Formed in 2004 in York (UK), Deitus create sonic terror through the medium of black metal with no limits and no compromises. The band's core line-up has remained a stable 3-piece since their inception, taking inspiration from such artists as Dissection, Slayer, GG Allin, Fields of the Nephilim and Bathory.  

Deitus produce raw, dark and melodic soundscapes that have helped to win them high praise for their notorious, blood-drenched, rabid, violent live performances across the UK, Europe, United States and Mexico. They have received attention for bringing an unpredictable and dangerous element back into the live setting and have played alongside such esteemed bands as Mayhem, Shining, Hellhammer, Rotting Christ and also at various festivals across the globe including Bloodstock Festival (UK), Netherlands Deathfest (NL), Odyssey To Blasphemy (DE), Winter Rising (FR) and Sangre Y Fuego para Mictlantecuhtli (MX).

New album Irreversible was engineered by Greg Chandler at Priory Recording Studios with mixing and mastering completed by Tore Stjerna at Necromorbus Studio and cover art by Santiago Caruso.  It follows on from their two highly-acclaimed studio albums to date, Acta Non Verba (2016) and Via Dolorosa (2018).

"'War Of Being' has been all encompassing for us since late 2019.  After I returned home from filming P O R T A L S I found myself in such a deeply introspective headspace. The scale of work and reward from that project kind of set this up to be inevitable. We simply had to try and see how far we could take a concept album with TesseracT.

"Within these songs the band has given life to the themes and ideas that are personified within the characters of 'The Strangeland' story. It’s certainly been a catharsis and a way for me to explore the internal dissonance."

Regarding the track, Daniel Tompkins, the band’s vocalist, had the following to say:

"'War Of Being' is a fight for acceptance, a battle of existence and a resistance against ego. It’s a struggle for control as we cut through the white noise of reality. It’s the need to know and identify with oneself, to accept and understand what we stand for and who we are. There is an urgent need to ‘Tear the mask away’ and reveal your true self."

Leaders not followers, TesseracT exist in a sphere of their own with ambition positively written into the band’s DNA and War Of Being is no different.

The album opens with the reverie shattering ‘Natural Disaster’, followed by the pendulum swing of ‘Legion’. That slingshots us into the herculean title track - the album's 11 minute centrepiece that undulates with precision and power. When coupled with the beguiling melodies of ‘The Grey’, or the unshielded honesty of ‘Burden’, the band deliver their most impassioned release to date - an album to excite and inspire. Acle Kahney, Daniel Tompkins, Amos Williams, Jay Postones, and James Monteith truly have crafted a phenomenal set of immersive, absorbing sounds.

War Of Being was recorded at Middle Farm Studios in the United Kingdom with Peter Miles (Architects/Sylosis/Dodie) co-producing with the band alongside Katherine Marsh of Choir Noir (Bring Me The Horizon / Architects / Marillion). Assisting with additional programming and production, the band were joined by Randy Slaugh (Periphery, Architects, Devin Townsend). With additional engineering by Forrester Savell (Karnivool). The artwork, which features characters ‘ex’ and ‘el’ was created in collaboration between AI and human as a means to extend the concept into its presentation.

Introducing Temic - prog’s newest, most ambitious, and most adrenaline-fuelled act. Temic melds the creative minds of keyboardist and sound designer Diego Tejeida (Devin Townsend, Mike Portnoy’s Shattered Fortress, ex-Haken), guitarist Eric Gillette (The Neal Morse Band, Mike Portnoy’s Shattered Fortress), drummer Simen Sandnes (SHINING, Arkentype), and vocalist Fredrik Klemp (Maraton, 22).

The origins of Temic date back to 2017, when Tejeida and Gillette toured the world as band members of Mike Portnoy’s Shattered Fortress. From the very first chords they exchanged, their musical chemistry both on and off stage was undeniable, leading them to discuss the prospect of starting a new band together. Unfortunately, conflicting tour and recording commitments forced them to turn their attention elsewhere for years: that is, until the world came to a standstill in 2020, and Tejeida called Gillette to ask a fateful question: “Remember how we said we should make music together? Well, how about now?”

Thus, the first demos for what would later become Temic’s 2023 debut album, Terror Management Theory, began to emerge. Within a few weeks after that initial phone call, the musical vision of Temic had become clear: to create progressive music that is heavily influenced by high-energy electronic music, but arranged and orchestrated for a five-piece modern prog rock/metal band. The pulse can be the focus, and the vocal melody can be king.

Eager to join forces with the very best bandmates, Tejeida and Gillette first summoned the rhythmic power of their friend and drummer Sandnes. With characteristic enthusiasm, Sandnes seized the opportunity, prepared to contribute his percussive prowess as the heartbeat of Temic. When it came time to find the singer that would carry Temic's melodies to new heights, Sandnes recommended vocal powerhouse Klemp, whose emotive delivery and unmatched intensity left no doubt that he was destined to be the voice of Temic. Finally, to round out the rhythm section of Terror Management Theory, dynamic bassist Jacob Umansky (Intervals) was invited on board as a guest player, gracing the album with an unrivaled groove and a signature low-end sound.

UK heavyweights of misery, the intense & visceral TURIN (formerly This Is Turin) return with the brutal and uncompromising 'The Unforgiving Reality In Nothing'. The band's first release through their new home MNRK Heavy, 'T.U.R.I.N' will feature on their upcoming Lewis Johns-produced (Loathe, Conjurer, Rolo Tomassi) album, due for release next year.

'The Unforgiving Reality In Nothing' shines a light on the human condition exploring the curse that is the forced morals and virtues instilled creating a delusion of existence.

The band comment: "As well as it being an acronym for TURIN, it's been at the heart of this album's concept for all the lyrics. All five of us have been in situations where we act like nothing's wrong or bothering us, the reality of doing that is unforgiving. It harms us. It can impact those around us and often the reality of the situation doesn't change until we speak up and look for support. In some cases, forgiveness. We wrote this song at the tail end of the COVID lockdown in the UK as a way for us to reinvent our sound and push forward with whatever the next stage of this band would be, what came from it was a new album and a new drive to evolve what we have."

Influenced by a diverse range of extreme music sub-genres, TURIN are known for their bludgeoning live shows, earning them Kerrang!’s MCN Live Award with appearances at the UK’s top festivals such as Bloodstock Open Air & Techfest plus supports with Martyr Defiled, Decapitated, Within Destruction, Hacktivist, Ingested, SikTh, Origin, Dragged Into Sunlight & a collab with Thy Art Is Murder’s CJ McMahon on 2020's ‘Misery’.
