events Radar Festival and Tech-Fest, as well as supporting Devil Sold His Soul and The Arusha Accord.

As suggested by their names, tracks six and seven mark the turning point in Cascadence, which is loosely a concept album of colour, from 'Infernum Demergeris' (the Hell at the beginning of Blade Runner – sepia, orange, dark tones) through to 'An Endless Sky' (blue). ‘Zenith I: The Reflection’ is "A mantra for when we think too much about the mistakes we’ve made or what we could’ve been if we had lived differently. We cannot change history, only learn from it"; ‘Zenith II: Arcadia’ is a depiction of Utopia, "about elevating ourselves beyond our social, racial, political and other differences into a new collective togetherness".

The colour change is reflected in the band’s artwork and portraits – fully bringing together all aspects of this highly intriguing multidimensional project.

HUMANITY'S LAST BREATH stream chilling new video 'Tide'
bandpic 20 small.jpg

Swedish black death juggernauts HUMANITY'S LAST BREATH have unveiled new single / video 'Tide', taken from new album Välde, set for release on 12th February 2021 via Unique Leader.

Filmed in Finnish Lapland, watch the chilling video here: https://youtu.be/NEmIJhUbO-E

Välde is the apocalyptically heavy follow-up to 2019's album Abyssal. Meaning 'Empire' in Swedish, Välde is a darker, bleaker journey than its predecessor, with a further emphasis on the atmospheric nature of the band's sound and the use of dissonance, creating a claustrophobic, dense record that pulverises the senses. Almost uncomfortably bleak at times, echoes of the likes of Ulver and Meshuggah are present on Välde, combining perfectly with HLB's signature blackened groove template for which they have become renowned. An atomic bomb of a record - this is HUMANITY'S LAST BREATH in their coldest, nastiest form.

Tickets are available now: https://tinyurl.com/y3erb9tr

PERTURBATOR will release a new album in 2021, the follow up to the 2017 breakthrough album, New Model, which saw producer James Kent break free from the 'Synthwave' tag that he helped to define. Now free of any genre shackles or expectations, Kent promises to redefine PERTURBATOR once again on this new release.

Dark electro master PERTURBATOR is considered by many as the face of retrosynth.

In 2012, PERTURBATOR's onslaught of initial releases ('Night Driving Avenger,' 'Terror 404,' 'Nocturne City,' and 'I Am the Night') rocketed him through the ranks of retrosynth producers – receiving tons of accolades and comparisons to John Carpenter, Goblin, and Vangelis. As he continued to hone his skills as a producer, PERTURBATOR actively searched for something deeper within electronic music.

This took a darker turn with his 2014 smash breakthrough Dangerous Days and went deeper into the mire with 2016's Billboard-chart topping The Uncanny Valley. But James “PERTURBATOR” Kent was feeling the limitations of the genre he helped redefine.

The 2017 album New Model eschews the nostalgia and pop culture references controlling the synthwave scene, feeling that they interfere with true subject matter. Of course, there are a vast array of influences at work on New Model - ranging from Kraftwerk to Lorn to D.A.F and Nine Inch Nails – but Kent wanted to break out and explore releasing music on its own merit, rather than regurgitating tropes.

2021 will see the release of a new PERTURBATOR album, more details soon.
