Legendary heavy metal vocalist Dee Snider recently announced his steadfast support of the people of Ukraine, who have been using Twisted Sister's track 'We're Not Gonna Take It' as their battle cry anthem. Within just days, he became heavily involved at the forefront of World United Live. The platform operates with the goal of raising awareness that may otherwise be shielded from the Russian people, to digitally, simultaneously protest in support of Ukraine, and to eventually coordinate the world's largest aid concert to help them rebuild.

Today, in support of World United Live's initiatives and the people of Ukraine, Dee Snider released a brand new, re-worked music video for his Leave A Scar track 'Stand', specially renamed 'Stand (with Ukraine)', with a video that features various pieces of currently sourced footage.

Dee Snider says about re-worked 'Stand (with Ukraine)' music video:

"About a month ago, someone on social media told me people in Ukraine were using Twisted Sister's 'We're Not Gonna Take It' as a battle cry, and asked if I was cool with it. Of course I was. My response elicited someone asking me why I was okay with Ukrainians using my song and not some other groups. I won't repeat my exact response (it was a bit political), but that tweet went internationally viral. Every news agency in the world suddenly wanted to talk to me.

At that very moment, some great people (who were all friends of mine) were hatching the idea for
World United Live and asked me if I would spearhead the organisation. How could I say no? Since then, we have been beating the drum for the free world to come together, not only in support of Ukraine and condemnation of Putin, but in sending a message to the Russian people that they are misinformed and not being told the truth. Now, with the help of the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger and many others, we are doing just that!

About a week ago, it hit me that the song 'Stand' from my last Napalm Records album,
Leave a Scar, fit the crisis in Ukraine perfectly... but I had already released a video for 'Stand' recently. Yet I just couldn't get around how well the lyrics resonated with Putin's attack on these innocent people. Ukraine was the furthest thing from my mind when I wrote the words for that song, yet it was like I had done just that. So, I had a couple of incredibly talented people (Scott Pitek and Steve Sage Goldberg) cut together a new video using some live concert footage and news clips. The result is devastating. Please watch and share 'Stand (with Ukraine)' and join us at www.worldunited.live. Help save the world. Together we can."

Leave A Scar track-listing:

1) I Gotta Rock (Again)
2) All Or Nothing More
3) Down But Never Out
4) Before I Go
5) Open Season
6) Silent Battles
7) Crying For Your Life
8) In For The Kill
9) Time To Choose
10) S.H.E.
11) The Reckoning
12) Stand

Dee Snider’s latest album, Leave A Scar, is an illuminating plentitude of angst etched in time, serving as a musical refuge and expressive output for Dee. But in turn, this auditory time capsule, written to express the anger, unease and pain, emerges as not only crushingly heavy, but relentlessly powerful. Each of the 12 tracks on Leave A Scar not only further bolster Dee Snider's position as one of the most celebrated frontmen of all time, showcasing that his vocal delivery and commanding swagger is as strong as ever, but that he is nowhere near stopping.

Rising from the ashes of ALAZKA and Time, The Valuator, brand new duo FLOYA have announced their signing to Arising Empire. The German two-piece have also shared a video for their debut single, 'Wonders'.

Check out the video for 'Wonders' here: https://youtu.be/Zq9OXwEWbzg

Stream/purchase 'Wonders' here: https://arisingempire.com/floya

FLOYA dive into the realm of self-reflection and empathy in 'Wonders', an uplifting and dance-inducing hymn.

Vocalist Phil Bayer comments:

"When I left the music industry back in 2018, I didn’t really know if I could return to what I loved doing the most, I kind of had to let go of a dream so to speak. So when we created FLOYA and started writing this song, I wanted it to be about positivity and having the endurance to get wherever you want to be in life. 'Wonders' is our tribute to all the people out there fighting every day, no matter the circumstances, to live out their dreams. Keep on pushing and you will get there."

FLOYA, consisting of Phil Bayer and Marv Wilder, blend modern EDM elements with poppy hooks on their debut single 'Wonders'. After carving a name for themselves as the founders and songwriters of their previous acts, Phil and Marv are on a journey of their own, exploring a vast array of genres and following one simple mantra: There are no limits. With this statement engraved on their minds, FLOYA strive to create something bigger than themselves, taking listeners on an unforgettable adventure.

FLOYA teamed up with Chris Kempe at Embark Audio (ALAZKA and Time, The Valuator) for full production duties and additional songwriting, with mastering handled by Robin Schmidt (The 1975, You Me At Six, Biffy Clyro, Don Broco).

EVERGREY release new single/video 'Midwinter Calls'

Forthcoming album A Heartless Portrait (The Orphean Testament)
due 20th May via Napalm Records

After breaking worldwide charts with their 2021 album Escape of the Phoenix, Gothenburg's finest export of darkness EVERGREY, enter a thrilling new chapter in the band’s history with their thirteenth studio album and Napalm Records debut, A Heartless Portrait (The Orphean Testament), to be released on 20th May, 2022 via Napalm Records.

Following their previously released, pounding album opener 'Save Us', EVERGREY reveal their glistening second single 'Midwinter Calls'. The thrilling new track draws the listener further into their multifaceted world of sound with its grooving instrumentation, flowing between boisterous dynamics and a next-level vocal performance by mastermind Tom S. Englund - one of the most distinctive vocalists in metal.

The song features atmospheric audio recordings from the band’s latest tour through Sweden, giving the song a special effect and fans another opportunity to leave their everlasting mark on EVERGREY history.

'Midwinter Calls' is visually brought to life via a sophisticated, cinematic music video, filmed by Patric Ullaeus and conceptually connected to the storyline portrayed in the 'Save Us' video, allowing the viewer to jump even deeper into the universe of A Heartless Portrait (The Orphean Testament).

EVERGREY on 'Midwinter Calls':

"'Midwinter Calls' is the second song but also the second chapter of a three-video story that reveals itself in a reverse order, why make it easy huh? This song is full of energy and it's once again featuring our fans and the live audience of Gothenburg, Stockholm and Karlstad - Co-creating at its best! We can't wait to hear the whole world singing along to this when we play it live! Hopefully you will find the video both thought provoking and uplifting at the same time. What is important, who are we and why? The resistance is getting real!"

Celebrating over 25 years of metal mastery, EVERGREY, led by founder, singer and guitarist Tom S. Englund, are known for wandering the realms of progressive and heavy melodic metal and painting sonic renderings with their twelve studio records released as of today. A Heartless Portrait (The Orphean Testament), the follow-up to the unit’s highly successful 2021 full-length, Escape of the Phoenix (which landed at numerous chart positions worldwide), reveals a 10 track mélange of which every note, every riff and every word seeps pure poetry – creating a ceaseless intensity that mesmerizes from the very first second.

The new album was recorded at Top Floor Studios Gothenburg, engineered by Jakob Herrman and produced by Tom S. Englund and Jonas Ekdahl, with mixing and mastering by Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios (VolbeatDestructionEpica and many more), whereas the hauntingly beautiful album artwork was conjured by Giannis Nakos at Remedy Art Design. Nakos is known for creating artworks for acts like Oceans Of SlumberAmarantheThe Agonist and The Crown as well as merchandise for Morbid AngelSuffocation or Cryptopsy – just to name a few.

EVERGREY on the new album:

“Here it is! A new album! Yet again! This is what we love about music, it never ends! Our mission is to write music so here you are! 10 new songs! 10 new EVERGREY songs that we hope you will have by your side as your life continues to shift and grow. 10 songs that we wish will be part of the soundtrack when you're creating new memories and new possibilities in your life. 10 songs that we feel privileged to have you listen to. 10 songs that have risen through the ashes of two years where our creativity has had more time than ever to flourish.

10 songs we really hope you will enjoy as much as we did writing them. As usual we have given it our best and we can't wait to hear what you have to say! A new year, a new album, a new record label = new possibilities. All this can only be positive, right?

 Enjoy!

Tom, Jonas, Rikard, Johan & Henrik”

A Heartless Portrait (The Orphean Testament) tracklisting:

1. Save Us

2. Midwinter Calls

3. Ominous

4. Call Out the Dark

5. The Orphean Testament

6. Reawakening

7. The Great Unwashed

8. Heartless

9. Blindfolded

10.Wildfires

A Heartless Portrait (The Orphean Testament) impresses with flawless, meticulous production that deftly depicts both heartfelt honesty and scorching metallic intensity, while its instrumental force of furious, technically driven riffs, skyrocketing solos and dramatic synths merges with the expert, brooding vocal performance of Englund – one of the most distinctive vocalists in metal. He skilfully balances harsh and heavy tones with an inarguably soulful approach, all topped by melancholic, thought-provoking lyricism that digs deeper with every spin, leaving a long-lasting impact. Songs like 'Midwinter Calls', which also contains fan participation with atmospheric audience recordings from the band’s latest tour through Sweden, and 'The Great Unwashed', draw the listener in with grooving, glistering instrumentation, flowing between boisterous dynamics and a next level vocal performance, while emotive 'Wildfires' turns the volume down as a goosebump-worthy ballad that hurts and heals all at once. 'Call Out The Dark' begins atmospherically with accented keys, suddenly evolving into an intense opus of symphonic and power metal attributes in the blink of an eye, whereas the record’s longest track, 'The Orphean Testament', impresses by revealing its heaviest facet. A sensitive introduction lures the listener into 'Heartless', and offers one of the album’s most engaging verses, followed by a hauntingly beautiful chorus and variety in pace to create a magnificent listening experience.

US deathcore group Bodysnatcher stream new single 'Wired For Destruction'

Bleed-Abide LP coming 22nd April via MNRK Heavy

Hotly-tipped US deathcore group Bodysnatcher have unleashed their brutal new video 'Wired For Destruction', taken from their long-anticipated album, Bleed-Abide, on 22nd April via MNRK Heavy.

Stream 'Wired For Destruction' here: https://youtu.be/CxHhgowFstc

Pre-order Bleed-Abide here: https://www.bleed-abide.com

An epically unashamed demonstration of aggression, Bodysnatcher's music is dark, furious, and threatening. It’s a sound born from the burden of struggle and an unwavering commitment to continued survival against all obstacles.

Bodysnatcher put the 'core' back in deathcore. Bleed-Abide, the Florida band's third album, crackles with rage and power.

Elaborates guitarist Kyle Carter of the band’s latest bruiser, “‘Wired For Destruction’ lyrically was inspired by our drummer Chris Whited and expanded on by me. For me, it represents the common fear of being forgotten after death. It also touches on the fear of not having control and doubting every action you take. The name says it all really. Death, sickness, and most fears hold a lot of us back from living our life how we really want to, so we thought it was an important topic to talk about."

Coinciding with the release of Bleed-Abide, Bodysnatcher will join Dying Fetus for a month-long Spring tour across North America, with Chelsea Grin, Frozen Soul, and Undeath.

Bodysnatcher are currently supporting Ingested on their UK tour. Dates as follows:

18.03.22 UK Birmingham @ Asylum 2
19.03.22 UK Manchester @ Rebellion
20.03.22 UK Glasgow @ Audio
21.03.22 UK Newcastle @ Think Tank
22.03.22 UK Leeds @ The Key Club
23.03.22 UK Bristol @ The Exchange
24.03.22 UK Southampton @ The Joiners
25.03.22 UK London @ The Underworld

About Bodysnatcher:

Kyle Medina (vocals), Kyle Carter (guitar), Kyle Shope (bass), and Chris Whited (drums) embody the hardcore spirit and cut their teeth in their tight-knit Florida community, home of death metal and pioneering punk, hardcore, and power-violence bands. Bodysnatcher are monikered after the nickname of one of history’s most notorious serial killers, Ed Gein, and represented by a triangular symbol steeped in alchemy and the occult. But Bodysnatcher lyrics owe more to the horrors of domestic strife than the gore of their Florida-based forebearers in Cannibal Corpse.

The inception point came with the purest of intentions. “I was around seventeen,” Medina explains. “We were just going to be a band that was basically a ‘breakdown band’ for my friends to mosh to.” Eventually stabilisng with a line-up that overlapped at various points with beloved groups like King Conquer and Dealey Plaza, Bodysnatcher released a quick succession of albums and EPs, most notably Abandonment (2015), Death Of Me (2017), and the utterly crushing This Heavy Void (2020). Combined with a blistering live show, this led to a deal with the MNRK Heavy label.

Bleed-Abide is the darkest offering yet from Bodysnatcher, burning with an intensity derived from a further focus on sonic pummeling and truth-telling narratives. “Even as a pissed-off teenager, the first songs I wrote were about personal experiences and people who did me wrong,” Medina says. “The musicianship is more mature; there are still a lot of breakdowns but done in a much smarter way. It’s definitely still Bodysnatcher. It’s like Bodysnatcher on steroids.”

All of the guys contribute to the lyrics, resulting in multiple points of view and diverse insights anchored by common themes of catharsis and resistance. 'Absolved Of The Strings And Stone' is a battle cry against the gaslighting and emotional abuse of toxic people. 'Hollow Shell' delves into strained familial dynamics, where some family members live as virtual prisoners to others. 'Wired For Destruction' confronts death anxiety. “It’s about the fear of the unknown, how all of us will move on,” says Medina. “Are we just going to return to dust? Are we just forgotten?” Even amidst the uncertainty and darkness, there’s an underlying positivity to be mined within. 'Value Through Suffering' takes a proactive stance on hardship, a way to rebuild from the wreckage. Too many bands resist genre classification in an aloof effort to distinguish themselves from every other band, inadvertently consigning themselves to talking points that sound like everyone else. Bodysnatcher is, without apology, a deathcore band. There is no compromise in the cards. “Deathcore kicks ass. A lot of bands shy away from labels they don’t deem ‘cool’ enough. But we don’t give a f*ck,” Medina says proudly. “We like what we like, and we play what we play. We all love hardcore and metal, so we’re going to play hardcore, play metal, and play breakdowns. And that’s how the band is going to be, forever.”

Alt-rock quartet El Moono release remix track by Phoxjaw's Josh Gallop

Temple Corrupted EP out now via Lockjaw Records

"Riffs, riffs, and slightly more riffs" - 8/10, Metal Hammer

Alternative quartet El Moono have released their new remix single 'Final Execution', remixed by Phoxjaw's Josh Gallop.

The original version of 'Final Execution' can be found on El Moono's acclaimed new EP Temple Corrupted, out now via Lockjaw Records.

Order Temple Corrupted here: https://elmoono.lnk.to/templecorrupted

The EP – a raucous mix of Deftones, Thrice, Black Peaks, and Phoxjaw – marks a new era for the band. It follows heavy pre-Covid touring around the UK and Europe with Black Peaks, Phoxjaw, Haggard Cat and Press to Meco, and fully showcases El Moono’s expansive tastes and approach.

Influences of rock, hardcore, post-hardcore, sludge, grunge and metal, the band's off-kilter and oftentimes mind-bending riffs, emotive songs and expressive lyricism combine to create a sound that’s difficult to pigeonhole.

A band unafraid to experiment sonically, El Moono tracked their EP in an ancient church, and notably features the piano used during Adele's Glastonbury performance.

Temple Corrupted is a concept EP, focused on depression and anxiety, and how societal corruption affects individual mental health. Listen out, for example, for track five, 'Miseria', which directly tackles the first-person experience of self-loathing. The song brings attention to the staggering statistics around suicide, and what might happen in future if our attitudes toward mental health remain the same.

'White Gold' tackles issues around institutionalised segregation of race and the injustices ethnic minorities face, fronting up to how the UK is an ‘ignorant empire’. Unafraid to confront serious events, their track 'Requiem' was inspired by watching a loved one waste away due to illness – a direct nod to guitarist Jamie’s father’s diagnosis of chronic cancer at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.

A band fully committed to their message and to change, drummer Chris runs a clothing brand, ‘Over Your Head’ donating profit portions to mental health charities.

‘White Gold’ gained the attention of legendary artist Dan Hillier, who lent his stunning artwork for the cover. El Moono are the third band Dan has worked with after fellow Brighton-based heavyweights Royal Blood and Architects.

A reflection on the fragility of life, Temple Corrupted is a fearsome and impassioned EP from a highly promising group.

Co-produced with Grammy-nominated producer 18YOMAN, this aggressive nocturnal banger will have you relinquishing all control and submitting to the libertine within. A tempestuous mash up of trap, alternative rock, and drum n bass, Triple One set the tone for their hard-hitting project that breaks all the rules and re-establishes why they are one of the most forward thinking outfits in alt-rap.

The news of the band's mixtape follows the smash success of previous singles 'Come Over' and 'Blood Rave', which have now amassed over two million streams, chart positions, and an award nomination.

Brash bars come courtesy of rappers Marty Bugatti and Obi Ill Terrors, melodic hooks by Lil Dijon float in paranormal fashion while greyscale production is expertly crafted by Billy GunnsTriple One are a sonic experiment between hard, soft, and all the textures in between.

Triple One's early cult singles 'Doozy' and 'Overflow' scored millions of views and streams internationally, but 2019 was the year that Triple One broke into Australia's consciousness: their singles 'Showoff', 'Tarlo' and 'Valentine Kid' were added to high rotation on triple j, and they were also profiled by Complex, GQ and Highsnobiety. Death metal legends Jungle Rot announce record, stream new single, sign to Unique Leader

New album A Call to Arms out 13th May

'Total Extinction' out now

For a band who’ve existed now for over 25 years, Jungle Rot are still hitting their prime with their savage new album.

Once again co-produced by Chris Djuricic and the band, A Call to Arms was mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö. It’s the band’s newest record since their acclaimed self-titled 2018 release, praised by Loudwire, Decibel, Revolver, Metal Hammer and a host of celebrated publications.

Forever looking to push death metal groove with attitude, Jungle Rot are highly regarded globally. Jaded death metal purists looking for fresh kills need to add the band to their must-listen list – not just A Call to Arms but the band’s impressive and extensive back catalogue, including their 2013 reissue of their classic 1995 Skin The Living.

Shots firing overhead, out of breath, thankful to be alive, an exhausted, courageous soldier takes cover in a nearby trench. Overcome with tragedy, the cadet looks down to carefully remove his worn down combat boots to discover his feet numb and blue, knocking him back with an overwhelming smell of decay and gangrene. This phenomenon is known as “jungle rot”. With a little imagination, visualise this horrifyingly grotesque predicament as it would be in heavy metal form - teeming with despair, brutality, darkness and volatility. The sinister picture you have just painted comes to life in four-piece death metal act Jungle Rot, who has been triumphantly destroying the metal scene since 1994.

Hailing from Kenosha, Wisconsin, Jungle Rot has steadily collected fans by the thousands since their 1995 demo release Skin The Living. Critics, blown away by their chillingly explosive live shows, rewarded the band with stellar reviews and were offered their first record deal with Pulverized Records. Through new representation, the men released their first full-length project, Slaughter The Weak (1998) and were greeted by a tremendous amount of support from both the metal community and critics everywhere. Responding to a flood of new fans, the band rearranged their line-up, adapted their sound, produced new material, and began to dominate the Midwest tour circuit.

The following decade saw the band sign with Olympic Records in 2001, releasing Dead and Buried, and then in 2009 signing with Napalm Records, and their What Horrors Await LP.

The band have toured relentlessly across the world, including with Deicide, Entombed, Vader, Cattle Decapitation and many more. Inspired and motivated by their fans’ continued support, Jungle Rot went on to release the 2011 Kill on Command and eighth studio album Terror Regime (2013).

Now signed to the mighty Unique Leader, the veterans make no sign of wavering or slowing down with the legendary brand of old-school thrash, death, and crossover crust punk.

Presenting lyrics filled with anger and self-hatred, the four-piece effectively blend intense and crushing guitars with catchy yet aggressive vocal rhythms. thrown aim to become prominent with their modern take on heavy music.

thrown are bringing their A-game from day one. The band are making a strong first impression with 'parasite', as well as previous singles 'grayout''fast forward' and 'new low', which include the work of the band's drummer and producer Buster Odeholm and music video director Lucas Englund (Parkway DriveArchitects).

Vocalist Marcus Lundqvist is joined by Johan Liljeblad and Andreas Malm on guitars, and drummer Buster Odeholm (Vildhjarta, Humanity's Last Breath), as thrown begin to spread their message of self-loathing through their mix of gut-punching metalcore and anger-inciting hardcore.

With ambition already pushing the band to seek out touring opportunities throughout 2022, it'll be no time before thrown have you singing along and exorcising all your anger in the pit at a live show.
