Brimming with defiant riffs and the very best pop-punk melodies, As December Falls dive head first into the paradoxical and often parasitical nature of the entertainment industry, on brand-new single 'Nothing On You'. The track is taken from their forthcoming second album Happier, due for self-release on 6th August 2021.

Check out the video for 'Nothing On You' here: https://youtu.be/f2tq2gG2edc

Vocalist Bethany Hunter explains:

"'Nothing On You' is a representation of how artists can be treated as performers in the music industry. People forget that we are real humans and you almost get treated as an object made just to entertain others. It’s a massive juxtaposition of being in a place where you’re meant to be having the time of your life, but sometimes you feel trapped and just want to get out."

As December Falls have also announced a UK headline tour to celebrate the release of their storming second album Happier. Dates are as follows:

18/11/2021 - Newcastle, Cluny 2
19/11/2021 - Sheffield, Corporation (Room 3)
21/11/2021 - Norwich, B2

15/12/2021 - Glasgow, Audio
16/12/2021 - Manchester, Gullivers
17/12/2021 - Nottingham, Bodega
18/12/2021 - Leeds, Key Club
19/12/2021 - York, Fulford Arms

17/02/2022 - Cardiff, Fuel
18/02/2022 -  Bristol, The Exchange
19/02/2022 - Swansea, Sin City
24/02/2022 - London, The Black Heart
26/02/2022 - Birmingham, O2 Institute 3

Tickets are on sale at 10am BST on Monday 24th May, available here: https://www.asdecemberfalls.store/

Adding to the excitement even more, As December Falls have announced a virtual album launch for Happier, where they will perform the album in full. Set to take place at 9pm BST on Friday 23rd July, the event will be available until 9pm BST on Sunday 25th July. Tickets are on sale here: https://www.asdecemberfalls.store/collections/happier-album-launch/products/the-happier-virtual-album-launch

Formed in 2014, As December Falls are a long way from their beginnings. The band achieved self-sufficiency early on as a matter of survival, after being told they were ‘too this’ and ‘too that’ from the industry gatekeepers, when looking to release their self-titled debut album in 2019 (which has received over four million streams to date). Their DIY attitude and business know-how resulted in the band selling out 90% of shows on their most recent headline tour around the UK, and appearing at Slam Dunk FestivalTramlines FestivalCamden Rocks and more.

Fiercely independent and striving for something more cinematic, more dynamic and more emotional than their previous work, the quartet recorded their highly-anticipated follow up album Happier with John Mitchell (ArchitectsYou Me At SixEnter Shikari) at Outhouse Studios. Gambling on themselves once more, the band took financial matters into their own hands to make their dream come true and secured a bank loan to fund Happier (all of which has been paid off due to an overwhelming amount of pre-orders from their highly dedicated fanbase).

Alongside the lead vocals of Bethany Hunter, As December Falls is composed of Ande (guitar), Timmy (bass) and Luke (drums). Their musical influences of the entire rock cache can be heard throughout Happier; classic rock idolisation of legends such as Jimi Hendrix and Slash, vintage pop-punk admiration of Blink-182Sum 41 and Fall Out Boy, and the emo effects of BasementTurnover and Citizen. Having never been in a band previously, Bethany turned to strong female rock stars for her inspiration. Hours were spent watching videos of Joan Jett and Marmozets to name but a few, studying their body language, attitude, and confidence until she had her unique style all sussed out.

Previously released singles from their upcoming album include 'Tears', 'Afterglow' and 'I Don’t Feel Like Feeling Great'.

Cold Night For Alligators release video for new single 'No Connection'

Danish progressive metal quartet Cold Night For Alligators have released a video for their brand new single 'No Connection', out now via Arising Empire. The clean, minimalist aesthetic of the artwork mirrors 'No Connection', which dials back the heaviness where needed, to allow the songwriting and myriad of creative details shine.

Check out the video for 'No Connection' here: https://youtu.be/tTe4gvFiBn4

Stream/purchase 'No Connection' here: https://cnfa.lnk.to/noconnection

Cold Night For Alligators discuss their new single and musical direction:

"This whole creative process was a huge jump for us. We agreed that we would listen less to the outside world and just create the coolest stuff the four of us could think of. The result is a softer and more mature sound that really reflects where we are as people and creatively.

"While we’re still a metal band at heart, it’s the least metal we’ve ever been and we love it. It’s proggy, but not weird for the sake of weird.

"The process was very collaborative and helped us really grow as songwriters. We’re a core creative group of four, but worked with really cool outside people on synths, piano, violin and saxophone, because we felt the song needed it and the foundation was strong enough to let others be creative."

A respected, forward-thinking band, Cold Night For Alligators have captivated audiences across Europe and even the far east of India with their innovative take on the genre. Having explored dense, technical prog-metal on their two previous full-lengths, new single 'No Connection' shows a more mature band with a cleaner, softer sound, focused on well-crafted, innovative elements with a progressive edge.

Experimental/noise rock band TAYNE release new single 'Silence'
Tayne press shot 2 .jpeg

London-based experimental/noise rock band TAYNE have released their new single 'Silence'. For fans of HEALTH, Code Orange, Nine Inch Nails and Author & Punisher, 'Silence' is taken from the band's forthcoming EP Coherent, due for release on 2nd July 2021 via Armalyte Industries. The EP features new material and two remixes, by JESU and Poisonous Birds.

Check out 'Silence' here: https://youtu.be/9Whjacqx9Q0

The band comment on their new single:

"'Silence' explores themes of communication breakdowns and claustrophobic relations. The style of the track mirrors the theme's ethos, with tribal pulsating beats progressing through uncertainty and chaos. It’s a very literal track, raw lyric narratives, no metaphors, no hiding."

Stream 'Silence' here: https://linktr.ee/Tayneband

TAYNE's concept originated as a satire on contemporary pop music. With heavier music seeping into the mainstream, TAYNE was formed to try and test the limits of "pop music" ideologies. Heavy, industrial soundscapes serve as a juxtaposition alongside calculated, overproduced sounds and vocals with the classic verse-chorus-verse pop structures.

TAYNE’s music has been described as an aural assault, welding atmospheric vocals, punishing guitars and pulsating electronics to create immersive and intense sounds. The band released their album BREATHE in 2018, with themes exploring self-doubt and insecurities. Since then, TAYNE have gone on to share the stage with the likes of HEALTH and Acid Mothers Temple.

The band's new material was recorded and produced with Wayne Adams of PETBRICK / BIG LAD in his studio in London.

TAYNE's Coherent EP is available for pre order via Bandcamp, with a limited run of 100 physical records: https://tayneband.bandcamp.com/merch

Arising Empire signs Swedish melodic death metallers Eyes Wide Open

Arising Empire are excited to welcome Eyes Wide Open to the label and announce the release of new single 'Devastation' on 28th May. Eyes Wide Open are a four-piece modern metal band based in Karlstad (Sweden).

"The world is on fire! Devastation spreads through the human society with pandemics, misleading information and corrupted leaders. Why can’t we change our ways?" the band comment.

With their latest and fourth album The Upside Down (2019), they hit like a juggernaut and paved the road to the top tier within the scene. Their music carries the torch from Swedish melodic death metal, mixing it with modern sounds and new influences inspired from metalcore. POWERWOLF release new single / video 'Beast Of Gévaudan'
Photo Credit: Matteo Vdiva Fabbiani / VDPICTURES

Photo Credit: Matteo Vdiva Fabbiani / VDPICTURES

2021 is once again completely under the spell of the wolves: With the announcement of their new studio album, Call Of The Wild, POWERWOLF, the high priests of heavy metal, have turned the heads of fans and critics internationally and hereby seamlessly continue on their unique success story.

The first single from the upcoming album is entitled 'Beast Of Gévaudan', and takes the listener on an impressive journey into the depths of historical France, while the majestically staged music video and its stunning visuals make hearts beat faster after the first few seconds.

Watch the video to 'Beast Of Gévaudan' here: https://youtu.be/po-u-V6GiEk

Guitarist Matthew Greywolf comments on the new single:"We are more than proud to present 'Beast of Gévaudan', the first song off our upcoming album, Call Of The Wild. The story behind the song couldn't fit better into the world of POWERWOLF: It's about a mysterious beast that killed countless people in the south of France at the end of the 18th century. The beast was never caught and there have always been many legends surrounding the events, up to the interpretation of the clergy, who saw the beast as ‘God's punishment’ or even as a ‘savior of mankind from the worldly and sinful existence.’”

Once again created in cooperation with the honorable producer duo of Jens Bogren and Joost van den Broek, the masterpiece will open a new chapter in the band's history on 16th July 2021. The eighth studio album will serve both old and newly recruited POWERWOLF devotees with well-known classic trademarks, and equally surprise and delight them at every stage of this wild 11-track ride.

Matthew Greywolf comments on Call Of The Wild: "With Call Of The Wild, we are opening a new, exciting chapter in the history of POWERWOLF. The album sounds unmistakably like POWERWOLF and is so much more at the same time: Besides new territory like the Celtic instrumentation in 'Blood for Blood (Faoladh)' or the ballad like 'Alive or Undead' we have raised all our trademarks to a new level. Until now, we never sounded so powerful and wild - in the truest sense of the word. We can't wait to finally share this beast of an album with you all!"

Pre-order Call Of The Wild here: https://powerwolf.napalmrecords.com/

ABOUT POWERWOLF:

The story of POWERWOLF, beginning in 2004, reads like a true fairytale, but is the result of the most hard-working and entertaining live band on the heavy metal planet. POWERWOLF has not only received plenty of Gold and Platinum awards to date, but numerous releases have entered the official German album charts at the top position of #1. With Blessed & Possessed (2015), POWERWOLF achieved Gold status (in the Czech Republic) for the first time, while its predecessor, Preachers Of The Night (2013), hit the official German album charts at #1, and the incredible DVD, The Metal Mass (2016), came in at #1 of the German DVD-Charts. POWERWOLF's holy mass in the name of heavy metal is unstoppable – their latest magnum opus, The Sacrament of Sin (2018), again entered the album charts at #1. The accompanying, almost completely sold out Wolfsnächte headline tour – in which POWERWOLF headlined large venues with their phenomenal stage performances – became a single major triumph, as well as the numerous summer festival shows in which crowds were thrilled and completely captivated by the wolves and their unique, (un)holy metal mass. With the new studio album, Call Of The Wild, and the Wolfsnächte 2021 tour charging through the largest halls in Europe, 2021 will again be a year completely under the sign of the wolf pack!

The track is taken from the band’s upcoming Dead Spirit (Part 2) EP, details of which will be unveiled soon.

The band comment: "Our new single, ‘CTRL,' is an anthemic and propulsive track with lots of energy to it. We poured everything we had into crafting a song that is uplifting and bursting at the seams with layers of dynamic musicianship. This is truly the best representation of the sound of the band and it’s the perfect track to kick off the new EP’s campaign with. We are extremely proud of it and can’t wait to hear the reactions to it."

Having become known as one of the most ferocious live bands in Sweden and beyond - playing alongside Meshuggah, Buried Tomorrow, Dead By April, Adept, Raised Fist, and many more - Kill The Kong's new material promises to translate powerfully on the stage.

They continue: "The track was also written with the live crowd in mind and we know this one’s going to get people moving when we get back to live shows. We are a band built to be on stage and in front of the masses, which is what this is all about. The upcoming EP, Dead Spirit (Part 2), picks up where part one left off, but adds a lot of diversity to the song structures continuing to experiment with different melodies and sounds. We are always striving to keep things fresh and push ourselves as musicians and songwriters. Thanks for checking us out and hopefully see you all at a show in the near future."
