With their previous band, Thundermother, the members of The Gems stormed the Official German Album Charts (reaching #6 with their last two albums) and commanded international stages - electrifying crowds at renowned rock festivals like Wacken, Sweden Rock, and Alcatraz, while supporting legendary acts such as the Scorpions. 

Now, the new trio distance themselves from their past. Having proven their exceptional potential straight from the release of their very first standalone single, 'Like A Phoenix', in summer 2023 (#2 German Rock Radio Airplay Charts), The Gems have already been approached by many important festivals and concert agencies for 2024 bookings. The Gems comment on 'Undiscovered Paths': "This song differs from the other songs on our album. It's a more vulnerable track, very melancholic, yet hopeful. This is by far the most modern rock sounding track of our album and we love it!"

Captivating, chanting intro track 'Aurora' allows vocalist Guernica Mancini's distinctive, strong and bluesy vocals shine, and sets the scene before the catchy rock’n’roll anthem 'Queens' roars as a celebration of feminine power. Standing up for oneself, fighting back and rising above are some of the main lyrical themes of Phoenix, which 'Send Me To The Wolves' is an outstanding example of. The song’s storyline champions overcoming and not giving in to oppressors, before 'Domino' takes The Gems’ grooviness to the level of legendary classic rock bands of the 70s. With emotional tracks like 'Undiscovered Paths' and 'Fruits Of My Labor', The Gems bring significant depth and variety to the album, distancing themselves from their history. Stunning interlude 'Maria's Song', featuring violinist Maria Jern, fades into the touching ballad 'Ease Your Pain' - giving extra space to the exceptional guitar work of Mona 'Demona' Lindgren. Following track 'Running' shines as a surefire future hit with more impressive guitar work and Emlee Johansson’s hard hitting drums, before the beautifully stripped down acoustic version of 'Like A Phoenix' - backed with acoustic guitar by producer Johan Randén - wraps up The Gems’ debut album. Phoenix was mastered by Plec Johannsons (Soilwork, Hank von Hell, Firewind) and its artwork was created by ex-Thundermother member Giorgia Carteri (Soilwork, The Nightflight Orchestra).

Comments The Infernal Sea on the new single, "'Lord Abhorrent' is the opening track from our forthcoming album Hellfenlic, a brutal opus that hits hard from the offset, setting the macabre tone for what follows on the album. It encapsulates all the key elements of The Infernal Sea's signature sound and rams them down your throat."

The Infernal Sea have been a plague on this Earth since 2011, composing fierce and terrifying black metal from the Fenlands of England, conjuring compelling tales of English & European history throughout the Medieval period.

Over the course of several releases, The Infernal Sea have established themselves as black metal wraiths, identifiable only as shadowy figures exemplified by plague doctor inspired masks and shrouds. New album Hellfenlic, which is an Old English translation meaning 'a Fen of hell', is eight tracks of seethingly raw, black n roll infused rage and follows their three highly-acclaimed studio albums, Negotium Crucis (2020), The Great Mortality (2016) and Call Of The Augur (2012). 

Hailing from the East of England, an area of bleak, flat, desolation that echoes throughout their music, much of The Infernal Sea's storytelling draws from this area. New album Hellfenlic, centres around the brutal persecution of men and women by the most infamous Witchfinder General, Matthew Hopkins who was most active throughout the East Anglian area. It tells of his obsession, his religious fervour, his brutality, and ultimately his downfall.  

With first single 'Bastard of the East', the band delved deep inside the notion of how incredibly delusional Matthew Hopkins, the Witchfinder General was. Hopkins was a brutal, sadistic murderer, who strongly believed that he was carrying out God’s work and extracted false confessions out of many fearful innocent women, during a time of great paranoia within the Church. Follow-up single, 'Lord Abhorrent', looks at how Matthew Hopkins’ methods of interrogation were unjust and inhumane. Comments the band, "Matthew Hopkins was led to believe that an attempt on the King’s life was to be made by something otherworldly and distinctly evil. The Church was afraid that the Devil himself would ascend from Hell and take control of the throne. Their hope was that the faith of Hopkins, the Church and the common Christian folk would expel this evil presence. Corrupted souls were given the ultimatum of finding peace with God, or an endless suffering in the eternal flames of Hell. Justice was unfair and biased, with the alleged perpetrator condemned without fair trial."

Forthcoming release Hellfenlic was engineered by James Burke at the Noise Cabin with mixing and mastering completed by Tom Dring at The Arch Recording Studio and cover art by Khaos Diktator Design.  

The Infernal Sea have continued to elevate their live performances with a terrifying and captivating ritualistic stage show, enthralling audiences wherever they may roam. This has included performances at key UK festivals such as Bloodstock Festival, Incineration Festival, Damnation Festival, A Night of Salvation, Reaper Fest, Cosmic Void as well as a whole host of key support slots to bands such as Anaal Nathrakh, 1349, Taake, Napalm Death, Akercocke, Nargaroth, Primordial, Hellripper, Tsjuder, Mork, Rotting Christ, Hulder, Strigoi, Abigail Williams, Arch Enemy and many more.

An epic achievement, Truth... is, in signature Sugar Horse style, one single long song: a meditation and exploration of everything the note A has to offer.

Sugar Horse comment on the new single:  "This section kind of feels like stepping into the eye of a particularly lengthy storm. It’s a short reprieve where we break everything down before climbing back up that staircase again. Lyrically it describes the catharsis of art. You can take in any pain, hurt and bullshit from day to day like, then use it to generate something positive and beautiful. There’s something I find unbelievably beautiful in that kind of genesis. It’s probably the closest I come to any kind of religious thought. You take hell and turn it into heaven."

Telling the story of Truth Or Consequences, New Mexico, the band state: "It’s frequently been difficult for us, as a band, to limit ourselves to “normal” pop song lengths and structures….as evidenced in pretty much all of our releases to date. From time to time we feel the need to loose the ropes that bind us and let our Long & Tedious flag fly freely. Truth Or Consequences, New Mexico is the result of said untethering.

"We’ve always found the idea of exploring a single note over long stretches of time interesting and this song is that idea taken to an extreme logical conclusion. It’s an exploration of the note A in all its possible variations."

Sugar Horse have recently toured with post-rock luminaries 65daysofstatic across Europe, as well as dates with Pianos Become The Teeth, Liturgy, Chat Pile and an appearance at ArcTanGent festival.

A lot of people take the name Sugar Horse to be a drug reference - perhaps fitting for a band that sound like the last moments of a three-day binge. Darting wildly between dark/light, pain/bliss, sacred/profane, Sugar Horse are unpredictable and unrestrained.

Formed in what is now considered to be the utopian dreamscape of 2015, the band grew slowly at first. Far from fully formed, but steadily gaining limbs, heads and vital organs. Finally, 2019’s DRUJ followed swiftly by 2020’s DRUGS saw them hit on a relentless stride of eclectic releases that simultaneously confused and entranced audiences.

2021 saw the band encamp in a former Lutheran church to record their debut album, The Live Long After, releasing it via Brighton’s own Small Pond Records. Publications such as The Quietus describing the record as “shift[ing] dispositions fluidly, taking elements of extreme aggression alongside floaty Post-Metal” and Echoes & Dust calling it “a monumental achievement”. The album took every disparate element that Sugar Horse previously employed and amplified them, while juxtaposing each next to each other, with genuinely unpredictable and exciting consequences.

2022 saw no relent from the band’s fast paced release schedule, as they put out an anthemic shoegaze single in 'Pictures Of Dogs Having Sex', followed swiftly by their collaborative Waterloo Teeth EP. A release that paired Sugar Horse’s terrifying eclecticism with guest appearances from twelve other artists in just four short(ish) songs. Each artist coming from a different area of the modern British music scene, whether that be world conquering post-punk bass lines from IDLES’ Adam Devonshire, heavy titans Conjurer and Pupil Slicer’s throat crippling wails, or a shredding guitar solo from Biffy Clyro/Oceansize axe wielder Mike Vennart. The EP packs in an album’s worth of genre mutilating twists and turns into just 25 minutes of music.

Representing Germany at the ESC finals in May 2023 brought Lord Of The Lost to the attention of mainstream media across Europe (with features from BILD, The Sun, BBC among others), exposing their artistic universe to much wider audiences, and was one of the main highlights of the band’s most successful year to date - together with the late 2022 release Blood & Glitter, which charted at #1 (Official German Album Charts).

Extreme power metal unit DragonForce are featured on Beat Saber’s Original Soundtrack 6 with their new song, 'Power of the Saber Blade', originally composed for the best-selling, award-winning VR game. DragonForce's 'Power of the Saber Blade' is the fastest song ever introduced in Beat Saber at a mind-blowing 10.66 NPS (notes per second). The song comes alongside a gripping music video, drawing the listener into the exciting Beat Saber universe.

'Power of the Saber Blade' is part of the sixth installation of the Original Soundtrack, affectionately known as OST, which is a free release for all players. OST 6 will feature four songs, including other high-profile artists such as Lindsey Stirling, Camellia, and Far Out. All songs were exclusively composed for Beat Saber and will be world-wide premieres. DragonForce has been a community request for a long time, so the Beat Games team is honored to have a completely original song by them in Beat Saber.

Forming in 2019, South Of Salem's brief history is already impressive, building legions of fans even at this early stage. In their time, the band have supported WASP, Wednesday 13, and packed out sets at Bloodstock 2021 and Stonedead 2023. Even more impressive considering they first hit the stage in 2020, with their live career then immediately halted by the Covid pandemic.

Death Of The Party will only up the ante: an all-out hard rock explosion of classic heavy metal, 80s sleaze and horror, with elements of Murderdolls, Avenged Sevenfold, and beyond. Recorded with Grammy-nominated producer Romesh Dodangoda (Bring Me The Horizon, Twin Atlantic, and many more), Death Of The Party is a huge record: anthemic, dark, punchy and powerful. You only need to listen to first single, the floorfiller that is the metallic-edged 'Left For Dead' (watch here). South Of Salem are a band here to not mess around.
  
Inspired by rock gods as varied as Alice Cooper, Guns N' Roses, Zakk Wylde, and Murderdolls, to name a few, South Of Salem also take inspiration from the horror genre, to present a new twist on hard rock. Vocalist Joey is an avid collector of horror movies, with over 2000 DVDs and VHSs in his collection; he also writes spooky children’s books, with four published. Guitarist Denis – an avid fan of Zakk Wylde – has roadied for the legend himself, and is also a vinyl collector. His prize record is a Type O Negative test-press of Origin Of The Feces, with a scratch and sniff peel-away sticker. Thankfully, it’s still factory-sealed.
