Belarus-based brutal death metal band, Extermination Dismemberment, return with an apocalyptic new single 'Protonemesis', streaming now via Unique Leader Records.

Stream, watch and visit merch store here: Orcd.co/protonemesis

On the new single, the band comment:

"Fire and total extermination! 'Protonemesis' was created as a crushing composition that does not let you rest. The song consists of two acts. The first is slamming brutal death metal at it's finest. It takes no hostages and leaves no survivors. The second act depicts the end of humanity. Imagine fire consuming the world and millions burning to death. This is our first use of an orchestra that we feel compliments the epic, dark nature of the song's ending. This is both classic and new Extermination Dismemberment at the same time.

"'Protonemesis' is about people who become so used to being oppressed, that they start defending and maintaining the oppression, punishing those among them who dare to rebel. It's about those who embrace the order of tyranny and accept their role as slaves, enforcing subservice in order to keep their heads down and obey quietly. Humans are their own worst enemy, destined to eventually destroy themselves. Only the fire can save them. The fire that they will go into willingly, because they were ordered to do so. The fire that will burn them all."

Stay tuned for more in ‘22 from this SBDM powerhouse.

Karybdis stream explosive new video for single 'Maja Valles'

'Maja Valles' streaming now

London based melodeath band, Karybdis, have released an explosive music video for their brand new single 'Maja Valles', streaming now. The single is taken from their upcoming EP Order & Chaos due for release 3rd December.

Check out the video for 'Maja Valles' here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBHc9JDZAXs

On the new single, Karybdis state:

"'Maja Valles' is the first song we finished writing for Order & Chaos. Featuring machine gun rhythms, groovy riffs and soaring melodies, 'Maja Valles' encompasses these elements in a tight, high-velocity package. The song is named after the deep chasms on the surface of Mars and lyrically explores both the planet itself and it's personification, the Roman god of war, drawing parallels between the desolate landscapes of the planet and the internal struggles of a tyrant doomed to self-destruct. 'Maja Valles' serves as a baseline for what we're going for on Order & Chaos and aims to set great expectations for the deeper cuts on the EP."

With 3 critically acclaimed albums and over a decade of activity, Karybdis are one of London’s most enduring underground acts. Supporting the likes of The Black Dahlia Murder, Jinjer, Evile and Monuments, as well as festival appearances at Bloodstock and UK Tech Fest, the quartet have consistently demonstrated a passion for melodic death metal, paired with an aggressive live show.

Following the departure of lead guitarist Matthew Lowry, Karybdis recruited long-time collaborator and Norfolk noise-terrorist Dave Klussmann (Deities, Nervewrecker) and set about work on an ambitious new project.

Conceived as a concept EP based around Gustav Holst’s The Planets suite, Order and Chaos explores classical themes and melodies reimagined through a modern lens. Drummer/composer Mitch McGugan explains:

"We have always been fascinated by learning more about the cosmos. After watching The Planets in Concert with Brian Cox, a program that interspersed the famous collection of pieces by Gustav Holst with Brian Cox explaining how our understanding of the planets has changed in the last 100 years, it made me want to experiment with some of the motifs and see if they would work in a completely different genre of music. Karybdis have always used strings as part of our sound, but we really wanted to push the boat out and utilise not only a multitude of strings, but a choir and a brass section as well."

As guitar riffs began to blend with orchestral arrangements, it became clear that vocalist Rich O’Donnell would have to stretch himself to keep up:

"I’ve really tried to push myself on this EP and tried to explore some of the melodic undertones of my voice, while I’m still striving to be as heavy as possible there’s certain moments that required me to scale things back and think about how I can work with the choir and string parts to create something truly unique."

As the EP began to take shape it became clear that the best choice to helm production was new guitarist Dave Klussmann, who has previously worked with the likes of Oceano, Enterprise Earth, Chiasmata and Fraktions.

Dave states: "When approached me to join the band, I was equally excited by the prospect of producing as I was by writing and performing. This was a somewhat daunting task, due to the lineage of excellent guitarists and producers who have worked with the band in the past, but I feel I have achieved my goal of crafting a sound that encompasses the established vibes of previous material while adding new twists and progressing the sound of the band to new heights."

Annisokay release video for brand new single 'Time'

"German Metalcore heroes claw their way to top-dog status" - Metal Hammer

German metalcore powerhouse Annisokay, led by vocalist and producer Chris Wieczorek (Sawdust Recording), have released a video for their brand new single 'Time', out now via Arising Empire.

The exciting and astonishing music video is reminiscent of Tom Hanks movie Cast Away, where he is horrifically stranded on an abandoned island.

Check out the video for 'Time' here: https://youtu.be/oMC_y_VR75M

Stream/purchase 'Time' here: https://annisokay.lnk.to/time

Annisokay reinvented themselves on their fifth studio album Aurora, which was released earlier this year via Arising Empire and entered at #18 in the official German album charts. The album was the first to feature the band's new frontman and heavy vocalist Rudi Schwarzer - a long-time friend of the band - who stepped into the role in late 2019. Once again guitarist/clean vocalist Christoph Wieczorek oversaw production duties on the album, which is full of heavy riffs, driving percussion, melodic, goosebump-inducing cleans and aggressive shouts. The quartet is completed by drummer Nico Vaeen and bassist Norbert Rose.

Aurora is now available in digital, CD and vinyl formats, as well as a special limited edition fan box. Purchase / stream the album here: https://Annisokay.lnk.to/Aurora

Formed in 2007, Annisokay are at the forefront of German metal with their cutting edge sound, which has earned them huge success at home and has seen them breakthrough internationally. The four-piece have embarked on successful tours throughout Europe, the UK, Japan and the USA, including several headline shows in Belarus, Russia and Ukraine, a US run with I Set My Friends On Fire, two sold-out shows in Russia supporting Parkway Drive, and, more recently, the Xmas Bash Tour with Emil Bulls, which marked Schwarzer's first tour with the band.

Annisokay’s first three studio albums were released through Long Branch Records/SPV, all of which charted in the Top 100 Official German Album Charts. In 2018, the band signed to Arising Empire to release their fourth studio album Arms, which reached #26 in the German charts. In January 2021, Annisokay released their most recent album 'Aurora', which charted at #18 - their highest German chart entry to date.

Annisokay will embark on a European headline tour in 2021/2022, with support from Future Palace and Set Your Sails.

Consvmer release new single / video and announce album

'Selbstjustiz' single out now

Obsession album out 18th February via Out Of Line Music

German metal trio Consvmer have unveiled their fourth single 'Selbstjustiz' and announced the release of new album Obsession on 18th February via Out Of Line Music.

'Selbstjustiz' is one of the catchiest songs on Consvmer’s upcoming album and showcases the band's full potential. Watch the video here: https://youtu.be/6KASn2C_rMY

Stream it here: https://consvmer.lnk.to/Selbstjustiz

The band comment on the single: "The song 'Selbstjustiz' illustrates the pure hatred you can develop for a person if they were able to escape justice."

On the new album, they continue: "On our debut album Obsession we address the deepest abysses of humanity. We try to get inside the heads of serial killers, slavery advocates and tyrants to expose their obsessive obsessions.

"Obsession is our heaviest and most emotional work, which we've put over two years of hard work into and will now lay the groundwork for our next chapter."

The band's lyrics on Obsession are socio-critical and deliberately reflect the deep threatening mood in the instrumentation. Consvmer create extreme dark feelings with their music, that is intended to make the listeners reflect.

They conclude: "Musically we didn't set any limits for this album and mix different genres like deathcore, beatdown, alternative and metalcore in order to create a new unique sound."

Swedish alternative metal act Aviana releases video for new single 'Overcome'

'Overcome' out now via Arising Empire

Swedish alternative metal act Aviana has released a video for their heavy, flagship new single 'Overcome', out now via Arising Empire. 'Overcome' follows previous singles 'Rage', 'Oblivion' and 'Retaliation', which marked Aviana's return earlier this year, now led solely by Joel Holmqvist.

Check out the video for 'Overcome' here: https://youtu.be/zFnK5KXuX6M

Stream/purchase 'Overcome' here: https://aviana.lnk.to/overcome

'Overcome' is a cracked window into Aviana's soul, using emotionally naked lyrics and flickeringly heavy beats to explore the darkest of human emotions that are constantly haunting and taunting us.

Holmqvist comments on the new single: [Quote goes here]

Last year many people experienced dark times and suffered great loss. Joel Holmqvist, vocalist of Swedish metalcore act Aviana, was one of those people. Despite the successful release of their sophomore album Epicenter via Arising Empire in 2019, all his former bandmates declared they were leaving Aviana in March 2020.

Holmqvist explains: "I was in a dark place for a long time when my former bandmates decided to leave the band. It was hard! I think these songs reflect all those feelings and thoughts that I had to fight during that difficult time."

However, Holmqvist quickly realised that he was not done with Aviana and decided to continue with the project himself. Throughout the pandemic, he has gathered strength to build something new and special - the next chapter of Aviana.

Aviana’s new sound is heavier than ever before and offers a taste of what’s to come, Holmqvist assures."I'm building this up with the new Aviana now. There's a new chapter, a new story and a new era coming!" he concludes.

See Aviana supporting Kill The Lights at one of the following dates:

Party-slam legends Party Cannon announce new LP and stream new single

Volumes of Vomit out 14th January via Gore House Productions

'Nauseating And Unpalatable', ft. Exhumed vocalist streaming now

Conceptually idiotic, musically gifted, legends of partying, and the band with the best logo in death metal: Party Cannon are back, announcing their new album Volumes Of Vomit, set for release 14th January via Gore House Productions.

If January seems too far then fear not: the party has already started. You can stream the first single from the album, 'Nauseating And Unpalatable', now.

Stream the single and pre-order Volumes Of Vomit here: https://orcd.co/partycannon-volumesofvomit
Watch the video: https://youtu.be/tfk9_LTEEfg

Featuring Exhumed vocalist Ross Sewage, 'Nauseating And Unpalatable' is an apt glimpse into the world of the over-the-top Scots. Offering up nine chunks of IQ-lowering, slamming sickness, mass-gaining gym riffs, irresponsibly fast blastbeats, and the swampiest gutturals known to mankind, Volumes Of Vomit is not your normal death metal album. This is fully fledged party slam at its most unhinged.

“This album is nonsense” states bassist Clankenstein“I didn’t think music could be bad for your health but this is a legitimate danger to your safety."

“Many things tried to stop the Party - travel restrictions, illnesses, the roof of our practice space caving in - but we persevered, because you cannot stop the Party. The Party is unstoppable. A concerted effort was put into making the songs as unpredictable and over-the-top as possible while retaining the memorable and catchy moments we’re known for - listeners will be able to hear our love for bands like DevourmentGorgasmDying FetusExhumed and Disgorge. This is definitely our most IQ-pummelling and raging release yet - more slams, more blasts, more gutturals, less mercy."

Produced by Jörg Uken (Defeated SanitySinisterAnvilDespondency) at Soundlodge Studios, Volumes Of Vomit delivers the most brutal sound of the band’s career. Raw, live and crushing, you’ll feel like you’re actually in the room with these terrible people - who brought in their well-known guttural friends Ross Sewage (Exhumed), Don Campan (Waking The Cadaver) and Andrew Lomastro (Cerebral Incubation) to assist in the madness.

The album cover and sleeve collages were handled by Jan Grotle of FLUIDS and Cochino Art:

“Keeping with our tradition of intellectual avant-garde art work, the album cover and sleeve is made up of over 200 pictures of our fans throwing up/partying. We wanted to include our fans in album as a thank you for the overwhelming support we received during the pandemic," says Clankenstein.

Hailing from Dunfermline, Scotland and signed to Gore House ProductionsParty Cannon have subjected a large portion of the planet to their partying having frequently toured the UK, Europe, North America and Asia. Making waves since their inception in 2010, their debut EP Partied In Half is now considered an iconic release within the slam death metal scene.

Famously, Party Cannon's multicolour party balloon not only stands out against frosty-branched-logo-bands wherever it appears on gig posters, but regularly pops up* globally. Make no mistake, Party Cannon know how to stand out.

Post-hardcore trio Future Palace release video for new single 'Paradise'

'Paradise' out now via Arising Empire

Berlin post-hardcore trio Future Palace are back in full force with their brand new single ‘Paradise’, out now via Arising Empire.

Check out the video for 'Paradise' here: https://youtu.be/mJ47ISNx0lE

Stream/purchase 'Paradise' here: https://futurepalace.lnk.to/paradise

Once again, the band returned to Studio Sawdust Recordings in Halle, Germany, to work with producer Christoph Wieczorek on 'Paradise'. Reminiscent of metalcore heavy weights such as Architects and While She Sleeps, Future Palace’s new sound delivers an unparalleled force, expanding their sonic and emotional repertoire with engaging vocals, down-tuned guitars and furious temper.

“For me, scream vocals are one of the most emotional ways to express misery and anger," says vocalist Maria. "When I started to write the lyrics for 'Paradise', I was unsure whether I really wanted to realise them in this way, or if I was even able to. But eventually, the decision to do it helped to achieve a completely different emotional depth."

The single explores the serious search for a proverbial paradise and the simultaneous fight with depression and sluggishness. The contrast that derives from the lyrics is expressed in the single's music video, directed by Pavel Trebukhin who has previously worked with Imminence, Landmvrks and Novelists FR.

The result is a visually impressive portrayal of the changing emotions represented in the song: the mournful atmosphere of a funeral service meets the staged paradise, expressing how confusing and multidimensional the tasks of life can be.

One of the most aspiring post-hardcore acts in Germany, Future Palace signed to Arising Empire to release their debut album Escape in 2020, which garnered several million streams across streaming platforms.

Future Palace will join Annisokay on their European tour in early 2022, before embarking on their first ever headline tour across Germany in spring 2022.

A Pale Horse Named Death release soul baring new single 'Slave to the Master'

Infernum In Terra available now via Long Branch Records

A Pale Horse Named Death, the doom metal band led by founding Type O Negative and Life of Agony member Sal Abruscato, have released their poignant new single 'Slave to the Master'. It's the fourth track taken from the new album Infernum In Terra, out now via Long Branch Records / SPV.

Watch the visualiser for 'Slave to the Master' here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVZKPKQgj5Y

Stream 'Slave to the Master' and previous singles 'Reflections of the Dead', 'Shards of Glass' and 'Believe In Something (You Are Lost)', and order the new album Infernum In Terra here:
https://smarturl.it/infernuminterra

Sal Abruscato commented on the new single: “This song is up there as one of my favourites, I ended up doing something very different by have the piano dominate this song and keeping it very open with little guitar. It's about the inner turmoils I go through, the self destructive nihilistic behaviour I can possess at times, my inner battles with self esteem, getting older and trying to fight my inner demons since childhood. For me it is a very beautiful song and I love it."

Infernum In Terra is the fourth studio album by the band and has been mastered by Maor Appelbaum (Faith No More, Meat Loaf, Yes, Sepultura, Halford) at Maor Appelbaum Mastering (California,USA) while the artwork was created by Kelvin Doran of Serpent Tusk Studios (Dublin, Ireland).

"The album to me represents a new beginning, turning a new leaf shall we say with the same vibe from past albums but with a fresh open minded approach," says band leader Sal Abruscato. He adds: "There is no real concrete specific concept, it touches on some personal topics in my life long, my interest in the dark arts, that to have light you must have darkness to balance everything. With daylight comes nightfall, with heaven there is hell and at this moment the world seems to be in a very dark place hence the title of the album ‘Infernum In Terra’. This is a very dark album, but what else is new I always write dark music to sooth a dark soul!"

Sal Abruscato was born in Brooklyn, NY and started playing drums at age 10. He is the co-founder of Type O Negative with Peter Steele and performed on Slow, Deep & Hard, Origin Of The Feces, Bloody Kisses and various best of and soundtracks. Sal was the drummer for Life Of Agony and performed on River Runs Red, Ugly, River Runs Again, Broken Valley and A Place Where There's No More Pain. Additional projects include Supermassiv & My Mortality. He is now the singer, songwriter and guitarist for A Pale Horse Named Death.
