EXODUS comment on new album Goliath: “Are we excited for this record? That’s an understatement. We put everything we had into this record (and it’s 80 percent complete follow up, but we’ll save that conversation for another day!) and it’s one of our proudest accomplishments. Wildly collaborative, the most band centric album to date with four songs written by Lee, lyrics by Gary, Rob, Lee and Tom, and just killer all the way around. The time to let the monster loose is coming! Bow Down!” 

Goliath wastes no time proving as massive as its name, with a sinister introduction opening '3111'. Ode to owning one’s own volatility 'Hostis Humani Generis' features a palpable lyrical delivery from Rob Dukes that cuts like crystal amid frenetic riffs, before rolling into 'The Changing Me'. The track’s introductory notes cascade into hair-raising rhythms, forming one of the band’s most anthemic offerings – blending menace and melody with the cleans of guest Peter Tägtgren (Hypocrisy, Pain) together with Tom Hunting and at the end both Peter and Robb scream off the song.

Harmonic dual axe acrobatics from resident guitar legends Gary Holt and Lee Altus. 'Promise You This' incites mosh pit treachery with explosive energy, cyclonic riffs and turbocharged soloing from Holt and Altus, prior to colossal title track 'Goliath' simmering the tempo down with winding, malevolent leads, towering drums and ominous string work from Katie Jacoby coupling with intricate guitars.

The album standout showcases the band’s ever-increasingly dynamic approach, even decades into their historic reign. Tracks like 'Beyond The Event Horizon' and '2 Minutes Hate' provide EXODUS’ trademark deadly dose of thrash theatricality – the latter boasting one of the album’s most grimacing, grooving pit primers – while undeniably 90s-tinged metallic charm attacks alongside drummer Tom Hunting and bassist Jack Gibson’s unmistakable rhythmic rage on tracks like 'Violence Works'.

The nearly eight-minute epic 'Summon Of The God Unknown' turns the danger dial to max capacity, setting the stage with a wicked introductory passage before traversing a variegated passage of trudging riffs and heavy metal melody. Power packed closer 'The Dirtiest Of The Dozen' wraps the album on a manic high, showcasing EXODUS pulling out all the stops on all instruments.

On the single the band comment: "In life you're told to be your 'authentic self', but only if your 'authentic self' fits a mould, only if you 'authentic self' is on brand. We're not hard enough but we're not soft enough, we're not queer enough but we're too queer, etc. We're okay with that; we know who we are and we know what we stand for. 'Business' is a love song."

On the album: "Business is everything. It's work, it's war, it's politics, it's our health. Business is angry and ugly, it's vulnerable and it speaks for all of us. I wanted to make an album that pins you to the wall from start to finish, and that's what Business does." 

Despite a whirlwind 2025, which included supports with The Sex Pistols, The Undertones, selling out headline shows across the UK and Europe, Glastonbury, 2000trees, and Download Festival, Lily (guitar and vocals) and Lewis (drums) somehow managed to find the time to write and record 11 tracks of their most politically charged, hard-hitting music to date.

With producer Dan Weller at the helm, Business is a modern punk classic. Fan favourites like 'So Modern' (Keep Up)' are captured with all the energy and scuzziness from the band's live show, and title track 'Business' goes hard, taking taking aim at the challenges found within today's music industry.

There is no shortage of fast paced moments; 'Love To Lose' is the ideal hype song, while 'Fight' crams minutes of energy into one thirty second burst. Other highlights include 'Disorder (Wake Up)' - a commentary on the world as we know it; or 'Like Gravity', a journey of self-deprecation. On Business, The Meffs prove they are not a band to be pigeonholed. 

Since exploding onto the UK scene, The Meffs have built up a reputation as purveyors of frantic punk rock and an absolute must-see live sensation. A hugely impressive DIY outfit, they have already supported Alice Cooper, Kings of Leon at BST Hyde Park, Bearded Theory, Beautiful Days festival, and The Damned. The duo are also Music Venue Trust patrons and longtime supporters of grassroots venues - and are currently supporting Stiff Little Fingers across the UK.

Amulets, created by Portland-based audio/visual artist Randall Taylor, has unveiled their new single 'Coiled', featuring multi-instrumentialist Patrick Shiroishi. This is the second taken from new EP Rem(a)inders, out 10th April via Pelagic Records.

Against a hazy analogue backdrop, ambient guitars reverberate and echo through the sonic landscape, creating a sensation of weightlessness that is both calming and unsettling. Melancholic and soaring, ‘Black Sheep’ evokes a presence of isolation and longing in the emptiness. Through patient unfolding, this minimalist, poignant atmosphere raises in intensity, deliberate in its unhurried movement, leaving room for each sound to breathe, evolve, and fade into the next.

Amulets’ new album Rema(i)nders marks his debut on Pelagic Records, a fitting home for a record that thrives in the liminal space between heaviness and fragility. Deeply immersive, the album navigates the dreamy boundaries between the tangible and the ethereal, where sound behaves as memory itself: unstable, layered, and quietly transformative. 

Randall Taylor's work uses analog tape and its imperfections to explore themes like degradation and nostalgia and their relationship to technology and to the self. By constructing and modifying tape loops and repurposing antiquated cassette players, Taylor creates dense, never-ending, looping soundscapes for both his live performances and sculptural sound art installations.

Known for his ability to weave soundscapes that evoke powerful emotions with minimalistic instrumentation, Taylor’s newest project is a masterful exploration of mood, atmosphere, and texture.

Taylor commented: “Rema(i)nders started as a fragmented collection of songs, memories, ideas, and feelings that I wanted to mash and warp together beyond recognition. What I ended up creating was a beautiful mosaic of texture and light in this darkening world. To remain is to remind. To remind is to remain."

UK metal hellraisers HERIOT recently toured North America for the first time, supporting Trivium, with Jinjer.

Today HERIOT reveal their live session with renowned music discovery platform Audiotree, recorded on tour.

Playing tracks from their debut album Devoured by the Mouth of Hell, HERIOT’s Audiotree Live performance doubles down on the crushing claustrophobia of their previous work, conjuring up a sound as raw and direct as ever. During their interview with Audiotree host, Jason Nitts, the band chat about touring with Trivium and Jinjer, touring North America for the first time, and the creative process behind Devoured by the Mouth of Hell.

The music of Noctule is heavily inspired by video games, with her debut album Wretched Abyss themed to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Wretched Abyss was released in 2021 via Church Road Records to critical acclaim. 

Through icy leads, blast beats, orchestration and tremolo picked melodies, Serena writes heavy sonic love letters to her favourite video games.

A follow-up album is expected for release in 2026.
