LANDMVRKS stream new single featuring Mat Welsh of While She Sleeps

French metalcore stars LANDMVRKS have unveiled their latest single, 'A Line In The Dust', featuring Mat Welsh of While She Sleeps, a fiery and emotional anthem that continues to build anticipation for their forthcoming fourth album, The Darkest Place I’ve Ever Been, set for release on 25th April via Arising Empire.

Following the explosive double singles 'Sulfur' and 'Sombre 16', ' Line In The Dust' showcases the Marseille-based quintet’s signature blend of punishing riffs, melodic hooks, and deeply personal lyricism. Frontman Florent Salfati’s powerful vocals lead the charge in what is already being hailed as one of the band’s most emotionally resonant tracks to date.

Known for pushing boundaries and captivating over 900,000 monthly Spotify listeners, LANDMVRKS continue to carve their name into the global metalcore scene. With pre-orders for The Darkest Place I’ve Ever Been now live, fans can expect the album to be their most ambitious and impactful release yet.

LANDMVRKS' relentless drive, paired with their world touring success in 2024 and past hits like 'Creature', ensures that A Line In The Dust is another bold step in solidifying their legacy as a force to be reckoned with in modern metalcore.

'A Line In The Dust' continues to develop the story of the creature, who, in a moment of self-awareness, realises who she truly is and that she is trapped in her own world. The addition of Mat Welsh emphasises the effect of duality and adds a universal dimension to this story.

LANDMVRKS embark on an extensive North America headline tour in March, check online for full dates.

New UK alt-shoegaze band OVERSIZE release new single 'Vacant'

OVERSIZE have revealed their new single 'Vacant', another glimpse of their stunning debut album Vital Signs, due 28th February 2025 via SharpTone.

Watch the video: https://youtu.be/WxlhR5FcUno
Stream: https://bfan.link/vacant-1

Of the single, the band comment: "'Vacant' is one of the few album tracks that made its way into our live set pre-release, its one of our favourite songs to play live and we’re really stoked to release it as the last single before our album comes out.

"Lyrically the song focuses around a lack of connection and communication with the people around you, how easy it is to get complacent and not check in with someone, or open up with how you’re really feeling."

OVERSIZE have already turned the heads of many tastemakers in the UK scene, with rave reviews and rapt attention from Dan P. Carter, Alyx Holcombe, and Jack Saunders at BBC R1. In their short time as a band OVERSIZE have already performed at Outbreak Festival, and supported Militarie Gun, Higher Power, Fiddlehead, Boston Manor, and many more.

Although still very much in their infancy, the group - who formed in the South West of England - have already developed a fully-formed, personal sound. Elements of post-hardcore, alternative metal, shoegaze and emo combine to deliriously heady effect. While the band don’t shy away from their love of alternative 90’s music, and a love of HUM, The Smashing Pumpkins, Deftones, and Pixies, OVERSIZE have very little interest in being sonically tied to the past.

The bandmembers' shared experience of writing and playing live together has found them carving out their own space within the alternative scene, in just a handful of years. Exploring the vast range of dynamics within their music, songs drift between atmospheric textures to loud fuzzy riffs, magnifying and complimenting the personal and often venerable vocals.

Scour: Extreme Metal Supergroup Release New Single 'Blades'

SCOUR have unleashed their latest single, 'Blades,' and its accompanying video. The track comes by way of the band’s ferocious new full-length, Gold, set for release on 21st February via Housecore Records in North America and Nuclear Blast in Europe.

Watch the video for 'Blades' here: https://youtu.be/zjwqu5On1c8
Stream and purchase 'Blades' here: https://scour.bfan.link/blades

SCOUR are the extreme metal collective featuring heavy music veterans Philip H. Anselmo (Pantera, Down), Derek Engemann (Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals), John Jarvis (Nest, Agoraphobic Nosebleed), Mark Kloeppel (Misery Index), and Adam Jarvis (Pig Destroyer, Misery Index, Lock Up).

Deepening the experience set forth on SCOUR’s previously released EP trilogy, Gold pulls the listener through a blistering vortex of speed, aggression, and, above all, absolute horror. Drawing from a deep framework of literary horror masterworks, Gold guides the listener beyond the realm of death and through the metaphysical anomalies of a disheveled and decaying mind. In-so-which the pall of a savage universe is lifted, an inconceivable puppet master revealed, the remaining self of the listener excruciatingly dissolved, and left asking, “who is it that pulls the strings?

Musically, SCOUR fuse the raw aggression of black metal with grindcore, punk, and thrash influences, manifesting a sound that honors extreme metal’s roots while pushing it into modern territory. Their minimalist approach is relentless and brutal, perfectly embodying this vision.

Of Gold’s first single, 'Infusorium,' released in November, Revolver gushed, “It's an absolutely face-melting blast packed with elements of black metal, grindcore, punk, and thrash, all topped by Anselmo's throat-shredding death roar.Metal Injection concurred, writing, “holy shit, Anselmo sounds nothing short of demonic on this thing.

The video for 'Blades,' which was shot by Malcolm Pugh, includes footage from Anselmo’s annual Housecore Home Haunt 2024 as well as SCOUR’s most recent live show at Southport Music Hall in New Orleans.

Engemann further elaborates,SCOUR comes in hot with our second offering from the Gold LP, ‘Blades’ — a fierce, ripping, ‘unholy grilling of spirits!’ From the very beginning of the Gold writing sessions, ‘Blades’ stood out with its unrelenting, grinding riffage — a natural choice for track 2, keeping the album’s blistering energy alive.

“The accompanying music video amplifies the intensity, filmed at none other than Philip Anselmo’s private home Haunt. Shot during the Halloween season, the grotesque and gothic atmosphere provided the perfect backdrop for this ‘tower of gore.’ The video is topped off with spliced footage from our recent live show at the Southport Hall in New Orleans. Filmed and directed by the talented Malcolm Pugh, ‘Blades’ is a blood-soaked anthem that demands to be blasted at maximum volume.”

Watch SCOUR’s 'Infusorium' video HERE

Find preorders at THIS LOCATION.

Gold, which features cover art by Cain Gillis, will be available on CD, LP, limited edition cassette (US only), and digital formats.

Forged in 2015, SCOUR quickly made their mark with the blistering debut single 'Dispatched.' Their first release, The Grey EP (2016), came via Anselmo's own Housecore Records, followed by The Red EP in 2017. In 2020, SCOUR unleashed their most aggressive effort yet, The Black EP, released under Housecore and Nuclear Blast Records and featuring guest appearances from notable figures like Erik Rutan, Pat O’Brien, and actor Jason Momoa.

And now SCOUR elevates their intensity with the announcement of their first full-length album, Gold, which includes a guest solo by Gary Holt (Slayer, Exodus). Recording for Gold began in February 2023 at Nodferatu’s Lair -- Philip Anselmo’s personal studio and rehearsal space -- which saw the band highly engaged in a concentrated effort toward a truly diabolical composition, with Anselmo leading the charge at every turn. One would often find the entire band in the control room in ecstatic debate, meticulously mulling over every blast beat and divebomb. The album was intermittently refined, and lyrical concepts finalised, over the course of 2023 as touring schedules would allow.

Anselmo began vocal recordings in Autumn 2023 at The Lair. Backup vocal recordings were then executed by the rest of the band in arena backstage rooms over the course of Pantera’s February 2024 tour, where the full band would also thoroughly review the instrumentation mixes. Once the tracks were finalized by SCOUR and mixing engineer Dennis Israel, they were then passed to Fascination Street Studio in Örebro, Sweden for mastering by Jens Bogren

Despite their relatively short career, SCOUR has performed at some of the world’s most prominent festivals, including Roskilde, Hellfest, Tecate Metal Fest, and Maryland Deathfest. With such a powerful pedigree, SCOUR remains a dominant force in both live performances and studio recordings, and fans can expect even more from them in the future.

Imperial Triumphant reveal details of new album Goldstar; share new single/video ft. Tomas Haake

Avant-death metal trio Imperial Triumphant will release their sixth full-length, Goldstar, via Century Media Records on 21st March.

Their most instant and evocative work to-date, Goldstar reins in their musical wanderlust with a newfound focus that the band has only hinted at with past works. Their latest single - 'Lexington Delirium' (featuring the ominous spoken vocals of Tomas Haake) - is just one example of this heightened songwriting acumen, clocking in under 5 minutes, while retaining their trademark musical virtuosity in this homage to classic New York City architecture.

Watch the video for 'Lexington Delirium', filmed at the iconic Chrysler Building and directed by Brendan McGowan here: https://youtu.be/v9cDvwwbj6A

Pre-order Goldstar in various formats now at: https://ImperialTriumphant.lnk.to/Goldstar-AlbumPR

Imperial Triumphant comment: "Ziggurats rise, skyscrapers weep, & the future is not birthed from the organic but from a cosmic, mechanical womb. It speaks of posterity lost in the congestion of New Culture, a place where Manhattan's towering ambition conceals impending delirium. The Throne of Bolts becomes both a seat of power and a looming specter, begging for salvation from the soulless surge of progress. We climbed the deco spire of the magnificent Chrysler building in order to bring you a magnanimous visual experience."

Steve Blanco (Bass, Keyboards) reflects: "Gazing at the building's stainless steel Egyptian sun rays, I felt a profound connection to something greater, a deep resonance with the universe itself. Sharing that moment with my bandmates Zachary and Kenny and everyone involved made it all the more fabulous."

With their upcoming release, Goldstar, the masked triumvirate Imperial Triumphant continue their exploration of the urban and arcane. The band has found inspiration in the sound of metal pushed to its darkest extremes, gilded, art deco temples, and looming cityscapes. Recorded in early 2024 with longtime collaborator and producer, Colin Marston (Gorguts, Krallice), as the final project recorded at Marston's Menegroth Studios in Queens, the album was done in a breakneck five days. "As we recorded the final tracks, the experience felt like the universe was aligning," the band observe. "Colin, who is basically a fourth member of the band to us, held space for this transformative moment, offering his incredible artistry and expertise, which only deepened the connection we had to the music. The sound that we captured in that sacred space was the crystallization of everything we've worked for, and the memories of those sessions will resonate within us for years to come. Music exists as a force beyond the infinite."

With new single 'Lexington Delirium' and the unveiling of Goldstar, the band reflect on what they've achieved – and what's to come: "Imperial Triumphant's upcoming album is a journey that feels both timeless and otherworldly, and we are beyond excited to share it with the world in 2025. The music we've created feels like it was born from a deeper, unseen realm, and we're truly in love with every part of it. Our new video for 'Lexington Delirium' is a perfect reflection of that energy, filmed atop the majestic Chrysler Building. We've all admired its art deco beauty for years, and standing on top of such an iconic structure, surrounded by the clouds of Midtown, felt like stepping into a different age—an age of ambition and grandeur. Working with Brendan McGowen was an absolute pleasure, as his vision and creativity are greatly appreciated."

Goldstar is a long cool drag and as intense an urban fever dream as only Imperial Triumphant can deliver. Stay tuned for more coming soon…

Just days before Goldstar's release, Imperial Triumphant will join the 2025 Decibel Magazine Tour for an extensive North American run alongside headliners and labelmates Mayhem, plus Mortiis and New Skeletal Faces. Fans can expect a gilded mask-lift when Imperial Triumphant return to the stage; new masks and an upgraded show will be part of their live experience with Goldstar and beyond.

Smash Into Pieces unveil video for new single 'Heroes'

Swedish rockers Smash Into Pieces have released their video for new single 'Heroes' - their version of Eurovision 2015's winning entry by Måns Zelmerlöw

Stream here: orcd.co/smashintopiecesheroes

Smash Into Pieces' guitarist Per Bergquist commented: "We loved 'Heroes' when it was released, so it's an honor to create our own interpretation of the song! Our sound is quite different compared to Måns, but 'Heroes' is a wolf in sheep's clothing, and we've brought out the wolf".

The new track follows their previous chart-topping singles, including 'Six Feet Under' and 'Heroes Are Calling.' Both songs have seen significant streaming numbers, with 'Six Feet Under' earning double Platinum status and 'Heroes Are Calling' achieving Gold within weeks of its release. 'Heroes', the newest single, has seen over 240,000 streams inside a week of release on Spotify.

Known for their distinctive futuristic and apocalyptic aesthetic, Smash Into Pieces have also gained recognition for their cinematic mini-series 'ARCADIA WORLD,' which explores a parallel virtual reality. Their live performances are marked by powerful choruses and an energetic presence, drawing audiences into what has been described as a "digital cybertronic circus".

With over a billion streams and views, the band have established a strong global presence. In 2022, they supported Evanescence and Within Temptation on the Worlds Collide Tour, further expanding their reach. 2023 saw Smash Into Pieces achieve a new milestone when 'Six Feet Under' placed #3 in the Swedish Eurovision competition. This was followed by a busy touring schedule across Europe and the US, with a total of over 150 live shows throughout the year.

2024 began on a high note as the band once again competed in Swedish Eurovision, where they reached #3 in the grand final, and their single topped Swedish radio charts for four weeks. The band ended their year with their sold-out UK headline tour, supported by From Fall To Spring, including London's Electric Ballroom.

Dark Chapel, led by Black Label Society guitarist Dario Lorina, releases new single/video 'Hollow Smile'

Dark Chapel, the new project fronted by Dario Lorina, guitarist, singer, and producer for Black Label Society (2014-present), have just released their second single, 'Hollow Smile'. The new track highlights Lorina's signature guitar riffs and haunting vocals, merging dark, sludgy grooves with captivating melodies. 'Hollow Smile' is the latest single from Dark Chapel's debut album, Spirit in the Glass, due out 28th February via MNRK Heavy.

Watch the video here: https://youtu.be/kZGIi8oLbss

Pre-order the album here: https://darkchapel.ffm.to/spiritintheglass

On 'Hollow Smile' a thrash-infused, palm-muted chug seethes beneath Dario Lorina's airy intonation on the verses, building to a powerful, chantable chorus driven by relentless rhythm. "I read a quote recently that really captures the essence of this song: 'A man’s own mind is the greatest battle he will face,'" explains Lorina. The track perfectly blends tension and release, mirroring the internal struggle at its core.

Led by Lorina and also featuring Brody DeRozie (Guitar), Mike Gunn (Bass), and Luis Silva (Drums), the band’s airtight guitar-craft and sludgy grooves with magnetic melodies, bluesy phrasing, and grunge mystique are spotlighted on Dark Chapel’s forthcoming debut album, Spirit in The Glass.

The album’s first single, 'Glass Heart' was released last September on all digital outlets, and a video for the song can be seen on the band’s official YouTube page.

Striking an elusive balance between dark and heavy, ethereal and passionate, Spirit in The Glass is as Dario describes “...a culmination of all artistic influence, whether musical or otherwise.”

Dario Lorina began his professional career in 2006 at age 16 as the touring guitarist with the late Jani Lane (ex-Warrant). At age 19, he joined veteran metal act Lizzy Borden, whom he toured with for four years. Dario released two instrumental records with Mike Varney on Shrapnel Records in 2013 and 2017 titled Dario Lorina and Death Grip Tribulations. He joined Black Label Society on 1st January 2014, and has since been touring worldwide alongside Zakk Wylde, performing on guitar, piano, and backing vocals. Dario dueled solos with Zakk Wylde on Black Label Society's 2022 release Doom Crew Inc. and joined him on the January 2022 cover of Guitar World Magazine.
