Formed in 2012, Any Given Day ignited interest with their 2014 debut My Longest Way Home (Official German Album Charts: #28). Guitarist / vocalist Prika Amaral comments: “’Elements Of Sin’ was one of the first songs that me and Helena composed together. I remember when the riff from the chorus came at the end of 2021 and the lyrics of the chorus came together. We were so excited with this song that we also composed a few parts of the drums at that time. The process of composing of this album was very fun."

With their previous record, Perpetual Chaos (2.8M plays on Spotify), Nervosa not only secured their first chart positions (#18 GER Official Album Charts, #6 US Hard Music Albums, #9 US Top New Artist Albums charts), but also performed at some of Europe’s biggest festivals.

Among its various themes, brand new album Jailbreak explores messages of breaking free from everyone and everything holding you back from doing exactly what you want to do. It encourages the listener to be proud of who they are, to trust in themselves and the strength that lies within them. The album’s lyrical themes comment on our society in a direct, critical manner, with messages delivered through intensely fast-twitching, raw soundscapes. 

Prika Amaral comments on Jailbreak: “I'm very happy with the result of how our new album turned out. This time, we were able to take even more risks and do new things.  With two guitars the doors open to a whole new world of possibilities, in fact Nervosa had two guitars in the beginning, but then we decided to go with one guitar for logistical reasons, since it would be easier to move with one less person for tours. Now Nervosa has a much bigger structure that allowed this addition, and we are really enjoying this moment of the band.  The process of writing this record was the most fun and brought the most musicality, enriching the band."

Guitarist Helena Kotina adds: “I think Jailbreak is Nervosa's most revolutionary record, both musically and lyrically.  It was a very challenging process but at the same time very constructive. We were able to take care of every detail until we obtained the best result.”

Heavy alt-rock trio The Last Vinci, hailing from Ireland and Italy, have announced a run of UK headline shows for late October. The band are currently promoting their latest album The Revolution Is Made Together, and have just shared an in-studio live performance of their track 'In The Name Of Ezra', taken from that album.

The Last Vinci are an alt-rock/stoner trio from Cork, Ireland, led by Alex Vinci, who is well known for his punishing low frequencies provided by a three-amp setup, his “give all you have” energetic attitude, and larger-than-life stage presence.

After a successful self-titled debut album and the subsequent The World, Enda Kenny, The Devil, The Vegans and All The Millenials Sh*t EP, the band took to their audience to help them create The Revolution is Made Together, The Last Vinci's second full-length release, through a successful crowd-funding campaign. Recorded in Liverpool with producer Tom Peters (Bicurious, Alpha Male Tea Party, God Alone), the album was released on March 4th, 2022 via Narrow Door Records, Alex Vinci's own label, with support from the likes of Alex Baker (Kerrang! Radio). Following the release, the Cork trio embarked on a run of UK and Ireland tour dates, including major festival appearances in Ireland.

US punks Filth Is Eternal have released their powerful new single 'Cherish', ahead of their sublime new album Find Out (29th September, MNRK Heavy).

'Cherish' implores listeners to believe in themselves and their creativity. Frontperson Lis Di Angelo tells: “I wanted to mash two of my favourite things together, Black Box Theater and Lynchian Style, and marry that with something I overheard a stranger say that has occupied space in the back of my mind for years: ‘This is all a dream, and you will spend the entirety of your existence at the centre of a push-pull event, somewhere between owning this dream and this dream owning you.’”

The key to the new Filth is Eternal sound is the deep-rooted attention to songwriting. Exploding with fresh ideas, heavy on hooks, and clandestine melody, Find Out is a clear breakout release for FIE, not to mention a future staple for heavy music fans worldwide. Using the talents of producer Paul Fig (Slipknot, AFI, Alice In Chains) while recording at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606 and Dave’s Room, Find Out adds just enough spit polish in production to conjure the masses but still retains the dirt and grime necessary to remain congruous to the sound and fury within. 

At the core of Filth is Eternal is the instrumental trio of Brian McClelland (guitar), Rahsaan Davis (bass), and Emily Salisbury (drums), who lean into bone-crushing death metal and crust riffage, precision-machined grind, and nitro-fuelled punk to create the nihilistic and galloping armoured vehicle that is FIE. When hard-pressed about specific bands and styles, the band avoids individual names in favour of movements, yet it’s clear that the darker, more complex side of hardcore is probably the most direct influence. Names ranging from Converge to Cursed may be the most prevalent while others such as Trap Them, Alice in Chains, Stockholm-style death metal, and even The Distillers come to mind for additional inspiration, melody, and tactical songwriting purposes. 

Vocalist / lyricist Lis Di Angelo’s approach is rooted in grunge and extreme music; their visceral delivery sits comfortably on the fulcrum between raspy hardcore vocals and cogent melodicism, allowing a range of emotional depth and dynamics. In the worlds the band currently occupies, the dichotomy is refreshing and oddly original, adding a subtle melodic twist to the nihilistic footstomp.

On Find Out, each track is its own pipe bomb ready to ignite on the unsuspecting public, creating a sense of urgency and relating the band’s explosive message to an unabating soundtrack of punk-inflected ferocity. German slamming death metallers Necrotted have released atheir new single 'Artificial Truth'. The track is taken from their crushing fifth album Imperium, out now via Reaper Entertainment.

The band comment on 'Artificial Truth': "The lyrics of the song deal with diseases of our modern information society such as 'alternative facts', and how quite a few people can be controlled and influenced by such lies."

New album Imperium marks another milestone in the band’s history. Another concept album, the LP develops the elaborate storyline of its predecessor with great detail. Necrotted continue to tread experimental musical paths; their proven recipe of melodic guitar riffs, thundering blast beats and oppressive slams is combined with immersing black metal elements. Written mostly in English, the lyrics also contain passages in the German native language, which are performed with banefully deep growls and strident screams.

Guitarist Tyler Fritzel comments: "'Tenshi' is quite a different sound sonically than what we have ever explored in previous releases. It started out with myself sending Jennings a chord progression which he basically took, didn't use, and instead wrote something entirely different haha. I love that he did that because it developed into a whole new sound that I wasn’t expecting at all. As it develops more and gets through the intro it really takes a shape of its own that sounds reminiscent of some of the Animals as Leaders stuff around the Joy of Motion days."

Myth of I are an instrumental progressive metal band based out of Boston, MA, USA. They strive to bring innovation to the progressive music world. Admitting to a wide range of influences, the band aim to give a unique cosmic twist to the ordered chaos they consistently produce.
